Quiet place with great food. Prices are reasonable. Portions are huge. My family really enjoyed the food. My son (toddler) even enjoyed the salsa. Will definitely be recommending to family. Parking: There are a lot of spaces Kid-friendliness: Multiple options and the portion is big. They are also reasonably priced. There are the kid staples of cheese burger and chicken nuggets to tacos and enchiladas. There will be something for your kids.

This is a wonderful family owned and run restaurant. The owner was so nice and hospitable. The place was very clean. (I did not visit the restroom, though. I ll update after another visit). I am definitely going back. And I plan on ordering tamales on a regular basis for take out. Parking: A lot of parking available. Kid-friendliness: They have a number of option on the kids menu.

Great food and great service. Really nice people. We stopped in on a whim driving back to our side of town and glad we did. Had a beef fajita tostada. Everything was fresh, tostada was homemade and crispy and the beef was probably some of the best beef fajitas Ive everr had. Boyfriend had the monterey delux and said that everything he had was some of the best he has ever had at a mexican restaurant 10 out of 10 recommend. Stop in and give them a try. Help support family owned businesses.

Everything was super fresh down to the cheese. Absolutely delicious and they can accommodate for people with food allergies as well. Everything had the perfect texture. Great experience. Sabino went out of his way to take care of my family and I. The food was terrific. Don t let the road construction nearby deter you from visiting this fantastic restaurant. We loved how he incorporates his family s favorites into the menu. We will visit every time we come through the area. Parking: A bunch of parking. Kid-friendliness: My 9 year old loves spice. Sabino actually went and made her a special spicy salsa that she loved. Was very kind of him to do that.

I met Brother Fernando and Sister Monica at a Restaurant I had been to before but under a different name until recently Sabinos Mexican Cocina formally Hectors off 1960. I had the Ceviche with fish n shrimp, Sister had the Carne Guisada plate and Brother had the Muy Grande Burrito. The food was Delicious and the Beers were Ice Cold especially during happy hour at $3 a bottle. The service was outstanding and the food was Awesome. I highly recommend it.

Customer is not right here!! Quantity of food is good but the taste displeasing. After trying to justify that my daughter did not like her food try to tell me all Mexican restaurant use that cheese for the quesadillas and that is absolutely a lie. Iguana joes, gringos, los cucos are top off the charts compared to this place. Paid close to $100 for nothing. No wonder not that many people in there and it was musty and warm. I hate leaving negative reviews as a business owner myself but taste is a factor also service all important. Will not be back

The parking is a dream. You do not have to squander time searching for a parking spot. Directly in front, the restaurant has its own spacious parking lot . As I was guided to my table, I also took note of the cleanliness of the floors and the tables, all squeaky clean. The personable and courteous owner, himself, escorted my friend and me to our table and provided us with fresh chips, not too salty and our chilled beverages. My delicious, piping hot Fajita with grilled, palatable chicken on a bed of savory onions was served still sizzling in its pan. The rice, beans, and Pico de Gallo were not only attractively displayed, but also appetizing. Even the environs, were tailored to the Mexican cuisine. Stopped by because of traffic on 1960. We came kinda early evening so we were the only people. The service was great! It was a little quiet and awkward but the margaritas made up for it. The food was very good! It wasnt like the usual Mexican food you get at the chains, it was obviously homemade. You could taste the charred poblano in the green sauce. Steak asada and poblano enchiladas were very tasty. Actually finished it all haha

My family and I meant to stop at this little diner for a while now. Well.. we finally did that tonight and were so glad that we did! The place is right on FM-1960 (easy access) and plenty of parking space. Its Tuesday night so the place isnt packed. The place is cozy and they have both bar and patio, for their customers convenience! Ive noticed that lots of their customers and servers referred to each other by their names, at least 4-5 families, so this tells me that these are their regular guests. Food was fresh and tasty, service was GREAT and menu offered lots of different choices. Despite terrible inflation, their prices are decent. My favorite part is that this is a family run local small business and they support their community! They close around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. and are closed on Mondays. Thank you Hectors for a pleasant dining experience! We will be back again!

If I could, I wouldnt give it anything. The truth is, I didnt like it at all. I dont recommend it. They charge you the tip without your consent. They give you the note and it turns out that you pay 15 dollars, but a half-liter Mexican coke, 6 dollars, is extremely expensive. I was recommended to call this place after a Houston restaurant cancelled an order we placed for our school three weeks prior on the night before Cinco de Mayo, which is during Teacher Appreciation Week (shame on you, Tacos a Go Go). Hectors Mexican Restaurant came to the rescue! They were able to work with our price point (we are a public school) and in less than 24 hours had an entire catered meal for our school delivered to us for lunch. Everything was fresh, even the chips were warm! Staff loved the food, and it was better than what we had originally ordered. It was wonderful working with this family and they turned a stressful situation into a pleasant experience. We will definitely order from them in the future for our school- cannot emphasize enough the family oriented experience and the freshness of the food! What a miracle find!

Here I am with the family again at Humbles best kept secret. Hectors Mexican restaurant on 1960 near Old McDonalds farm. The food is amazing, the staff even better. Best of all, its a friday night and theres no wait for a table. Think about that while your waiting for an hour at Buffalos just to be seated. Hectors has a full bar too. I think this gentleman just took over the business had really no real employees. Waiter was really slow, waiter send me a cup of (old cold) hot coffee, and food was poorly made. Not going back.

We went there for lunch a few days ago. First time, ever eating there. Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious...I ordered the beef enchiladas (omg- they were so good)...The ice tea was very good as was the house salsa...My only complaint is the chips tasted stale and where they seated us was too dark. Everyone there was very friendly towards us.

Horrible! Got there at 6pm. Ice tea was old and nasty. Found a dead bug in salt which was definitely a gnat. No biggie til the manager came out and tried to call us liars, after we told the waiter. Manager said ice was made at 11am. That is disgusting old at 6pm. My salad was $14.95 and awful. Fake cheap cheese on it. Beef fajita meat just bland. Never again! First and last visit. RUDE manager!

We just ate at Hector s tonite and it wasn t busy when we went. The food was EXCELLENT! Queso & chicken fajitas, excellent service too! It was just the family working tonite and the dad even came out of the kitchen to make sure everything was to our liking. They were so gracious and thankful for our patronage. This is why it s so important to support small family run businesses! We will definitely be back soon!
