Our first time in and will now be one of our favorite places! It gives a small hidden gem vibe. Plenty of parking, clean atmosphere and the friendliest staff from the moment you walk in. Our waitress Leslie was just beautiful and awesome. Got the order right and fast. We had mozzarella sticks and fried oysters to start. They were seasoned very well hot and fresh. For dinner we had the fried catfish basket, Cobb salad and fried shrimp basket with corn on the Cobb. Everything was so good and great portions, we had to take home food. The mango lemonade was also very refreshing. I was very impressed and will be back.

This place was pretty great for being near a gas station. This is the second place near by that surprised me. The oysters were great and they gave me plenty of crackers unlike other places but the Tabasco sauce tasted a lil watery. The fish was cooked nice and moist but the shrimp was overcooked and super dry. The hush puppies had more moisture. Im thinking this is a one off and I would definitely try this place again. The atmosphere was good and worth it to take a date but its a tad on the small side so if it looks like tons of cars are outside you may want to wait unless you want to sit at the bar.

Order the crab boiled 1/2 pound crab legs with sausage and the catfish tacos. The fish taco were not good they had absolutely no taste and tasted like saw dust. The crab was one cluster and the 2nd cluster has I leg and a claw. The flavor was just ok but the sauce was very thick and was just running off the food. And than the Flys came out to tell us it time to go. We complained to the manager and told him the fish did tatste good and in his wors I tasted them morning and it was good. Mqde no comindation My first and last time I will never go back there.

I ordered the sea food bag it had absolutely no flavor. I left feeling more hungry than when I showed up. And the crab was overcooked, and the crawfish was undercooked. I ended up having food poisoning. The waiter brought the wrong drinks and only checked on us once our entire visit plus there are no prices on the menu for the bags so we got our bill. My husband spent about 20 bucks and our bill came out to 150 and I thought dessert might make it better, but I asked him for a dessert that was in front of me and it took him 10 minutes to get it for me after sitting on the side next to me talking to the other waiters gossiping then he finally got it on the table and told me that I could take it to go. I felt extremely disrespected, And a group of them stood near our table and was gossiping and talking and laughing the whole time there was also barely anything in this bag and I got the biggest bag option

The food was absolutely horrible. I havent been here in years and decided to stop by since I normally go to hook n reel. The crab boil was extremely salty. It was supposed to be spicy but the only thing I could taste was straight salt. I couldnt even finish my food. Idk what happened to this place but when they first opened years ago they were really good. I will never go back here.

First time here....I had the California tacos, with grilled shrimp....it was 3 shrimp on a cold tortilla, filled with coleslaw and pico de gallo....thats it. My husband had the catfish basket, which he said was excellent!! The staff was very friendly and took care of us.

About 2 years ago this place was banging good Food , Good drinks, and a cool vibe. Now it s trash. Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. The waiter watched us sit down and still took forever to greet us. The shrimp boil bag I received was dog food. 2 small potatoes the side of Little Rocks. No seasoning didn t taste like lemon and Cajun at all. The base was very oily. It didn t taste fresh I won t ever go back. Plus our waiter didn t really show any interest in us like we weren t customers. My wife and I are both former waiters we ve moved on with better careers but, we still know the ins and outs of how service is supposed to be and we always leave a generous tip when taken care of.

I ordered catfish shrimp combo my food was dark but not burnt. My whole order was cooked in old grease ,after eating one shrimp which left a bad taste in my mouth I talk to the waitress which in turn spoke with manger he never over came to apologize nor hear the concern of the cooks not straining nor changing their grease after so many days of using it.I sent my order back the waitress asked if I wanted something else and I told her no.people who cook know if the grease is to hot or old it darken your food on the outside and and it won t be all the way done on the inside. There music was so loud you couldn t hear yourself talk.I regret that I sent it back before I took a photo to post

I recently made a purchase of seafood, and unfortunately, the order did not meet my expectations. I ordered half a pound of crawfish and received only 5 small crawfish. Similarly, I ordered half a pound of crab and received only 1 cluster, and half a pound of shrimp only yielded 8 pieces. Additionally, the oysters were not fresh and were inedible. I feel that the quality of the food did not match the price I paid.

I had high hopes, but I wont be returning. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo for takeout. When I arrived, the hostess informed me they were still waiting on the fish. I thought, No biggie, but unfortunately, it was! When I got home, I found overcooked, leftover shrimp, soggy fries, and stale Texas toast. It was a real letdown. In hindsight, I should have taken a cue from the couple who walked in while I was waiting and left without ordering. Disappointing experience overall! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Irving was our waiter and he was fast, attentive and polite. Very good food, we had the Cajun special and it was on our table within 15 minutes of ordering. It was a lot of food and that gave us plenty of time to have drinks and talk. Once the food hit the table there was hardly any talking. Green muscles and crawfish was fantastic! Will be back!

