This place makes the best cocktails ever!! Wish I lived in Katy tho. Food was great also. We came perfectly during happy hour so that was a plus. The bartenders really know how to make great drinks! Will definitely come back

Mimi is hands down one of the best bartenders I ve ever come across, and her skills truly shine at Giau s Katy! I ve been following her from place to place because she always delivers exceptional service, and Giau s is no exception. Mimi s attention to detail, creativity with cocktails, and warm personality make every visit memorable. Whether it s a classic drink or one of her custom creations, she always knows how to mix the perfect cocktail. What makes the experience at Giau s even better is the amazing music played by Edmond, which sets the perfect vibe for the night. The entire staff is energetic and welcoming, adding to the lively atmosphere. Not only do they have incredible cocktails, but the food is also top-notch every dish I ve tried has been delicious. Food and drinks were great (no complaints). Service for drinks was a little slow. The atmosphere was great...until the DJ got there. The music was wayyyy too loud. Hard to have a conversation, the waitresses couldnt hear anything we were saying. I can understand if this was a nightclub and dancing was expected, but for a bar style restaurant they need to reconsider how loud the music is playing. The actual music being played was great, it was just too loud to enjoy a night out with friends. I couldnt even hear my thoughts Lol.

Fantastic wings and cocktails. The beer selection is a bit pedestrian (some craft options would be nice) but all good and reasonably priced. The cocktails are bit pricey but the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is a bit unusual, think pool hall without the pool tables (apparently those are upstairs). The bar area though is super nice with a great selection of spirits including high end tequila. All that said, I definitely recommend checking them out.

This place is such a vibe! I ve been here a few times with my friends and service has always been A1. I love coming here for the beef and macaroni, literally my favorite place to get this dish. They offer a lot of options for both food and drinks. The service is pretty spot on. The vibe is mostly casual and fun, so if you want a constant club vibe then maybe their bellaire location is a better option for you. I really can t think of any negative experiences here. Definitely a good place to check out in you re in the Katy are!

Came down here from San Antonio on a Thursday night, my honest opinion this place has so much potential. Food was above average but that raw shrimp Thai chili might be a little too much . Atmosphere was pretty decent but it wasn t a wow factor, everyone who worked in the front of the house dressed too casual. If ur not gonna wear makeup dress presentable at least! Perhaps dress lady like ? just not a t-shirt like ur at home, Or maybe I m too harsh. I m sure this is a team thing but when one person fails people will assume service sucks . Asian lady with glasses took my first bottle of beer off the table without asking if I wanted another beer, then proceeds to stand there on ur phone not surveying around for guest needs. And if ur gonna drop off a check don t drop it off and turn around and then say thank you see you again. Show some kind of service etiquette. These little things make a Huge Difference.

If you want to wait an 1hr 30mins for food and drinks come here. I m pretty disappointed. My order was mango juice. My table got their drinks and 40 mins after the waitress comes back and says they don t have mango juice because it wasn t available tonight (which they should have told me sooner). We then ordered strawberry juice, and 20 mins after the waitress brings back orange juice. At this point I m pretty upset. Not only did they get the order wrong, but I m waiting over an hour just to get one drink. Fluffy pancake took some time, but at least they got one thing right. Overall I m disappointed by the slow service and the attitude of the waitress.

Last night at Giau in Katy Asiatown was a straight-up good time. No fancy words needed, just honest-to-goodness delicious food and friendly vibes. The Thai Hot Pot hit the spot. Rich broth, perfectly cooked veggies, and enough seafood to satisfy our late night appetite. The Crispy Intestine was a revelation crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. It was the kind of dish you eat with a satisfied smile thinking, Wow, thats actually good. (Specially with the house vinegar..trust me). And then there was the Balut - that extra special Filipino delicacy ! Unexpected, yes, but surprisingly perfect. You know how sometimes youre hesitant about trying something that you are not really sure if it is as good as back home, but then it blows your mind? That was GiAus Balut - a real appreciation of its unique texture and taste. The service at Giau was just as good as the food. Friendly, attentive, and never pushy. They answered all our questions about the menu, even the ones about the more adventurous dishes. It was the kind of service that makes you feel welcome and comfortable, like youre hanging out with friends rather than just eating at a restaurant. So, yeah, Giau in Katy Asiatown? Definitely recommend. Good food, good vibes, and good service. What more could you ask for?

