Overall- The food was good, but there is nothing to rave about. This would not be a restaurant that Ill be returning to. Food-The chicken sandwich was probably the best meal ordered with the chicken cooked well to where it was tender, along with the guacamole. Though it wasnt very flavorful. There was a charge for both mayo and ranch to be on the side, which was not mentioned. The brownie sundae is not recommendable if you are looking to get a good amount for the price. For $10, you get a large cup, with a small brownie square and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drink-A virgin Shirley Temple was ordered, of which the grenadine on each order was charged. Again, without being told to me. Service-The waitress was friendly, but a little too casual, at least for me. Though she did come by repeatedly to check in and food/drinks were brought out quickly. Atmosphere - I did appreciate the music being at a good volume to where my group could hear it without it being overpowering. We did go on a Saturday at 6 and it wasnt very busy.

We gave it a shot to have our fantasy football draft here. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive. But it goes south from there. The old fashion was very weak. The burger was ok, but it would not be something to crave. The brownie Sunday was good, but for $10, you get a small scoop of ice cream that looks tiny in the big scooner cup they serve it in. Its definitely not worth the price. My daughter ordered a Shirley temple, and they charge $1.00 for the cherry flavor on every refill. They dont tell you this. I ordered some mayo for my burger and was charged $.55 for a little container, again, dont tell you. When the bill comes, you can pay by scanning the QR code. They already had a 20% tip added to the bill, but when you scan, it adds another tip. If you do not pay attention, you will be double tipping. The waitress acted like she had no idea. We will not be going back. The food is not great, and they up charge you on so much stuff. I dont recommend anything from this place.

My wife and I stopped in here a couple times over the last three weeks. Yesterday, we both had this feature burger on a pretzel bun with beer cheese and onion strings. It was excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and lively without being chaotic. Our servers have been great both times. Highly recommend for a low-stress, low-cost lunch or dinner with no pretense.

Brunch for 4 adults..was charged for extra butter and syrup received a very small serving of each..enough for 1 serving . Ordered a bucket of mimosas .. received a individual cranberry juice, enough for maybe 2 servings and was again charged for more cranberry juice to finish our champagne. The food is incredibly bland. Went at 2 pm on a Saturday and had their brunch menu. Got the huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito with home fries. All of the above were underseasoned and just bland. Asked for over easy eggs, got over hard. This was only my second time here. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Just like my first visit, everything and everyone was on point; from the time we entered and throughout our lunch. Staff are very friendly, attentive, and informative. The food was tasty and the prices were good. We will be returning again. Maybe for brunch next time. Thanks for a pleasant experience.

The waitress was great. She was nice and attentive. My husband had brisket sliders with fried onions. I had the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. He had sweet tea, and I had water and the Jalapeño strawberries margarita. Thi isnt the best brisket but will do after the BBQ places closed for the day. The kitchen put the wrong sides on my plate and no sides on my husbands. I think I am the only one who orders the jalapeño strawberry margarita, or they forgot to shake the bottle syrup for jalapeño and it over powered the strawberries.

This is a unique place to dine. We enjoyed a birthday dinner with our son in law and family. The food was very good and our waitress was training a new hire but was very diligent with keeping up with everything at our table. Something that was very important for a young waitress to see first hand. The management here is subpar they are not concerned about their cook s inconsistency in food preparation. Everytime I go there their food is prepared a different way. I never know if I m going to get what is actually on the menu and tasting good or if I m going to get the lazy cook who makes the food how he pleases. The wait staff is a bunch of 20 year old girls who can t keep up with a table of 5. Ordered drinks and appetizers and asked for silverware 6 times. Asked 3 different people and finally our waitress brought us some 15 minutes later when we were almost done with our appetizers. The temple location is wonderful and we never have issues. But I guess Killeen has to live up to their low standards and hire low quality workers. We go for brunch since brunch spots are limited here and every Sunday we go it never fails we get champagne glasses with lip marks on them dirty smudges. When this place first opened I loved going! But in the last year it s taken a nose dive and I m sure from the lack of people in the restaurant when we go management can clearly see they are failing. We will just make the drive to temple from now on since this place can t get it together.

