Diggs & Sadler is one of the top Law firms I had the pleasure to have handled my case. The attorneys and their legal support staff have always treated me with respect and understanding thru the entire process. While you have an assigned attorney, their team approach, I feel increases the likely hood for desired results. My attorney Jessica S. was professional, set and managed expectations on how to achieve the best outcome for my case. My overall experience and observations, reinforce my decision in retaining their services to represent me to their best of their ability, to be one of the best decisions I have made. Hey there, Do NOT hire Diggs and Sandler, and trust me, youll want to steer clear of them. Heres why, and Ive got some evidence to back it all up: 1) **15-minute Minimum Policy:** Now, before you sign anything with them and hand over your hard-earned money, theyll mention this 15-minute minimum policy. But let me tell you, its not as innocent as it sounds. Theyll charge you an arm and a leg for the simplest of tasks. I once got billed over a hundred bucks for a two-sentence email! Its pretty outrageous, dont you think? And heres the kicker: those tasks they bill for 0.25 hours? Most of them take less than 15 minutes. Its like theyre hoping you wont notice. Trust me, there are plenty of law firms out there that wont nickel and dime you like this. See bill attached. 2) **Terrible Communication:** Communication is key in any relationship, especially when it comes to legal matters. But once youve handed over your money to Diggs and Sandler, its like they vanish into thin air. Ive attached an email I sent them about the communication issues I faced. Take a look, and youll see what I mean. Its just not professional, you know? And whats worse, they didnt even try to make things right or improve their communication. Thats just not how you treat clients. 3) **Lack of Client Dedication:** Bottom line, Diggs and Sandler dont take their clients seriously. When I finally had enough and decided to end our contract, their response was pretty disheartening. Despite my clear instructions to stop working on my case, they just carried on as if nothing happened. Its like they didnt even care about my concerns. So, my friend, take it from me: steer clear of Diggs and Sandler. There are plenty of better options out there. If you need a recommendation, Ive heard good things about Thornton Esquire Law Group in Houston. They might be worth checking out.

Having a lawyer who pays close attention to detail can make a significant difference in a divorce proceeding. Thats really important, especially when safety is a concern. I retained Elyse Norman for counsel in my divorce. I was very impressed with her professionalism, swift responses and attention to detail. She was proactive and always communicated next steps. When my ex-wife asked me to leave our marital home, I had no idea who to turn to for legal advice. Luckily, I have a few lawyers in the family who had heard from their peers about a family law lawyer named, Tesha Peeples from Diggs and Sadler. From the minute I had my initial phone consultation with Tesha I knew that my search was over. Not only is she an extremely knowledgeable and hard-working lawyer, she is extremely empathetic. I would always tell my family and friends after talking with her, I felt a sense of peace, almost like I had just had a meditation session. Whenever I had questions, she took the time to thoroughly answer them. She was always prompt in her replies, and I almost always dealt directly with her and not assistants or other people from her office. Not that it would have been a bad thing, because they were very helpful as well. I just know that some lawyers (including my ex s) were always pushing their work to someone else. As an educator she knew my finances were limited and she always found a way to curtail my expenses and use my resources wisely. My ex-father-in-law financed my ex-wife s entire legal divorce expenses and hired the most expensive divorce lawyer in Houston. With Tesha in charge of my case, I was never worried about the outcome. Tesha Peeples is, without a doubt the most professional and experienced attorney you want advocating for you. She is compassionate and concerned for your situation while she builds your case. Tesha definitely had an uphill battle with my ex husband s lawsuit to modify the divorce decree. However, she was so thorough, so detail oriented and so focused on every aspect of his concerns for modification that the judge saw through his smoke and mirrors and denied ALL his requests for modifications. Not one request was qranted to my ex husband by the judge. Tesha, you are the best of the best!

My mother paid for a $300 divorce consultation. In this consultation, we indicated that the other person would be out of state. They informed her she had to be a resident for 6 months. During the consultation, my mother nor I were ever informed that she could run into problems with the case.. It wasnt until weeks later and expensive costs incurred, that my mother was informed that she might not get a single thing out of the divorce due to the simple fact that her husband was out of state, mind you, shes been married for almost 40 years..This would have been PERFECT to know during the consultation before running up unnecessary costs.. I mean isnt that the point of a consultation??.. My mother doesnt work and has many health issues who cant afford to be giving money away to rich lawyers. It was a perfect waste of time and felt these people should have expressed this very important detail during the consultation. Extremely disappointed in their lack of transparency. Not looking forward to seeing the bill after they ran up unnecessary and avoidable costs.

Most unprofessional, unorganized legal firm I have ever worked with. Communication is key and not only did my attorney have multiple delayed responses the owner threatened me with additional legal fees to correct the mistakes they made. I was called by the wrong name, missed trial dates, ignored, the list goes on. I will be reporting this firm the Texas Board. These reviews are also fake. A little investigation with that will be underway too.

I am an attorney who received a call from a friend, out of state, who needed representation for a probate in Houston. I called Diggs & Sadler because they have an attorney who went to the same law school I did, and I was trying to help a fellow alum out with a referral. I called and left messages on three separate occasions. Not once did anybody contact me. As a fellow attorney, I find it a professional courtesy to respond in a timely manner, especially to other attorneys, and yet, 6 days later, I have heard nothing. I eventually referred it to somebody else. Judging from other reviews, this lack of response is rather common.

I hired Jessica Schneider and Ann Kuykendall for my child custody case. They took over $10,000 from me and at the very end of the case they decided they couldnt communicate effectively with me so they no longer could represent me and that I should go look to hire another attorney. They are still contacting me asking for more money for things they havent done. I initially hired Jessica and rarely ever communicated with her directly, it was always Ann I was communicating with even though she wasnt the one I hired. They also wont tell you that theres usually 5-8 other people on your case that you have to pay them as well on top of the original attorney hired. I would highly recommend finding a different law firm and not going with Diggs and Sadler, they take your money and then decide after they take all your money that they cant communicate with you.

Hee Jin Chang represented me in a nasty divorce with many hours of mediation. She knew the facts of my case well, was familiar with what the other party could and could not do, and effectively fought for my kids rights. My case involved child abuse and an extensive, ridiculously long decree and she handled it better than I could have imagined. UPDATE: They are finally issuing my retainer refund today. However, I also just received the actual invoices and I am flabbergasted at these charges! They charged me $2,300 to file the paperwork with the County and then file the non-suit, 10-days later. Thats all they did. No interviews, records requested, financial audits - nothing, because I changed my mind about moving forward 10 DAYS after initiating the suit. If you call this firm to handle your case, youd better be prepared to spend $20k-30k+ based on these invoices. My attorney charged me $96.25 per email she sent me (most of which were two sentences or less) based on their 15-minute minimum policy. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nine weeks after closing my case they are still holding my remaining retainer funds. They keep telling me to wait another billing cycle, per their policy but even after waiting TWO cycles, I still do not have my funds. They keep telling me they re talking to their billing department but no updates come, and still no refund.

Holmes, Diggs and Sadler handled my divorce from start to finish. It wasn t a typical case, there were some geographic and other complications, but they found creative solutions that have helped me move on with my life. Realize, the named partners of the firm are expensive, but on the other hand, they have lawyers at different levels at lower rates, and they don t hesitate to tell you when someone else at the firm can handle things at a lower hourly rate. I won t go so far as to say I was happy with every single thing that happened in my case, maybe no one is, but they were always willing to talk to me about my concerns and make things right.
