Love this place, as a Nepali in texas this has been a gem, and were frequent here. Only recommendation is for the sticky floors and a odd odor of cleaning liquid at this place. Drink selection could also use an upgrade. Nevertheless, its a true 5 star find.

Im also nepali and i know how food should taste, genuinely speaking dont eat momo from this restaurant, they are not healthy it might taste good but its not good for your health. It will cause you gastric and even when you burp you can smell the nasty smell of the momo. There is something wrong with the food management department i think they have been using meat that are not fresh which is causing all these problems so genuine suggestion. Highly avoid this restaurant.

I have been in the US. For years, but i have never eaten anything close to the nepalese style. chowmien here is USA. BHATIKO chowmien is goto for me there, brings back nepal for me. Atmosphere with all the art from nepal is very nostalgic. All the other foods are great as well. I recommend this for the nepalese food lover.

I have been a regular customer at Cafemandu because of the consistency in the food, and they have always been great. Just wanted to address that I ordered a few foods like veg momo, potato sticks, tofu sticks, and veg fried rice; the momo was superb, the potato sticks were good, and the tofu was, as always, over-seasoned and oily, but the veg fried rice I didn\t even try as it had meat in it.Being a vegeterian its a big upset for me. There were only 2 piece of them and I confirmed it with my friend that it indeed is meat.I dont know what else to say.Im just dissapointed on the neglegence for vegeterian food,thats it.

I have been going to this place for years! and their momo is probably my favorite!!! Their chicken kothey momo is awesome!! Always a good time dinning at cafemandu. The service is immaculate and the food is really amazing as well. I am a vegetarian and the options are pretty good. I love their chilly Momo and tofu veg fried rice; it is really something I would recommend over anything on the menu. Chowmein is also really good. They are always ready to customize your spice level and add anything if you ask them too. Not to forget their lassis are great as well. Personally I love Mango lassi very much it has such a unique taste. Overall love the food and vibe of the place as well.

I have been ordering from here for more than 3-4 years and the food taste has just been going down. Their sausage used to be something that I loved and no other restaurant could make it taste same, but in my recent two orders it is not fried well and the taste of spice is very dull nothing like what it used to be. Nothing tastes same .. jyanmara momo is just for the name, not spicy at all. The name says jyanmara, and they are making it non spicy. Being a Nepali customer, with that name I would expect it to be very spicy. It used to be so good. If they are focused on including all customer who may not be able to tolerate the spice level, then they should at least start asking spice level and make according to that. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

Food was alright! it is not what it used to be a couple of years ago, but still the quality was alright. But i have a thing to say. It was almost like a month ago when this happened to us. THERE was a younger lady at the counter and she acted like she was TOO GOOD TO BE THERE. She had an attitude as if we had shown up to a food pantry. listen, if you dont LIKE being there, call off and let somebody else pick up your shift. Hell, you can even quit and have somebody else work in that position. I am sure there are a lot of people who are willing to work around DFW right now. And if you truly feel like youre superior to somebody else, you need to fix that attitude of yours and find something better to do with your life. I exactly dont remember her name but she was kinda tall and fair skin. It was during a weekday and in the evening time. If anyone in the management reads these reviews, please do something to fix this horrible customer service. Parking: enough.

Finally some spice!! I am so often disappointed by the heat levels when ordering the spiciest options at various restaurants, but the Jyanmara Momo was genuinely the spiciest thing Ive eaten in a while! I also got an order of the Sichuan Garlic Tofu skewers, and they were absolutely delicious. Love that there are so many vegan options here and will absolutely be visiting again the next time I find myself in Dallas.

I placed my order over the phone and the girl working was superb. She was so kind and friendly! I ordered the chili chicken momos and oh my god are they delicious! I made my boyfriend try them and we both absolutely loved them! We destroyed that food. They are sweet, tangy, a little spicy CHEFS KISS! When I got to the restaurant the girl was ready with my order and she was so welcoming in person too! The restaurant was very nice and it looked like all of the customers were enjoying themselves. My ONLY complaint would be it is a bit heavy on the oil this isn t a deal breaker at all this is for the people who have little oil in their diet like myself. This food doesn t leave you with a heavy stuffed feeling. I ate pretty late and woke up feeling ready to workout. As far as the price point street food is under $10 momo is between $10-$11 and the entree are between $10-$12. The portion size is respectable. Ive eaten here for a few months now and their food is usually good but the quality seems to be going downhill. Have a look at the amount of oil theyre adding to their noodles now. I ordered chicken chow mein which came with a green sauce on the side. The noodles were delicious and full of flavor and the sauce gave it a little kick. I also ordered the chicken soup dumplings. The soup was put on the side since I ordered togo. It tasted like tomatoes but was pretty good on the dumplings. It was a little pricey for 1 person but portion was big enough for 2 meals.

Solid Nepal food! Having been to Nepal, these rate authentic and oh so yummy. Got the fried Momos/dumplings. A little bit of a wait but they came out hot and big portion. Highly recommended for a late night snack!

Updated review: I couldn t believe how much the quality and taste has degraded here. The potato stick was uncooked. I could not even start with Chau chau sadheko, what was that? The jhol momo had the worst jhol. Only thing palatable was the C momo but . I m still keeping my old review here cause this restaurant used to be good and I used to come here all the time. Old review: Their C momos are amazing and try their juju dhau. The price is also reasonable and the food is always consistent which is a very good thing.

This is a great spot for dumplings! I cant speak to them being authentic or loyal to Nepal food, but I can say that they taste wonderful regardless. They fried ones taste like samosas. The spicy ones arent actually too spicy so dont let them worry you. The chow mein is a generous huge serving. Youll also find a great selection of beer in their refrigerators. Prices are all just under $10 for a plate as of December 2023. Vegetarian options: Youll get many options

TLDR: Amazing food for a great price, but can take a while to come out. Was hungry late at night after going to six flags so we decided to give this place a try. Absolutely banger food. I highly recommend getting the Chili C-momo (honestly cant stop thinking about it months later), the Seared Kothey, and the Khumbu Thukpa. The food was cooked to perfection, very well seasoned, and really fills your soul. This unassuming restaurant has become one of my favorites in the DFW area. Great food for a great price. However, my only gripe is that sometimes the food can take a long time to come out, especially if its busy or theres a lot of take out orders. Maybe theres not enough cooks in the kitchen to keep up with peak hours.

I had a to-go order. Got chicken chowmein and chicken fried rice. Both were terrible. The chicken was so hard to chew my teeth are aching because of it. The rice in the fried rice was also bit hard to chew. Had to wait a long time for the order too even though it wasnt much crowded. I hoped the food would be good given the reviews, but utterly disappointed.

I went to Cafemandu with 5 friends and we had such a good time. The dumplings are amazing (and we had all flavors and in every preparation). We got fried rice, goat skewers, potato skewers, pork skewers, a curry, and sausage sticks. Everything was great and so reasonably priced. We didnt love the donut we had for dessert but that was a mater of preference not because it wasnt done well. You should for sure try this place!
