*Pace of play is not enforced here*They charge a spectator fee for anyone riding but not playing and they also pair you up with other players if you arent 4 so they are double dipping and ripping people off. Again they absolutely do not enforce pace of play. My group was at 4 hours play time at hole 14 because a 4some ahead was playing putt putt down the fairways. We just left after hole 14 because I wasnt about to wait another hour for 4 holes. When I spoke to a rep at the clubhouse they said 4.5 hours was their acceptable play time. Im not sure in what universe 4.5 hours is an acceptable pace of play let alone 5 hours. The course looks nice but the ground is hard as a rock everywhere. You might fly your wedge to the green perfectly and the greens are so rock hard you just bounce a mile high and roll way off the back. Play good shots and just get punished for it. This is not a players course. All the members are over 50 and play 5 hour rounds of golf. Save your money and play somewhere else, the staff isnt going to do anything to help you or even offer any sort of compensation for loss of time. This was my 3rd time playing here and Im never going to play here again, as bad as iron horse. Play fossil Creek instead.

My expectations were high, but unfortunately this course did not live up to the hype. The views from the clubhouse are very nice. Time of year, but the course was in terrible condition. Dried out and minimal maintenance. I would only recommend this course to play during a different season.

Course has gone from 250 members a few years ago - to over 500 now. Very difficult to get early tee times - am a member and would play more often if early tee times were available. 7 days in advance and the earliest tee time is 9:30 when it s going to be 100 degrees outside. If you need a lesson, Simon is great, though.

Terribley, my teenage daughter was playing and someone man looked in her Terribley and also him was drinking, she get nervous and she call me to pick up, she was terrified to play there, Sky creek needs to be careful with youth girls , we dont know what kind of people playing theres, sometimes, we get new people moving here and how I can trust them. Great course! Tough but fair. Best part of the club though is the people that work there. General Manager Gabriel sets the tone for the one of the most welcoming and helpful staffs in DFW. I play a few rounds a week all over the Metroplex and Sky Creek Ranch is now in my top three courses.

Course was in great shape. It s definitely a challenge and a good test of your whole game. If you survive the first 6 holes it gets a little more forgiving. Greens were great. Pace of play was a little slow but it was father s Day weekend. Would definitely play again.

We hosted our son s wedding rehearsal dinner at Sky Creek. Everything was perfect from the facility, to the staff and the catering! Everyone was so helpful and kind and Keaton was an absolute breeze to work with! She made excellent suggestions for the menu and our guests were all smiles! We would highly recommend this venue!

Overpriced, shotty course with horrendous staff. Pathetic and disgraceful behavior by Keaton, threatening people while making blatantly false accusations. Played a round here with my dad this morning. On the drive home they called and accused us of a stealing a McDonalds happy meal goodie bag from some scam event they were running while threatening to call the police.

Golf here was great, the course was well maintained outside of the tee boxes, which were pretty abysmal. The bar/restaurant area is awesome with a ton of TV s, large seating area both inside and outside looking out on the course. Menu looked promising, some bbq, sandwiches, wraps, and they also had an old school ice cream cart. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of jalapeño mac n cheese. The wrap had chopped breaded tenders on the inside which were good but the wrap was very unbalanced. Kind of fell apart, and each bite was either 90/10 lettuce chicken, or the other way around. Lacked buffalo sauce as well, not a ton of flavor. Service was great at the bar, friendly and fast.

PLEASE READ I am a firm believer on you get what you pay for, so you would think a $125 course would be premium......WRONG!!!! Sky Creek is beyond overpriced. For the SAME price you can play the Texas Rangers course that is in 100x better shape and range balls are included. I played Sky Creek 3/11/24 and this is my take 1. Almost every fairway has hard compact dirt scattered and little to no grass 2. Tee boxes are dead 3. Chipping area is just dirt 4.Hole 9 keep your head on a swivel because you are hitting down a fairway with the practice range towards you on your left 5. When you get down the 9th fairway it is littered with range balls from people chipping past the chipping area 6. My round was 4 1/2-5 hours long and only saw a cart girl ONCE.

