In Nov. 2021 I hired Mr Yong as my attorney due to claims of attempting to get paid for hours that I supposedly did not work. Yong stood by me from 2021-2024 defending my case from both TX- BON and TX-HHS and both cases were dismissed thanks to the help and attention to detail from this lawyer and his team. Shortly after my termination from one of the best hospitals in Texas, I received a letter from the Texas Board of Nursing with Five allegations. I contacted several attorneys. Most attorneys said it was nothing serious, but Attorney Yong J. An was truthful about the possibility of having an employment stipulation for up to 2 Years. No one would want to hire me under these conditions. I hired Attorney An, who contacted the Texas Board of Nursing for any evidence against me. They sent over 5000 pages of supposed evidence against me. Yongs staff put hours of work into disproving most of the major allegations in 6 months. My punishment was only 3 courses and a few days of clinical practice. Although its not dismissed, I am happy to be working at a new position working from home and not having to look for another job in a clinical setting and being monitored by the Board. My situation was very unique in that I had not yet become a licensed RN when I was arrested on multiple felony charges. I had just graduated nursing school and had not yet taken the nclex. So forever being denied a license was a real possibility. The BON could have easily denied me licensure as compared to if I had already been a nurse and license being revoked. God intervened in my life and brought me to Mr. Yong. I am now a licensed RN. He saved my life and career and was more than a lawyer in so many ways. While this might be a little long. Trust me, words alone cannot describe the joy I feel typing this. Had a multiple felony arrest in February and had to renew my RN license by May 31st. Reached out to Yong the 1st week of May. Yong had my license renewed by 5/8. Mr Yong was an extremely understanding and communicative attorney. Even before I agreed to retain his services he was willing to hear out my situation and explain the typical process for handling a Board investigation. Three attorneys that I had called before him refused to even speak to me until I had paid a retainer fee. Ive been a board certified Registered Nurse since 2015. Pediatrics has always been my back ground. In 2020 I worked PRN for a home health company and met the sweetest little boy. He is trach/vent dependent, immobile, and non verbal. He was fully dependent on nurses and his mom. In February 2021 I decided to go full time. I was working over 60 hours a week helping his mom care for him. The BON and nursing school they tell you not to get attached to patients. Thats harder said than done. His mom and I became great friends. We are both single mothers. Well, by fall of 2022 I started working less and dating. The mom was irritated because I wasnt there. Mind you, I still worked 40 hours. Every day I would come to work and this poor kid was filthy. Diaper overflowing, trach was disgusting. Mom and I started to be irritated with each other. He was on seizure precautions and the lights had to be off or dim. In October 2022 she called the office and accused me of sleeping. Of course thats a big violation. I was let go (my boss came in the morning, I wasnt told I would be let go until after my shift was completed) weird how the mom felt I was endangering her child yet let me stay another 12 hours. Well the company filed a complaint with the Texas BON. I was terrified to lose my license. Im a single mother and didnt know what I would do. I reached out to Yong on the last few days of the cut off to respond to the Board (I procrastinate). He was able to stop any action the board would have taken. He video chatted with my that night and discussed details. He made me feel comfortable and helped ease my anxiety on the matter! I barely had to do anything after I hired him. A few documents and a written paper on why I wanted to be a nurse easy right? I finally received the news yesterday that the BON dismissed the case and expunged it from my record!! I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since 2005, and my goal has always been to become a Registered Nurse. I started attending an ADN program at an Institution in November of 2019. The school was later found to be fraudulent. In connection with that, I received a letter from BON recommending to deny my license renewal because of the alleged fraudulent issuance of my Diploma. I received another letter from HHS-OIG on 03/15/24, stating that they are excluding me from participating in all Federal healthcare programs since my license is either suspended or revoked due to the pending charges against me. Because of this, my world turned upside down. I was in a panic that all my time, effort, and passion in nursing would be wasted because of the allegation. In the lowest point of my life, I found the help of Atty. Yong J. An. He has always believed in me. He is a true man of God as well! Throughout the process, he was always accessible and responsive, promptly addressing my concerns and informing me of any developments. Atty. Yong and his team helped me in every way. Last year I received the worst news you could receive as a registered nurse. I have received a certified letter that I was being formally charged by the board of nursing I had no idea they were even sending me letters at first so when I found out that I was a family charge I was very scared and upset. I didnt know which way to turn. By time I got to the certified letter I only had two weeks left to respond before they revoked my license for not responding back to them in a timely manner so I went on one of the Facebook groups that I was in and looked up nursing license attorney to see if anyone had mentioned an attorney before. First person that popped up search worse Yong J. An. My friend, Stephanie D wanted to post this, Attorney Yong saved the license I worked so hard for with a clean record on nurses after over a year battle with Texas board of nursing. I had gotten the news that my Texas license had turned into a single state license while I was living in Arizona after I had renewed stating where I lived. For a year I was under the impression my license had renewed as a multi state. I had been working in another state without a license for an entire year which my job... never made me aware about. The hospital never double checked on renewals and of course threw me to the wolves to cover themselves. My then manager who I felt I was already disliked by, even though I was one of their best nurses, reported this to the board on top of reprimanding me for the mistake gone unnoticed. All this while other nurses making mistakes on an actual patients she was never reporting. How was I going to find a lawyer in another state? Was I going to have to travel? Especially when most arent available for weeks and Texas had given me a 30 day timeline to respond by self or by representation or else they would decide my license fate. I remember the stress and the desperation I felt thinking everything I worked so hard for was going to be gone. In their served papers Texas had stated that I had lied to patients and families. I of course had never meant for that to happen. I remember thinking in a parking lot crying about what I was going to do. Somehow as if God had sent this to me, I found attorney Yongs site. There was no waiting, no