For the price of spinach dip there is no way I get more salsa then I do spinach dip. I asked the waiter if it was correct and she replied with the manager said yes . How is the amount so different from when you dine in versus carry out. I literally came here just to r spinach dip and I I got half of a 4 oz serving. This is a rip off. This was the last straw for me.

Restaurant smells of old urine an/or mildew upon entering. Wait is 5 to 10 minutes for the hostess to disengage herself from personal conversation. The server was fantastic. The food was fried in old oil and presented in a way that suggested one should just take it to go. A cocktail is clearly just chep mix and cheap booze. Dont bother. A side Caesar salad was the only palatable offering delivered. I know the place just got work. It needs more, clearly. Paid, tipped, will not return.

We got seated at a table. The person that sat us down was very nice and cheerful. Then we sat and waited for our waitress/ waiter. A male waiter came by and said our waitress was tied up but asked what we wanted to drink. We got our drinks and he asked if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered chips and salsa. Then waited for someone to take our order but no one came. We paid for chips and salsa and drinks, then left. A male supervisor came and asked if everything was good. We said no, our waitress never came to our table. All he said was Im sorry. This was the Harker Heights location. ****Very poor customer service. I dont think I will be back.***

Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. FAST service. In fact, too fast. Definitely missed this place! Our service was fast and friendly! The food was delicious! Update/ we went for dinner tonight (7-30-2024) and the hostess told us they were a bit short staffed so a 10-15 minute wait, luckily this hostess was Awesome and got us a booth in 5 minutes! We sat on the bar side and Jess was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! SHES Spot on and fast!!! GREAT FAMILY DINNER with some PRETTY Awesome people that work at Cheddars!!

Everytime that I have come here I have been disappointed. We have been here for an over an hour waiting on our food and when it finally arrives it was cold and dry. I thought that maybe the last we had came here (NOVEMBER 2023) it was maybe just a bad day but this has happened at specifically the heights location too many times. I also want to add that my friends and I felt very nauseous and sick after eating and will not be coming here!! I love Cheddars so the consistently bad service is very disappointing. However, we had a very sweet and kind server named Margaret. Her attitude made the experience a little better.

Boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. Service was excellent. Our server Jina was great with advising me on what to choose from as this was my first time coming. I ended up ordering the meatloaf with a loaded baked potato and steamed broccoli he got the Monte Cristo and we got the Cheddars cheese fries. .. and the crescent rolls delicious on top of everything the price was by far the best Ive seen in a restaurant of this caliber... Will be back and hopefully get Jina as our server the next time. She was great and wish I could have tipped her more. Jina made my experience 10 Times better with her smile and demeanor. Best server in Harker Heights Parking: Parking was great Kid-friendliness: Loved that the kids in other booths were not shushed every time they got loud.. it was awesome to hear the joy in these kids after theyve eaten

Called to see about a wait list. The phone hung up 3 times when trying to transfer me. I hit option 2, so Im not sure why it wouldnt take me straight to the hostess stand. Finally asked who answered the phone if there was a wait. They said no and that I could come in and be seated. Get there and was told a 15-minute wait. Let the hostess know what happened with me calling. We waited outside, and some time had passed. We went inside and sat down, and then a few minutes later, she called my name, and the text notification went off. We get seated. We ordered everything at once. We get the bread, then chips and dip. The chips looked like crumb pieces. A few minutes later, the food comes out. I ordered Dijon Chicken n mushroom over rice, loaded back potato n southern style green beans. Green beans were not it at all. The baked potato was so small. Sour cream would have hit the spot. But it was ok. The chicken was bland besides the Dijon taste, which I come to know that I dont like. But it wasnt overpowering, so I ate one chicken and brought the other one home. If it were more seasoned, that would have been great. (My boyfriend said his food was good. He had the plate with shrimp and pasta). There were tables with dirty dishes just sitting there. People were waiting for tables. I had only been in here 2 times years ago, and they were good experiences. That night, I just wanted to eat somewhere different that I thought wouldnt have a wait. But overall, it was ok. The server was a nice young lady.

Waited 45 min to get our food. Our appetizer and drinks came out quickly but had to wait an additional 30 min for our main course (this includes the side salads we ordered, that came out after the main course) and had to wait an additional 15 min for baked potatoes that were obviously overcooked and had been sitting in a hot pan someplace. All of our food was ordered at once, up front with no surprises. Very disappointed in this location. 1/10 Would not recommend.

