When you live in DFW, the options for BBQ are plenteous...that allows you to be a little picky, but perhaps even unfair. So, I do not want to too harshly rate this place because the service was incredible and I really only had brisket to go by...but it was simply not good. I hope to return and try something other than brisket to give them a better chance.

The food was good. We had 2 rib plates. One with fries and cream corn, and the other with jalapeño bacon mac & cheese. It was banging. The sauce was less than saucy for me. I expected a bigger flavor with a little kick, but overall, it was good. Now, if you are looking for a good southern dessert to top you off, the banana pudding aint it unless you really just want banana flavored pudding. The dessert was my reasoning for a 4, and I would do 4.5, but it wasnt a choice. We enjoyed our 1st time, and if or when were in Texas again, well be back for sure! Oh, and I loved that my cup was a souvenir to take home!

This was our (dad, bro and I) first meal on a recent weekend Texas trip (planned the whole trip around the Cowboys game on sunday as my dad is a huge fan). We had researched on Google Reviews as well as Yelp to see where the good bbq was. This resto scored highly on both platforms and also happened to be 20 min away from our hotel so we figured it was worth the trek. We told the guy at the register that it was our first time and we wanted to try a lil bit of everything. He got us a platter which included a bunch of assorted meats at which point, I asked him if he had any beef ribs left. He proceeded to show the 3 of us one of the biggest dinosaur bones Ive seen in my life. We also grabbed a banana pudding from the fridge and got some mac n cheese on the side as well. The food was delicious! We did find some of the meats to be a lil on the salty side and we also had our own top 3. For me the top 3 out of the the meats we tried were: 1. the beef rib: this thing had the craziest bark but was so tender that my plastic knife was cutting through it like butter with no other utensil required 2. prime rib: medium rare and super juicy 3. pork ribs: even though they had gotten a lil cold, the meat still tore off the bones cleanly with each bite (I know texans dont usually put sauce on their pork ribs but thats how I like mine so I doused my ribs in the tableside bbq sauce; it was on the runny side and was too peppery) A lot of folks have been raving about the brisket in multi-platform reviews but if Im being honest, the fatty brisket we requested didnt really wow us. We may have gotten a poor batch out of many (which happens). While the meat did pull apart with a fork, it was slightly dry which was unfortunate. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was a good amount of spicy for me (but not for my dining companions) however, they were a tad too salty imo. Turkey was actually a sleeper hit! Still moist but a lil cold. The mac n cheese was NOT our cup of tea lol. They used ziti or penne shells which is fine, but the problem is how incredibly overcooked the pasta was. It was basically mush (echoing what a couple other recent reviewers have said). All in all it was a great experience! This place certainly lived up to the hype. The menu is pretty huge so ofc we didnt get to try everything we wanted to. Im definitely curious about the chicken and pulled pork. On a return visit, I know what items to skip now (sausage, mac n cheese). Beef Rib is a *MUST ORDER* (consensus #1 rank by us). Banana pudding was quite generic tasting. I did enjoy the wafers adding texture to each bite (kinda wished they put some more in the cup). Side note: The beef rib was like $70 USD which was basically price-equivalent to the platter of meats we got. After searching online, it does seem like $50 is more of a fair market price so it looks like we got upcharged. I will say though, that the beef rib was better than anything else we had by a mile.

I checked this place out for the second time to double-check and see if the brisket had a more flavor and actually had a little bit of moisture in it. For the second time in a row that is some of the most bland and dry brisket Ive ever had out here in Texas. I brought my friend with me, he agreed. The pork ribs are amazingz and everything else seems to be good but man they really need to work on their brisket.

The $15 Monday special is the best way to go. It is a sampling of German sausage, jalapeno and cheese sausage, one single rib with rib meat, brisket, mac and cheese with bacon and jalapeno, and a roll with pickles and jalapenos all in a circular foil tin. Drink not included. Overall, the German sausage was excellent, the rib was a dry rub rib but close to falling off the bone, and my least favorite was the brisket. The brisket was a little tough and did not fall apart when pulled with a fork. It required cutting with plastic ware and it didnt go great. We will be back. Parking: Small parking lot so when they are crowded it might be a problem.