Mixed feelings about this place. The buffalo and Thai chili wings were plump and great. However, they only came with two small celery sticks, which was disappointing. There should be a decent balance for a dozen wings. I enjoyed my scrumptious burger. However, the flimsy fries are weak in flavor and leave much to be desired. Also, one half of the restaurant by the bar has nice views for watching sports games while the other does not. Our server frequently interrupted my friends and I mid conservation too. It was annoying. I think this place has potential to improve but nothing stands out about it.

The place looked nice, and the staff were friendly. I had the golden chicken strips. The fries were okay, and the chicken was flavorless. My husband had the Urban Cowboy. The menu states that the craft burgers are made with a route 66 smash style patty, cooked to order. We expected a fresh ground beef patty, smashed, and served with a certain degree of doneness, like rare, medium rare, or well. The waitress didnt ask how he wanted his burger. What he got was an obviously frozen preformed patty, shaped like a hockey puck and just as tasty. For a price tag of over $60, it isnt worth it, and we wont be back. My advice? If you are looking for grilled hamburger perfection, skip this place and head to the nearest 5 guys burgers and fries. There you can watch as your burger is made fresh to perfection right in front of you! Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options.

Definitely not what it used to be I put in a ticket order for $50 which included peach cobbler by the time I got home the ice cream was soup because they put it on top of the chili. The chili tasted burnt I paid $4.50 extra for it to be aside and it was barely half a cup . Overpriced and not the way that we got it the first time just a couple months ago tried to call to talk to a manager and cannot get through no one is answering. Needless to say we will not be returning.

I decided to watch a playoff game at Backporch after driving by and always seeing a crowded parking lot on weekends and seeing a picture of a burger they offer. I was greeted and seated immediately. The waitress came over shortly after and took my drink order. She recommended I try the burgers over anything else. My first drink came, and it wasnt the greatest, but not the worst. I decided on a burger, and the waitress recommended the house chips. My food came out after a short wait, and it honestly looked amazing! I took a bite, and I was instantly disappointed. It had zero flavor. My chips were a crispy and soggy mix. The crispy chips were actually good. My second drink came out, and it was a no-go for me. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and it wasnt packed like most places can be during that time. I might return for appetizers on a game day in the future.

Excellent customer service, great food and drinks. Nice atmosphere and the bathroom was clean with running water. Also, the amount of food they served was just right; I was full for the remainder of the day. Stopped in for a quick bite and a beer. This place is a solid choice for great food and good conversations. I arrived for the brunch menu and ate the chicken and biscuits with gravy. There are few things more American than some fined tuned gravy resting on the perfectly grilled body of chicken wrapped in happiness sitting on top of a butter milk biscuit. We drive all the way to Killeen from Temple to go to this location. The food is fresh and delicious and the wait staff is 90% wonderful. The bar can get a little rowdy which is okay but if youre not into that then it probably wouldnt be for you. Kid-friendliness: I dont have a problem with the bar rowdy every now and then. I know that it would bother some people. My kids dont mind but they are older.

Had a last-minute dinner decision come along and we revisited Backporch Drafthouse. Interior design is a little different from the Temple location but still has a comfortable feel walking in. It was also a recently hired waitress...that in the end did a great job. On our previous visit, I had The Big Daddy Burger but they were out of bacon jam. I was able to fully appreciate the creation this time with the addition of loaded french fries. Good stuff! Fries seemed to be missing something... maybe a dash or two of sour cream as the flavor came across very rich. The chicken tenders were solid, pretty large and I can imagine the leftovers will make for great sandwiches. The Farm To Market salad was as tasty as it was beautiful. With excellent service and great food, I cant ask for much more.

I give it 3 stars because the food was good. The service was awful. The bartenders only tend to people they know. I hope they know them due to the profanity that was coming out of their mouths. You would think with older women behind the bar they would have a little more respect. In the middle of eating one of the bartenders screamed across the entire restaurant for waitstaff to come grab their drinks. It sent most people at the bar into a riot and they made fun of the girls as they came up to grab their drinks. It was horrible to watch.

The bar was very packed, which made it loud. This is fully understandable, but the waitresses were more focused on the bar and not the dining area. The brisket sandwich I ordered had very little brisket. It was more of a lettuce sandwich. My friend ordered a burger. It looked much better than my lettuce sandwich, but it too was lacking actual meat. I could have had twice the food from a fast food chain for half the price.
