I ve been coming to this little coffee shop since I moved into town a little over a year ago. It s my go-to place for homework, meet up with friends, or if I m just going downtown- I ve always got to stop in. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere super relaxed. They have great options for dietary restrictions, including gluten free! They even make their own syrups for their coffees and they taste amazing without just tasting like straight sugar. Awesome find if you have the time to check it out!

It started innocently enough I just ordered a matcha like the cool kids do. Then the barista suggested we get serious and enhance things with their homemade lavender syrup. I guess he works here because he knows what he s talking about. Now I m facing restless nights, wide awake and wondering when me and this particular beverage will have a chance meeting again.

Lets talk about Brew and Batter, folks. For a start, theyve ruined coffee for me...I am not sure if I will ever order an iced latte again and be satisfied after tasting what these gentlemen served up during my visit this morning. And the breakfast waffle has outdone breakfast of any variety as far as Im concerned. I guess what was a quick layover stop has become a destination. Lucky you, Grapevine.

Read the reviews all seemed pretty positive so gave it a try. My thoughts not as positive as the reviews, a High Priced, self service restaurant with good waffles but a very minimal menu outside of the waffles and coffee. Also not exactly the cleanest of places. Just not my jam.

Food comes out piecemeal so one person is done eating before the last even gets their food. The churro waffle is super stodgey and the berry one is very, very thin. The coffee was extremely sour and we barely drank it except we needed something to wash the waffles down with. 100% do not recommend for families.

The 2 girls working there were very kind, knowledgeable, and had fantastic customer service. That alone, will make me come back. A plus, it s in a cute old home that s been changed- cute for a meet up, doing some work, or reading. Will be back!

I do not like writing negative reviews, but it took over an hour to get our food and the staff seemed annoyed when we checked in on our food that we were waiting on. When we complained they questioned us like we were trying to get free food out of them. We finally got it an hour fifteen later, after asking about it four times. The food was quite good once we got it, but I can t recommend them due to customer service.

We were extremely fortunate enough to visit this AMAZING (newly family owned) Coffee & Waffle Shop! The savory waffle that I believe is made of corn bread/meal with the easy over egg, cheese & flavourful Jalapeño aoli sauce which is not hot, was Astounding! They also have breakfast burritos, sweet Waffles with cinnamon & sugar like a churro... too much to list! Wonderful, Clean & Friendly Atmosphere! We are from out of town & will definitely be back! Have not found its equal from CA to anywhere else in TX! Do yourself a favor... if you like Good specialty Coffee & want the BEST WAFFLES EVER! GO!!! Have Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch & then take some home! Nowhere else like this anywhere! Thank you, Chris! (Proprietor) Thank you Caleb (Chef)! We had an AMAZING time! We will return! Kima & Glen Cain Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available Kid-friendliness: Perfectly fine for youngsters. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on the side for wheelchair access.

Living true to their logo of because batter matters, their vegan waffles were sweet and packed with flavor. The portion appears small, but I was satisfied by the time I finished. I ordered the peanut butter and banana, and they did not hold out on either. I also ordered an iced rose latte with oat milk. The oat milk was just a $0.75 upcharge. The building itself is small but quaint. There arent too many tables and I ended up sitting on one of the couches to eat. Vegetarian options: Vegan waffles

The coffee was great - inventive seasonal cocktails, and excellent cold brew. The owner was friendly and well-informed, and on top of that, it was a cozy place to get a little work done. I got a matcha latte because they were out of chai and never restocked. Matcha was very milky even though I added a pump of vanilla. Also the price is a bit pricey for the amount of drink that you end up getting. Also the shop is really small so it ended up being super crammed during peak business hours. However there is a quiet room if you are going there to work or read and need a place to focus. There is also an unnecessary amount of signage telling the customers to not spill on the merchandise or else they must buy it. I am pretty sure no one is going to purposely do that. In terms of service, it took about 10-15 minutes to get my drink when there was only 2 people ahead of me and two workers. Overall a mid service, drink, and atmosphere.

Been waiting a while to come here, so glad I finally got to. Cozy little coffee shop, loved by locals. Waffles were amazing, having an option of breakfast tacos until they sell out is also nice for more protein. My drink was awesome. Cortada with a peppermint rimmed glass. Delicious! My plus one got an iced mocha half sweet which was also excellent. Outdoor seating was very cute and perfect for good weather days. They were also setting up for live music which was a nice touch. Can t wait to return for a lazy afternoon or early morning coffee. The wait is a little bit longer, but it is a mom and pop operation and everything is made from scratch and by hand. Highly recommend!

