My husband and I have been wanting to try out this location since the one in Carrollton closed. We did not have a good experience..We never received our food after waiting an hour and twenty minutes. My husband went up twice to check on our order and finally they admitted that either someone else got it or it was never put in. At that point we were too hungry to wait any longer. We did get our drinks when we got there, and they were good. We received a refund for the food portion. If you are looking for the Carrollton location vibe. This ain t it! Get your drinks to go!

I waited 40 mins for my food after being charged and my entire party being served. Everyone else was served and finished before I even went up to ask about my food. I was promised Mac n cheese as a part of the manager special and you all see the weird tasteless mixture I got. I was told I would have to wait ten additional minutes before my food would be ready and was asked to produce proof (a receipt) that I had paid for my order by the person that took it. Absolutely no one apologized or made any effort to accommodate us after the mistake was made. The potato salad was mushy and tasteless as well as the cheese pasta concoction. Bless their hearts. I sincerely hope they do better in the future. They definitely ruined my first experience with my friends and family. The DJ was a vibe.

I was at The Daiquiri Shoppe in Grand Prairie on Father s Day with my Sons along with others celebrating. We ordered catfish, chicken wings meat pies and on that day they served red beans and rice everything we had was delicious and the fish was actually real catfish it s been on my mind to come back for the fish since I enjoyed it that day..along with the crowd and the DJ was Amazing. Oh Guys the Daiquiris are amazingly delicious!!!! Today 7/3/2023 was the day I decided to come back because I was next door getting my nails done for the July 4 holiday and The Daiquiri Shoppe was next door and open for lunch. Immediately after completing my nail appointment..I walked to the Restaurant month watering for some more of that fried fish and chicken wings. Before I ordered I ask the waiter if the fish was real catfish and she replied yes it s real . You see I m a Louisiana girl myself and I know tilapia is not catfish. I also no alligator is not chicken even though people say the taste is similar lol I was so very Disappointed . I m still not sure what type of fish they gave me but I know it was not catfish. Not until moving from my hometown have I seen restaurant try to sale other types of fish as catfish and it s not fare to the people that s paying there hard earned money for a product only to be fooled . To the owners / management at The Daiquiri Shoppe in Grand Prairie call the fish what it is . In my opinion it should not be legal for an establishment to say they are serving you catfish and it s not catfish . Please let s get it right and stop being deceitful just to make an extra dollar try satisfying your customers taste buds even if you have to charge a little more!!! Keeping it real from Louisiana!

First let me say that Ive patronized this business since they broke ground as a small to go only shop across the parking lot from their current location. I know the owners, a couple of the wives, and most of the first generation kids. This is also the designated spot for all of our annual bday parties, which always result in large turnouts, meaning that we support this place on a regular, so its safe to say that we obviously enjoy the vibe. My issue is the bias treatment towards non Louisiana sports teams fans. Yesterday (5/26/24) was the 2nd time that Ive visited to catch a game and theyve cut the tvs at closing, but Ive been there for Louisiana college, NFL & NBA games, in which the doors were kept open wayyyyy past closing. The Mavs are in the playoffs, and that game only had 10 mins left, and had this been the Pelicans, they WOULD NEVER!!!! All Im saying is to keep the same energy all the way around.

Worst take out experience. I use to eat here years ago and the food was good. Now its horrible. The shrimp basket use to have 6 jumbo shrimp now its non seasoned popcorn shrimp. I accidentally ordered the fried chicken poboy instead of the chicken wing basket and they refused to let me swap it out even tho the poboy cost more and I was willing to let them have the difference. I opened up the poboy chicken sandwich and it literally had two chicken wings bone in between two pieces of bread with no lettuce tomato or anything. How the hell can you eat a bone in sandwich? $13 for that with no lettuce and tomato. Nothing was seasoned at all . I also ordered a fish basket that use to come with 2 fillets and now its 3 fish nuggets for $13 that had no seasoning. The French fries were soggy and no seasoning. This was the worst $55 Ive ever spent on food. I will never go back and if you like real soul food I advise you to never go there. 100 percent dissatisfied.

