Stopped by after an early dinner on a Wednesday, so it was pretty quiet and chill. Got to chat quite a bit with our bartender Jake, his boss Daniel, and even met the owner, so I can saw we know the owner . Yucca fries and tostones were great snacks, along with tasty cocktails (Pop Star, Fluffy Bourbon Sour, and Owners Side Car. Parking was easy, though again, it was midweek so Id imagine tougher on weekends. Will be back!

Atmosphere 9/10 Really cool Ambiente and design inside. Dogs allowed! Service 8/10 Cool bartenders - but nothing over the top. Takes a bit long to get the drinks Drinks 9/10 Good cocktails. My husband and I came here for happy hour, and definitely recommend! $10 HH drinks, and $7 frozen drinks. The atmosphere is chill and cozy. The staff is very friendly, and attentive. Our drinks were very tasty! We will definitely bring friends here next time.

Staff is quick and attentive. Very pretty and tasty drinks (not sure how strong they were, since I m such a lightweight and could have drank much more ). Great spot for literally any occasion. My girlfriend and I wanted to check out this place because it seemed really cool from the photos and the menu looked good. The drink menu was different online than it was in person. They increased the prices on the happy hour drinks to $10 per drink with little variety, only about five different cocktails. We were fine to pay the price since we drove 20 minutes to check this place out. I wouldn t have written this review, unless it wasn t for the bartender, spilling a whole pitcher of water on my girlfriend and I. Dude didn t even apologize. Not only were we soaked in water, but my girlfriend s purse was ruined. Not recommending this place.

I ve been wanting to check out IKTO for a while and since my first visit, it has been a main stay in my route home. From the gorgeous ambiance, welcoming staff, and a delicious cocktail and food program; this has easily secured its spot amongst Houston s growing bar scene. My bartender Kassandra was helpful and kind, with suggestions and guidance that made navigating the menu an absolute joy! (with the mean girl inspired cocktail names, it wasn t hard to do) I look forward to coming back often and I highly recommend sharing a drink, a converstion and good company at this lovely heights bar!

Please do not go to this place you will get scammed! Got tricked by all the instagram reels the place is nice and has a pretty bar area but the service is not up to par with their ridiculous prices. Got 1 single drink which was $20 and when I got my bill I got automatically charged 20% tip but ended up paying $28 they either tip themselves 40% or charged more than double the taxes. It s so disappointing since their happy hour menu seems interesting but will definitely not going back. All the bartenders seemed annoyed and the atmosphere is not really nice overall very ironic for the name of the place.

Honestly very disappointed I can here excepting to have a good time with my friends for my birthday. But it was the exact opposite. Because of this business being so tiny we barely made it in. After ordering some drinks we decided against this place to somewhere else it was just that bad. If it couldnt get worse they asked to have a card on tab so my friend offered hers. They rang her up then waiting ages for a drink we decided to go elsewhere and the blonde bartender told us its no problem she close us In fact she didnt. And my friend would later on become known her card was chard almost $100 when we didnt purchase or receive anything from this business. I come to understand we are not the first people who have been scammed here. So watch out and personally I give them 0 stars out of 5. Dont come here scam is likely.

I will try to make this review as detailed as possible but, short and sweet. If you are a POC steer clear of this place entirely, if you support and love POC steer clear as well. While celebrating a late Galentine s day with two of my closest gf s we encountered a very hostile individual working here. I arrived first and immediately felt the hostility with the greeting, since this was our first time there I asked where we could sit, I was told anywhere. I chose a table where there was enough space for my group and also a good enough size with a booth (the only one). Once settled the same hostile server yells from across the bar that I could not sit there as the table was reserved for larger party s of 6 or more (keep in mind at this point he didn t even ask how many were in my party) I gathered my things and moved as requested without hesitation. The rest of my party arrives and we opted to sit at the bar as it was more room. While at the bar this same server was pushy, condescending and rushing and pressuring my friends to place an order. While I was already settled and had started a tab they were just arriving and it was a warm welcome either. As the evening went on the snarky remarks were thrown our direction all evening and all other patrons were being treated much more warm and welcomed. Once it became time to close our tabs we did so and noticed a group of people ( three total) walk in and were greeted with joy and they went and sat in the 6+ section with no response from the discriminatory server. Needless to say there was obviously an issue with us and our skin color and this place. Sadly, because the food was good along with the drinks but I ll never return.

I went during happy hour, got the plantains ($5), 2 margaritas ($10 each) & a sandwich (not during happy hour so $15) for a total of $40 + a 20% gratuity they add and they do not let you know that until you pay. Fraud Alert Horrid experience at this bar today. Some 45 min after ordering, one of our party of four still didnt have a drink before had to leave for dinner reservation elsewhere. No apologies from waitress. Mandatory 20% gratuiity. Bill seemed high and waitress refused to show itemized bill to confirm wasnt charged for never-delivered drink until after paid bill in full?!?!. Bill had a $9 tax on a on $49 tab, which is about double the 8.25% legal sales tax. Oh, and you dont get to collect sales tax on the the 20% required gratuity. Too bad... liked the vibe but dont like being ripped off!