secretary that answered and then stated we can get you an appointment in such date. There is an emergency number on his main website. He FaceTimed me back within a couple of minutes while he was out on Sunday at church. I would just like to take the time and say Mr Yong is Heaven sent. I remember when I first received my letter about 3 years ago, I panicked. I then searched the internet and came across three different lawyers and contacted them all. Mr. Yong was my final contact. To begin with, I can t thank Mr. An and his legal team enough for a job well done. I couldn t have asked for a better outcome on my case compared to what I got out of it. I found Mr. Yong a year ago when I first got under investigation with the Texas BON and I m so grateful I did. I knew I needed help legally to save my nursing license and I didn t know what to do. I am so fortunate I obtained the services of Atty Yong. I was on the verge of depression when I learned my senseless actions would affect my professional license renewal. Where do I start? When writing a review it s important to be honest and clear about your experience. My experience with Yong began exactly 3 years ago when I received a letter from the BON with allegations against me which left me floored. I cried and was in shocked. But the Lord sent me a life raft and his name is Yong. I so pride myself about nursing. Worked hard to become one. When you received allegations against something that you have worked hard to achieve and love doing it s a hard pill to swallow. I remember my first conversation with Yong 3 years ago. Yong fought for 3 years for me. My case was probably the most difficult case he has ever come across. But he took my case on and Im am proud to say I am a nurse once again. Its been almost ten years of fighting and struggling that I went through and it all started in 2013, when I found out I passed the NCLEX in Oregon. I was so overwhelmed with joy but that was short lived. Not even a week later I received a phone call from the Oregon BON stating that my license is being held until they completed an investigation. Well that investigation turned into me being placed in a monitoring program for 4 years. I made a mistake and I had to deal with the consequences. I spent 4 long, stressful years dealing with people who werent there to help me but who were there to tear me down, but I fought. I was constantly pulled off my job because of false positive drug tests. They would send me to one of their own board certified psychiatrist who would do a assessment on me and would always conclude that i was not a risk and i was cleared to return to work. This went on several times for several years and I had several violations in my record. I had 8 months left in the program when I found out my family, my support system, were relocating to Texas. I spoke to all the correct people and was told I could transfer down to Texas. I moved down in December of 2017 and immediately applied for a license in TX. A couple months later I received mail from the board stating I could not transfer and they would not license me. I contacted my monitor and she said I would have to move back to Oregon and finish out my time. She then slapped me with 4 more violations on my record. I realized there was no way I could move back to Oregon to complete my 4 years. Mind you during this time the board was trying to take my license from me for good. The only option I had was to sign my license over to OSBON and wait 3 years to try to get it back. So that is what i did. It was either that or have them take my license for good. Once 3 years had passed, I knew i couldnt fight this battle on my own, and this is when I found Yong. I explained my situation and told him the battle I went through with OR and submitted 4 years of records to him. The records I had proved a different story then what I had down in my record of violations. He showed the TBON the real person I was and showed them what kind of nurse I am and will continue to be, and for that, I will always be grateful for him. My case was not easy and was a fight with 2 different states, but he did it. I just want to say once again, thank you Yong. You believed in me when no one else would and now I have my life back. 5 star is underrated for Attorney Yong J. An. Because, he deserves a 10 star rating . My story with the boards was very very complicated and catastrophic . I had zero hopes of wining my case . I knew my license will be revoked . I had allegations against me and hired a previous lawyer who did nothing except take my money. She told me I the best I could get was indirect supervision and would HAVE to work for this employer for a full year. For a whole year I have been waiting to take my NCLEX-RN. Fast forward 2 years and nothing being done. She made no attempt to fight for me. I decided to get a second opinion; I found Mr. Yong on google, called him immediately and spoke to him for 2 hours at no charge. He explained to me the ins and outs of what could be done to fight these allegations. This has been a long time coming. I had a 2 year fight with the state regarding my nursing license. I was extremely fortunate to have the legal counsel I had. Last year I was so devastated to received the news that my former employer reported me to the board of nursing to a prescription that I didnt write. I was bullied by my former coworker to whom I confided everything about my personal life. He wrote a prescription of XXX and signed the prescription. Don t even know where to begin. Mr. Yong is an amazing attorney and he deserves every award there is for him to be recognized. After, a fake complaint on my license was reported, and I notified of it, I was immediately shocked and didn t even know how to process it. It s a frustrating thing to go through, regardless if you re innocent. You ve worked so hard to obtain it! After extensive research, I came across Mr. Yong and to my surprise he answered me on my first call. We spoke for 30-40 minutes on video call and he immediately eased my mind. Yong An took on my case without hesitation. When I called I was able to do a consultation right away. He was very upfront and honest about the difficulty of my case, but was very willing to take on the task. The allegations against me were awful, and he was the first attorney that I spoke to that I felt sincerely was on my side and believed what I was saying when I told him the allegations were false. He was always available to talk to me about my case anytime I called or texted. The couple of times he didn t answer right away he still returned my calls within ten minutes. Sheila, the nurse that works with him, was also fantastic to work with. They know exactly how to handle each task presented to them. It is the worst feeling when your livelihood is under attack, but he made the process so much easier for me. I am very happy to say that my case was completely dismissed. A very well known hospital was using me as a scapegoat during a joint commission survey. I contacted yong j. Ann terrified that I would never be able to work as a nurse again because the hospital was trying to pin so many allegations on me. He and his legal nurse walked me through the whole process and communicated with me very well. He was honest with me about pricing also. His price was fair, and i was happy to pay it knowing all he was doing to protect me. It took time, work, and attention to detail. But eventually my entire case was dismissed by the BON.
