I have been a Tookies patron for 35+ years and love to eat here when i return to the area. I have always enjoyed the Tookie Burger till this visit. When you order the Veteran Burger it should taste like the Burger from years past with the seasoning that made the Burger so special. The burger was just a burger and the meat was nothing special. Sad day in the burger world.

This place is awesome EVERY time I visit!!! The Squealer is delicious, the onion rings are perfect, and the staff has always been attentive and friendly! Weve had numerous team meetings, reunions, and family outings over the years, and have always received these great qualities!!! We had a great experience on our first visit. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and hello. The food was hot and tasty. Excellent job all around. We had pelican eggs, rings, and a Buffalo chicken sandwich. Plenty of food at reasonable prices. Pet-friendly patio. We will be back.

Ive been dining out for decades, and I ve never encountered a hostess, I believe her name was Tori, as rude as the one here. She spent most of her time on the phone, barely acknowledging me when I arrived. When I asked for a table, she looked at me like I was an inconvenience, speaking to me in a condescending tone and rolling her eyes. If this is how they treat their customers, I won t be returning.

I was excited to try their burgers that been around for a long time. I read up on the history of this place. It seemed very interesting to me. I have been to Tbone Toms, which has the same owners. I was supposed to try Tookies Seafood also, but that did not happen this go around. I ordered the Cheeseburge with Pepper Jack and Cheddar Cheese and Hoola Hoops, for my main entree. I ordered the Fried Mushrooms and Fried Pickles for the appetizers. I enjoyed the apps. When I got the burger it was huge and looked so good! Looks can be deceiving though. Patty was not seasoned. I wonder if they just put the meat on the grill and think that its gonna season itself. That was a huge let down because I wanted to Love the burger. I can love something that isnt seasoned. I may try again in the future, but I will definitely tell them to season my patty. I also didnt like how they piled us all in one room. It was very uncomfortable. The waitress had to keep squeezing by and I thought that was quite rude.

Edited on 11th. AUG 2024 price increase. The best burgers me and my family ever had. The food is so delicious especially 198 with egg the sandwiches are juicy. the service is fast even if the restaurant is full,. all the waiters and waitresses are handsome, beautiful, so polite, and very attentive. I would give it a 10 stars. I recommend it to all of my friends and family. The average price is $20 per person We are 4 persons in my party. We ordered 198 with egg, 98 with egg, hot dogs, chili cheese burger, 4 drinks , 1 French fries, 1 French fries and onion rings combo. Total $80 with tip. Our waitress was Crickett she was wonderful, and I miss her brother Laredo who used to work here too.

Fun place! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately a storm blew in as we were sitting outside, the waitress was very quick and accommodating to find us a table inside. Full bar, yummy frozen cocktails, kids menu with activities/ crayons. Each server and employee we encountered was pleasant and personable. Food was delicious. Try the onion rings! The back part of the restaurant we were seated in was very hot. The waiter was attending tables in several sections, so we did not get much attention. Hamburgers did not seem as good as they used to be, but it could have been how uncomfortable we were in the heat. The last two times we were there, other patrons were very, very loud, for the entire time they were seated. To the point it was difficult to hear anyone at our own table. If this was a bar or club, i would get it, but this is a restaurant. I would expect the staff to say something. We have loved Tookies in the past, but given our last two visits I dont think we will be going back.

The service was good. Very friendly staff. We had fried pickles that were good. Ranch is good. My daughter enjoyed her buffalo chicken sandwich. I got chicken fingers and my other child got a burger. Nothing spectacular if I am being honest. I hadnt been here in years. It was not as nostalgic as I had hoped. I have great childhood memories at the old place. The burgers are really solid. Try the Balboa if you want something unique, topped with fried mozzarella, marinara lettuce, tomato and mayo. It is an unfamiliar but delicious combination. The buffalo chicken sandwich is excellent as well. By default the burgers are a little well done for my tastes but you can request otherwise. 7.5/10

The food was excellent, as it always is and the service was great. The staff is mostly younger, but they are very friendly, helpful, upbeat, and and always smiling! But, it was over 100 degrees outside, and the restaurant was completely full. And unfortunately their HVAC system couldnt quite keep it and so it was a little warm for my taste. Although we live in the area, we avoided coming here for a while because of the road construction. But this time on Friday evening we were surprised by the light traffic on 146. The restaurant had plenty of people but we got a table right away. Food is great as usual. My fish sandwich had a gigantic piece of cod with a great crunchy batter. My husband gobbled down his burger in no time. We shared a fry and their famous onion rings and after that we were stuffed!

I feel like if my family had gone on a different day things would have been better. We went on fathers day with 5 people and waited almost an hour. Worst restaurant experience Ive had in a LONG time. Online said there was no wait. Arrived and they told us there was a 20 minute wait. We waited over 45 minutes. They told us there was 1 party of 5 in front of us. They proceeded to call 3 more parties of 5. Then I overheard one of the hostesses telling another girl they were getting Thompson party of 9 ready. She had to tell her companion, not 9! 5! Well no wonder they were taking so long to seat us. Upon sitting, I overhear the table next to us asking why its been an hour since they ordered and havent received their food. While waiting with 4 small children, we had to stand the entire time while sweating profusely because its 101 degrees outside and feels the exact same temperature in the small excuse for a waiting area. We were constantly being bumped into by staff and other guests being crammed like sardines. Absolute joke of a professional business. My kids were all in almost tears because they were so hot and hungry before we even sat down... Now we begin the minimum hour wait for our food...

The bar had only two chairs that were being used.The hostess said her name was jess. She is the type of employee who will run your customers off for good! Got food and drove off cause this isnt McDonalds and it certainly cost more... Got back to the hotel and my wifes burger was fine, but they forgot my avocado. Checked the receipt and yep, I was charged for it. Called them to let them know the problem and they could have a few minutes to prepare the resolution... The resolution: slices of avocado in a separate to go container. So I got back to the hotel, finished preparing my meal and ate a cold burger and fries. It was meh, and certainly not worth the price. I wasn t blown away by anything in particular but it was really good and we will definitely go back. Nice place to sit and enjoy the weather with a burger and beer.

I couldnt have asked for a more beautiful birthday lunch for my mom We were fortunate enough to have the BEST waitress Tookies has to offer, Ms. Kat!! She was attentive, kind, and treated my mom like she was her mom. When my mom wasnt a fan of the spicy chili, she went back to the kitchen and got the not so spicy one and then made sure it was ok when she brought it back for my mom. The food was SO GOOD! And the drink I got was tasty too. Kat even brought out a little birthday pie for my mom, and it was all decorated It was a beautiful day out, and we enjoyed our food, service, and time there. Thank you, Kat, for being an outstanding waitress!

my wife and I went there for lunch, had a good time, we ate on the patio,paid the bill and left, the waitress then, yell and chase us down, saying that she need the receipt, everyone turn to look at us,I told her I only have my copy, she was rude demanding to see, I showed her, but that wasnt good enough, I continue to tell her I dont have it, she finally went to the table and found that the wind blew it on the ground with the pen attach to it. she turn walk away, all the while not at least saying Im sorry, she ran us down like we stole something. but we truth came to light, she never mentioned a Im sorry!

Just not a good as it used to be. Ive always ordered the #99 but it may add all have been a regular burger. The flavor I was used to wasnt there. Service was very good. The food was mediocre and made me come to the conclusion that theyre relying on the name versus serving what used to be great, flavorful food.
