I have been one of the loyal and regular visitor to this restaurant but not sure what has changed for last 2-3 visits we had very bad experience with food quality and taste of it, especially today we order Palnadu Chicken Pulav, generally we order this food for it s spicy taste, but what they served is sweet, uncooked chicken pieces. In this whole story the surprising thing is when we complained about it they said this is made by Mexican chef hence it is sweet, you should have told has before having it then we would have replaced , how on the earth one will know the taste of food before eating. Finally when we went to pay the bill they didn t even bother to reduce 10% of the bill. Very unpleasant experience and I already told about my experience with couple of my friends!!! This restaurant food sucks at-least from last 4-5 months, please avoid visiting otherwise you will waste your money!!!

This place used to be good ,recently its very very bad. Also we found a cockroach in panner biriyani. Funny thing , chef told when he was cooking , it was not there but when serving from pan to serving vessel it might have come. We could clearly see the cockroach dead and we found the cockroach within a no time food got served. This is very disappointing and unhealthy .

I usually dont leave bad reviews, but I feel this needs to be shared, especially when new owners take over an old establishment and fail to maintain the same standards. Patrons return expecting the same quality, but unfortunately, that s not the case here. The new owners arent living up to what the old ones offered, and I m extremely disappointed. I ordered the mild special boneless biryani and even double-checked if the chef had changed. The person taking the order outright lied, and now we have a biryani thats dry, extremely spicy, and inedible. I won t be returning to this place. The toilets were filthy, and the back room where they store supplies was left open right next to a dirty mop, cleaning supplies, and food storage. To top it off, the lady managing the front and back areas wasn t even wearing gloves. I d be very cautious about visiting this facility again.

I ve ordered take out of Chicken 65 Pulav for lunch on Sunday. Received stored or previous day s pulav because we can easily taste the freshness of freshly made Pulav. Disappointing Experience at Desi Flavors Im disappointed to report that my recent visit to Desi Flavors, formerly known as Biryanis and More, was a resounding letdown. This once-beloved Indian take-out kitchen has taken a significant downturn under its new management. Subpar Food The culinary experience was marred by underwhelming dishes. The naans, a staple in Indian cuisine, were undercooked and lacked the characteristic fluffiness. The paneer tikka, a dish I eagerly anticipated, was a major disappointment - the paneer was hard and flavorless. The biggest letdown, however, was the chicken curry, which was unpalatably bad. The flavors were off, and the texture was unappetizing. Overpriced and Underwhelming To add insult to injury, the dishes are priced at a premium, making the subpar quality even more egregious. Its clear that the new management has not maintained the high standards that Desi Flavors once had. Verdict Unfortunately, I would not recommend Desi Flavors to anyone until they revamp their menu and cooking techniques. The current state of the restaurant is a disservice to its former reputation. I hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and makes necessary changes to restore the restaurant to its former glory.

Don t waste your time. Long story short: they will give you the leftovers of what they have if it s close enough to your order, instead of making what you actually requested. Three times now we asked for mild spice, and they give hot (we have gotten mild before, and the difference is obvious). We asked for Tikka Masala, we have gotten butter chicken more than once. Not to mention, they aren t friendly at all. You feel as if they are bothered by you being there.

The biryani from this place used to be amazing when it was called biryani and more but after changing to desi flavors, its quality has deteriorated substantially. It is all salt and spices (btw, I ordered mild spice level) and few chunks of paneer in Paneer biryani. Earlier I recommended this place to at least ten of my acquaintances but now I do not recommend it any more. Absolutely NO!!

$230 order and never received food. Then when asked for a refund or credit they refused. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - Horrible customer service. When I went in to the restaurant (if you want to call it that) it appeared outdated, smelled bad, and not a place I would particularly care to dine in at. Suppose you needed to steal my money to pay your employees because by the looks of it you are 6 months from going out of business. Best of luck running a business like this - maybe learn how to treat high paying customers.

First visit: I ordered poori with aloo masala curry, but they brought something entirely different poori with potato stuffing inside dosa. Second visit: I called ahead to check if breakfast buffet was available, but when I arrived, they claimed it wasnt available. To make matters worse, its not a buffet at all. Instead, you have to constantly ask for each food item, and theres a frustrating wait of 20 to 30 minutes every time you request something. Its really disappointing.

