Honestly one of the worst companies I ve talked to about renting, it s almost as if they don t even want people to rent. I had tried scheduling a viewing for one a couple weeks back on the site they messaged to schedule one on and they never got back so I called and they said they don t even use that site anymore. Then when I tried to get approved just to go look at the apartment they said both me and my partner had to make triple the rent. Everywhere else I ve looked it s always been just if we jointly make three times the rent this company is so ridiculous.

This company has been extremely helpful since day 1. They made moving from the East Coast to Texas extremely stress free in a short window. In my rental property, I had one concern and without hesitation, I had a fence extension to prevent stray animals coming in my yard. They are very attentive and respond very quickly.

Rented with them for three years, never once got a receipt of my monthly rent payments after asking about it a few times. They clearly sit in that office and do nothing because you have to literally ask for everything because they don t know how to do their job. The Martin guy is a piece of work to talk to. Don t rent or anything with them they are very selfish and only care about the money and not about the tenants.

Great customer service and friendly atmosphere/workers. We rented our first apartment was a great experience with this company. They have various beautiful apartments and locations that can suit your needs. Whenever we needed repairs it was done in a timely fashion and they made us feel comfortable with any concerns. I absolutely love living at this apartment complex! The manager, Martin, is incredibly helpful and always goes above and beyond to make sure our needs are met. The staff here are also incredibly friendly, and I appreciate their warm and welcoming attitude. It truly feels like a community here, and I couldnt be happier with my decision to live here.

I was calling to inquire about a property. My inquiry was a simple one. Can i please see the property before i apply for it? Victoria, the snide employee, responded that she was not the specific employee i spoke to earlier and she could not give me any information. I told her that i could easily provide the address for the property I was interested in renting. She kept asserting that she could not give me the information on seeing the property because she was not the employee i spoke to earlier. This is a prime example of lazy unmotivated employee who rather lose potential clients than doing her job, which i reiterate was a very basic question about being able to see the property. If this is the kind of service you receive for such basic inquiries, imagene when you need to service the home you will be renting. You could expect a runaround from Victoria. Please take your business elsewhere and realize that there must be a reason why this company has a low google rating.

My experience with Mason and Co is both good and bad. Most of the repair requests I made were taken care of, I constantly had to ask for updates because days would go by without anyone stopping in to address the issue. Most recently, the storm that occurred on April 29th left us with a few leaks. I called, and the maintenence clerk stated they would be sending someone to assess the damage to the roof, we waited the entire saturday and sunday, and no one came( even though they said a contractor did). Its been nearly 3 weeks since the damage, and still, the owner has taken no action. While its understandable that Mason and Co. manages various locations, that does not excuse them for such neglect. Maybe they should not take on more than they can. *Photo with mold on ceiling is not out apt, but one of the other units in our facility. Shows that they do not care to inspect their own building *

There employees are very friendly and helpful the person who was assigned to us did everything he could possible and worked with us to get us into our new home very helpful ! Answered any questions we had right away even on the first day moving in we had an issue and he got it handled on the same day we are very appreciative for what this company has done for me and my little family

Worst company in Harlingen. I rented out their property for a year ONLY. Normal wear and tear damage. Tell me why, they took out $300 from my deposit, for exactly, as stated, DUSTY blinds and ceiling fan, and to paint the walls. I have had my AC fixed several times and they get me for a dirty ac filter?? Which they changed several times, and THREE months before I even moved out. Absolutely disgusting. They pay maintenance for a reason, to do the job they are paid for. I respected the maintenance people when they came over, and I cleaned up my own place at that. A few dusty blinds does not cost $300.

I noticed the quality in service has significantly declined since the beginning of 2021. Theres hardly any efficient communication. If you need a repair in your house, fix it yourself. . The bright side, they do not harass you at your home and allow adequate time to pay rent.

I have been renting an apartment from Mason & Company for two years. They are a ruthless landlord who files evictions against tenants out of their home in the middle of a stay-at-home order in the face of a global health pandemic. Additionally, there are no office hours, and they are not showing any properties, likely to protect the health of their employees. If only they would take such initiative to care for the health of their tenants instead of causing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I ve been living at The Residences at uptown close to seven years now. I will forever be thankful to Tom and Keith for treating me so well after my accident and going so far and beyond to help me move into a first floor wheel chair accessible unit. Martin and the staff are wonderful especially after locking myself out so many times. I m hoping they ll continue to work with me on purchasing my first home..

