Tried this food for the first time it was alright. The service wasn t that good and didn t really understand English well or the menu. We decide to take it home and have it there instead. The place decor was really nice and vibrant. The food was kinda dry and didn t have much flavor it was just ok.

Disappointed Quality Has Plummeted I had previously rated Rumali a solid 5 stars, but after my recent experience, Im compelled to downgrade it to just 1 star. On 08/24/2024 this was a DoorDash delivery order. I ordered the Mutton Galouti Kebab, a dish Ive enjoyed here before. However, this time, not only was it devoid of any flavor, but the meat was also undercooked a fundamental mistake that should never happen in any restaurant, let alone one charging $16.99 for a dish. Rumali, youre in the business of providing a service, not a charity. Customers pay to enjoy your food, and it is your responsibility to ensure that what you serve is not only edible but also meets a certain standard of quality. Serving undercooked meat is unacceptable, and its something I cant overlook. I am deeply disappointed by this experience, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously. Quality and consistency are key in the restaurant industry, and sadly, both were missing in my recent experience. Although the Badshah Chicken was delicious the meat in this was cooked. Thank you for making one dish right This is my previous review a few months ago Enjoyed dinning here. The place has been renovated and ambience is more like fine dining now. Excellent service, quality of food and value for money! Recommended this place The Butter Chicken and Rumali Roti is a must try!

Went for dinner few days back with family . Later realised it was almost closing time, yet we were seated and gracefully served. I think we were the last ones at the restaurant. Tried the rumali chicken wraps. They were huge almost the size of burritos. Tasty and flavourful. Chicken tikka was slightly spicy for my kid but thats ok. Mango lassi was smooth and refreshing. Definitely recommended.

Food was good. Atmosphere was good. The problem here was that I feel like they did not honor what they advertised. My friend won a 15 dollar coupon for their restaurant and what do they do? Not honor it because they say that it was only for that month. I mean, she showed me the certificate and nowhere it says that is valid for just that time. We paid and all, we were just disappointed on restaurants that do this type of moves to get more clients. They should just be straight with us. I definitely will not come back, which is ashamed since the food was good.

Salty Salty Salty - even the rice was salty. The meat platter looked as if they got it out from the fridge and warmed it in a microwave. Kebabs are supposed to be sizzling. The Lamb rogan Josh was so salty, I could not eat it. One of the worst experiences of Indian food. Never coming here again.

Lacto-Vegetarians looking to get some authentic Kaati Rolls, this place so far has topped the list. I have been looking for a good paratha based paneer roll and the Achari Paneer tikka is a great choice. This review is only for the roll. I wish there were more options like Khan Saheb Bengaluru in their menu especially grilled baby corn which is such a hard find here. Feedback to the management here would be to specifically share separating out Veg and Non-veg grills followed by introducing more vegetarian and vegan roll options. Also wheat paratha option would be an awesome addition. Looking forward to visiting again and trying the north India vegetarian options. Vegetarian options: Authentic Kaati Rolls are hard to find in dallas Fort Worth area. This place has very good vegetarian authentic Kaati rolls. Parking: It s a free parking lot. Since there are many other restaurants it s gets busy sometimes. There is no street parking around.

I visited this restaurant based on its 4-star reviews, but my experience didnt quite match the high expectations. I ordered the Rumali Roti and Shaheen Shahi Paneer. Unfortunately, the Roti was thick and hard, contrary to the thin, soft texture its supposed to have. The Shahi Paneer had a consistency that was too thin, and the paneer pieces themselves were tough. The service was good, but it wasnt enough to make up for the disappointing food.

This is an incredible little surprise right next to its sister facility India 101. We just wanted a little calmer atmosphere one night and God we were so thankful!! The Murgh Makhani (basically butter chicken) we ordered was hands down the best butter chicken we have ever had in USA. Cooked to perfection, the dish was delicious and memorable! We went there for Rumali rotis...but ended up admiring the chicken. Also ordered mutton wraps, which were ok. Very friendly staff. Dietary restrictions: All meat here is Halal Parking: Plenty of parking everywhere. Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff doesnt mind kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Seemed fairly accessible.

