During my divorce mediation, Shailey-Gupta-Brietzke was busy looking at her computer screen perhaps preparing for another case. She wanted to settle continuously and my ex and the mediator obtained me more from the divorce. I should have represented myself out of this because this attorney didn t do anything. The other attorney was fresh out of school and was better than Shailey

I have consulted with several attorneys in the Houston area regarding a modification of custody and I was very impressed with Shailey. She asked specific questions, trying to fully understand my situation so she could figure out the best strategy. She didnt tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me what I needed to hear. I broke down during the consultation, feeling defeated and helpless, like I couldnt protect my child. Shailey was sensitive to my emotions. I left her office with knowledge, a clear plan on how to best prepare and present my case for the best possible outcome and most importantly HOPE. When children are involved, its hard to always think clearly and logically without letting emotions interfere- but you can be confident that Shailey will be one step ahead, with your best interest in mind. She is very knowledgeable, articulate, humble and honest.

Working with SGB Law on my divorce has always been positive. I trust using this firm to handle my case. Shailey was such an amazing professional helping and guiding me through an incredibly difficult divorce process. She always kept all the information and any advice 100 percent honest and clear. She and her staff are extremely responsive and very empathetic towards each clients individual situation. I never felt like just another number amongst her many clients and she provided her white glove service from day one. I would recommend Shailey to any of my family or friends if they ever ended up requiring her services.

Shailey came highly recommended by my previous lawyer turned judge. He was not wrong. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. She helped us navigate an incredibly difficult and traumatizing situation, and in the end our child and family prevailed. I cannot thank her enough for putting an end to the nightmare. As other reviewers expressed, you can expect consistently transparent and fair billing, clear and concise communication, an eagle eye for details, and strategy that only comes with experience and wisdom. It became obvious that the judges, mediators, and other attorneys respect her as well.

My experience with Shailey was wonderful. As a father navigating the challenges of divorce, it often feels like the system is biased against you. Faced with a complex custody battle and challenging judges, she fought hard every step of the way. She is very knowledgeable of the law and will not be outstrategized by opposing counsel. She practices with respect and integrity. She pours her heart into her cases because she s committed to justice for her clients. She is always highly prepared for hearings, mediation and trial, and I saw her excel at each of these stages multiple times. My custody battle lasted three years (through no fault of Shailey s), and I can honestly say it was a privilege to read her briefs and watch her in the courtroom during that time. Every decision she made was highly calculated because she played to win the war, not get lost in battles along the way. She is an active listener, quick responder and effective communicator. She met deadlines and did not require continuances. Her billing is honest and reasonable. Simply stated, she s a brilliant attorney and amazing human. I cant say enough good things about Shailey. She represented me in my divorce and did an outstanding job. I always felt like my case was just as important to her as anything else she had going on, either professionally or in her personal life. Look, everybody knows divorce can be messy. It sucks. I consider myself a fairly stable and level-headed person generally, and I was equal parts emotional wreck and mental headcase. Shailey was always a calm, rational voice throughout the entire process and I am equally grateful for that as much as I am her knowledge and expertise. Thank you Shailey!
