I love music and this is the place to be. My colleague Margaret invited me to Scott Gertners birthday party and we had a great time. He and his iare wonderful. Rick Marcel and his band were awesome. I had the parmesan mushrooms and salad, and it was delicious. The staff and atmosphere were lovely. The outdoor seating is relaxing. I hope to go there again soon!

Very nice place for a cut date night. The live music was superb, and the atmosphere is very chill. The rules, dress code, and entrance process are a bit over the top, but after getting inside, the experience is enjoyable. I will be returning.

Hello, my name is Tinita H. My friends and I went to the Rhythm Room Saturday 9/7 for my birthday dinner. Erik DjRedeemed Whitaker suggested this spot for a good time. Ms Sonya helped with my reservations for 12 and was very helpful throughout the process. Our waitress was Mia and she was very sweet, attentive and engaged with our party. We enjoyed the live band from San Antonio who kept us smiling and singing all night. I can t forget the Dj who shouted Happy Birthday Tinita multiple times throughout the night. It made everything so special. The bottle serves was great and someone kiss the cook for us because the food was outstanding. Who made the collard greens? The major question of the night lol . Overall experience was amazing and we shall return. Thanks to the entire staff of the Rhythm Room. Parking: Parking was free, with available parking spaces

The best live entertainment show Ive experienced. The talent was PHENOMENAL. The food was excellent and restaurant quality. The drinks were strong. The vibe was perfect. I was hoarse and sore the next day, but it was well worth it. We will definitely be back as regulars.

I had my birthday celebration here. It was amazing! All of my guests were very happy. The ambience was perfect, the food was great, the service was excellent. Rick Marcel and the entire band put on an excellent show. The DJ before and after the set was on point! Great surprise performance by THE Scott G himself! Big thanks to Sonia, the General Manager and Cindy G, the Owner. They made my day special and memorable! I ll definitely be back and so will many of my guests.

Im in the middle on this location. On Fridays there is karaoke 530 to 830 which is awesome and fun the dj is amazing, very polite and entertaining, now in those hours you can eat drink sing and have some amazing fun and see some awesome amateur talents so with that time you can run up a tab(no problem) it cost to play. Now we arrive all tables are reserved but one, so thats our table that we were asked to sit at for the night but as the karaoke ends we have ran up a hefty tab and still sitting and ordered more beverages and food. So My honey had just received his dinner and all of a sudden we literally got kicked out because we were there for karaoke earlier remember table is not reserved at that time. So I stated no were not getting up until we are finished with our meal and beverages. So she pressed again yall were here for karaoke so yall would have leave pay to stay or leave pay and renter. I said again he will not get up with his dinner. We will when hes done. Literally as we were eating they were changing over our table and reaching over us. To spend $300 eating and drinking we shouldnt have been rudely asked to leave an unreserved table to be reserved by a different group, or pay to stay in place or pay to reenter and reseated at a different table after weve spent hundreds, and it was more like standing room only. Its pay to stay in place or pay and stand somewhere else, and thats doubling paying, pay one tab to start another and stand up at that no thank You, there were no more seats. That tab we had should have been free to stay in place and/or accommodated in another form other than stand up for our money not just kicked out to pay more to be inside at a table we already had. Will Not! support or patronize rudeness or this establishment again. Their policy is we got your money now you we have to go to get somebody elses and we dont care about what youve already spent. No accommodation or care for previous paid customers only their money. But I will say the majority staff is very nice.

The 5 stars is for the entertainment. The food was insanely overpriced. Twenty one dollars for 10 tiny wingettes. I was shocked when those wings came to the table. Once the entertainment hit the stage, I completely forgot about it. Ill be back but I doubt Ill order those wings again.

They kept lying about the cost of entrance, once they were trying to charge $25, then $35 or $30, everyone keeps saying different things. drinks aren t even strong for the cost that they are. food overpriced especially the water which is ridiculous. then they tried to charge us $35 to CUT A CAKE and also charge to give us plates, this is horrible business.

