I had my wedding at Dukessa in April and everything was spectacular! I cannot recommend this venue enough if you are looking for something in the heart of the city. The staff is excellent to work with; extra shout out to Norma! For the venue they provide tables and chairs, glass/silverware, catering, and bar. All you really need to get yourself is linens and your own décor/florals and they have a recommended supplier list you can use. There are F&B minimums but my wedding was 50 people and we easily met this based on our selections. The courtyard area is perfect for cocktail hour and there are multiple ways they can setup the ceremony room based on what you want. On the actual day Norma and my coordinator Amber had everything running smoothly from the venue side, bartenders and dinner staff were great and the food was delicious! They kept everything running accordingly to my timeline and I did not have to worry about anything once the day got started. Thank you again to everyone for making our day special!

My wedding at the Dukessa was PHENOMENAL! Hands down, best day of my life. I have to say that everyone at Dukessa made the day special. Norma and Amber did so amazing on the day of my wedding! If you want a wedding where no detail is spared and everything comes out better than your dreams please call NORMA, thats what she did for me! I havent even mentioned their excellent food. My guests especially liked the Brussel sprouts but really couldnt praise the food enough! For so many reasons I highly recommend having your wedding at Dukessa!

Recently had our Company Holiday Party at Dukessa. The staff was extremely supportive of all our needs for this event. The employees have expressed how much they enjoyed the space and accommodations. My husband and I just got married at The Citadel and we could not be happier with the whole experience that they gave to us. We know for sure it was the best choice of having our wedding there. The staff is very responsive, helpful and respectful. The entire venue is absolutely gorgeous, the food is very delicious, the landscape is beautiful. Citadel and staff did not disappoint. The staff at Dukessa is phenomenal. Throughout the entire process they are diligent at making sure each and every detail matches your exact vision. Everything is always yes we can make that happen, which is very calming for a bride. The venue alone is beautiful, but even more so when elegant décor is added. There are multiple areas for guests and even with a large guest count, it doesnt feel cramped. There is plenty for your out of town guests to do with this venue so close to the Galleria in the heart of Houston. Ema was absolutely amazing. Her personality really made the whole wedding process a breeze. I had an excellent experience with Dukessa!

We just got married here and I can t recommend it enough. Great location in Houston, beautiful inside, outside courtyard area and set up. There was plenty of parking with valet included for our guests. It was a dream venue and the Dukessa team is wonderful to work with. Norma and Ema are amazing to work with and are so helpful the entire way through.

I had an amazing wedding at the Dukessa earlier this month. Norma and Emma were incredible - they thought of literally every detail possible, knew all the answers to my questions, and were so responsive via email in between our meetings. I looked at a few venues as most couples do, but what I really liked about Dukessa was the following: 1) Your event will be the only event that night 2) The architecture is absolutely beautiful without looking overly gaudy like some other places I looked at 3) There is plenty of room upstairs, downstairs and in the courtyard so you dont have to turnover rooms in between. You have plenty of space with your guests and each of these areas are beautiful 4) You can design 2 different ways to walk down the aisle 5) Location was great - it was close to the galleria area and there was ample (and safe!) parking for guests. 6) The food was AMAZING. Ive never had better wedding food in my life and all my guests were raving about the cauliflower risotto Ive been working with the Dukessa over the past 2.5 years on and off since I had to reschedule my wedding due to covid and I want to give a HUGE shout out to Norma - as soon as she came into the picture I felt extremely at ease. She is so good at wedding planning and is always working with you. I never once felt that she judged any of my decisions and she always tried to say yes because she really wanted to try to make my wedding day as special as it could be. On the day of the wedding, Norma & Emma organized the wedding so extremely well that I couldnt even think of a single flaw! Moreover, the Dukessa staff were all so incredibly polite and kind. If I could choose to redo my wedding all over again, I would plan it right here at the Dukessa.