The manager or owner (older black lady with braids) really does not understand what decent service is. I placed my order online at about 5:35 p.m. for 2 tender dinners and 2 wing dinners. Online estimated time was 6:04 p.m. for the order to be ready reasonable. I drove 25 minutes from my house to pick my food up. I received a text saying my order was ready at 6:05 p.m. before I arrived. I go in and my order is not ready. Four different workers (two managers) asked what I was waiting on, yet, my food was still not ready after waiting 10 extra minutes. You can see the disappointment on my face standing there. I explained to both managers that I drove 25 minutes for food and that I should be compensated for the time wait and inconvenience at 6:20 p.m. They both basically walked away and said my food would be out soon. At this point, it s now 6:25 p.m . 20 minutes AFTER my pick up time, almost a hour after I put my order in online. The older lady and the other manager both offered a Daiquiri. If I wanted a Daiquiri I would ve ordered it with my $53.00 meal. I told them I don t want a daiquiri or a drink as I still have to drive 25 minutes back to my house. Not only that, I also explained I don t drink soda OR alcohol. All I asked for was to take some money off or give my tip back for the inconvenience and the older lady said I cannot do that . She did not want to refund me ANYTHING. I ll never go back here. Not a sorry, we apologize, not coupon or anything. Everyone doesn t want free daiquiris and when I said I dont drink you reply oh ok well I cannot give anything else but as a business this is YOUR mess up? She wanted to keep implying the time is estimated it s not a guaranteed time when your order is ready but I ordered almost an hour ago and my food still was not ready. That s unacceptable. 50 minutes? For chicken and fries? Yeah. Okay.

Great Vibes!!! If your ever in GP (Grand Prairie) looking for good food, music and a great drinks, this is the place for you. Upon entering we were searched and ID. Then we jumped in line and ordered some food and drinks. We sat near the DJ and he had the crowd hyped all night long. His music matched the vibes in the room. I had never been to Daiquiri Shoppe before but drove past several times and finally I got the chance to go. When I walked in there was no line and none of the cashiers wanted to make eye contact with me. So I smiled and started the conversation. The lady wasnt welcoming at ALL. I ordered a fish basket and a daiquiri. I even tipped the girl that was taking my order even though she didnt give me good service and still got terrible service after that. I waited for an hour and 20 minutes for my food I watched other people get their food that came in after me. I moved to Texas about a year and a half ago and I havent had good service since Ive been here and daiquiri shop was no exception.

Recently visited there for 1st official Saints game. The establishment is a nice place in itself, I am from New Orleans and its definitely agreeable with the culture. I have to give 3 stars because I had fruit flies in my daiquiri the last time I visited which leads me to believe they do not clean these machines out. I usually visit on Friday afternoons & there is never a long wait. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I ve never had the food so I can t speak for that, but the drinks are good & fairly priced.

Great service and food was pretty good. The fish and crawfish was slightly over cooked but was hot and fresh. I will stick to the chicken wings in the future. Daiquiris and vibe always nice!

Me and my gf come here pretty often so I usually know what to expect but it s starting to get worse every time. Our cashier Jakeiya C, didn t even greet us when we got to the counter. She just looked at us and waited for us to say something. We waited 30 minutes for our food. I got my food and my fries are literally burnt. I literally watched her sit by the big boy beer & she was talking on the phone the whole time. So I go back to the counter & I ask how much longer the food is gonna be. She walked back to get the food & gave it to me. I said thank you & she literally just looked at me like I didn t say nothing. This is place is not friendly at all & it seriously needa some management for the poor customer service.

Food was great but it took forever to get. Our cashier spoke in the tone of Ying Yang Twins whisper song, could barely hear or understand him. The other cashiers dreads were like a curtain. You couldnt see his face at all besides his mouth. There were about 10 different couples, or single orders ahead of us and not one got their food until 10 minutes or so until after our order was taken. They finally started bringing orders out one at a time. Not sure if the cashiers were working the kitchen too but it felt like it due to how long it took each order to come out. There wasnt more than one group eating at a time due to how long it took for each. I understand its a Monday but to have one order brought out at a time was absolutely ridiculous. Id love to go back because the food was great but something needs to be done about the service/atmosphere.

Not sure what has changed, but the food quality was not what I ve had in the past. Shrimp were salty, chicken fried hard in old tasting oil, and fries were horrible! Please go back to the standard that many customers can continue to appreciate!