This place does not value black customers or their money. On November 3rd, 2023, my wife and I, along with another couple visited this bar, as all four of us had frequented this bar over the course of the previous 3 or 4 months. A fight broke out two tables behind us, as two Hispanic females were fighting. NO ONE DID ANYTHING! This went on for a few minutes as the bartenders only yelled, Hey! Stop! from behind the bar, as none of them attempted to de-escalate or address the situation. 3 of 4 of us in my party are U.S. military veterans, so the other male in my group stepped over and broke up the fight. Once the situation was de-escalated, one of the females fighting left after threatening to come back. The other stayed, along with her party, and continued their night. The female server (whom I also assume was the manager on duty) came over to our table to ask if we knew the party fighting, along with one of the bartenders that had closed our tab and printed our check. We responded No, and the bartender was waived off. Noticing what was transpiring, we questioned the female waiter if she was planning to kick us out, and she responded, if you knew them, yes. The irony of this all is that one of the people that was actually fighting was sitting peacefully at her table with her party, continuing her night. Based on her response, and being that we were the only black people in the bar, we let her know how offensive it was that she assumed we knew the assailants.. (instead of actually addressing the assailant and her friends still sitting at the table next to us). She said that it was not a race thing, and that their policy is to put out anyone who stands up when a fight breaks out (though the entire table of the actual assailants stood up and were still peacefully sitting). Logically, who in their right mind would remain seated (especially with their back turned) to a group of people fighting 5 feet away?!?! After about 5 mins of back and forth, there was no apology made! There was no attempt to repair the situation, or the piss poor customer service! We were only told that, She wasnt a racist, and that she was sorry to lose our business, but oh well! Again, at no point was she empathetic or remorseful, nor did she attempt to check her unconscious biases. My brothers and sisters, please take your money elsewhere because you certainly arent a priority at this establishment.

Nice little bar, nice music, nice ambience, nice screens. Food leaves a lot to be desired and bartenders are not attentive, even on a dead night you ll sit waiting for a drink. They are quick to give you a glass of water (that you didn t ask for) when you come in and sit at the bar, and disappear after giving you the water...... it s a bar, I don t think people sit at a bar to drink water. Review edited: Downgrading from 3 to a 1 . My second time here, came in, sat, no one acknowledged me, it wasn t busy (seems to be the norm here), bar tenders talking to each other and taking shots with customers, so shocked I took a pic of the bartender who was eating from a customer s plate and ignoring customers, well, they could be friends but who cares, cater to your customers before you feed yourself from a customer s plate and take shots with them, so yes owner (who promised to do better and is still falling short) who responded to my previous review; that s her in the pic: bogus bartender. What a ridiculous place. Then got served by a guy and as a soon as I was served a drink (13 minutes sitting ignored by bartenders in my face and bartenders chit chatting with each other and doing nothing) I was met with, can I get a card like I ll drink and run! Who s said I m paying by card? What happened to do you want to open a tab? PATHETIC PLACE!!! I thought the first time was a one off, so I came back, but clearly this place is mediocre and I ll never come back!

The atmosphere when DJ bless is there is extraordinary. Great music and the vibe is one of a kind. Pretty good drinks (depending on whos working the bar) and the potency never lacks. Kitchen is open fairly late and doesnt drop in quality. Only downside is if you have a table you cant split the check . Regardless I highly recommend pulling up one night to enjoy yourself

If you like craft cocktails....go here. First time here, coming from another place that I ate at....so did not try food here. I had the Mojito and whiskey sour. Both were excellent. In fact the mojito was probably one of the best ones I have ever had. Benjamin, who was behind the bar, took a lot of care in preparing any drink he made. I could tell he took extreme pride in how he made his drinks. Drinks were excellent and cost about the same price as the place I had just eaten at (and were not even close to being as good). We happened to stumble into this place. We were looking for a place to end the night that was close to where we were before and found this place! Looked at some of the pictures and took the chance and we are so happy we did. Outside it doesnt look like much but when you go inside super cool! The drink menu is great and extensive! We tried several and they were all so good! The bubbly pineapple is not only visually impressive, but it taste sooooo goooddd and fresh. It has passionfruit and the passion fruit seeds something that is not too common in drinks here in Texas. We will be back for sure to try more cocktails and food. My only complaint is that the music was club loud lol not bar loud and I had to scream to be able to talk to the person next to me and when ordering drinks I had to really scream lol.

Some high highs and some low lows. Our server was kind, but he had a really hard time being attentive to our table. There was another table with legit 20+ people, so we had to exercise our patience as he was spread thin. After waiting for over an hour to get our food, it arrived, and it was all delicious. Drinks were good too. The beef skewers were the highlight food wise. Just kinda a narrow beer selection and a few things in disrepair. Both of these could be fixed and make for a great experience. I d give it another try.

Servers were friendly and attentive but we also sat at the bar. Bartender suggested a few drinks and we loved each one. The Bubbly Pineapple was an eye catcher with the presentation. Almost tasted like passion fruit juice not strong at all. The Espresso Martini was strong and bold with cute presentation as well, always a favorite of mine.y husband said the Old Fashion was good like all others. I came there last Saturday night at 10pm. The ambiance and the music were nice, the food and drink were good too. But it took too too long for the drinks and food to come. Waited about an hour for our tables food. In fairness it was busy but not a huge fan of being told let me go check then no follow up. Like literally just forgets about the table. My wife ordered a drink and she had to ask 3 different people for it. I could see the bar and half the time they were just standing around. The worst part of the experience was being told it will be ready in 5 minutes...it is next they are preparing it right now but then another 15 minutes goes by. I was also told It is because you ordered Korean bbq and that takes 15 minutes (when we had already waited 30+ minutes). All in all we waited over an hour before leaving and eventually just asked to make it to go.