The venue is very beautiful and has several areas for the guests to mingle. Rachele and Norma had worked together really well for the success of our daughters wedding. It was beautiful. My only suggestion is to ensure that the details of the menu are noted, including the type of the sauce, because we were missing the shaffron tomato nagi sauce on the fish. We loved it so much during the tasting, and thats the only regret we have. Other than that, Dukessa is a wonderful venue for a small to medium size wedding.

We held my daughters wedding @ the Dukessa. The staff was wonderful, and helped us so much with organizing and planning. The food was excellent and the food and bar serving staff were very attentive, polite, made everything go smoothly and created the happy atmosphere we wanted for everyone to enjoy. Rebecca Marek was our rehearsal and day of coordinator/event planner and we really wouldn t have managed to get everyone seated & my daughter down the aisle let alone anything else without her there. I would highly recommend Dukessa.

Was married here in October- yes during COVID! I can t put into words how beautiful of a day it was. From the moment we visited the Dukessa years ago they have helped answer our questions, work with our budget, provide us information for vendors, and they helped me get a day of wedding coordinator weeks before the wedding. I can t say thank you because it just wouldn t be enough. They made the whole process so easy and took all the proper precautions to make our guests via comfortable during this pandemic. I would recommend the Dukessa to ANY bride

WOW. We attended a wedding here and it was superb. Their courtyard at night is breathtaking. Definitely a destination in the city. If I was getting married again this would definitely be my top choice. Food, amazing. Ceremony room, beautiful. Reception space, spacious and great panoramic view of Houston. Beautiful venue. Enough room for a wedding downstairs and reception upstairs. The outdoors were very pretty as well. I Wish I took more pics of this place because it was outstanding. My only complaint is that work was being done on the sewers in the parking lot, during the wedding, which really stunk it up. But only noticed when I was leaving so it wasn t too much of a problem. I would love to come back here for another wedding.

Kudos to every single person that works at this venue, from chef, to coordinators, receptionist, cleaning crew, servers... you name it, they are on their A game! I dont know where to start, but I will tell you that everything about our choice of having our wedding reception at the Dukessa was incredible. We did buffet dinner and people went back for seconds and thirds. Had a pasta station which almost everyone had something from. Cocktail was beautiful. Drinks were being served and every single one of my guests commented how wonderful the food and service was and how beautiful the venue was. Beautiful. Elegant. Romantic. Rebecca, Lyssa, Laura, Jonathan... I love you all for making our event so beautiful and special and thank you for being so EASY and pleasant to work with. I had my wedding at Dukessa in November and it was the BEST. DAY. EVER! My favorite thing about this venue was that we had the whole space to ourselves! The courtyard is absolutely gorgeous at night with all of the lights and fountains! They made the planning process so easy and answered all of my (many) questions quickly! The day of, I didnt get to see the venue until after my guests got there for the reception, and everything was perfect! Everything was in the exact spot as discussed with the venue director. The waitstaff and bartenders were very attentive and polished. My guests raved about the food and cannot stop talking about the venue!! I would highly recommend Dukessa!

My wife and I (mostly my awesome wife) prepared the wedding in a 5 months time-frame. I have to say, Laura was extremely open and helpful. She knew we didnt have a wedding planner, we feel she went above and beyond to help us fill the gaps, giving us recommendations and suggestions of things we didnt even think about. She kept us on track sending us emails and reminders. In regards to the value of the venue and service, Dukessa was slightly below the price of the previous 2 venues we checked out. After our visit and explanation of the services, we found out that Dukessa offered more for less compared to the other two. With that said, I (being a guy) was very skeptical. I thought we were going to end up paying for it the day of the wedding. I was wrong. The reception was just like weve planned it. It went very smooth, no problems, no last minute issues. During the reception, the service was great. Food was just like on the tasting day, servers were very kind and the Chef came to check with us if everything was good. Rebecca was always on sight, paying attention, ready to jump in when needed, always happy to help and with a smile. To summarize it, Dukessa and its staff exceed our expectations. If we had to do it all over again, we would do choose Dukessa. To Laura and Rebecca, thank you.
