Authentic, family-style classic Mexican restaurant. Alfonso was my server and was very friendly and attentive with excellent recommendations. The carne asada was one of the best I ve ever had, with the flame-grilled flavor very apparent in each bite. 10/10 would recommend, do not go to any other Mexican place in Grapevine.

Los Amigos is a little hole in the wall right by main street in Grapevine, Tx. The restaurant used to be painted bright yellow but now the bricks are painted white, so dont miss it. My husband and I have eaten here many times. The service is always excellent with the wait staff being kind and attentive to our needs they always come by to check if you need anything and keep the glasses full. We always get the Tex Mex Cheese Enchiladas. They bring out bean soup, hot salsa and chips before your meal. The bean soup is very good, the chips are very good and the salsa is good. There is always music in the background and if you enjoy sports, there are a couple of TVs playing sports.

Disgusting. It used to be good but we weren t there today and all 3 of us thought it was gross and 2 of us aren t picky eaters. The server didn t come by for about 15 minutes. At that point we said we wanted the check and that we thought it was awful (none of us ate more than 1-2 bites). He didn t apologize or anything and just brought our check with nothing taken off.

The food was good but the service was terrible. The entire time we were there, it was a rushed, what do you want? Kinda experience. It was an hour and a half before close and we were the only customers there, so they werent busy. There were several tables left dirty, and our server was on her phone the entire time (wouldnt matter of she had actually been polite or attentive). Not sure why this had the highest ratings in the area.

You know its gonna be rough when the girl couldnt get the order right. Even after repeating it multiple times... still wrong. Seriously, canned cheese wiz on a Chili Relleno. Order a Chicken Flauta and no sour cream or guacamole, just a stack of lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

Very cozy atmosphere and absolutely delicious food!! We previously tried the restaurant Mesa in grapevine as were here for a dance competition, and were severely disappointed so we decided to come here instead and omggg the food was DELICIOUS!!! My super picky sister even ate, tried new foods, and liked them! 10/10 restaurant and great staff :) Dietary restrictions: Has vegetarian options! Kid-friendliness: Has a kid meal :)

Went to Los Amigos (down the street from Great Wolf Lodge) for dinner with my wife, our toddler, and our baby. Food was amazing, generous portions, and authentic Tex-Mex taste. Service was fantastic - waitress was friendly to our baby and super responsive without being a bother. They dont have a liquor license, so you can get a free margarita or beer with any meal purchase - and the frozen margarita was awesome! If youre looking for great Tex-Mex at a very far price, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend, would visit again for sure!

The restaurant wasnt busy when we arrived. The staff greeted us kindly. The chips and salsa were good. The charro beans were my favorite. My husband had the lunch portion of chicken fajitas. It was a lot of food! I had the enchiladas verdes with chicken. Both dishes tasted good. My husband loved the refried beans. I wish the rice had a bit more flavor. I would recommend eating here.

Why did I not try this place sooner? Stopped by in a whim to try it out. Menu looked good, saw several choices I wanted to try. Looked up and saw the street tacos board and instantly made my decision. Barbacoa street tacos!!! Choice of 3 with rice and beans or 5 on the plate. Who needs rice and beans when you can get two more tacos??? Wow, these 5 tacos hit the spot, they were great! The chips and salsa were good as well, had to get a refill on the salsa, I scoop, not dip. The Acapulco combo dinner was good too, my guest loved it. We ll definitely be back!

