Edit. 7 years ago. 5 stars ate here all the time. Today We eat here and the food is wow gross. Everything else was good. Which is really disappointing... Not sure why it was all one star. Screaming and running kid doesnt help either(NOT ours) was nice and clean. Server was polite, prompt, took our plates away at the end of the meal which is always nice, kept our waters full, and our orders was correct. Salsa appeared to be housemaid, and we also received the complementary caso with a side of pickled jalapenos and onions. The case it was nothing to write home about. I ordered fajitas. The charo beans, meat and onions were good. The rice and pico, and guacamole were standard.My husband ordered a taco salad type bowl. After seing the table next to ours order several. He said the meat was good and seasoned and the chip bowl it came in was fresh fried, and the veggies inside were dry which was good so it did sog up the chip bowl. My step son ordered beef enchiladad to which he said was good.There was a choclolate/swerl/ vanilla ice cream maker next to us so we got some. It was better than some places. Non gritty, good flavor. My husband and I both went to the restroom. I noticed then to be clean but hot. Husband said his was also clean. For our lunch we ordered off the lunch menu on the back. Good portions for the price. 29 dollars to feed the three of us. So I was satisfied with that. The menu was very large with several pages. Our over all experience was a good one. Good staff and good food. We will be back.

Service it s being great but Yadira has always made us feel like we home. We a big family 5+ We miss her. Vegetarian options: They have the veggie fajitas my fav ! You can always ask them to make a meal how you want it ! Kid-friendliness: I think it s tradition now for my kids to celebrate their bdays at jimador. I let my 17yr old had dinner with 7 girls no adult and I told Yadira to take care of it, and she said it was the best she ever had!

Never again, service was good and the restaurant looks decent but the food was ok. The best i had that day was their chunky guacamole and that s about it, i ordered fajitas and it was not worth the price. 4 thin slices of each beef & chicken and the meat tasted bland, chicken a little dry. I always try fajitas at any new restaurant i go to and also their margaritas and this one is not the place to go for both, i didn t even get a buzz from their margarita. I been trying Mexican restaurants in the area since I moved here 3 weeks ago and so far i cannot recommend this restaurant, if you want great fajitas and margaritas i recommend you Hacienda los Arcos instead and for some great breakfast go to El Jalapeño Cafe. I will not be coming back to this place again, service was good but not their food and drinks.

Great place with ample parking, indoor outdoor sitting options, food was flavorful but the main food item on my dish consisted of 4 thin/slim beef strips with an abundance of beans and rice which were also good also, The warm salsa and chips were some of the best I have had,Beer was ice cold with options of draft or bottle/can on some. Option to sit at bar was very limited but general appearance of establishment was very clean and inviting, all the staff we interacted was very friendly and attentive.

They nickel & dime you really bad!! The food is expensive and not great. La villa is down the street and SO MUCH BETTER! They were closed so we ordered from here. We ordered beef fajitas for two. No guac and no pico. We just wanted shredded cheese. Beef fajitas always comes with cheese, guac, and picco at all the Mexican restaurants I ve been too . But not this one. You have to pay $2 extra for a tiny bit of shredded cheese. The beef fajita meat was flavorful but the meat itself was so fatty and gritty. Not great. The beans aren t flavorful at all and have a weird after taste. The queso was good, I ll give them that. That s all I could stomach. Won t be going back. Theyre shooting themselves in the foot for nickel and diming for food that isn t great.

We had a group of 5 last night for my first outing here. I had the Molinas dinner and the star was the shrimp enchilada, with the chicken enchilada coming in second. The ranchero sauce they came with was a good combo. I tasted someones Camerones Especial and it was excellent. They cook the shrimp gently, even in enchiladas, which is great. An order of very meaty fajita enchiladas wasnt bad, but reportedly it was dry. As Im from south Texas, I am picky about the salsa, since it tends to go on everything. Theirs is very good, with good heat. Ill be back! Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian fajitas, with a great variety of veggies (you can also add chicken), Vegetable Enchiladas, and typical Friday Special, a regular veggie option. The extensive menu has a lot of options for many tastes.