If you re here for drunken food. I would definitely recommend. Very light but tasty foods. Quail balut 5/5 Cute and petite. Love eating the reg balut but sometimes you just want something smaller. Oysters with masago 5/5 Pricey but my cravings got the best of me. If you add some soy sauce and sriracha, mmmm that thing can be addicting! Bo tai chanh (rare beef) 2/5 Liked the plating. I highly recommend checking this spot out! I decided to do an early dinner and drinks by myself and I don t regret it at all. The staff was friendly, attentive, and gave amazing recommendations for food and drinks. I ordered their most popular drink, the Bubbly summer, a pineapple vodka drink that s very IG worthy. It was good, cute and most importantly strong. However, the Kiwi breeze was by far one of the best drinks I ever had! It tasted just like a kiwi, seeds and all so refreshing!!! For food I ordered the bbq beef spring rolls just because. I am not a huge fan of spring rolls and this was just ok to me. The Fish sauce wings were amazing! They were the perfect balance of savory and sweet and were crispy and hot. I really enjoyed them. I finished my meal with the Mexican Lucas shooter and I wasn t too crazy about it, but it was good. I d definitely come back to grab drinks and apps, the music was great.

Highly recommended!!! This place makes their cocktails like a work of art. Every cocktail was specially crafted and James adds his signature at the end of most cocktails by heating the lemon, wringing it and rubbing it on the rim of the glass. Cocktails were simply delicious and the food was delicious. Even though they have a really good bar to hang out, this place is also great for family as the food here is really good and portion is generous too. Service was amazing. All the staff were very friendly here. My only problem with this place is why didn t we discover this place sooner!!

This is my new favorite spot!!! Great place to hang out with friends, have an amazing drink, and enjoy great food. The staff is amazing, and the guest obviously came to have a good time. The bartenders have been my very favorite from all the bars that I have tried in the last 3 years, Shout out to James for being amazing . They have events that are definitely worth attending, so i strongly suggest following. An example would be anime night, with custom decor and signature drinks to match. I tried several docent items on the food and drink menu and was never disappointed. I will be back to try the oxtail hotpot!!

The drinks we ordered were good. The food, however, wasn t as good as I expected. I ordered the bbq spring rolls and the fish sauce that came with it was very sour. The avocado bomb was good but the add-on wonton chips seemed to be refried. The music/sound (it was a football night) was very loud in a bad way. Maybe their sound system needs some adjustments or maybe it s just their style. It wasn t a bad first impression but I m not sure if I would be back.

Wife and I went dinner we order 5 dishes vietnamese pancake, eggs taro cakes, beef skewers, macaroni beef stir fried, and a salmon steak it so sad because this was our second time comming back here because the food was so good last time but this time unfortunately our salmon steak was way overcook and had been sitting out and it was hard as a brick we told the waiter to toss it (hoping they would remake it or at least comp it) but they did nothing I have to ask the owner to just give us 50% off the dish so we wont come back to this place so sad because the rest of the dishes was on point

Nice hide out location behind Andretti Race Track. Great drinks, specifically confetti martel. Visited Thursday at 6:30pm . About 7pm it got crowd. Menu was good selection of Asian specialties. Ultimate fries were good

Amazing service. The drinks are strong and delicious, so good I couldnt take a picture before they were gone. Ordered some gyoza and ultimate fries as an appetizer. The watermelon soju and a cucumber Diablo And . Our lamb hot pot just arrive. Omg delish

I must say tonight was by far one of the most amazing experiences i have had in the katy area... Every where closes at 9p and 11p but this spot rock til 2am and the kitchen is open with rockin food til 1:20a this spot is the place to be if you live in Katy/ Richmond/ Sugarland/ Brookshire or anywhere going i10w or of the beltway and 99.... I will be back I give this experience 5thumbs up in my Siskel and Ebert voice

Tripped over this place after a nearby business had over a hour wait and was happy I came! The drinks were on point! Hate that I didnt get to try any of the food but I really appreciated the atmosphere. Its not a huge place so I could see how it would fill up quickly on a busy night. If you dont want to drive all the way into the city to get a good drink or have to wait forever at another place I would say put this place on your list of backups for sure.

Hidden gem! Me and my husband had dinner there yesterday and it was amazing! We had: the rose tuna, ultimate fries, gyoza, shaken beef and a fresh kiwi juice. Everything was DELICIOUS. Definitely our new hot spot. Also great for social distancing.