As a contractor for Mason I can say honestly everyone in their office cares for tenants and employees alike. I have received calls late in the evening to go help tenants with their emergency they try everything in their power to make sure tenant get taken care of. I do work for other reality companies but mason is by far the best. Thank you guys for your patience and passion for what yall do!!!! P.S. I am currently renting a townhouse. At first when we got on board i had a few complaints regarding not having viewings available but as soon as my place was ready to move it I really had to say I was being impatient and anxious. I am really glad we decided to rent with Mason & Co. The office staff is super nice and helpful as well.

Disgusting and shady business practice. Will screw anyone over for a quick buck. This company thrives off deception and are untruthful to their word. Will not fix anything on time and will find ways to keep you paying. An employee named Martin made my life incredibly difficult. I wish I could give negative stars. This is what happen. And OF COURSE Mason and Company is gonna DENY every part of it. I was running late to work-and locked myself out. I called the MAIN office-told the receptionist I locked myself out. She said okay well send someone ALMA called me back and said do you have 35$ for the fee I said I dont carry cash-Bill my debit card I was told FLAT OUT NO. And for me to find someone to take me to the office. I was obviously PISSED at this point. Really? You cant bill my debit card? Then to INSULT me even further she says call pop a lock. They charge 40$ with an attitude. I obviously started cussing saying what the F am I supposed to do? She said I dont need to listen to this and hung up. I called back EVEN MORE LIVID and spoke to some Kenneth person to complain. This guy LAUGHED at me as I complained. Stay FAR away from Mason and Company. Stick with Cantwell. Edit: I got a response from them within the last day, when this happened 2 years ago. CLEARLY from the date. Anyway. Wasn t after hours this occured at 11AM**** shady business. Do not rent with them. They re trash.

Worst realtor to deal with. Dont waste your time or money. Very unprofessional! Units are not worth it. Took them a month to fix my a.c. & thats bc i had to call & remind them again. My toilet was leaking, maintanance man didnt know what he was doing. Fixing parts that were not the issue. Had to come back again since it was not fixed right, only to break it. Had to get another toilet, & messed up the wall where toilet was connected too, that the company is now trying to charge me for. Didnt care what I had to say. Still asking for rent money. Making me change my rent payment from the 20th to the 1st w/o pro rating.... its true what u read about Martin. Thats how Martin screwed me over.... I paid on the 20th of June screwed me over on July 1st saying I was late on my rent. & thats how the late charges accumulated. Didnt accept my rent in July 20th saying I was late. But lyk I said, he didnt bother pro rating... told me if I cant pay all to pay 1/2 on the 1st then 1/2 on the 15th. Still screwing me over. & thats how I got evicted!! When I wanted to appeal, Martin still trying to talk to me asking why I wanted to appeal. That I was only wasting my tym bc judges most go for the landlords side. After when he supposedly worked out a payment plan, but only took my money & still filed for the eviction... Mr Mason called me also & let me kw that he was glad we had worked out a payment plan... But I still got evicted. Caniving is a good name for that company!!

VERY unprofessional. One of our neighbors were moving and i told them i was interested in the duplex, so they gave me the information and i was the first person to contact the company about the duplex and they told me they were working om some new terms for the lease so I told them to call me as soon as possible. They NEVER did, and when they finally called my husband, they called other people at the SAME TIME. As if it was a race, and the first one who gets there gets the duplex, really????like a jungle race .They also told me to take the deposit money but when i got there, they told me they had already given the duplex to another person???? WHY contact me then??? And tell me to take money???SMH!........

I had been a renter from Mason and company for 2 years and enjoyed dealing with them. I had issues with the unit I was in but repairs were extremely timely. Also being a disabled Veteran I do have some special needs and this company worked through them with me. Kudos! KeithC was awesome to deal with to the point I could also bond with him. I also used this agency to purchase a new home and it was a smooth experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to buy! Very positive experience for me. I am writing this review on the one year anniversary of my purchase. Thanks again Keith! He was an excellent fiduciary.

Very unprofessional. Took them 3 weeks to fix a broken water heater in our unit, didn t have hot water because of it. Also managers are very unprofessional about paper work and following up with tenants. Received threatening voicemails that I would have my rent increased if I didn t do this or the land owners signed them to manager their property, which I might add Karen and her husband are very unprofessional as well when addressing any issues. I always paid my rent on time. Horrible company.
