This is a great place to stay for a girls weekend in Georgetown, TX. Excellent rooms, food & hospitality! Very comfortable beds, great breakfast! They are very sweet to accommodate special dietary requests or preferences. Georgetown was voted Texas Most Beautiful Downtown Square. Lots of great shops and yummy restaurants. Can easily fill two days just checking out the square. San Gabriel House is super close to lots of great shops and restaurants.

I am not one to write a review but our experience at San Gabriel Bed and Breakfast is worth writing about. The experience was GREAT! Danni the innkeeper is by far the best! When I made the reservation, I indicated early check-in may be required. Danni sent an email about steps to take to ensure we would be able to check in early. Upon our arrival, Mark greeted us. He and Danni shared a brief history about the San Gabriel Bed and Breakfast. Danni goes above and beyond to make breakfast delicious and provided interesting conversations. This was an experience to remember. The house is historical dating back to the Victorian era, and the grounds are beautiful; if you just want to wake up and enjoy the outdoors or just wind down in the evening. San Gabriel is a MUST visit, I do not think you will be disappointed. My husband and I were guests in late June, and we have already made reservations for a second visit in the fall. Nearby activities: Near the downtown square, which has shops, activities and great eateries.

My visit to the San Gabriel House B&B was first-class in every way and I would definitely plan to stay there again if Im in Georgetown. The staff provided excellent service and the breakfasts were SUPERB! It was like stepping back in time to be served on china plates with real silverware in an elegant dining room and there was a coffee maker available in the common area near my room. The house is conveniently located across the street from Southwestern University where I was invited to do a music residency so I could walk to the campus. Kudos for maintaining such a lovely place!

We stayed one night in mid November 2023. A charming home with wonderful hosts. Very quiet (maybe because we were the only guests that night) neighborhood although the street out front can get busy during early morning and evening times. This community has doubled in size the past few years and is the fastest growing town in the USA. I hope they will survive the growth. This home is well taken care of and history dating back to 1902. The breakfast is a 10!

My husband and I only had the opportunity to spend one night. But it was great! The entire place was very clean and inviting. The room was large and the mattress was unbelievably comfortable. The breakfast was incredible: two courses with service at either 8 or 10. Parking was close and the walk to town was about 15 minutes. The Innkeepers were very personable. Everything about this place was perfect. Walkability: Very close to charming town square.

My sister and I chose San Gabriel for our stay while visiting family. We were delighted with the charm of the home and the Inn keeper, Danni. We stayed in the former art studio separated from the house but connected by the lovely back gardens. We were so very comfortable there and relaxed. Danni gave us the history of the home, advice on local activities and suggestions for our free time. Danni is also an excellent chef and created delicious morning meals for us. I loved my time there and I will definitely be back. Walkability: The home is within walking distance to the city square where there are boutiques and restaurants of all sorts.

Wonderful true B&B experience! The mansion was clean, grand and so much more beautiful than the pictures. We arrived and were greeted by the friendly Innkeepers. They gave us a map of town square and an overview of all the town offers with the local spots to eat, shop and entertain ourselves. So much to do here! They told us the history of the home and were given a tour of the property. So many historical and beautiful details and antiques are throughout the home. We stayed in the Bishops Rose suite. The shower was not as tight as I expected it to be. Bed was very comfy. Linens, pillows and towels were soft. The A/C kept our room plenty cool in the 100+ degree summer heat. We met Kizmet the cat and he was so friendly and sweet. Also glad he is able to take refruge in part of the cottage house from inclement weather and heat. The front balcony has a porch swing you can sit in. It was neat to sneak up behind the main stairs through the servants staircase. The fancy breakfast was amazing in the elegant dining room at a beautifully set table. Danni is an excellent cook! Breakfast was mixed fruit with homemade cream. Quiche, ham, tomatoes and lemon scones were the main course. Everything was served on china and crystal including coffee and juice. It was interesting meeting and dining with the other guests. Upstairs there was bottled water, sodas and coffee available for self serve au gratis. Although we didnt play any games, they were availabe in the upstairs common area. There is only one television downstairs and it was not needed at all. Having stayed one night, the only thing we lacked was getting to staying longer. This is def somewhere we will be staying again on our next trip to the charming town of Georgetown! Rooms: Spacious, beautiful, comfortable, clean Nearby activities: Restaurants, bars, boutiques, theater, art gallery, antique stores Walkability: You can walk to the town square or drive there. Free parking at B&B and at the square. Food and drinks: Free water, sodas, coffee in common area upstairs

This is a lovey traditional bed and breakfast where the keepers live in the same building. The beds are super comfortable, and you should think of it more like a AirBnB without a kitchen. The upstairs space has a lovely common area with a fridge and tables. It is an excellent place to work or hangs out with family and friends. The breakfast is excellent. Noteworthy details: It is an old and historic building with a lot of character and a lovely garden in the back.

We just arrived back home after spending the weekend at the San Gabiel House for a wedding. The staff, service, and attention to detail were excellent. The house itself has a storied and interesting history, and to see it in its current form, you could not imagine it was used for anything else. It is a space that takes you back in time and provides a wonderfully simple ambiance that was quite welcoming. All amenities were well thought out, and the food was exceptional. While the weather prevented us from utilizing the backyard, the planning that went into the space would make it ideal for any outdoor event. Overall, this experience ticked all the boxes. Well worth the trip.

We hosted a wedding reception for our daughter in the back garden, with beautiful tents and lights, a catered dinner (from CJs, which we highly recommend), and about 35 guests. The setting is quaint and perfect for a small to medium-sized gathering. The wedding party slept in all of the gorgeous rooms upstairs, each with a bath, and with a common room in the middle. It was absolutely perfect for them to enjoy the night together after the reception. While the bride and groom could have enjoyed the separate garage apartment, they decided to stay with their friends in the upstairs rooms. Dani and Jeanie provided a delicious breakfast downstairs in this lovely historic home. They are rightfully proud of its heritage and are delighted to share the history of the home with you. The front porch is a perfect respite, with its rocking chairs and wicker furniture. The location directly across from Southwestern University is perfect for those visiting the university, or one of the many festivals in Georgetown.

I agree with everyone else on the good points, but did not like having control over heat in the room and they kept it quite cool in the middle of winter. Very little in the way of bath ventilation and I doubt the tiny window unit would cool very well during the hot Texas Summer. Most importantly, the breakfasts were skimpy and there were no choices other than whatever veggie item they decided to cook that morning. OK, but not worth returning. Last time by it was up for sale. No surprise.