Be careful when ordering online /pickup, They might not receive the order and will not refund your payment learned that today, showed then my confirmation text and pending debt and I received a shrug and a repeat of we didnt receive your order According to my bank you received my payment. UPDATE: The owner called me 3 days after my ordering incident Stating that he investigated the situation further and he team running his website verified they could see my order and payment but didnt know why it didnt drop toi the restaurant. He was very apologetic and told me he had the web team refund my charge then offered the meal on the house whenever I wanted. I thanked him and said I understand that technical things happen sometimes and the refund was plenty. No need for a free meal and we would be in for dinner soon They are my favorite Mexican restaurant so going back is a no brainer

I have been coming here since I was a kid and every time I come back to Grapevine, Los Amigos is my first (and second, and third) stop :) It is my favorite restaurant on the planet!!!! So delicious! Highly recommend the flautas (make sure you get the cheese sauce for dipping) and my absolute favorite, the breakfast quesadillas on saturday and sunday. A friend and I stopped for a late dinner and failed to realize it was close to closing time. The person that half a** greeted us was not friendly. After seating us, came the waitress, which she was pleasant. She took our order and for an appetizer I ordered queso flameado, which is one of many staple dishes in Mexico, which was very greasy. We ordered a chicken burrito with green sauce and Chile Relleno of ground beef with cheese. She asked what topping and I ve never had that asked, so I said sour cream. The results were not appealing to the eye. We tried the dishes, and as they looked, it s how it tasted, bland. Rice was not flavorful, meat sauce was dripping with grease, and the refried beans were can beans. Only item we seemed to have enjoyed were the charro beans. I will not be returning to this place, it s not authentic as the sign portrays outside. This is definitely Tex-Mex 2nd grade level, in my opinion. I lived in Mexico for 4 years, so I actually do know the taste of comida mexicana auetentica

Very poor food. In the menu it says cactus is an ingredient for Fajitas, but they won t add it in the food. When pointed out they will bring boiled cactus on the side. The beans has beef in it, they will change the vegetarian fajita order to remove beans and add extra rice to make up without telling you. Very deceitful and also customer service if not good at all. Save your money go somewhere else. Vegetarian options: The beans has beef in it and they will change your order and give you double rice to make up for the beans.

I remember really liking this on my first visit 4 years ago. This time the service was great but the food quality was just not there. To start, the free bean soup provided was completely without flavor, the salsa has gotten a little heavy with cilantro for my taste and the chips were like the crumbled remainder at the end of a bag. The queso blanco was also bland and tasted canned. The beans and rice on my dinner were unremarkable and the chili con carne on top of the tamales had a flavor I cant place, as if its also store bought now.

The service and restaurant itself were great. The food was awful. Queso tasted like canned soup. Barbacoa was bland. The house salsa was the best part of our meal.

A hidden gem of Grapevine. Youd never know how great the food is inside the restaurant if you were only driving by and judging by the exterior facade. Great service and great food with generous portions and decent prices. Skip the frilly upscale Mexican restaurants and make this your new favorite place.

Unbeknownst to us, our group arrived at the restaurant 5 to 10 minutes before they closed. Understandably, we received less than average service, and at times, our waiter even seemed rude. On top of that, the food was very mediocre, and several people in our group could only have a few bites of their meal because they disliked it. We would have been happy to leave when we realized the time, but they didnt tell us they were closing until half of our group had already ordered. When we asked if we should leave, they told us to stay. It was a very disappointing visit.

Ive been coming here for close to 20 years! Raised in Grapevine, we would come weekly. The owners & staff really make you feel at home here. I now reside in Collin county and any time I am in the area we have to stop at Los Amigos to grab a bite! No where in my area compares to the quality we get here.

Food was okay, but not amazing. I ordered a beef fajita taco (crispy, a la carte) and a chicken enchilada with Ranchero sauce (also a la carte). The beef fajita taco was okay, but pretty plain with meat and grilled onions only in a store-bought shell that cracked into tiny pieces with each bite. The meat was tender but not really seasoned, so salsa on top helped. The chicken enchilada had the taste and texture of canned chicken, also not very flavorful. Our granddaughter ordered a beef burrito kids meal and the burrito wasnt anything that could be picked up and eaten. It was served with refried beans up against it so soggy and had to be eaten with a fork. We asked for a burrito-size tortilla (extra) so we could wrap it better and were given a fajita taco tortilla that didnt really enable her burrito to be wrapped up. She ended up eating my husbands taco .