This buildind looks like someone just plucked it right out of the South! A brick structure with a beautiful southern charm. The theme carried inside with hot sauce and a roll of paper towels on each table. When you enter the restaurant, your nose is greeted with the awesome smells of barbecued meats. The sounds of meats being chopped, cut and served deli style. Its an unforgettable sensory experience! The Big guy behind the counter offered me samples to help me make up my mind about the delightful taste experience I was about to enjoy. I chose the Brisket and the hot sausage. I was shaking my head in disbelief at how tender and flavorful the meats were. I really did not need to add any sauce to improve the flavors. They were cooked and seasoned just right! While I was enjoying this Southern delight, the big guy walked over with a pork rib, set it down and said, try this! On the house, I might add! I also enjoyed their Mac n Cheese. You have never had this before! Do not miss a chance to enjoy this place if you are near Irving, Texas, you will walk away with a BIG Southern grin on your face!

After a long morning at my granddaughters wedding and photo shoot in Dallas, Texas, we found ourselves feeling hungry for lunch. Eventually, we came across Meet U Anywhere a Texan-style Barbeque with great big outdoor smokers filling the parking lot with amazing barbeque fragrances as we walked inside. I ordered hot links with jalapeño and cheese, smoky pork ribs, and country-style potato salad. My lovely wife ordered the brisket with pork ribs as she is a big fan of Texan brisket. The atmosphere is so authentic Texan Large brick building with beautifully stained wood, wood framed windows, and large wood beams with lights accented the dining area; a picturesque truly welcoming vibe. They even had a large stainless steel washing sink with a mirror for clean-up after you eat; especially for those yuppies wanting to make sure no barbeque sauce was hiding in their faces or beards, and on their clothing. Our family likes to share food and we try to order different entrees to share. Hands down the hot-links were the favorite meat on the table, my wife, both of my daughters, and my son-in-law helped eat the half-pound portion I had ordered. I had to smother my pork ribs with St Louis barbeque sauce as they were a bit dry, and my country-style potato salad had a large amount of dill pickles just the way I liked them. My daughter and son-in-law ordered a half chicken it must have been a double-sized chicken as they could not finish eating it. We enjoyed the chicken, but both the ribs and brisket, we all agreed to be too dry.

I know BBQ in Texas is expensive, but this food wasnt worth their prices. I ordered their Monday Special platter to share with my partner. We do not eat a ton of food and we thought it would fill us up. The portions were extremely small (1 small scoop of mac & cheese, 2 ribs with no meat on them, 1 slice of brisket, etc.). We had to get fast food directly after eating here because we were still hungry. They charge $30 for a pound of brisket that doesnt taste very good. The food wasnt awful, but for those prices the food should be a lot better. Also, Meat U Anywhere is more like Meat U On The Toilet. We have been having stomach / bathroom issues ever since eating here. I will not be back. They need to lower their prices and season their brisket more. I could name so many other BBQ spots nearby that are 10x better.

When we got back to the office only to find out that they had somehow forgotten the turkey (my favorite!). I called back and spoke with Adam. He had the best attitude about this. He personally delivered the missing turkey along with dessert to the office over 10 miles away during his busiest time! We appreciate him and the way they treated people. We will go back!

I came here because it had 4.6 star and Google recommended it to me. I was indeed unimpressed and disappointed and this wasnt what I expected the food to taste like especially because this is in Texas. Ordered the Rib combo with Mac N Cheese. The meat was so plain with no type of seasoning on it. Very bland and distasteful. The meat fell of the bone but no flavor. Tried to drench it in bbq sauce but that didnt help. The sauce didnt taste like bbq sauce and it was just watery. Mac N cheese was runny and gross. No cheese in sight, just taste like I was eating pasta if that gives you a vivid imagination of what it tastes like. The workers were clueless about what actually is on the menu. The fries were questionable because they sat on a rack, where many flies could potentially lay their eggs on the fries before they got dumped in the grease. I was disgusted by the experience. The atmosphere of this place is similar to that of a pigsty and frat boyish. And even now my stomach hurts from eating those ribs. Just not what I was expecting because it had 4.6 stars. The store should actually be like 1 or 2 stars at most and thats just being generous of me. Based on that one time experience alone I wouldn t eat here again.

Stopped on our way back to OK from Chris Stapleton concert - the meats were good. Got ribs, Jalapeño cheddar sausage, smoked turkey, coleslaw, and potato salad. Ribs were tender, juicy, and had a nice bark/flavor. Turkey was tender and tasted great. Coleslaw and Potato salad were both really good, on the sweeter side but I prefer that. Only miss for me is the BBQ sauce - I found it to be a bit bland. Tried the leftovers with some apple habanero sauce that is a bit sweeter and really complimented the smoke and rub so if I had a suggestion to make it would be to offer a sweet/spicy sauce as an option. The location we went to was pretty typical atmosphere for a BBQ restaurant but you order in line and take to go or eat there - seating is fairly limited so be aware if you are trying to eat there. A sweeter BBQ sauce would make it perfect for my taste anyway.