This is such a cozy place that we should have eaten in, but we ordered to go so we could get back to the water park. Next time we re in town, we will savor our food and order coffees at this location. The vegan waffle was the best vegan waffle I have ever experienced and I can t explain how grateful I am for the ultimate vegan waffle. In addition to being perfectly crispy outside and just the right tender but toothsome inside, it was tasty by itself and came with real maple syrup. I saw at the cafe that drinks are made with oat milk, so if I had ordered coffee it could have been dairy-free - I will be back for perfect waffles and coffee without dairy cross contamination just as soon as I m in Grapevine again. Dietary restrictions: I have a dairy allergy, so vegan is my safe order when away from home. Waffles were not only safe, but worth the trip whether you have dietary restrictions or not.

Terrible experience and won t be back. After walking in, the two ladies behind the counter were immediately rude since it was our first time and didn t already know what we wanted to order. Then while waiting, we decided to wait outside since we have young kids and the ladies looked very annoyed that we had them inside. My kids were playing in the rocks outside and sat some on the table. I always clean our space and leave it the way we found it, so I let them enjoy themselves. They have tiny hands so tiny amount of rocks. The lady brought out the waffles and scolded my kids and me for them playing and told them to not put rocks on the table. I said I understood and was going to ensure it was clean. (I did in fact clean it better than it was when we sat down). She gave me a very nasty look and walked off. These ladies obviously don t care for families and young kids. I would have left it at that, but then we tried the waffles and they are the worst waffles we have ever had. Overly dry, hard and bland. Even my kids, who will eat anything covered in fruit and sugar, wouldn t touch them. My coffee had a very metallic and weird, nasty aftertaste. I threw everything away and left. We are grapevine locals and will never be back. Stick to Redefined. Redefined is friendly, welcoming and delicious.

Food and coffee are both fine. You know what youre getting when you come to a place like this. Very inflexible though. I just wanted a normal waffle with peanut butter. If you re looking to for a quiet place to study or great food and service this is not the place. The tables constantly wobble. The Quiet Room is everything, but quiet. There s two pairs of people talking constantly and loud. The couple eating is smacking so loud. Even if the people weren t here the Quiet Room door is always open so you hear EVERYTHING going on. The coffee tastes like some old instant coffee maker from the early 2000s. The food tastes like the cooks made it without trying it first, the food is bland and lacks seasoning and flavor.

Brew and Batter was a delicious alternative to the traditional Waffle House experience! Their selection of waffles made with oat milk and gluten free was a healthy change to the original. Their coffee made with oat milk (latte) was also delicious. Not a lot of indoor seating, but great for families If you don t mind sitting outside. Highly recommend!

Today was my first experience it was just okay. I had the peaches and cream waffle and the waffle was very dense and undercooked. I showed up about 15 mins after opening so maybe their iron wasn t fully hot, but they should know what it looks like, or at least checked on me. I don t know if I ll give them another chance. Still undecided.

The ambiance was nice and the single staff was super sweet. I ordered a cortado and a drip coffee both of which were good. I appreciate that they don t charge an arm and a leg. Stay cool brew and batter and keep up the good work!

The shop was cute on the outside but it was extremely dirty inside. Theres a buildup of everything around the rug edges by the couch. Crusted stains on the walls, it looked like someone had spilled coffee on the walls and it never got cleaned. The bathroom had stains on the walls. The couch and the chairs had stains on the cushions. The buildup around the rug is what I couldnt get over. Im sad that it hasnt been kept up for a while.

Such a cute little location. It seems like a perfect place if you dont want to work from home. They have fantastic coffee and the pancakes were good. It was our first time and we didnt know what size the pancakes were going to be, so we did the trio and it was way too much. The vegan pancakes were yummy and perfect size. I got the dirty horchata latte and my friend hot the gingerbread latte. It was delicious. He did say that one of the pancakes were a little dry despite all the syrup. My partner ordered a chai tea latte that ended up being super sweet. She asked if another one could be made that was less sweet and they said their drink is made from a syrup and couldn t make it less sweet. Rather than offering a different drink to replace it, she was charged for a drip coffee. $5 for a chia and $2.50 for a drip, about $8 OTD for a drink that wasn t drank.

There was also a Quiet Room and a quiet study area. The glasses were cute and the straws were made of metal. The coffee beans are said to be White Rock. They seem to be famous for their waffles, so I went for the seasonal peach waffle The waffle was freshly made and crispy, and it went well with the ice cream and peach and was delicious!

Its a cute place with some inviting, some less inviting folks behind the bar. The beverage options arent anything to write home about, but also dont make you want to spit them out. Not the best seating options, but it is what it is. I suppose what Im getting at is that it just skews a little middle of the road, for me personally. Lastly: They dont offer almond milk because of the amount of water it takes to make almond milk. Pick-and-choose altruism coming from a coffeeshop....selling beverages that literally cant be made..... without water. No hate, but if they cared so much about water consumption and use...why would they start a business almost entirely dependent on water (coffeeshop), with so many coffeeshops already in the area?