You know an Indian restaurant is good when you see Indians lining up to eat. Its more of a take out joint than sit in, but we ate in. You order at the counter. My wife had Butter Chicken and I had Andhra chicken. Dont know what that is but it tasted good. I just asked for something spicy with chicken. The butter chicken was delicious. And the garlic Naan and vegetable samosas. I would come again and try other dishes, except we are from out of time. It is a cafeteria take out joint so be prepared to eat out of plastic containers and paper plates but the food is good. Come and enjoy some Indian food.

*****updated review, gave it a few more months and decided to give them another shot....currently in the bathroom at my office with food poisoning not even 30 minutes after eating it....never again......****** went during my lunch break and ordered paneer Tikka Masala. Waited at the counter for a little bit and was then greeted by a friendly employee, she said it was going to take ten minutes. I sat and waited for my food for about 35 minutes, when there was nobody else in the restaurant. Normally that wouldnt bother me however I was on a time crunch being that I have a 45 minute lunch break and nobody else in the restaurant so it wasnt busy. I was able to get my food to go and when I get back to the office, I had received the wrong item. And without any sort of eating utensil. If you see my other reviews I dont leave negative reviews often, but for the price I was charged, the time I waited, and the fact that I had arrived back to the office with one minute to spare, I would have at least hoped that the food would have been worth it, but it wasnt even the right order. Really bummed by the experience. Especially that I could have been a vegetarian and recived chicken and not paneer. .....Disappointing

Very disappointed. Front desk person suggested that a family pack would serve 4 people and we ordered a family pack chicken biryani. Quantity was very less..it was only 3/4th of the tray and that too rice was very less in portion. Chicken was very very spicy. Overall we didnt like it at all. They said we would get a starter and desert and asked us to choose b/w gulab jamun and rasmalai. Surprisingly it was only 1 small piece of rasmalai not even 2.. lol.. and the chicken starter was sweet in taste. We will never ever go here again.

This used to be my absolute favorite biryani place in DFW, but now (April 2023) they seem to have completely lost understanding of customer service. I came around 7pm and was the only customer in the entire restaurant and the lady told me my one biryani will take HALF AN HOUR because they are busy with some party order. So your only customer in the entire restaurant waits 30 mins for a dish that is near-ready?

Update: Taking off one star due to a service issue. As name suggest, it is one of the best places to get biriyani. A lot of varieties. Family pack that serves 3 and bucket that serves 5 (I found this very economical). Parking could be an issue during busy hours. Bawarchi Biriyani was my previous favorite. I was expecting paneer Tikka pieces (like the appetizer) to be in biryani, instead it was more like rice with paneer Tikka masala. The raitha accompanying the rice was just buttermilk. Received a lamb biryani when I ordered a veggie biryani. Contacted the restaurant about the mixup and they didn t seemed to care that I received the wrong order. As someone who doesn t eat meat, this was a serious issue for me. Will not be eating here again

Ive only had delivery orders from this restaurant. Will I continue to order : Absolutely! The food : Is this a traditional biryani? Maybe not. Its biryani rice topped with a choice of your meat in gravy. So what? As long as the flavor is good there should be no complaints. We tired different kinds of toppings and were pleased with them all. My favorite so far has been the Red Chilli Chicken gravy. Pricing : Moderate and good sized portions.

Watch out for what they do with their point of sale machine. They quickly pull it away from you and tip themselves 20%. I saw them do, but let it go if they need the money. I just wont go there again.

We have been get takeout biryani from here for years and they never disappoint. Theyre staff is always friendly, the food is always good, and the portions are generous. We wish they had more locations so that we could get them at work.

Service was so bad that it took 40mins to serve a biryani when there were no other customers except for us in the restaurant and the taste was disguised after the long wait. The person who took our order was just passing his time but didn t even bother to look after the utensils if they were any in the self service stall for plates and spoons. I have to call him every-time if I needed a spoon or plate or napkins. It was also over priced for how it tastes

The food was SOOOO good!! The Chicken 555 was one of the best Indian dishes i have ever had. The customer service was great as well, the guy at the front was very nice and helpful. The only reason I m putting 3 stars is because the restaurant was not clean at all. All the tables were dirty, so was the bathroom and the floors. It looked like the place had not been cleaned in a while.

Writing this review with big disappointment. This could be our worst lunch in recent times. Hyderabad chicken biriyani - Rice was dry, chicken was definitely bad, thin white Raita and no curry given. Veg biriyani was just spicy and salty rice. No flavor at all. Gobi Manchurian was way too spicy and looks reheated. Our special day was spoiled.