I had to change my review. I took my parents visiting US to the restaurant. We reached the restaurant around 9:20. We ordered the food on the way to ensure that the food is ready. The staff was real pushy for us to get out. Food came in installments until 9:55. The service was real poor. We had to repeat 2-3 times for the stuff. They were more busy in cleaning and preparing for next day. However, they ensured to take the full 20% gratuity since we were six people. Gratuity was no problem if we would have got the good service. Too bad experience. I am sorry I took my parents.

The daal makhni was rich and bursting with spices, while the shami kabab transported me back to the streets of India with its freshness. Paired perfectly with soft rumali roti, it was a delight. Hi, Yesterday I visited so called restaurant Rumali in Iriving. Best service, the staff was tentative and super nice, she explained me what I was getting and also gave suggestions based on what I like & one of the staff told that she is a new joiner but also she tried & explained me in detail that was so nice of her. I appreciate the management for encouraging the new ones. Finally, coming to food I liked murg sula, amritsari mahi tikka, murg kakori kebab & signature goat curry . Rumali roti s are super soft and they prepare live in, so no worries and my favorite dessert malai ghewar and the mango lassi.. ended my dinner this way with my family. I recommend this place to my friends also. Ambience was awesome

Anyways the ambience was just awesome but it was very dirty even the seats were of some food specks i came with my sister to let her taste the dahi ka kebab and later my husband wanted to taste chicken but as i used to like the goat curry I have ordered it for him it was waste of money and I have ordered last week really felt weird with the attitude of the person very arrogant and was talking with someone while ordering anyways I was pissed and frustrated as I have received the order late it was waste of money realizing now while checking bill

Title: A Taste of Lucknow in Dallas: Rumali Restaurant Review Took my folks to Rumali Restaurant for lunch, and man, it was a flavor explosion! We dug into Galawati Kebabs with Paratha and Rumali Roti pure Lucknowi bliss! The Rogan Josh was top-notch, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Murg Makhni was creamy goodness, and dont get me started on the Jalebi with Rabri sweet heaven! The staff was super friendly, and the vibe was spot on. If youre in Dallas and craving authentic Awadhi flavors, Rumali is the spot to hit. Cant recommend it enough!

Good place to have rumali roti which is the closest you can get here in DFW area when comparing with India. I liked their items are truly Lucknow centric and not infused with other regional flavors. One thing to improve is about the portion size , way less you get when comparing with the price. Rumali, Galouti and Kakori kebab and Malai Ghewar are the items you need to try for sure.

We did not like the food there at all. We went for appetizers paneer tikka, it was not grilled at all, the paneer was raw from inside. We tried dahi ke kabab, it was okish, we have had way better than this. Only daal maharani was good, shehan shah paneer was totally not worth, too much usage of tomato sauce was used. Finally rumali roti was not even cooked fully, the edges ware raw and under cooked roti. Very less vegetarian dish choices. We spent 68 dollar for food that was not worth at all. My rating is 1.5 totally disappointed. Vegetarian options: Very less items (curries) available

The food was very salty. Mutton seekh kabab in platter was very salty. The overall items in platter were burned as seen in picture. Fish curry was again very salty. Rumali is not authentic it is more like chapati only. I didnt expect much after that but badshah chicken and paneer makhni was saviour. Another problem is the place is small but they brought starters and main course together after making us wait for long time. Overall service is bad. After that in bill they added something 20% for Im not sure what reason with comment large party. We were only 8 people. We had only one server. Which is equal to party of 2.