Course conditions were below average especially for the price. Front 9 had a lot of dry/dirt areas. For the price overall you should have better Tee boxes and greens. The Tee boxes were mostly dirt and sand and not taken care of. If you are playing a course( at this price point $100) at least minimum the Tee box and greens should be in decent conditions. Members ahead of us were playing 2-3 balls at time not keeping the pace of play. Having multiple groups behind them and no group in front of them in sight. Marshals were out on the course one time trying to speed the pace of play with no avail. I went to the ProShop to express my dismay only to be received with jokingly comments and a sarcastic response that he will follow up with their superintendent. Some things are understandable at this time of year but some things( members) need to be addressed. Would have been 3 stars if not for the members.

The food and service are excellent. Brisket is top tier and the prime ribeye is prepared to perfection. I love the brussel sprouts also. With a full or sport membership, the food is heavily discounted. The restaurant prefers reservations and they have to be made an hour in advance.

Terrible pace of play with no motivation to address it. Multiple times there were 3+ carts, fivesomes, and no marshals. We were told that full members get special privileges, which I guess includes playing as slowly as they want. They did not adjust their rates for daylight savings, unlike Bridlewood. The parking lot is small, leading to cars being parked wherever they want to park, often blocking two-way traffic. If you want to cancel your membership, be sure to do so before the end of the month or they will charge you (even though they do not charge until the 15th of the month). I cancelled on December 4th, and had to pay $93. Seems a bit much given that they currently charge $150/month for the sport membership. If your looking to choose between Sky Creek and Bridlewood, Id advise you go with Bridlewood.

Let me preface by saying that the venue is beautiful and the food is delicious! This rating is specifically for the dinner service/banquets. I am not bashing the venue, I am merely informing what happened during my event and I am not asking for any compensation. I hope I do not get any retaliation because despite these issues, I still like Sky Creek Ranch and only want them to do better. I would like to apologize to the general manager for posting this online but I feel that people need to know their current unwritten policies that they are not up front about. There is still no feedback from Sky Creek Ranch of some form of improvement or apologies for their oversight on these matters (maybe because they think it is not an oversight). The events manager is unapologetic and sticking to these rules without showing me their written company policy in our contracts so just be aware of these things you may encounter: (I had paid for salad, bread, 2 sides and 4 main entrees for 70 adults and 72 showed up during dinner service) 1) They do not replenish plates and utensils even if there s still substantial food in the buffet unless you pay up. (they claim they gave me 85 regular sized plates for 70 guests) CONTRACT STATES venue rental fee INCLUDES the use of plate/utensils but they will not tell you that there is a limit. It is essentially 1 plate and 1 set of utensils per person is to be expected for a buffet setup. Any more than this is frowned upon. You d have to argue with the events manager for more plates/utensils during the event before she gives you some and then informs you that any more plates will be charged. 2) They will claim that any leftover is assumed to be the Chef s 10% allowance and that chef made so much more food than what you paid for so they will take it away or pay up again. Maybe you could request to separate your paid food and theirs because there s no way of telling. 3) 1 hour 10 minutes from the start to end of food service time for a 4-hour event. Any leftover at the 1 hour and 10-minute mark is deemed EXPIRED FOOD as per the events manager so it will be taken away to be eaten by the staff without any notice to the client or you will also not be given a last call warning. Buffet/Dinner service end time is not in the contract and was not discussed before the event. So make sure to have that in the contract to avoid confusion. 4) Client will not be given any say on what happens to the extra food they paid for. This is not discussed in the contract. (but they will insist it s not the food that you paid for but the chef s 10%+ so it is technically not your food) 5) You paid for all these foods but guests are expected to only go to the buffet one time only. Going back for seconds is considered eat all you can buffet and this as they say is not an eat-all-you -can buffet. If your guests want to try the food they didn t get on the first go, well too bad they cant. Guests are expected to only go to the buffet line one time only and expect them to use one plate and pile up their food and that s it. (as for my event, they expect a salad, rice, potato, full serving of beef, full serving of shrimp, full serving of chicken, full serving of bone in thick porkchop, bread and butter piled up in just 1 plate). Again, this was not discussed and is not in the contract. Request appropriate number of plates for the amount of food ordered. Include salad plates, bread plates, etc. if possible and be specific about these. 6) No dessert forks for your cake so guests will have to use the fork that they used in their meals. 7) Pre-purchased sodas are hidden in a bucket where guests won t see it so you won t know how much was actually served. They will not inform you if there s any left or if it s already all gone. Request to have sodas displayed beside the water and ice tea/lemonade drink station. 8) Check your final invoice and make sure there is no overcharge. Skycreek: I can connect you to a Reata ex catering manager that may consider helping with the incompetencies for a fee.