I love a good snow crab and shrimp boil in a bag. But this one wasnt as good others Ive had. The sauce was thick like gravy but the food still want seasoned well. I felt like I bend to add salt to get flavor. I got the Cajun, but it didnt taste like Cajun to me. Crab and shrimp were nice size. I was seated by the window and also had an issue with flies.

I have visited Cajun Crab & Shrimp Bar a few times and always have a great experience. My wifes preferred Snow Crap and Shrimp restaurant. The staff is beyond friendly, I feel Im eating with family in every visit. Come and enjoy different signature plates and appetizers, you wont be disappointed.

Ive been there plenty of times Cause my son loves that place and my Friend works there. The food sometimes is good. Sometimes its not so good over price The people they work there.. Theyre not friendly at all to each other. One of my friends who works there. She owe me some money. So she got her tips. Altogether And shes Change them. for 2 large bills i went to the bank and deposit the $100 Dollars that she gave me It was fake. The bank call me. Told meThat they were going to turn into the police. They asked me. Where that I got it. I told them. Then I call my friend. Explain to her When she was still working. So she told one of the owners. And the manager that doesnt know how to do anything the owner said I want to see proof of the bank receive. So when she got off from work, she came And pick. The bank received. The owner told her. she said I will give you $100 back. When she showed her the proof. The owner said oh no, the bank will send you a letter and then when they send you the letter, then maybe I will give you money back. So be careful Whenever you pay with cash The owner asked my friend saying the has never happened before. the owner thinks that Im lying. I also owned a business for 10 years. Here in Salado You treat others with respect. this is for owners Remember, always be humble and kind The customers Or the ones who make your business be successful or not.They also are the ones who can break us and our business! Also, you can keep your fake $100. Maybe you need them more than me!

Luv it but place is small from outside. Great environment enjoyed sittin inside this time. Normally I would take food to go. Recieved food in good timing. Small bar inside w lots of different drinks. Was comfortable w eating we got a booth. They have small tables and big ones. I was super impressed. Manager was visible at all times. Fish was moist seafood was moist and delicious. Being a lenten Friday we were looking for seafood. Red Lobster was out of the question as they have gone downhill. Hook And Reel had a two hour wait no thanks. I googled seafood and this place was on the list. I decided, hey let s try the restaurant we always pass on our way to HEB . So we arrive about 7:30pm. There is a bit of a wait. Andy takes my name and number and tells me he will call when a table is ready. He originally said 25 minutes but it was less than that he called saying our table was ready. Looked like a quaint but lively place. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Even though it was very busy they were doing well accommodating everyone! We are greeted, seated and our orders are taken. I order a shrimp basket and hubby ordered the fish and shrimp basket. My husband asked me about an appetizer but I declined. I originally thought to order extra shrimp or a salad. Well our baskets came out and I am SOOOOO thankful I didn t order anything extra. This basket was packed full of goodness! It was a big portion. It was an eight piece fried shrimp meal. I can plow through shrimp and figured eight pieces were not going to fill me up. I was dead wrong. These shrimp were huge and meaty!! They tasted clean, not fishy and the breading was just right. Some places you get mostly breading and the shrimp is bare to none. This place is NOT the case. These were like little filets of deliciousness! I had some Jambalaya rice with the accompanying hushpuppies and garlic bread. Perfection! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his catfish as well. It was meaty (no bones) and not greasy at all. This is a new goto place for us. All this time we drove past this place! Now I know what I was missing! So happy we gave it a chance. It was money well spent! Good to leave a place feeling satisfied and happy. So hear is to great food and service! Thank you also to the manager, Andy. He was hustling and bustling taking care of customers, tables and checking on the servers and kitchen area. Our server was great as well! We were checked on several times to make sure everything was ok with our food. Great time! Definitely not a secret with how busy it was. Thanks for making our Friday night!!! Got more than expected here. The food was good quality, great taste. Combos are reasonably priced, and good variety and the menu really does make sense. Food can be delicious all day. But if u dont feel like ur welcome there. Then whats the point of dining in. Whats the purpose of running a business when ur staff has no customer edicate. No professionalism. Plz go on youtube and search customer courtesy. About how to treat customers even when u having a bad day. Practice ,practice, practice ur craft. Worst crawfish Ive ever had, hands down. I really wish they indicated on the menu that they are using prefrozen crawfish. Went at the end of crawfish season when live crawfish is available everywhere around here so was really shocked. If you like crawfish boils you know. They were inedible. Everything else was delicious. They do a gravy style sauce with their seafood boils thats a little unusual and heavy handed imo for a seafood boil but the flavor is good. Thankfully they took the crawfish off of our bill. Ill be back and simply stay away from the crawfish.

