Our Boy Scout Troop has been so fortunate as to be able.to participate in the Civil War Weekend twice now, and the boys just LOVED it. Well be back! VERY well organized event, super friendly people to work with, great set up, interesting vendors, and delicious Sasparilla!

Very interesting bit of history tucked away outside of Houston. I would, however, strongly advise only visiting out of the rainy season. Literally everything turned to mud. The plantation itself is quite beautiful.

Civil War reenactment weekend. Good turn out. Weather was warm and dry. Would be a mess to traverse in rainy conditions. Plenty of food vendors. Food was good and fairly priced, unlike Renaissance Fairs.