Everyone at Sky Creek Ranch did absolutely amazing!! From the planning, to the ceremony, to the food everything was perfect. Keaton was wonderful with the planning and getting everything organized for the big day. She was very friendly and attentive any time I had questions, and she was great with being flexible anytime I wanted to make changes. We had our own private bridal suite for me and my bridesmaids to get ready. We really appreciated having this quiet private space to get ready, then having a safe place to leave our things that was locked during the ceremony and reception. This is a gorgeous venue with a beautiful set up for our outdoor ceremony. The area for the ceremony and the clubhouse were set up perfectly. We were so surprised how reasonably priced the bar was. We had a cash bar because it made the most sense for us. Not only was the bar service wonderful, everything was very reasonably priced so all of our guests were happy to buy their own drinks. The waitstaff was very friendly and very attentive. No one could stop talking about how amazing the food was. The appetizers we had were stuffed mushrooms and spinach artichoke. They were both great and everyone loved them. We had the garden salad with ranch or balsamic, which tasted wonderful and was the perfect portion. For the sides we had rolls with butter (which I had my husband get me more lol), herb roasted potatoes, and sautéed squash and zucchini (which I would never normally eat, but ate every piece). Then our entree was an 8oz Ribeye, cooked medium rare to medium. The ribeye was AMAZING! It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were also able to provide food for or DJ and his assistant as well as our officiant/day of coordinator and her assistant. This was a big thing for us and very much appreciate by them. I could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding! And we cannot stop talking about how perfectly everything went!!

We have to drive over 60 miles to play here. Even so, over the last couple of years, we have played here about three or four times a year. We find the course fairly demanding, in reasonable shape with good greens and level tees. Pace of play during the week is fantastic; we play in just over three hours. Sure, there are ball marks on the greens but we try to repair at least 10 on every green as we go through. Not so fond of the traps, but it is early in the season. Even though weve played it twice already four months into the year, we will likely return three or four more times. We simply enjoy the course. UPDATE - 09-05-2023 I got a note today I had over 1,000 reads of a Google review. I checked and it was this one. It is no longer valid. In 2019, many of our group, after playing, decided we would not return. We re not wild golfers; we play to under-15 handicaps. We just found the course too tricky to play. Perhaps if we lived closer, we would remember all the places we shouldn t hit it. We just found too many good shots unfairly penalized. Haven t been back since.

Me and a couple of friends played today at Sky Creek Ranch. I tried to book on online and was not able to do so . I called the pro shop and booked our outing. We were not told of any maintenance being done to course. We found out that hole 9 was turned into a par 3 and hole 18 was made a par 3. We were very dissatisfied with the condition of the course. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were lacking water. The greens had been aerified and lacked sand to help them heal.Was told the course hadnt had rain since June 15th. I have played alot of courses here in the Metroplex and none have been in this condition .

Course looked great and played well. Pace of play was terrible. We had 7:38am tee time, when we get to the box, there is a group waiting to tee off waiting for fairway to clear. So we tee off almost 15-20 min late. Saw the marshal at least 3-4 times pushing groups, we were on #10 tee waiting for the group that literally just left the box (He passed them) and he starts harping about keeping up with group ahead of us... 5 hours on Friday morning is a terrible pace

Bad experience after 7 year membership. They had a 32% price increase in June. My account was on autopay, but Capital One kicked this back as an error. Capital One did their job, SkyCreek didnt value me enough for a reach out and I didnt notice. So after taking summer off due to injury and heat, I went up there to hit a bucket of balls and they wanted me to pay back months to stay a member. I couldnt see spending that money when I really think its their fault (the 32% price increase triggered the autopay to be questioned, and they didnt proactively or reactively contact me to make sure a 32% price increase would be acceptable. I think this is called slamming and maybe the attorney general will want to know. I also could (today) pay over $300 for a bucket of balls ($200 prior months plus prepay for the next) . So I tried to discuss this with the GM who really didnt want to keep me as a customer. He never took any accountability and since they have good membership now - his apathy showed. Ive watched their price increase over the years - but the 32% was a shock. I always had a few billing problems (I paid but their system showed I did not), and their services have been routinely shut down (driving range broken, restaurant closed. Somewhat normal golf club stuff - but I never really felt they cared and now I know. I will be messaging Jonathan Bird (GM) and Josh Smith (Owner) to let them know how their 32% price increase and bad customer treatment will trigger some increased communication on my part to other golfers. They asked us all for grace during COVID, and I kept paying - even thru a rotator cuff issue, and some health issues - but now when membership is back up they are making it hard for the little guys to stay in. I wish I hadnt spent so much money with these guys over the years - they really make you feel like you are doing them a favor.

