I havent been here since it was PJS. Its definitely a nice upgrade without feeling like theyve changed. I got their chicken fried chicken, and it was fried perfectly. Flaky, crispy, tender, and juicy but not dry at all. The biscuit and gravy is exactly what I expected. They were fluffy, massive, and not dry. Service was great, I was taken care of and felt very welcomed.

I can honestly say this place is a hidden gem in the heart of Irving, TX. I came here for the first time with a friend, and we were both so impressed. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with a warm and inviting aesthetic that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the French toast combo with bananas, strawberries, and a light Nutella glaze absolutely delicious! The cinnamon flavor really comes through, making each bite a treat. The mango tea was refreshing and perfectly balanced, a great complement to the meal. The portions are generous, and the presentation is amazing. Hands down, this spot has earned a permanent place on my list!

Amazing breakfast!! We had the pancake breakfast, fiesta skillet, mexican omelet and chiliquiales. Every bite was delicious! Huge portions! Fast and friendly service! My coffee cup was never even low! Im sorry we live out of state or we would be here at least a couple of times a week. Trust me, you want to dine here!

I really enjoy the food but when i was there last time,I had had a to go box and I walked off and was only gone for maybe 5 to 10 minutes and when I went back they threw it away. Great verity of breakfast choices. Due to power outages, we had breakfast 3 days in a row and had something different each time. Every meal was delicious and served quickly. The staff were always friendly and very attentive. Someone regularly came around with coffee, which was appreciated. Saturdays are for Saturdaddy Daughter Dates! Growing up, my dad and I would go to Millar Drug Co. every Saturday morning. We have four teens now and time with them is fleeting, so I rotate through a few breakfast spots throughout the year, taking a different daughter to each Irving staple. I love gooday cafe!! But this one isn t the one to go to.. go to the one off I-20 you won t regret it. I regret not going today!! Got here ordered the ultimate fajitas and my server told me their ultimate fajitas doesn t come with rice and beans so it cost extra WOW! Has it become that hard up where you don t get rice and beans with fajitas?? The one on I-20 it s comes with it.. then it comes to my table COLD no sizzle on the skillet and the rice and beans were cold as well.. HUGE bummer

I ordered the two eggs and the smoked sausage with two sides and an orange juice=$16.00.My sides were the biscuit with gravy and potato thinly cut fries. I thought the fries was going to be like your regular fries, but when it came out; it looked like chips but it was really GreasY and SoggY!! (See pic). I wouldnt recommend ordering that. Smoked sausage was ok. I wouldve gotten the special of the day which was catfish and which was not listed on the menu. Their specials of the day are posted at the front entrance which I didnt notice, nor did Kaylee my server, informed me of the special of the day!! Hopefully they can train their service/servers to be better.... like reiterating the special of the day as the intro/greeting in case your customer doesnt notice the sign special of the day upon coming in the entrance(my first time coming here so I didnt know)...smdh. Visiting the Dallas area and we wanted breakfast. Party of 5 and we all enjoyed our meals and portions. I had the chicken fried chicken skillet with biscuits & gravy. I dont know if the food is good. After 45 minutes of waiting my Mom and I got up and walked out. Let me start at the beginning: After being seated we waited 15 minutes for some one to take our drink order. That was the same person who sat us. we waited another 10 minutes (25 minutes total) for our order to be taken. 20 minutes later (45 total) my Mom said she was ready to leave, so was I. Maybe this is just a little to laid back and they need to pick it us just a bet. The reason we left was three fold: 1) 4 men who had been seated before us had just gotten their meal at our 45 minute mark. 2) In the 45 minutes no one came to make sure we were fine and taken care of. 3) I looking to see if this review will make it on the web site, as all the reviews are 5 and 4 stars. We can not be the only ones who have had a bad experience. This mother/daughter senor duo will not be back. Oh how I miss PJs. This would never has happened at PJs.

Good Day Cafe is a basic down-home kind of place. Excellent service today from Kaylee. She was prompt and attentive and made sure I had everything I wanted. They have an excellent breakfast and lunch menu. My food was hot, well seasoned and tasted great. Hurry on over and give them a try! But dont wait until dinner time or youll be out of luck. Cant wait to eat there again. Vegetarian options: Quite a few options are available, but they cater more to traditional palates.

This is my go to breakfast spot in Irving, service is quick , food is delicious, and their are sooo kind. I sit towards the back and I always get lucky and have Kaylee as my waitress she s the sweetest <3 Always attentive and never lets my coffee run dry
