A fun local bar where you can enjoy a cigar and relax. Every time I ve been, the staff has always been great! I frequent this spot to relax with a cigar or have a drink with some friends. I ve noticed they regularly have live music, and each time it s been really good artists that played some awesome hits. I ll continue to visit this bar! Parking: You can always find a spot on Main Street. It can get busy, but there are enough parking spots in the area. I don t think I ve seen any parking that isn t free.

They still allow smoking inside at bar and outside patio. That was the only think keeping it from 5 stars. The service was fantastic! We sat in dining room so that helped with the smoke smell a bit. We ate the buffet. Good home cooking with dessert .

Loved this eclectic place... Simple menu, huge tasty portions for not too much money. Only downside was that we walked in as another guest was smoking just inside the front door in the restaurant... Not something you expect these days so it caught us off guard.

Found this place by happenstance. Family all had the buffet. Something for everyone. Server was awesome. Left there way too full and pleased. Will be back soon! Only giving the atmosphere a 3 because they had smokers inside and we had to walk through the middle of them. Kid-friendliness: My 4 year old grandson ate plenty. He loves fresh veggies and he thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar.

Came here for Saturday brunch. It was fantastic! Good price and good selection. Salad bar with lots of options. Main entrees were very good and several side selections were available. In addition the dessert bar was terrific! Highly recommended and Ill definitely be back! The only negative was that smoking is allowed here, but there is a non- smoking section. Our server was fantastic and made sure we had drinks and took out empty plates away quickly. I wish Id caught her name too give her proper credit.

A friend of mine took me to Willhoites for lunch on a Friday about 2 weeks ago. I wasnt expecting food to be that good, but wow, the seafood buffet was sooo good. I love seafood but it was amazing. I took my family to Willhoites yesterday for the Mexican food buffet and again, amazing. Willhoites staff and customer service is very southern mannered and professional, great people all around. Ive enjoyed the 2x ive been there and at a reasonable price for what you get, the history of Willhoites is fascinating, and all around I give it a 5/5. Couldnt ask for a better place with the food they offer and staff. -T

My favorite bar in the DFW, on Saturday night, they had live music featuring the band Silent Rumor. Its one of the best in the business for sure. They have a great upstairs balcony for people watching. The client tale here has more of an upscale vibe. And it wouldnt be a real bar if you couldnt smoke inside. The fried foods were cold, the bread was stale, the veggies were so overcooked they were mushy... First good meal Id had in a few days & it didnt disappoint! I ordered the patty melt with fries. They came to me piping hot and fresh, all cooked to perfection. Love the seasoned salt on the fries. I usually only eat a few fries when I order them with meals, but these were so good I ate every last one. Prices were very reasonable and portions plentiful. I ate at the bar, and the bartenders/waitresses were smiling, happy people who gave great service. It just so happened that a musician was playing solo, which was unexpected and fun. Even without the music, I love the ambiance of the place. The last time I ate here was in around 1995 when I used to live in Grapevine. Im so glad I made time to eat here as I travel thru the area. Highly recommend!

First time - went for Sunday brunch. Cons-1. the men s bathroom was disgusting, gross, filthy! That raised concerns about the entire restaurant-especially the kitchen. 2. the hot food on the buffet was warm or cold 3. The booth was dirty 4. Mimosas were small, over priced but tasty. Pros 1. We came here for the buffet on a Wednesday evening but when we were handed menus to order from, we were told its pretty much a seasonal thing and it was closed at the time of our visit (which the menu and website do not specify). I was already hangry, so we decided to stay and give them a shot vs. leaving and going to our second choice, although we were very tempted to leave due to the smoke that we had to walk through just to get to the dining area. Having the bar at the entrance was not a good choice, yall. The loaded queso was decent, the chili fries tasted exactly like what we could make at home, the chicken strips and the fried mushrooms were good, but the stuffed jalapenos were amazing. Our waiter was personable but seemed pretty busy at the bar, so we spent more time here than we wanted to. The entrances to the restrooms are down a hallway and out of sight, which I felt could easily create a predatory environment, and in all honesty, I did not feel very safe on my trip to and from the restroom. The only thing I really liked was that the dining area was decently quiet and situated a distance from the bar (only one other couple was in the dining area when we got there). If we decide to come back, well call in advance to ensure the buffet is open and wont be visiting if its closed.

Willhoites is one of the best local spots in Grapevine. All of the wait staff and bartenders are great. The fries are the absolute best, but all of the food is delicious. The atmosphere and aesthetic that the restaurant has maintained makes for a really fun environment. Definitely 10/10 recommend! Vegetarian options: There is a full service salad bar and many vegetarian options on the menu Parking: There is a parking lot in back and street parking in the front. A couple blocks south there is a parking garage that is $1/hour for the first three hours.

We just left Willhoites. It is the worst meal we have ever had. First, we went to eat the buffet. We were told they don t have the buffet on Saturday night. We ordered from the menu. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak dinner. The chicken fried steak was a frozen patty and the gravy was like water with no taste. When my waitress asked how the meal was, my husband showed her the gravy and the meat. She went to the kitchen, and when she returned said the cook said that s the way they make it!!! The waitress then called manager over. He came over and he looked at the dinner and said he totally understood. He offered to replace it with something else. My husband told him no thank you. I had the potato skins and they were also terrible. We were not charged for my husband s dinner. We do not recommend eating at Willhoites. Both of our dinners were beyond terrible. We will never return.

