I really liked the puffy tacos and the tortilla chips but the salsa was outstanding! My husband had a traditional breakfast, the country ham with a side of biscuits and gravy. He gobbled it all up and didnt leave even a tiny lick on his plate (but said the gravy wasnt as good as his ). Every town needs a diner like this, with traditional American and Mexican foods!

Great place with friendly service × food is the best... Visited again this past weekend ( 8/24 ). My wife & I were greeted by a waitress named Cathy. It was such a pleasure to have gotten to meet her. Great personality & great values for such a young girl. Didnt think that was a trait anymore. On top of our great service the food was just as good as always. Newly renovated main dining area is a great upgrade. Roosters will not disappoint!

Do not order the club sandwich! I ordered the turkey club. There were 2 very, very thin slices of meat that I couldnt tell from the way it looked or how it tasted if it was ham or turkey. Tasteless. The bread was thicked sliced like Texas toast and very soggy. In all it was a disgusting sandwich. I told the server that it was terrible. She could see it wasnt eaten. But, she say sorry.

First time trying Roosters. We went for breakfast. It has a good mix of American and Mexican food. I had the biscuits and gravy. It was really good and came with a side of eggs and hashbrowns. My wife had gorditas with migas and barbacoa. They were so big we could have shared them. We will definitely be returning.

We have had several Wounded Warrior Project group meeting here over the last couple years, and the owners are always very attentive to us. Today we presented an official Wounded Warrior Project plaque to them to thank them for their hospitality. The food and atmosphere are always great, and the entire staff always takes great care of us and all their customers. The owners are always very visible and engaged with their customers which is great to see. Thank you for always providing us with a great experience!

Dont go on Tuesdays. They sneak a cover charge in on your bill, and what the price for beers says on their table cards and menu is less than they charge. Will not return on Tuesdays. Just saying, beware of your bill on nights with entertainment for charges. . ..

1st time here and loved it. (Note to self bring a jacket back area is freezing cold). They offer tacos in small and large so we ordered the Taco Loco for $3.99 (Eggs, chorizo, potato, cheese, and bacon with side of beans) it was the large taco. They also offer a 5% discount on your order if you check in. Love the hours and they have daily specials too and if youre looking for a place to drink and eat They serve beer here too and have happy hour from 3pm to 6pm. If you decide to stop by ask for Marrissa she is very friendly and attentive with a great attitude.

First time, and I had steak and eggs with grits, and I dont think the price matches the plate. The food was ok and really didnt stang out, the grits were disappointing as they didnt have flavor and they were drowned in butter. The steak needed flavor and was a little tough. Overall the food is good. Just beware if the waitress comes around with a tray of cheesecake cupcakes asking if you want one. She did not say these are $3.99, would you like one? If she had, I never would have taken one. I thought they were just trying to getting rid of what they had so they wouldnt go bad since she went to every table asking in the same manner. Im sure the other customers were just as surprised when they paid their bill and the amount was more than they expected because some got 3 or 4!

Stopped by Roosters Cafe on business 83 in Harlingen Texas on June 02, 2023 to eat breakfast. Waitress was courteous, I ordered Menudo and Barbacoa. Food was hot and delicious! Great service, restaurant experience was so cozy, nice decor. Owner stopped by to say hi and to see if my breakfast was satisfactory to my liking, and if waitress was coming by and asking if I needed anything else, which she did. Overall experience was excellent! I recommend Roosters Cafe if youre in the area.. I definitely will be back again!

Best hamburger I have gotten in the Harlingen area. Very small but top of the line food. Im afraid that this Restaurant will have to expand if more people find out about it. My wife went there with some friends and told me the cheese enchiladas were really good so we went there Friday. It was so good we went back Saturday. Friendly service and excellent food. A Restaurant has to be better than just good to survive in the RGV and this one is a really good one.

Absolutely horrible food Trust me you will be disappointed . Sad that they open a restaurant and cant cook . Tried them three times to see if they had improved and all three times the food was horrible .

Just ate there awhile ago..good customer service along with little Victoria our server n order taker..i had lunch menudo combo serves with 3 delicious home made corn tortillas n barbacoa..soo tasty .highly recommend...