I tried ordering from this restaurant a few times and each time it was a disaster but thats what I get for giving them another try. I ordered food for my family and when we picked it up they told us the drinks werent available which is fine just refund that portion. But the when we get home part of our food is missing so we call and we speak to someone and they assure us that they will add that on to the refund for our drinks days past we never receive it I call back Im assured itll be there days past we never receive it and this is about the third time I just feel if youre going to have a to-go service make sure the service at least knows how to get the food items in the bag or make sure you learn how to refund the patrons their money back.

Jess at the bar is by far the best bartender, hands down. She is very welcoming and is always doing her best to make sure her customers are taken care of and happy with their experience. We visit Jess/Cheddars at least twice a week. Cheddars in Killeen has some of the best staff. If you don t sit at the bar, make sure to ask for Sean, Francis or Anthony! They will make sure your experience is the best. These waiters/bartenders are the absolute best.

My husband and I dropped in on a Sunday afternoon and this was our first time visiting. The place had a waiting list so we decided to sit at the bar and it was a great idea. The bar server that took care of us was a young man with very curly hair. He was very prompt to notice us upon sitting down at the bar area. Brought us our drinks in a timely manner and took our order without any problems. Our appetizer came out in a timely manner and as well as our main course meal. The food was the right temperature, generous portions and tasted absolutely great. We highly recommend this restaurant. You wont be disappointed.

The service was horrible from the time we walked in the door until we paid and left. The manager was making excuses on why it took 45 min to sit a table for two when we were told 15 min. Our waitress/waiter only came to our table once and it was to take our order. We didn t get any service from them after that. Other waitress had no regard for the customers. I m so disappointed with how cheddars has been. This used to be my favorite restaurant. Me and my husband went to eat last week on a Wednesday. We were seated by the hostess who seems to have an attitude ok no problem every one has bad days. Took at least ten minutes for ur server to come over and greet us. No worries we knew exactly what we wanted just needed drinks as we already put the appetizer in the computer. Another couple was seated and every server came to greet them. We got our appetizer still no drinks. This family not only got their drinks but also a bar drink while our server was no where to be seen. Even the gentlemen who was off the clock mind you asked if he could get us drinks. We thanked him and said don t worry about it as our toddler was getting frustrated and just done being there. We had now been waiting from being sat for thirty minutes at this point. That s a lot to ask a two year old. Me and husband ended up calling it quits with no drinks or sign of our server left a $20 to cover the chips we ate with no drinks and proceeded to leave. I guess the guy who asked if he could get us drinks got a manager because he ran outside to stop us and apologize. Which was great gave us a $40 gift card and my $20 back. Well I tried it again tonight. I m so disappointed. We got the chicken tender family platter. All I mean all of the chicken is over cooked and chewy. That was it I m sad to say I will never come back. This really was my favorite restaurant. I even worked at this exact one as a server in 2010. Everything else was really good came home warm but we really wanted the chicken tenders and for them to be so overcooked it s inedible.

I placed an order through the cheddar s app for two entrees and sides. I pick up my food and make it home only to realize there is no sides in my bag. I called the restaurant to speak to a manager and after a very long wait time I spoke to manager that apologize and said she will replace the side. I get a call back five minutes later by one of the waiter stating the manager said my side show up when the order was placed through the app and if I want my sides, I will need to pay extra money out-of-pocket in order to get them. I explain to the waiter the sides are included with the entrées. She goes on to explain that something I would have to speak to the manager about. My family and I came here tonight to celebrate my niece s graduation. Everything started off good as far as the waitress and ordering but that s about it. We ordered drinks also which were suppose to be frozen but we re watered down. We asked the waitress if the bartender could make another one because my sister wanted it completely frozen. We called the manager out for being deceitful and he says we have been rude all night when we just had got there. We hadn t even got our food. He was very rude. I can t believe he is a manager. This is the 2nd Cheddars I ve had a bad experience at. Very disappointing especially because we were suppose to be celebrating my niece.

Sadly, I dont remember our waiters name, but we were greeted promptly with a smile. Our drinks were brought promptly as was our dinner. My husband had the salmon, which was delicious. I had the steak and shrimp, which were equally good. Also, the prices were very reasonable.

I was there this afternoon, 05/05/2024. Around 2:00pm there was a long line to get in. My plate contained ribs with potatoes and both were cold and the chicken fingers were flavorless and cold. The spinach dip was also cold. Excellent waitress service. Although the waiters are busy and cleaning tables all the time, it is very important for the manager to be aware of the areas that are clean, for example. floors that are not sticky and entry doors are clean without fingerprints. Its the second time I visit the place and the doors are always dirty. I had previously told the manager. My suggestion is that there be more staff who are attentive to the cleaning of the areas since the waiter has several tasks.