On my first visit was not as I expected. . The waitress came after 20 minutes and waving my hand in the air to get her attention. I asked her di they offer pinacolado, a frozen drink and she said no. So then I asked for a lemon drop alone with 3 other drinks. Waitress said I owe $73.80 I was surprised of the cost of 4 drinks, one round. I asked her about the cost of each drink, she told me that the cost includes tax and gratuity. I also gave her a five dollar tip but was not pleased with the tax and gratuity on each round. And they do off grozen lon drops.so why didnt the waitress off the frozen lemon drop when l was wanting a frozen drink.in the first placem? I am curious to see if this is legal or not. And the drinks are watered down unless you order your drink on the rocks. I believe the waitresses are trained to encourage, persuade, and guide customers to buy the most expensive drinks. My friend was told to order a $15.oo drink because the waitress like the drink and she should try i it. I did not like the atmospher,, it was like a half upscale whole in the wall. Its very, very dark, with shiney green and gold glitter curtin stringers, out dated faded curtains on stage.....it was not cute at all. For the price of drinks and food being out raging price I expected a nice beautiful and Quant atmosphere and deco.a little fanc.. The lighting was horrible. The night I went, the entertainment was so so. The woman was better than the man in a Walmart suite with no SHIRT on....I thought it was a joke and they were on break for 30 minutes or longer and while they were on break, somebody was playing their rap music Playlist. I expected a grown sexy and beautiful establishment. I felt over dressed for this dark and musty smelling place. Not a upscale establishment. Not going again and I do not recommend this establishment especially a date night if you are trying to impress your significant other or friend.

We went to celebrate a friends birthday. Luckily we didnt have to pay for parking because there was a $20/person cover charge, a 2 drink minimum and automatic 18% gratuity. So thats over $60 without even ordering any food. The drinks were ridiculously watered down, but we were forced to pay for 2. The server was great so he got an extra tip even though the drinks were weak. The atmosphere and band were amazing but I know I wont be back.

The Rhythm Room was really nice. We went on a Sunday for the 5pm show. Vocalist and band were great. If you a fan of 90s/2000s R&B this is a great live venue. They even sing so Blues. Definitely reserve a table. Lots of couples but there were some single ladies.

When you want live music for the Grown and Sexy! This is the place! There was a soloist and saxophonist on the night I attended. Had the opportunity to sit in VIP with the owners, and they were very friendly as well. If you want good ambiance and nice vibes. Similar to the old Scott Gertner Sky Bar. I will be back.

My first time here as I was invited here for a birthday dinner. It was Thursday steak night. The steak was delicious, and the drinks were good. Its a small space but they accommodated a group of 20. After 8 pm, though, we had to leave and reenter to pay a cover to watch the band. I never heard of that, but thats understandable since the place offers live entertainment and normally charges. I had a really good time, and so did everyone else. Me and my fiance will be back he loves live music, and he plays the drums.

We were INCREDIBLY disappointed we made a reservation for 7:30 and paid $20pp for cover but when we got there we were told there wouldn t be any live music until 9:15 but that there would be a DJ until the live music started. We stayed until 8:30 and there was only a pandora like mix playing, never a DJ . When we asked for our cover to be refunded since they didn t deliver the entertainment promised, they were incredibly rude and refused. They should make clear (especially when a customer calls asking questions 3 times) that there is no entertainment until after 9. So we paid $120 for over priced fried food, a nearly empty venue with just a few middle aged patrons. They even charge for water there are WAY too many other options in Houston for live entertainment that meet or exceeds expectations.

Went for the Valentine Day event & the food, drink, & entertainment/Spud performance were great but, the service was poor. They only had two waitresses on the floor & one of them seemed to take most orders. We didn t receive any water, the food came out cold after waiting an hour for it, & the waitress was not attentive in coming back to table & still received 18% included gratuity. I m assuming the manager received complaints because she came out to help, she also had no problem with remaking the meal . If the service was up to par it would have been a perfect night though. I have enjoyed my time here every visit. I adore live music...especially Jazz. The musicians are always prompt, phenomenal, and engaging. I have yet to eat here, but others who joined me were quite satisfied with the food. There is a cover to get in (reservation encouraged) and the dreaded auto gratuity with min 2 drink purchase. However I gladly pay it and tip bc the servers are great, you are given a warm greeting upon entry, and I enjoy supporting my people when they provide such an incredible experience ....yeah....so Ill be back again...and again...and again...Note you can bring cash to tip musicians or pay by scanning QR code (for some).

