This is the best rock dive bar in Houston! The staff is super chill and have such great energy. Definitely the bar to hear awesome rock, metal, and alternative music. The underground scene is strong here, with the old school punk energy.

Came to see Seventh Day Slumber with my 13 year old (She LOVES the band) but oh my goodness Why wasn t there a warning that there s indoor smoking. Drove all the way from Austin area to come here and find myself leaving early because I can t stand the second hand smoke especially for my daughter. It might be cool for a lot of people but I guess I didn t researched more about this place. I even smelled weed

Cool smaller music venue, with VIP style lounge area with couches etc. up by the side of stage and several other tables and wrap around bar seating. Outside patio is nice for conversation as well. Staff is attentive and gives excellent customer service. Great pitcher prices and some specials depending on the night. When there isnt live music, its still a great place to relax and grab a drink or shoot some pool. Great hole in the wall neighborhood bar. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible entrance and handicapped parking near the door.

Free parking and the best staff ever assembled under a single roof. You know, Ive moved away. Yet, any thought of returning to the Space City is rooted around my return to the family I have at Acadia. Seeing Mandy, Jeremy, and Tommy. even if just for a few moments a year, helps keep the world spinning at the prefect angle... the seasons still come as expected... all is right in the world. No. I dont work there. I dont own a share in the company. But, this is still my Cheers, and Im always glad I came. Update: its been a year, but a visit to Texas wouldnt be the same without seeing a good live show and the crew running everything at Acadia. Always a good time, good music and a great pour.

I really do want to come back and check out metal bands that come to town but the fact that a music venue that allows smoking inside discourages me. I hate smelling like smoke and dont want any health problems from patrons bad habits I hope you consider changing this, otherwise Ill stick to Concert Pub, BFE, Pub 529, and elsewhere where they play metal bands Im letting the city know about this since Houston has a city-wide smoking ban

The Lunara Viking themed show was amazing. Great sound. Cool venue. However, the female bartender was totally in the weeds. I asked for 3 bottles of water and would ve tipped her $15 for them. She said there are jugs of water and cups on the floor I then said do yall sell bottled water? Where she then rudely SCREAMED at me I SAID THERE IS WATER JUGS AND CUPS ON THE FLOOR or something to that effect. To where the guy sitting at the bar in front of me looked at my friend and said they sell bottled water.. like I don t want a small cup of water I m going to spill in a jam packed venue that i also have to get up and refill every time I take a drink. It was a 4oz cup! Not even a 16oz solo cup. Lastly I wanna say the barback Forrest was SO POLITE. Any other time I ve been there the bartender Mandy is nothing but nice. Wish she would ve been working that night. Other girl needs a major attitude adjustment. If she kept that attitude up all night I would imagine it negatively affected her tips.

Well,this establishment has been around since 1981(I was 13 years old at the time),I didn t step foot in here until sometime around early to mid 90s in my mid 20s during my decade of decadence. Lol. Anyways,hung out here during the early 2000 s,played here for the first time in 2007 through 2015 with some of my cover bands. And now let s fast forward to December 3,2023, I m assisting with the School Of Rock Champion Forest End Season showcase with over 15+ bands happening all day. I ve seen a lot of bands here,I ve seen a lot of benefits supporting people of the community,I ve met a ton of musicians along with sound engineers,they ve had some of the coolest bar staff that I have met over the years,and they ve always managed to stay open through all the different decades of ownership. I ve quit smoking almost 20 years ago now so I don t go to very many establishments that allows smoking with live music. But,if y all wanna come see and support some of the best live music ever,this is one of those hidden gems that I recommend you check out some time soon. Long live rock n roll. Peace ev1

If you love finding new local bands and the smoky rock-bar experience, this is the place for you. Reasonably priced drinks, but they did go up slightly with new ownership. With that, you also get more seating, new couches and TVs etc. Its definitely a step up from before. Only downside is no food available to order, but you can BYOF.

This is a place that is special. One of the only places you can do an open mic and nobody judges you they support you. This was the place where I first performed on stage. As a musician I will always play here. Not the swankiest venue but as far as the people go, its like a family. If you like metal and great service its worth the time. Delgado Approved!!!

I just randomly walked into this place. They wanted $12 at the door to see some no name band cash only. Please. Turned around and walked out. Great business model. All I wanted was a beer. Very cool bar and venue to see live bands. I played there last weekend. The stage was wide with plenty of lighting and fog effects. Monitors were great on stage. House PA was awesome as well. Not too loud, but has the potential to be. Great mix. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable time.

Ive only been here once. The crowd was very scarce for a Friday night with 3 live bands playing. The place could be fixed up a bit it looks kinda run down. The bathroom wasnt dirty but it wasnt clean either if you know what I mean. I probably wont visit it again anytime soon.

having concerts during a pandemic is incredibly irresponsible. pictures from recent shows show pits and crowds very close together with rarely a mask in sight. in an establishment that also sells food and drink the allowance of this behavior is extremely unsanitary.
