I came back to Harlingen after 15 years ran into a buddy I use to play softball with long story short Iam back playing softball here at the Harlingen Sports Complex again, a little older but it is still a good place to play. No doubt about it though it still needs some funding for up keep and modifications to keep up with the times. I wish others would see the true potential of this whole area but you have to throw some money at. These fields at the sports complex could [should] be so much more special. Regardless I still love the place.

My kids like this park. We go walking here, they like to stop and watch the ducks and turtles in the little pond. This park has baseball fields, basketball court, playground, soccer field, a pavilion to host parties. Plenty of parking. Overall a good place to spend a Saturday evening with the family. Watch out for the 2 geese though.

Earlier tonight l took my girls to walk and enjoy the ducks and turtles. Sadly we had to stay off the pier due to a missing plank, another one with dry rot and one not even bolted down. There is also some kind of concret base with exposed wires where someone can trip over it. I dont understand how this can be left unseen or or gone un-reported. I would hate for a child to fall into the water or get hurt. :-(

This is a great park! There is a fenced-in playground (both for big kids and one for little kids), basketball court, baseball diamond, large gazebo with pit BBQ grill, pond where you can feed the ducks, lots of parking, bathrooms, etc. My only gripe would be the lack of maintenance at the park. Most of it feels pretty dirty and overgrown. With a little love, this would be an amazing spot!

Jog/walk trail desperately needs updating. Childrens park area slides & playgym as well as picnic tables are very very dirty, Trash left on grounds & tiny single water fountain has been clogged for months & water is filthy. It is the most likely source of contamination which landed grandchild in ER with severe vomiting & excruciating pain. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION ASAP... our childrens health depends on Citys concern & promote attention!