I was invited to the restaurant as a food blogger, and this is my honest review. We had the mutton kabab rolls, the non-veg platter, the goat shank curry, rumali roti, malai ghewar, Phirni, white chocolate kulfi, and the rose sherbet drinks. First off, this restaurant focuses on Lucknowi cuisine which has a less spice profile. But it still has a lot of tasty flavor. The mutton kabab rolls were tasty, with soft kababs holding a kick of spice to it, but it also comes with a side of mint chutney for those who can t handle it. The Non-veg platter came with grilled items: chicken haryali kabab, chicken Tangri (drumsticks), amristari fish pieces, and mutton kabab. Both chicken pieces are less spicy, and have a mild flavor to them. It s good for those who are looking for less spicy. The fish and mutton pieces were more spicy. While the chicken haryali pieces were good, the tangri was a little too bland. Goat shank curry was the star of the show. It had spice without having overpowering heat. The curry itself was good, but the meat was also very tender. Rumali roti was alright. It s not the rumali roti you usually get in India, but it s okay. For the desserts, if you re looking for a milky/more liquid desserts, I d suggest the phirni. It s similar to a kheer-like texture. The malai gewar is good, but very hard to break with a spoon. Kulfi is good. It tastes like malai kulfi. Rose sherbet is okay, it has a slight tang taste to it. The ambiance of this restaurant is more towards fine dining, and everything is made fresh daily, so the prices reflect that. Kid-friendliness: They offer baby chairs

These two kebabs are super hard to make, very few restaurants offer this and was fantastic.

Wanted to go to paratha 101, but entered the wrong door and landed in Rumali. Cannot say what more worst experience we could have had, immediately felt indigestion and my kid had a stomach pain. Wonder how stale the curry must have been. Rumali rotis are supposed to be really thin and soft, but this one was thick. Couldnt even go back to check with them on what was the deal on freshness, as they close at 3pm. Horrible place, do not visit it for the sake of health. Btw paneer too was horrible, definitely stale!!

This place has just recently opened. I got it to go for lunch and got their Murg (Chicken) Leshooni Tikka Roll and Lamb Seekh Roll. It was freaking delicious! I also made one of them a meal which comes with Masala fries and a drink. One roll is pretty decently filling. As you can see in the picture.. they just barely fit in the big portion of the box. Tried half of each roll and they were both really flavorful! The marination on the Murg Leshooni roll was great.. the Lamb Seekh roll had a bit of a kick but I really enjoyed it! Looking forward to going back and trying other items as well.

Great tasting food in this cold weather. I ordered rumali roti+daal maharani+paneer curry and sirka pyaz!! Yummy food. Paneer curry was yummy. Also had dal halwa since it was so cold outside, so it was the perfect dessert. Servers Sanjana and Diksha were gracious and answered all my questions. Vegetarian options: Paneer kebabs+ daals etc Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options available. And maybe vegan too? Parking: Lots of parking available.

Best restaurant for Rumali Roti Lovers..Excellent Food !! Truly North Indian Food.Thankful to the owner for bringing true flavors of Kabobs to Dallas..Specially Galouti Kabobs. One can not find anywhere.. Kabobs flavors are dominated by Pakistani restaurants in Dallas area. People who have tasted kabobs back home from Delhi or Lucknow will appreciate this Rumali Restaurant.. Enjoy

I am a vegetarian. I did not expect a whole lot from the food in a kabob house. I was but blown away by the warmth the staff showed us. The chef himself came out and talked to us. After lunch I had a craving for tea. They do not serve tea, but he arranged for me to get my tea without added sugar from a neighbouring restaurant. This was trulyabove and beyond

Taste is really bad. Meat was not even cooked properly. Kabab were a joke. Never seen kabab like that feels like some sought of thin layer and not fresh. We were offered thandai shake and it caused throat irritation. Owner was very nice but food he recommended had no taste. Both me and my wife got sick and fighting with infection. Try on your own risk!!

Beware: I see there are seven 5 star reviews, I m pretty sure they are from the restroom s management. The taste is really really bad, it is the worst food I ate in Dallas in the past 5 years. I can t even mentions a single positive point on the taste of the food, chicken is not cooked properly(pink in color), the curries are like bland soups(no taste and white in color), the fruit platter is a joke. Overall this, the service is very slow. Don t even think to give it a try.

I tried chicken tikka roll and seekh kabab roll. Both were awesome and reminded me of taste that I always had in Delhi. I would suggest not adding carrot inside roll, since it gives sweet flavor.
