I was given some advice and instructions on my situation and was told that if that didnt work that she would take my case but after it didnt work then she told me that because there was not enough money in my case for her to take my case and after a month of waiting, after calling her for a status and after her not returning my calls, etc. Then I was dropped when I thought that I had a case and had an attorney. It was all about the money. She could care less about people just the money. She did not care that she told me that she would take my case, then canceled all of that. I would give her 0 stars

(Long post) When I look back at my life , I never thought I d ever experience the situation I had to face these last 2 years . I moved 13 hours away from my city to Houston before the pandemic hit in 2020. Life was great as I thought I found a new home , a fresh start, and wanted to chase my dreams with my upcoming makeup business! The beginning of 2021 I got into a fatal accident that could ve only been God himself that let me walk away with non life threatening injuries . I fought hard for my life, as I was facing a max of 15 out of the 20 years with no offers being made. It cost me everything I had , already struggling from being a single mom, no family , no help, and trying to NOT become a statistic as that was already projected for my life being an aged out foster child, no mom, no dad, no grandparents, all I had was my young son! He needed me more than anything ! I couldn t sleep , I became depressed, but yet I still continued to strive for greatness. I was left to hire an attorney , which I had no education on how to, no education on how the system worked, and knew nothing about Houston, the law, how to find an attorney, and thankfully fell into the lap of these experts ! Ms Beverly along with her son Parker saved my life ! I don t have to be taken away from my baby ! I will recommend to anyone who is needing not only a personal injury lawyer, but a CRIMINAL lawyer who is going to fight til the end ! Them people wanted to take my youth , take a child away from the only person who they depended on, wanted to make me out to be a criminal, to be a monster! I will try to keep this short but whew! I recently moved to Houston late 2020. Despite being very excited the city was still new to me so being cautious and aware of my surroundings was, and is still extremely important. April of 2021 I was unfortunately struck by another vehicle just leaving work around 2:30 am. The scary part was that this driver was intoxicated and driving on the opposite side of the road. My life flashed before my eyes but by the grace of God I made it out okay with minor injuries. This car accident has caused a lot of stress over my life but gracefully we were able to find an amazing attorney who took the time to listen and care. I thank you Ms. Beverly everyday, alongside with her family as well because I know they were very productive in the office when staff was short. I m blessed that Beverly Caruthers was the first few options I chose. The process was long and frustrating at many times but it was all worth the wait. When I called, I asked if she was taking on new case and the answer was yes, by someone who answered. after I explain exactly what it was which was no more than a switching of attorneys on a very viable case, the same lady came back to the phone and said shes not taking on new cases in those exact words. This attorney did not pay my medical bills in a timely manner after my car accident- resulting in collection agencies calling me...to tell me the charge was on my credit report and demanding payment. I used my MBA to work on my own case and she ended up getting more money than I did. She tells me- my situation was not her fault. Seriously?? Even today, July 2016, a year after my auto accident- I received a call stating another doctor had not been paid. The law office stated they mailed a check (today). After I emailed the law office to ask what happened. A year later and 12 days after I signed settlement paperwork. ?????? I feel like this attorney treated me like I was stupid. I feel exploited and like a fool because I went off a recommendation - I had reservations from the ghetto unprofessional looking paperwork in the beginning. If I could give her zero stars I would. Please run like hell.
