Went in to get some brunch. First guy who greeted us was very nice and sat us down right away. But as we were sitting down looking over our menu we hear the other servers in the back arguing over who s taking our table. I already have two tables so I m not taking them We sat there for about 15-20 minutes and no one ever came over to take our drinks. Ended getting up and leaving and went to the one down Lincoln ave. Such a difference, greeted by everyone, drinks and order were taken as soon as we sat down. First and last time going to this new one.

This is my favorite place in Harlingen for breakfast. Bianca is the best waitress here, hands down!!! There is another gentleman as well but I can t remember his name. He works 6 days a week and only gets one day off, lol sorry can t remember his name but I remember him saying that and it shows because we frequent this location often and he is there working. Please take care of them two as they make our visits worth while, best customer service I have ever experienced from them! Food is ok and what you expect from an IHOP. Classic chicken sandwich is a favorite, but fluffy french toast is my personal favorite for breakfast.

The worst service we have ever gotten at this location. We got here at 10:50 am waited to get drinks and waited for a while before the waiter came to get our order, then waited another hour for food to get here. We were a party of 4 and my daughter ordered pancakes only no plate, just pancakes, and she didnt get We had to ask for it to go I ordered French toast. It never arrived either didnt even get it to go. My husband ate and went to the car to wait for us to get. rest of our meals we asked for the check 12:15 and got it at 1:22 paid bill and left

When I walked in, I noticed it wasnt that busy, so I assumed it would be a usual type of service. Usually, when I come to this location, there is very good service, and we are in and out. I was in IHOP restaurant a very long time ago. But on our way from Padre Island to San Antonio, we were hungry and decided to stop by IHOP for lunch. It was an excellent experience. Alot of talking and laughing in the kitchen. It took an hr to get our food. They forgot my pancakes. You can tell they dont clean the grill regularly; I got black burnt pieces on my food. They brought the wrong pancakes. They took my husbands drink to refill it and never brought it back. He asked for it and still didnt get his drink back. There were only 4 tables; it really wasnt busy. Sad. I liked this place.

My family went at a busy time on Sunday. The staff was friendly and fast. Everyone moved with a sense of urgency, which I dont see much anymore at most establishments. First time in a ihop in years. First of all I have to say John was so welcoming and friendly..best host I have ever seen..you go John !!! Now to the food, presentation was awsome! I had the mushroom Omelet and the wife had the classic Benedict. My Omelet was an Omelet..nothing special. I asked for OJ and BBQ sauce, had to remind the server, already had our food and my wife wanted more Hollandaise sauce (Poblano Hollandaise??) Thats not Classic!. They charged $2.49 for 2 small plastic cups of sauce each. First of all I think the server should have let us know the cost so we could make that decision and just not put it on the bill. We are usually 20% tippers, because of the $5 sauce charge we dropped the tip to 15%. I have to say, ihop is still not going to be a favorite for us.

Todays visit at the IHOP, I usually dine in was not very satisfactory. I usually order the Buttermilk chicken which was changed to chicken strips. I was so disappointed. The strips were dry and hard. The potatoes were also super dry. I ordered white gravy and it was not enough. When I asked for more it was going to be an extra charge. So I declined. I was asked to get another order but it had already taken a long time to get our meal. So I struggled looking for the meat on the chicken strips . It could have been better. The waitress was polite. From the moment we were walking into the restaurant, we were treated so well, with a huge smile and a very pleasant personality. Our waiter and the rest of staff were so kind and polite, the service was excellent. The food was also great. And the music gave this IHOP an elegant feel that we greatly enjoyed. IHop is not as good as it used to be. Asked for the bacon to be extra crispy. Recieved it no different than normal undercooked and not crispy. Asked for more gravy, was told there was an extra charge. Told the waiter it should atleast cover the biscut like the picture in the menu. He said sorry that is a proper portion. Agreed to the additional charge. He went back grabbed the 1oz cup of gravy and microwaved it. When it came to the table it was still in the plastic cup and the cup was melted. Wow. Then proceeded to charge $2.49 for the gravy. There is nothing special about that gravy. It tastes like the packets you can buy at the store for a $1. Serious mark up there. The blueberry syrup is no longer on the table and you have to ask for it. It also comes in a portion cup. It is very thin tastes watered down. Someone is cutting costs.

Went in this morning for breakfast and after waiting up front for almost 5 minutes we decided to seat ourselves as my husband had an ulcer on his foot and cant stand for too long. After another 5 minutes he waived down a waiter. As the waiter was walking in our direction he mentioned to another employee that had been standing in the corner the whole time that we hadnt been attended to yet. The employee then told him that it was because we had seated ourselves. I heard what was said and told the waiter that we sat ourselves because no one was in front. That was so upsetting that we just left. If they want people to wait to be seated then the host/hostess should be at their station. We eat there several at least once a week. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

They are great!! Management is wonderful, James really is very helpful , Raymond who wears many hats in the leadership. Thank you,Santiago whom I never met for having a great team here. Did I say I love the food here. Only one thing I am saddened that IHop discontinued the sourdough bread . Love the smoked sausage. Loved it. Pls bring it back or bagles. Thank you. You have to try the biscuits!!! I know thus is IHOP and famous for their pancakes...but Im telling you the biscuits at this location are sooo good!!!! They taste home made and truly southern, 10 out of 10 recommend theyre my new favorite dish there!

Newly opened, restaurant and restroom was pretty dirty. We were warned as we walked in by other customers that we might have trouble with the service. We didnt wait to long to be seated. Our server was super friendly but not very experienced. Out the gate my daughters drink was brought incorrectly. Wife ordered the cowboy burger, which had a great presentation also came with a free hair on the bun and a very very crusty plate bottom. Daughter ordered some crepes and a brunch burger with an over easy egg. Egg was overcooked and dry. Crepes were delicious. DIL kept it simple and ordered a classic burger. No issues there. I ordered the Cheesy Bacon Ranch plate with side salad. Entree was absolutely delicious , the salad was absolutely boring ( pile of greens with two slices of tomatoes and a bunch of sliced onion. I even got a crusty plate also for free. Server was very attentive to our concerns and advised management. Thats pretty much where it ended. All in all not a very good visit. Server was really nice but she kept disappearing and it took a while for her to come check on us. Hopefully they get better. Finally got something nice on the east side and it probably wont survive if it keeps up like this./ 10-7-2023 visit, stopped in for bfast after a night on the town. Looked like a very slow night. Place was clean and quiet. Service was ok, just a tad slow but it was actually an improvement from last visit. Had the steak and eggs with was a roll of the dice considering its not a steak house. Verdict?, will definitely not order again. Steak was cooked to my preference but it was very bland and not tender at all. The other people with us had a burger and bfast sandwich meal. Looked delicious. They had no complaints

We had a wonderful breakfast my Omelette was delicious and my wonderful and awesome new love s 2x2x2 looked amazing and our and server was super attentive. I love IHOP. We will definitely be going back again. Parking: Beautiful clean parking lot and plenty of parking spaces. Kid-friendliness: Always kid- friendly and wonderful kids breakfast.