Came here while visiting Grapevine to see the lights at the tail end of December. We just moved here from out of state, like, a few days ago, and our waitress was so very sweet and welcoming. The only option that day was the buffet and it was pretty good but I ve got to say that it was the excellent service, from the guy who told us the special and cut off someone trying to walk in front of us and the lovely waitress who even gave us a homemade pen that made this restaurant so special. Also just loved it s history. Kid-friendliness: My daughter thought the ice cream sundae bar was the best thing ever.

This is NOT a restaurant. It is a smoky bar with terrible cafeteria food for $15 a person. Also I thought smoking in bars or any restaurant had been made illegal years ago in Texas. Not sure what loophole they use to allow that. It s a cool old building but I don t know how there are any reviews saying the food is good. Freezer food I make from home is better. The only positive is no one got sick after.

We recently moved to the DFW area from York PA to be close to my daughter when she got out of the Navy. I am a retired, disabled (LOD) police officer with PTSD and have a service dog named Odin. Last Saturday my wife planned a trip for the whole family to visit Grapevine for the Christmas Festivities. Crowds are tough for me but that is one of the things Odin helps me with. This is the first Christmas we have spent together in 7 years so we were excited to make some memories. It was me, my wife, Odin, my adult son, my oldest daughter, her husband, and my youngest daughter Emilie who is 21, however she is special needs and about at a 7 year old level. Emilie had a baby stroller with her reborn baby doll. My wife was not kidding about the crowds. I was doing OK with Odin leading me through the tight spots. We decided to get something to eat and stopped at Wilhoits. We like the menu, so my wife asked me to go in ahead of the rest of the family to see if I could find a place where we could all fit. The place, like everything else, was packed. I figured we may have to sit at two different tables. My son was with me and Odin. I walked all the way to the back corner and was happy to find an empty booth with seating for four that would put me, Frank and Odin out of the way with my back to the wall. Just as I turned to sit down a man who later identified himself as the owner came rushing towards me and said that I could not have my dog in there. I pointed to Odin s vest that clearly identifies him as a service dog for PTSD. A vest he is not legally required to wear. The man said he did not care and that I had to leave. I told him that he legally could not make me leave and that Odin and I were protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. He said he did not care. I told him I would not leave and to call the police. My son, seeing that I was getting upset, stepped in and said You can t make him leave, its a service dog , he replied I am the owner and can refuse service to anyone for anything . My son said Odin would be under the table and not go to the buffet with me, the man then reluctantly agreed. My wife came in at the tail end of the conversation and said we could just leave if we weren t welcome. I told her we had every right to be there, but she wanted to go. Between the problem with the owner and my wife being upset I just gave in and left. When I got outside my youngest daughter could see how upset I was and ended up having a meltdown. The entire night was ruined and we all just went home. Odin has been my service dog for 7 years. He is a real service dog, not a dog that someone got a BS letter and patch for through the mail. I wish I could say that this was the first time we have been discriminated against, but its not. However the owners bullying and harrassing attitude was the worst I have ever been subjected to. As a professional dog trainer and someone who has worked extensively working with Veterans and First Responders to train service dogs for them, I am sick and tired of this treatment and can only imagine how this guy has and will treat people who cannot stand up for themselves. And here is the law that he told me did not exist. Food Establishments (Texas Health and Safety Code, Section 437.023) A food service establishment, retail food store, or other entity may not deny a service animal admittance into an area of the establishment or store or of the physical space occupied by the

We had fantastic birthday party for my 2 years old daughter last night. They were the last restaurant that I called to make reservations for 15 people, and luckily they accepted my reservation. It was wonderful. The buffet was pretty good. People s tastes are different. But for us, it was decent for $15 per person and in that area. I think it reasonable price. First time visiting Willhoite s. Normally go to Tolbert s across the street but we decided to try this Grapevine restaurant staple. Glad we did. It was an old time auto garage that was converted with plenty of history and nostalgia aplenty. We did Sunday brunch which was fairly priced and delicious. Really nice restaurant. I love the appeal of the lower floor. I met with a group and sat in an upper private room. The server still came back just in time to keep our drinks going, though. We all had the lunch buffet that they had going. I quickly fell in love with the roast beef and mashed potatoes. Chili was off, but the gumbo was acceptable. I would happily go again any day.

This bar has it all. Whether youre from out of town or a local, this is a must go. Kyle behind the bar was the very picture of knowledge and class, while Jayla was killing the homemade omelet station. I will be back every time Im in town.

Right on Historic Main Street Grapevine. Was once an old car mechanic. Two cool upper areas with pool tables. Bartenders are friendly. Great buffet. Lively crowd! Awesome live bands. This is where Post Malone comes when hes in town. Highly recommended. Check out the old calaboose (jail cell) right next door as well. Parking: Tons of parking out back. Also in front plenty of spots for your motorcycle. Wheelchair accessibility: Back door has wheelchair accessibility. Front door a bit too narrow

We love this place so much that we always make the drive from Wylie at least once a month. Its the perfect spot for day drinking and people watching especially after youve been walking around downtown all day. If youre looking for a trendy bar with a dress code then this isnt the place for you. This place is laid back and you get nothing but good old fashioned southern hospitality from their staff.

I was really excited after reading the reviews, but I think its more of a bar atmosphere than restaurant. The food was not worth the money & the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. I didnt even know there were restaurants that still allowed smoking. The waitress was very sweet, but that was the highlight.

This is a really cool bar Downtown Grapevine. Has a biker element to it, but its more of motorcycle enthusiasts. The food is great and the wait staff kept the drinks coming. Live band was good and the front patio was a great place to chill.

I dont know what a good ole Texans bar is supposed to be but if I had to say this is it. Full buffet, drinks are on point, dance floor, live music, 2 stories, old car garage turned into a bar.....man I could go on. Its a thing to see and a place to be.