This was my worst dinning experience. My food was correct, but my friend s food kept coming out cold/luke warm. When my bill came it too was very wrong. It had food on it that I didn t order and food that i ordered but I never received. The manager comped my friend and her daughter s food but I still had to pay an altered bill that mad no sense. Clearly I m no going back there again. AND IN CASE YOU RE wondering . We did tip the waiter because we couldn t figure out who to blame for the poor service and food.

4/27/2024 Ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries and coleslaw. Not only did they give me about 15 fries but they were also soggy. My wife got the lemon pepper chicken with the salad and corn and her plate looked pitiful as well. For the price its not worth it. Im good on this place for a while. I will stick to Bubbas and Texas Roadhouse. Update: I ordered a half rack of ribs with a caesar salad. When I got home and opened that salad that had to been the saddest disappointment of a salad I ever seen. Not only was the container super small but the lettuce was brown and wilted. The croutons felt like they were soaked in water all day. Whats crazy is I had the same thing happened with Texas Roadhouse last week. Salad looked awful. Dont even know what else to say. Steak and shrimp combo shouldnt be 13.99 when the shrimp is small and the steak is barely 6 oz. I get more for the same price at Texas Road house.

My wife & I went here last night and it was ok at first. We were sat to eat by a nice hostess and then things got weird. There was a commotion in another seating area. Loud screaming and confusion. Kinda gave my wife a scare. We then ordered our food, my wife(pregnant) ordered a spinach dip and I ordered a shrimp pasta. As we sat and waited for our food to arrive, the commotion started to creep folks out and they started to order their food to go. We did not. Our dip arrived and it was delicious, until my wife got to the very last bit and found a piece of wood in her dip! This made me very upset! I had to go retrieve the manager myself. When I did, Chris was his name. I asked him how could this happen? This could have been a very dangerous situation for my wife or our unborn child! He offered to remove the item from our ticket and replace it for free. At this point my wife was already feeling unsure about eating anything else that came from the kitchen! We love this place and were very disappointed in the nonchalant attitude from the manager about the situation! We will not be eating here anymore. They lack in food safety and food quality. We still paid $30 for food that we didn t trust eating. This is not ok!

Thanks to cheddar for a $26.00 lesson on were not to eat a piece of toast burn as black as the container it was in,missing the Coleslaw and enough salt in the broccoli casserole to carry a family of 4 for a week. Took my granddaughter for her birthday. They dont have a special desert for people celebrating their birthday, but the manager made her a slice of chocolate cake with ice cream covered in caramel, and brought it to the table, and sang happy birthday for her. One could say it was bad timing but by the time we moved here Cheddars Scratch Kitchen was going through a remodel. (Well, the roof caved in and they had a lot of work to do to restore.) We kept hearing about it being a place parents took their children and that it was very comfortable. Something clicked today that said, Lets try Cheddars. It was lunch time and we were greeted warmly as we entered. The inside was very nice and welcoming. We ordered the queso (not pictured because I dove right into it), their half-pound cheeseburger and their Buffalo chicken wrapper with fries. Queso was great...yes, I apologize and will get a photo next time...oops, spoiler. The burger was thick and cooked the way I like. The Buffalo chicken wrapper was perfection. The wife thinks she can nibble on it for a few meals as it was a massive plate of food. The fries were great...as was (another unphotographed item) a small side of broccoli cheese casserole. The service was friendly and courteous...a great experience overall. I can see us coming back soon. There is quite a big menu to explore but we are up for the challenge. I am thankful we finally got to check Cheddars out.

The white fish was under cooked the ribs were tough and over cooked. The cheddar legendary monster cookie was horrible it came come out freezing cold. It was over microwaved. It was two colors. They must have changed the recipe on that cookie. The crazy part of all this is Ill go back and dine. The manager explained that it was a new training cook in the kitchen.

Service is hit an miss. Its either the best or the worst, no in between. We dont normally get our side salad that we order and the steaks are always made well done when we order a medium. The worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. We went out to celebrate my birthday tonight and once we were seated we just sat there waiting for 25 minutes. No one talked to us. I went up and asked the hostess for some high chairs after about 10 minutes and she never brought them. I then had to go ask after 25 minutes if we were going to be helped because not a single staff member spoke to us in 25 minutes. The waitress finally came to our table and was actually so annoyed that we were ready to order our meals and not just our drinks. After we ordered, we waited an HOUR AND 20 MINUTES for our food. The waitress never once apologized for the wait. When she finally brought our food it was cold. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for cold food. We complained to the manager and he did give us a very nice discount for the trouble but even after that the waitress came back and said it s too bad you guys came in after such that birthday party as if that was a good excuse for the horrible service. My friend notified the waitress it was also my birthday and she said well hope you have some treats at home. And walked away. I have never experienced such poor service in my life. Save yourself the trouble and don t even bother eating here.
