Stopped here after being disappointed at another local restaurant, and we are so glad we did! We will definitely be stopping by next time we are in the area. I had mushroom stuffed chicken with rice it was surprisingly very good, it honestly didnt look really impressive but the taste, I was surprised! We also ordered catfish and street tacos. Went in at 9:30pm on a saturday and was told after sitting the restaurant was closing at 10 instead of the listed time (11pm) and when we ordered drinks we asked for either coke or pepsi in an attempt to be flexible with our order and the waiter (if you can call him that) replied uM wE hAvE cOkE, wElCoMe To TeXaS it took us very off guard and made for an extremely hostile environment, we left soon after... and by the way were born and raised Texans...

RJs delivers a consistent experience, its a great locals kind of place, music varies, sometimed its hard to get a seat at the bar but the high top tables are comfortable and always available. They do have good live entertainment, trivia on certain nights and a dive bar in a good way! I highly recommend their wings and their food specials. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended place off of Main Street in Grapevine.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this bar and grill. We walked in late this evening and right away without even looking at the menu we decided to stay because we were greeted so warmly! Right down the road from work and love stopping by when I get the craving for the Quesabirria Tacos (secret menu and they are AMAZING!). They have amazing Bacon wrapped Jalapeños, I think they are Mommas poppers, they are so dang good. Tater kegs are huge and full of flavor. I need to try more, eberytime they bring food out I tell myself Ill order that next time, but the birria tacos are amazing. Recommendations: Birria tacos with charro style beans - these are not on the menu but ask for them, you ll thank me later! Italian beef sandwich - amazing and so much food! The quality of their food and service went way beyond what you would expect in a strip shopping center. Although not broad in selection, their food selections were scaled down, but their food quality would be very hard to beat in most resturants. Our mixed drinks were amazingly perfection and brews were ample although selections changed based on seasonal requests. This evaluation was based on a mid-week lunch visit with a single bar tender/server who made you feel at home and welcomed. Great job!

I don t appreciate the staff touching me and asking did you not hear me, when it comes to playing their gambling games. Came here early Saturday night (stayed maybe 8:30 to 10:00). It was not very crowded. The AC was not on (it wasnt real hot out), but they did have a large drier fan sitting on a table. There was no wait service at the tables, but you could order at the bar and the bartender was very nice. I did not have anything to eat, but my friends ate dinner and enjoyed themselves. I am not sure I hit them at their high point, maybe they were having maintenance done? Anyway, I will try again sometime to see if they have things together better then.

So I went here to get a to-go order, waiting 15 minutes to even talk to someone, and then waited upwards of 45 minutes for my order. Im a patient guy, so whatever, if the food was good I would be more than happy for the wait. I get home with my order (I had walked there, so it wasnt a quick trip) and it was completely wrong. I go back and ask for the correct order, and I was told by the server in a really rude tone that the order didnt come with the things I asked for (even though I checked the menu while he went to get the manager, and I absolutely was right). Manager was kind enough, but at that point I just got a refund and ate somewhere else. This is a nice sports bar. I liked the chicken stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeno appetizer. Ordered the hatch chilies burger. The bun was soft and fluffy, but the bottom bun wasnt able to stand up to the hamburger patty and became very soggy. Had to use a knife and fork to eat my burger, but it tasted good. The burger came with lightly seasoned fries, which were hot and that is a must for me. All-in-all, I liked this place.

The Italian Beef sandwich was delicious and surprisingly authentic. As a resident of Chicago for over thirteen years, I freely admit to being very picky about a beef and R&J s did an excellent job. My standard of reference is Clark Street Dog (3040 North Clark, 60657) and while my biased palate will never admit any other beef ever being as good, R&J s came pretty close. The meat was full of flavor and tender but with a bit of snap, the giard had a good ratio of peppers to celery and the right amount of heat, the bread was very close to a genuine gonella roll (chewy texture but with crusty edges) and the gravy was salty but not too fatty. The only possible deduction would be that by default R&J s offers this beef topped with cheese but they readily withheld this terrible option at my request. I suppose if you re a thousand miles from Clark and Halsted you re going to have customers who confuse a beef with a cheesesteak and actually want cheese on their sandwich. Unlike the more famous sandwich shop nearby in Grapevine, R&J s does NOT include any chopped peppers, so as long as you ask them to hold the cheese, you can expect a very authentic Chicago classic. As for the bar itself, R&Js has a covered patio out front that is smoking-friendly which is a nice option for a bar to have. The place was clean and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Ill definitely be going back.

Best bar food in Grapevine hands down. No place can hold a candle to it. I could be biased just because me and one of the owners, Jose, are both from Chicago. Looked like a cool place to hang out. Couldnt rate food or drinks, we didnt stay because it was a limited menu that night for Halloween and with 9 people not everyone wanted what was offered. Hope to go back and check it out another time. Staff was friendly looked clean.

This place is amazing! If I lived closer, I d be here all the time! We brought our seven young children to dinner here and everything was great. The food was excellent, from the wings to burgers to pizza puffs. The kids loved it! The staff was very attentive and considerate and welcoming to a bunch of small children in a sports bar. We visit Great Wolf Lodge a couple times per year and will definitely be back soon.

Came for the Chicago food on the menu. Vienna Italian beef sandwiches were great! Maxwell Street Polish Sausage was excellent! Fries coming with the food were great. Chicago dog brought back memories. Prices were a bit high for my taste but I found it was worth it. Thank you R&J!

We love this place!! Kaylah was our server and she was the perfect ambassador for this authentic CHICAGO style bar and Grill. We felt the Italian beef and Chicago dog were the best we ve had anywhere in North Texas. Both were true to their roots! Gotta try this one! We will definitely be back!

Very Gvinian. Mostly locals, very friendly staff. Live bands. And theres one pool table in the back. Awesome food, try the tacos!! Big porch in front that the staff does pay attention to. Parking: Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Single floor with no stairs.

Was happy when the place changed ownership & theme. However, on 3 separate occasions, I have not received great service. Disappointing to sit at the bar & be ignored for several minutes. The last time I was pleased with the service but that bartender only works 1 day/week. Will try again.

Visited RJs for the first time this past Sunday for the AHL grand opening tourney. Its a dive bar.....and comfortable. The bacon wrapped shrimp was far above expectations and folks were commenting on the quality of other food choices as well. Servers were hustling, and the owner was running his tail off helping customers. Not gourmet....its a bar...and food quality well above other similar venues. Definitely will return

I drink and eat here often. Best food ever! Not only does it taste amazing but also the chicken is still moist. Most bar kitchens dry that out. Ask if there are any specials for the day. One of the owners is a very creative chef and makes new stuff daily. Has owned and managed many restaurants. This is a MUST stop! Its like a Cheers type bar as well. Everyone is family. So awesome

Not sure why this place is rated so highly. Definitely a dive bar. The 1 star was for the bartender, she was very polite and attentive. The beer selection is small, the local craft beer isnt included in happy hour, the bar stools are barely holding together. I guess youd expect that at a dive bar so we can let that slide. Worst part hands down was the food. My Italian beef sandwich tasted/ smelled like spoiled meat and the fries came out dripping with oil, terrible. I did not finish. May be the worst food Ive had in all of north Texas ever. Im all about dive bars, but the food has to be ok at least. Maybe I caught them on an off day?? Ill have to try again and will update if something changes.

Exactly what youd expect for a dive bar. Only tried the nachos, but they were good. Beer is also served in frosty mugs so cold it starts turning slushy before it hits your table. Service was unobtrusive but never lacking.