We were disappointed the last few times we came to eat here. Our server mumbled something unprofessional about us and he was shocked that we know Spanish. The food has gone down hill in quality. We order our margs on the rocks with the tequila shot in a glass so we know exactly what we re getting. They never bring the shot and it s not in the marg. We end up spending too much time arguing this with the staff.

2 stars for service. We came in on slow day. Other waiters were helping us out while the main waiter was going back and forth. It took us longer to order than normal. For the start we ordered queso for chips - we got one plate with it. It was clear three people are seating at the table - had to ask for more. While eating, in short period of time more than twice waiter asked if everything was ok. I would have said something if food was bad. We were not satisfied with the service. Additionally we still decided to tip the waiter - he was not happy - he barely moved away and started to complain about the tip. Since the customer speak English, it doesn t mean he or she may not understand Spanish. Therefore, if you are not happy with your tip, Lupe on 1960 is hiring for $25 an hour or take the tip and be happy. I did this kind of job before. I was happy with what I got.

We have been going here since they opened and the food and margaritas have been good. We noticed a $2.00 credit card fee on our final receipt yesterday. Nothing is ever mentioned about this. We just noticed it when the final receipt was $2.00 higher than the original ticket. Disappointing that they slip this surcharge in when using a credit card.

The food was ok, not great, just ok. I would be inclined to leave a nicer review if we had been treated better. Perhaps our waiter, Oscar, might have been having an unhappy day? We were treated like we were a bother to him. He never checked to see if we needed anything after our food was served. We had to ask another waiter for an order of tortillas and once we finished our meal, we had to ask a 3rd waiter for a to go container and plastic bag. Friendliness is very important to us and consequently we tip accordingly. We typically and happily tip 50% on our bill because we appreciate people showing up to work these days. We left Oscar 21%. After our visit, my husband and I decided we will not return to this restaurant but we do hope they do well.

This is our favorite of the non-chain Mexican places in the area. Weve been here dozens of times over the years and I cant recall a time weve had poor service. Id recommend the gold margarita if youre inclined to have one. Salsa is served warm, although a few times its been steamy. Our favorite dish is the enchiladas de crema. Its unique, and the menu description doesnt do it justice. Dont sleep on the Camarones Bravos either. They have an ice cream machine as well that the kids always enjoy.

This place is a joke!!!! So my niece and I just want a refreshing cold icy drink on a hot May Day and we plan it out. We decided on El Humidor as our destination. They were having a party on the patio so we took a seat in a booth we didn t want a frozen or a bunch of mix in our Margarita so we ordered a special skinny with a floater. The bartender brings our skinny margaritas in these HUGE glasses and tries to tell us that it s just lime juice, tequila and guava. NOPE!!! That s a whole lot of something else mister. PLUS!!! We ordered a floater. We ask him about this and he claims he stirred it inside. NOW WHY WOULD YOU STIR A CUSTOMERS FLOATER INSIDE THERE DRINK?. So we call the waiter over and bartender. Keep in mind these are over 20.00 drinks. I told the bartender he needed to fix it he refused. So suffice it to say a skinny Margarita with a floater is approximately $50.00 . We won t be back and they are thieves!!!

The worst Tex-Mex restaurant I ve eaten so far in the Lake Houston area. Ordered vegetable fajitas with chicken. They brought out frozen mix veggie (Broccoli, Carrots, & Water Chestnut Blend) you buy at the grocery store in the frozen aisle with a chopped-up dried chicken breast (as chicken fajitas) on a hot plate. The meal did not match the description on the menu. Refried beans tasted like store-bought canned beans. The salsa was similar to the Pace Picante sauce you buy at the store. The chips were the only good item. Won t be back!

Judging by the name, I was thinking it was a Mexican restaurant. After tasting the food, it was clearly tex-mex. The first clue shouldve been the use of cheese sauce, which was flavorful. I added jalapeños to kick it up. I ordered tamales, which has ground beef... weird. Overall the food was good, great portions and friendly staff. Definitivamente loved the warm chips and salsa to kick off the meal