Ribs- some tenderness in feel the rib and flavorful could have been kicked up Cole slaw- watered down and a bit too sweet Potatoe salad- nice balanced flavor Beans- nice and Smokey w/ plenty of meat Jalapeño Mac & cheese- creamy, a bit of spice, noodle not over cooked Links- mild mix of spice and cheese Smoked chicken- nice smokey taste could have had more moisture The bbq sauce is ok... the lighter of the two is the best and has the best balance of flavor. There was no clear distinction between spicy and non Worth trying at least once.

Chicken, ribs and brisket. Brisket was way too fatty (I did ask for moist part but didn t expect this much ) but it was still good with carving some fat out. Spicy BBQ sauce was good too! Sides were great especially the potato salad!!! We had cowboy pinto beans, potato salad and cream corns. Everything was great but potato salad was the most popular one for sure. While I was waiting for the food, I was able to taste a sample for their pepper smoked tenderloin (only available on weekends) and it was out of the world taste. So juicy and tender. Whoever the gent that recommended me to try a piece, I d tip my hat for you. One minor thing is that parking is soooo limited for this location.

Then he took the other table their small order of a side, and he had upgraded them to a large. THEN, he was telling us about breakfast and ended up bringing out two breakfast burritos to my co-workers. Super personable, gave us recommendations for other places to try and local breweries. Honestly, this bbq sucks. Brisket was dry and tasted burnt. GA bbq is better. Go to Hurtado if you want some good bbq.

I came in at 6pm and the bbq was still good. I had ribs, brisket, southern slaw, creamed corn, and cobbler. The ribs were the best I ve had in a while. They were fall off the bone and juicy. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The slaw that I chose was mayo based and good. The creamed corn was amazing. Finally the peach cobbler was sweet and the crust was crisp. The seasoning they use on the meat is worth not using sauce. They only had one sauce which was a light bbq sauce, but I liked it because it didn t overpower the meat and seasoning.

Unfortunately, I probably will not come back... But this is because I do not live in Dallas! This place was great. When we got there we told that we have never been there before and a nice young gentleman not only explained their menu but also gave us samples of meats. We ended up getting sandwiches with 2 meats (1/4 pound each) with a side and a drink. Bread and meat were delicious and tender. Potato salad as a side was good but not the best. Thank you for a great experience.

Breakfast tacos are their staple but they use bacon bits and liquid eggs. Brisket is a choice between fatty and loaded in grease or dry and chewy. Sausage is good. Fries are good. Jalapeño Mac and cheese is good. But this isnt very good Texas barbecue.

I was in the area for work and this find came highly recommended. Brisket sandwichn jalapeño mac & cheese, with a PINT of potato salad. The Brisket was simple and on point! I have never havld jalapeño Mac and Cheese before however, it wasnt bad. I was afraid of how the combination would be and it works great. The potato salad was flavorful and the potatoes were a little crisp. I like them that way. Plus, when I told them it was my first time there, they gave me a bunch of samples!

I dont give out 5 stars that often but this place checked every box, even ones that I didnt know I had. First impressions, nice small BBQ joint. We stood looking at the menu and were offered free samples. That right there made say dang. We ordered lean brisket, fatty brisket, turkey, sausage, burnt ends soup, potato salad and mac-n-cheese. Everything was amazing. The fatty brisket was so tender and moist. Ive never had brisket that good ever and Ive been to several BBQ places across the US. My top 3 selections today were #1, fatty brisket, #2 burnt ends soup and #3 (curve ball) the pozole. It was given to us to try, it had a little spicy kick but it made my top 3. Sweet 8lbs 6oz newborn infant jesus this place is beyond delicious. Its easily my #1 BBQ place in Dallas. Please give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

First time visitor and I ordered the Thursday special, which consists of the St. Louis rib, one side, and a drink. In addition to that, I got some brisket. The ribs were a bit salty for my liking, but and I do mean BUT lol, with that sweet bbq sauce they give you .IT IS A BANGER!!! The brisket, I had the flat cut, was moist and good enough by itself and with the sauce ANOTHER BANGER!!! As for the side, the Jalapeño Bacon Mac and Cheese, I could definitely taste the flavor of the jalapeño, I would have loved some bacon chunks lol, yet the taste of bacon was there for sure, and the Mac & cheese was great for a bbq place. I feel like in DFW the sides usually are okay because they are neglected, but not this side I was scraping the cup for the last bit lol. Overall, I d give this place a 9.5 out of 10 for the food experience. The customer service was great too! As Arnold said before, I ll be back!