We love the classy entertainers always. We go whenever Ayanna is performing. She makes bd partys so fun. The prices are excessive for the quality and portion sizes. We ordered the catfish and it was old and not edible. The tables are way too small for 2 people. We had 3 people. We were charged $11 for glass of coke ($9+$3 for some fee). Crazy right. $18 gratuities auto added and then we were asked if we wanted to add a tip to the ticket. $20 for reservations just to be seated. $60 for nothing. Could have added a complimentary drink. I waited 15 mins for water, to be told I couldn t have a glass of water, I had to pay for bottled water. Even the finest of restaurants give you water for a $100 meal and drinks. I had fun and got to dance a little by my table. There is no dance floor anymore. We were sitting on top of each other and hitting each other. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. We will not be returning due to the little bitty tables and chairs, the food, and the price gouging.

Never been here before. Saturdays require a $20 entrance fee per person and I highly suggest making a reservation. The tables were pre-assigned and if there are unreserved tables, you can change your table. Evelyn Rubio performed. She did well. She got people on the small dance floor. The place was 95% full by the time the band started. FOOD AND DRINK: Bin 27 Port - 4/5 Its served warm and not chilled. Its a semi-sweet red wine. Lemon Drop Martini - 4/5 Sweet and couldnt taste the alcohol. Popcorn shrimp - 4/5 Served very warm with a spicy dip. The shrimp were little itty bitty ones. Bread pudding - 4/5 Served very warm. Different than what Im used to but it was good. Had 1 small sliced strawberry and some whipped cream. Their prices for wine were pricey. A glass might be the cost of a bottle at the store and their bottle was 4 times the cost. Service was good. The waiter was nice and checked on us multiple times. The wait time for food wasnt long. The crowd was between ages 40s to 60s. A few looked like they were in their 30s. Their dress code is business casual but Im not sure its actually enforced. Majority of folks were dressed up in nightclub and business/smart casual attire. But I did see a few wearing sandals and a t-shirt. Not a big place but they sure crammed as many tables and chairs as they could. There is a mix of small tables, lounge seating, booth seating, and tall cocktail tables. I reserved a spot for the Night of November 11 to celebrate me and my husband Anniversary. The night was awesome. We was surprised by some amazing live music. The vibe was great. The only thing I think the room need is a bigger dance area. I stayed dancing. I really enjoyed myself, husband and my brother and sis did as well. We will be back.

Had a blast at Rhythm Room! The staff were so welcoming from the moment I stepped in. The bartenders were friendly and gave me some great recommendations since it was my first time. Seriously, the blackened catfish was next-level delicious. The drinks were fantastic, and the Such & Such band had me up and dancing. Id totally recommend this awesome spot!

My first experience last night was awesome. We did not have reservations and was still able to get a table. The lady at the door was so polite and professional. The waitress we had did her thing, very professional and did excellent at serving us. The food and drinks were good as well. The live band was on point. Had a wonderful time. Me and my sweetheart will definitely go again.

The lady Manager was really nice and understanding. The food was good and the drinks were great...the server was very attentive and deserving of a nice tip. The entertainment was great!!! I will DEFINITELY be there another Thursday or Sunday...

I haven t seen Scott since Skybar Days. It was a great reunion. Crowd was small (i like it like that) it was a Wed night. Im going back on. Friday ill update afterwards only had drinks and nibbled on friends apps - delicious

The service was good, but Im still very disappointed in the overpriced drinks in an atmosphere with poor ventilation and we smelled like food. A double Hennessy was $41.00 which was served in a small cocktail glass. This is unacceptable for this venue or any venue that is not a 5 star venue.