I went yesterday for the first time because the place was seen on TikTok for the great drinks and service but it is the opposite. The bartender discriminated against me and my friends from the moment we walked in. He accused us of doing something that even the cameras had no proof of and when address he never apologized for his rude and ugly attitude towards us. New favorite bar! We drove an hour to check this place out and was definitely worth the drive! As soon as we walked in I saw the house made mixers I knew we were in good hands! The drinks were excellent!!! Carla was bartending and she was on TOP. OF. IT!!! She had fantastic recommendations, her service was 10/10, but my favorite part was that she made sure our DD had just as great of an experience as we did. When we took birthday shots, she made sure to include a non alcoholic sho and the mocktails were so good we wound up ordering some of those with alcohol!!. Please dont believe the hype from tic tok about this place. Right away when my sister and I arrived. The place had a horrible smell. Ordered drinks and that took forever. ( Please remember, we were the only one in the establishment). Wanted shrimp taco but they did not have it. The Mauca sandwich was delicious and the decor is amazing but that was it. My husband and I are loyal customers to KA sushi. We absolutely LOVE their drink menu in which is all made from starch ingredients. Of course and their food menu too, lol! The staff has always been so welcoming of us so when the manager at KA told us about their new bar down the street we knew one day we would have to check it out. That one day was last night and we absolutely loved IKTO. The ambiance is really pretty: very girly, definitely a girls night out vibe or even a cute little date night. The drinks were good! The michelada was also great in which the ingredients were made from scratch as well! My husband and I appreciate bars and restaurants who create their own menu, drinks and ingredients. In which this is why places like KA & IKTO are so very unique. The staff was just as great as KA, the owner came around and recognized us from KA. Greeted us and chatted with us. They made sure we were taken care of and had the greatest experience! I can t wait to see what else the owner has up her sleeve. (:

Food is amazing. Mostly Tapas but they have some full menu items. Try the Steak and quail eggs, empanadas, and chicharrons, share those between your friends and have a few of their choice beers, and you have a great night! They have a full bar but we went with Lucky Buddhas and watermelon shots. We had a blast will defiantly go back. Friendly staff. Ask for the owner, Carla. Shes a hoot and will make you a drink that will knock your socks off. Parking: Parking is limited so Uber or park down the street and walk. I wish I knew the owner to provide feedback on my girls night experience. All five girls ordered five drinks and two orders of empanadas. When asked for additional orders, three of the five girls ordered drinks.The waiter told the two girls who didn t order that there is a wait list and they would have to give up their chairs if they didn t order any additional items. This action was disrespectful and not representative of great customer service. However, the place had a nice ambiance and the off the menu drinks were made well.

I don t believe I ve ever given 5 stars in food, service, and atmosphere! IKTO excelled in all 5 areas easily. My only gripe is the parking; however, this is the Heights, so parking is rarely simple. There is plenty of easily accessible street parking if the spots in the lot allocated to the bar are not full. If you re coming from 610 and Yale, your GPS will tell you to turn left onto Yale, right onto 11th, and then left when you head the restaurant. It is physically impossible to turn left due to the concrete barriers so you can just cross over Shepherd at the light and bust a u-turn to approach from the other way. More simple than my description is saying. As soon as you walk into the bar, you are greeted with beautiful scenery. There are flowers hanging from the ceiling, a very spacious bar, nice cushy bar stools, and an amazing selection of hard liquor. I came with 2 of my girlfriends on Tuesday, August 29th, for happy hour. Happy hour is from 4 pm to 6 pm. Drinks are 50% off. When I tell you we tried so many drinks and at least 4 of the happy hour food selections!!!!! There was not one single drink or food item we did not like. The drinks are top notch. Typically happy hour drinks can tend to be pretty mainstream and boring. These are nowhere near mainstream or boring! Every detail from the mix, the pour, the presentation, and taste was amazing. The happy hour food selections are not like typical happy hour food. You won t find wings or pizza here and I love that for us! We had a seafood tamale, oysters, a seafood dip with crackers, and my favorite, the pork belly with guacamole! The best part was the pricing! So reasonable for the portions and taste! We will be coming back! We met the owner who was very meticulous and friendly. All of the bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Very welcoming. We each got a Moscow mule cup as a little parting gift to go. Super cute. Visit this place! You won t regret it! Parking: The bar is in a small shopping center so there are limited spots assigned to the bar. Street parking is plentiful. There were also two lots behind the shopping center, but I didn t park in those because it was unclear who could and couldn t park in those lots. Don t wanna be towed!

Went for the first time on a Sunday for their happy hour. Yucca fries and salsa were delicious! Love that they carry Sol beer; it makes the best micheladas! We were served by one of the managers and it was so awesome that he gave us a mini welcome drink!