This is the fairest review you will read. The is always in great shape. Pace of play is never an issue and All the staff are professionals. This course is extremely difficult and I always leave it feeling like I should sell my clubs and take up bowling. I lost more balls on this course then I had in my bag one time. This is a top flight or Dunlop course no ProV. Also at $125 it s overpriced.

Been a member here going on 2 years! Staff is super friendly and professional and the course is challenging every time you play it based on what tee box you choose. The raised greens will play different every time and you will utilize your full bag on any given day. If you don t like a challenging course choose a different place to play. I ve met some of the finest people and have a new network of friends who enjoy the game of golf. Highly recommended and it s price right especially for senior rates.

Great golf course carved into an excellent piece of land. Challenging greens are the icing on the top of the track which requires you to be accurate most of the time off the tee box. Don t pass it up if you are near his course.

Great food and it always hits hard after a day of golf, I would recommend the brisket tacos with chips/queso. Great facilities and wonderful staff. Kyle was a pleasure to talk to and he gave me some great tips on my swing. Look forward to my next Sky Creek experience.

Course put coupons on Ideal Golfer for purchase, Restrictions were-Saturday not valid, Sunday after 12pm, when trying to book tee time, there were no times till after 3pm, even when calling at 7 am on Sunday morning, therefore you can not get 18 holes in, club told me to use the Chronogolf App So when trying to book a tee time on Sunday for the next Sunday, times are not available Why would a course put coupons out for the public and not have times available? And then tell me to use Chronogolf to book (he said go on at midnight Sunday morning) and Sunday times are unavailable??

Great golf course and banquet room for private parties. Extremely well kept greens and course layout offers enough of a challenge. Driving range. Book ahead it s populate and semi-membership which means members book in advance. The clubhouse was renovated and looks great for weddings and just any banquet. They are really good at managing golf tournaments too.

Best place to get lessons. My daughters instructor is Simon Hall, and he is the best. The course is always clean and trimmed appropriately and the driving range is close enough that if the carts are gone, you can walk down to the range. Overall, a nice course from the outside.

The main folks weve collaborated with at the club are David Ismir and Keaton Dixon, each of whom has been very friendly and helpful in making these events a resounding success. Sky Creek is a really nice facility. They have several levels of membership that are very reasonable. The facilities are well kept and the grill is highly regarded. The golf course is also well kept. The course is quite challenging. The greens are elevated and very unforgiving. If you dont hit the green you will pay for it. There several holes where you will need to lay up from the tee and there are some challenging tee shots. Overall, its a great experience.

Good course, we were asked to leave because of light rain fall after finishing 4 holes so they gave us a rain check. I was pretty happy with that but I went to book a time for this weekend and they said they wouldn t honor the rain check because it had been past 60 days. I get that but since we went in November there has only been a handful of days warm enough to play. Seems like they should of given us more time to use the rain check in the middle of winter. The holes I did play were a lot of fun and the course seemed like it was in really good condition. Update Johnathan was able to reach out to me and extend the rain pass. I m excited to get to finish a full 18 next time I go.

If I could give Sky Creek, Keaton, and team 100 stars, I would! A lot of not so great things happened in 2020, but working with Keaton and having my wedding reception at Sky Creek was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time! Stop what you are doing and BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE! Not only was the venue completely understanding and flexible right up until the minute I said I DO, but Keaton literally went and picked up my wedding cake and put the flowers my florist forgot to put on my cake, on my cake. I had the wedding of my dreams, and in the process, gained a life long friend in Keaton. I am so thankful I had my wedding at Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club.