Was in town from St Louis to hear the band and the baddest vocalist in Houston Ms Marium. The vibe was everything. From the Host greeting at the door, the walk to great seating, the sweet and professional waitresses. AWESOME DRINKS!!! To a fun filled show. My family loved the food, I didnt get to taste, I was too busy drinking and lip sanging (lol). The band the band the band they killed it. I go to a lot of live shows and concerts by far felt like I was at a concert. Ms. Marium owns every song she sang in her twist, but the vocal OMG you a star in my book, my sistah. I will be back.

Love loved loved this place. Went for Sunday After Dark and the vibes were fire!!! Definitely going back. Musicians and singers were dope, the crowd was nice and the drinks were nice and strong. Perfect place for a date night, girls night, bday celebration. Grown and sexy atmosphere for all ages especially if you love live music. Can t wait to go back

Enjoyed my experience here so much! I ordered the lamb chops and potatoes 10/10 delicious. Drinks were tasty & made with good quality alcohol. Service from our waiter/bartender was 10/10 he was professional, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was lively and energetic music was spot on. I plan on coming back for my Birthday celebration soon!

Unfortunately Im going to have to go neutral. Thinking back, its no wonder most of the audience during tonights show didnt have food. It was primarily overpriced and underflavored. My lamb chops were extra well done, my entire meal was terrible and they removed 75% of its price from my tab. 18% gratuity automatically, 2 drink minimum per person, $40 for a reservation which is all dramatic for a bar with cheap, worn out furniture. On the plus side, the servers are polite and attentive, amazing drinks! The live entertainment is 5 stars. A great place to vibe.

Ive always love Scot G but my experience on August 26 was horrible. My wife took me out for my birthday and while sitting enjoying the music this guy just pass out on me. I tell the waiter to get management and Noone ever showed up. The waitress completely ignored my uncomfortable situation and so did management. My wife call the club about the incident and Noone from management ever called. We didnt care about $160 waisted because we left the club after only an hour of being there due to the incident yet maybe they were concern about the money then loyal customers. Nevertheless dont order pork chops. They were awful. No flavor and they tasted like old cooking grease. Im just completely disappointed.

Excellent visit!!! customer service and ambiance was on POINT!! My husband and I were looking for a lounge for the grown & sexy and this was IT!! I enjoyed my birthday celebration here: The DJ, food, and entertainment were just what I wanted. We will definitely return again. I reserved via OpenTable and my table was ready when we arrived with my name on the table.

My wife and I have been to the rythm room now 4 times each time to see a certain band last night the band was awesome as well as the atmosphere But then it stops there. The food is over priced and really not that good. THE DRINKS ARE WAY OVER PRICED AND HORRIBLE. THE BAR TENDER ON PURPOSELY SENDS YOU DRINKS WITH VERY LITTLE ALCOHOL. I HAD TO SEND MY DRINKS BACK TO BE CORRECTED SEVERAL TIMES AS DID THE OTHER TABLES AROUND US. 18% GRATUITY IS AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED TO ALL CHARGES. THE OVER PRICED FOOD AND ALCOHOL IS ACTUALLY BORDER LINE INSULTING AND THAT COMES FROM A PERSON THAT HAS BEEN RETIRED 18 YRS AND IS FINANCIALLY SET. WE WILL NOT ATTENDED ANY MORE UNLESS THE OWNER HIRES BETTER BAR TENDERS THAT WONT WATER DOWN THE DRINKS WITH THE GOAL TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMER WHILE STILL MAKING THE ESTABLISHMENT MONEY WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE. Until the owner corrected these issues NO WE DONT RECOMMEND THIS establishment

Scott Gertners on memorial drive is a really nice spot to chill and have adult conversation. I would definitely suggest having a reservation because the room filled up pretty quick. The waitress was attentive even though the drinks were over priced to my liking. We enjoyed the live band even though there was no dance floor. I will visit again soon .Great vibe with no drama also dressed to impress. Parking: Was pretty cool to find parking because we arrived early.

Outstanding dining and musical experience. Excellent food selection with great service. Enjoyed the band that invited us to the stage area and gave us a private dance to For the Love of You. One of the few places left in Houston for grown folks to go and have fun in a safe, soulful and happy environment featuring grown folk music. Excited about our next visit to the Rhythm Room.
