So Today I finally broke down and are HEB BBQ, and sorry but it was just ok. BBQ everywhere is not cheap, but for a couple more dollars I could have had, hands down, the best BBQ ever. Won t stick their name in here cause everyones tastes differ. But 4 sides and maybe 3/4 pounds off BBQ for 40+ dollars is a rip.

This was my first time eating here. They need to update pictures of food. I ordered beans and brisket that looked great in the app got something that looked like soup and resembled nothing like the picture. The 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade could not taste lemon at all. It tasted like watered down tea. Brisket was super tender with no seasoning. Sausage was ok - nothing special. Greens were surprisingly well seasoned and Cole slaw was bland. Overall probably won t eat there again. Maybe just to try the ribs.

The pulled pork is the only thing that s worth ordering from this place. Everything else lacks seasoning with a very bland taste and the bbq sauce is not good at all. My first time ordering ribs and couldn t finish them. This is a great example of quantity over quality in the food industry. If you re a bbq lover with high expectations, this is definitely not the place. Save yourself the time and take the trip to Round Rock or Austin to explore better bbq spots.

Kimberly s service was phenomenal. She did above and beyond unlike the other employees that were trying to find things to do for 6 minutes. Many people were standing in line for 4 minutes when they could have been taking orders does it matter if the clock says 10:56 or 11:00; it s Friday people!!!!!

First of all food was amazing ! Staff greets you and smiles just like any traditional Texas spot. We are visiting from Houston to watch the Solar Eclipse and enjoyed ourselves some good lunch here. Definitely recommend making a stop here. We got the brisket and pulled pork with mac n cheese and potato salad with a baked potato.

I was very underwhelmed by the food I received. The amount of money you spend compared to the amount of food you get feels like a rip off. The food was mediocre at best and left me unsatisfied. I won t be going back because I like to get what I paid for and this is not it. I will say that the cashier was very friendly and provided good service. Just wish the food was better and the portion size matched the prices they charge.

I swear you always believe what people say about a place until you go for yourself. I bought a brisket sandwich to take to work since I didnt get a chance to eat. I thought this is going to be the best brisket I have ever eaten in my life...NOT, lol. The brisket had no flavor and the sauce they give you didnt even touch it. I was so da*n disappointed. Its a lesson learn because I will NEVER go there AGAIN!! FYI, if you guys need help with the brisket, ribs, etc my husband friend is the one uou guys need to be talking to. Now this is some dang good bbq for a great price point. The brisket banh mi is great but definitely eat it with bbq. The banana pudding is a little too sweet for me and personally I like more real banana chunks in my pudding but still good. Sweet tea was a 9/10. Definitely out shines some of the other bbq Ive had at restaurants.

I was very disappointed went to get dinner for myself ordered the brisket plate when I get home for the day I m fine just one slice of big fat glob Harley no meat on it. This is the 2nd location weve tried and both were great! It is real slow smoked Texas BBQ. Portions and prices were excellent. Even the dining room & decor were very nice. The only downside, and reminder that the location is inside a grocery store, were the constant overhead announcements from the store service desk! Might have to take it to go next time.

Had ordered a large catering order. When we went to pick it up it was ready and on time. Very professional staff and great experience. Food was amazing. We ordered the Loaded Baked Potao bar. Potatoes were large , great size. Many of the women ate half and were very satisfied. We will definitely be using HEBs True Texas BBQ again for our events. Thank you to the staff and the catering staff for making this process so easy and such an enjoyable experience. I am impressed. Definitely recommend to anyone planning an even to use them for your food option.

Yo, check it out, I recently hit up this spot for some grub and ordered a two meat plate with St. Louis ribs and fatty brisket, along with a side of potato salad and mac and cheese. And let me tell you, everything was pretty dope, except for that mac and cheese, it was like, meh. But even with that letdown, I still gotta give this joint a solid four outta five, cause overall, it was a pretty rad meal. I mean, those ribs and brisket were straight fire, and the sides were no slouch either. Just wish that mac and cheese had a little more flavor, ya know? Great value and even better flavor!! Its not often I can honestly say great things about a bbq place, as I really dislike a dry brisket, but youll find a great spot if you give this place a try, surprised me, because its designed and operated like a typical franchise Great location to save your wallet from those impulse buys too!

My and my family love this place. Their Frito pie is 5 stars and I personally love their loaded Mac and cheese. Was surprised I could get a flight of beers which was nice cause I wanted to try a few. Atmosphere is quite nice. Great spot if you want a quick bite to eat of BBQ.

Well, first the manager was the cashier. He was very patient as it was our first time visit. We ordered a 1/4 chicken, mac & cheese w/ side salad and, banana pudding. That was the best Ive had in Killeen so far. My wife got the briskquet, mac & cheese, green beans with banana pudding. Both meals beat Rudys, and other texas bbq that I have had. So from my experience, this chow was the best.

I LOVE this place and I visit it frequently, but the last couple of times I been here, they have messed up my order .to the point where it s very frustrating. Jonald also can work on his customer service skills and can use some extra training on the register, because he is part of the problem as far as orders coming out wrong. I believe he may be ringing them up wrong. Nevertheless, the food is good, just the customer service is starting to decline. Please fix it! It s not as if the food is cheap and if I am paying for some overpriced food I would like for it to be done right and not have to deal with poor attitudes because I want more order fixed.

I think the set-up is stupid . You pickup bbq. Then you have to get you own Utensils and sauce from a stupid machine You even have to get your own napkins

The food is okay but Ive been here 4 times and every time they screw something up. I dont know if its bad customer service or what but we ordered two plates and each of them had macaroni. One of them looked like it was hours old, congealed cheese and tough pasta and the other one looked like it was completely fresh. The turkey was dry this time too and the green beans were overly seasoned (I liked them but my husband couldnt eat it). The brisket was delicious though as it is every time... possibly the reason I keep going back but unfortunately the price just isnt worth the hassle of the screw ups.

I Cant Rate it,It was closed.At least 2 or 3 employees saw me standing at the counter waiting.But I had to go up &ask someone who was standing inside the restaurant;Another Customer who had just eaten.How do you get waited on in this place?He saidOh they are closed. So I left.There were employees there mopping &cleaning 2 or 3;they saw me at the counter waiting ;but ignored me;totally! They saw me standing at the place where you order food; but kept on working; Rude.So I probably wont go back there.

Ordered 4 items, received 1 which they gave me an alternate because they didnt have what I ordered. Bag was NOT sealed and inside the bag, the box for my food was opened. Called dasher and she said she waited for 15 min and they told her that everything was there. She also said the employees were all chatting, giggling and ignoring her when she was trying to ask. She had called me while waiting for the food and I could hear them laughing and talking from a distance. The lady at the desk claims the dasher left early and didnt wait for the order. Did not even get a receipt with my order. HOW IS THIS OK?! Neither the restaurant nor doordash attempted to resolve the issue and were both rude. The 1 thing I did get was also COLD.

Unflavored food and customer service. After you wade your way through the borderline rude customer service, You will need salt and pepper for the overcooked mac and cheese, honey for the overcooked baked beans, and sweet baby rays bbg sauce for the sawdust chicken..