The atmosphere was nice and cozy ,which is a shame considering how the food came out. The crawfish was meat was grey and off tasting. The crab had a strong smell and taste of ammonia. My fiance and I were unable to finish our meals because of the poor quality of meats. 1 out of 5 is generous considering the meat had obvious signs of time and temperature abuse. Poor experience will not be returning. The waiting staff was friendly enough though .

So hubby and I rolled up here after coming from Austin. We decided to eat at the Cajun Crab & Shrimp Bar-and-Grill because we havent been there before. So we walked in the atmosphere was very beach like or eating on the pier. It was awesome they play a mix of eighties and Mexican music while you wait. As the end spot in a strip mall, from the outside, the place looks a little sketchy. Once you continue through the doors, it does feel a bit like a dive bar. But once we were greeted by our waitress, all doubts went away. She was an exceptionally friendly and bright young lady. She took our order with no pen and pad, all the while bantering back and forth with our party. The repeated the order back flawlessly. When the food began to come out quickly, we soon discovered the it was amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Try the mixed seafood ceviche.

Place was crowded, but we know that means people love it. Even with every table full, it wasnt hard to hear my dinner companion at all. Food was amazing. We got the Louisiana level of spice and it was perfect . Halfway through our meal we decided to add to the tray and there was no issue with that at all. Our wait staff was amazing and answered all of our questions and made recommendations when we were uncertain. Would definitely recommend.

I got the #4 combo, fried oysters and the New Orleans hurricane to drink. The seafood was mildly seasoned for the Louisiana seasoning. It s more like red water in a bag. I asked for extra obay seasoning i could sprinkle on the top as you see in the picture. The smoked sausages have the taste consistency of a hotdog and not a sausage. The drink was okay, i barley tasted any liquor. It was DECENT overall.

Crab was decent. Crawfish were grey and inedible. They tasted soooo olddd and were small. Got the Louisiana spice. Was decent, but no spice whatsoever. The sausage in the gumbo is straight up hotdogs. The only reason for the second star is because the service was great! Waitstaff were attentive and kind, and very helpful. I should have asked what the market price was before ordering, because $13/lb for crawfish is just obscene. Especially since I was in podunk Harker Heights. I was expecting cheaper and better and got pricier and worse :(((

This place usually never disappoints me but today s boil was a complete miss. I ordered a combo #4. Only thing that was eatable was the crab legs and the corn. First I arrived and was told they didn t have my order, then they found my order and I had to wait an extra 20 mins; which was no problem, I get it stuff happens. The potatoes did not taste or feel fully done as they usually are. Shrimp had no flavor, just bland. All in all, it was the worst combo I ve gotten from here ever. And this is the only place I order my crab boils from and they re usually 5 stars. Not sure if my order was rushed since it was an issue with them receiving my order initially or what, but I definitely feel cheated out of my money for the quality of item I received. I couldn t even finish it, it just was not good.

Ordered online at 1 pm to give enough time to be ready at 4:30. It was scheduled that way in preparation of a party. Got there 4:30 only to find out there system takes the money, but doesnt pass on the order. We had to reorder at the casheirs, which put us behind time wise! Then we found out the order we placed (blackened fish) was not available. The cashier said because of the inconvenience we could get the blackened fish. After additional waiting the order came out and we left. The next mistake we made was not verifying the order was correct. After waiting more time than planned, supposedly not having the items originally ordered, and being told we can have items ordered, still no blackened fish!! Just my opinion. Have something online that alerts people its not working. Another option, have a statement or something to inform individuals to call versus online ordering. For some people time is of the essence. Plans or schedules are effected from these type of misinformed data. Lets get this taken care of.

Worst place ever! I received plastic in my food and all of the crawfish was bad! Complete mush and had a weird smell. I called and they said they would replace it. I then drove up to the store and got another order except when I got home it was the same!all of the crawfish were mushy and the same crawfish that I had before. So much money down the drain.

Love this place. Go every chance I get extra cash and it gets better every time! I have Kat the bar tender wait on me every time. The 1 problem I had was with the kukarachas plate they cook the shrimp with the shell on but they are so good. Just wish they could make them without the shell on.

I love love love this place. I only gave it 4 stars because the space in the facility is limited and its pricy. With that said the cajun food is amazing. It is so good. I have had the seafood boils (lemon pepper & cajun spice are my favorite), raw oysters, gumbo, chicken tenders, and so many other things. NEVER disappointed. Their drinks are to die for. I have never had more than one and always leave feeling just right. Try them out but take a little money. Love it

Not bad but not that great. We stopped by for oysters and the werent salty or that fresh. It wasnt busy so Im not sure why we werent tended to in a timely manner. The staff interaction with themselves was way more than with the customers.
