The customer service was good but the food wasn t. I got the salt and pepper fish with shrimp. The fish was small the shrimp was hard and it was a heavy greasy smell on it! The fried batter was so hard and thick! This was my 3rd time eating it and this time is just wasn t good! Maybe it wasn t a good day!

Oh my gosh, where do I begin? First, didnt think much at all from the exterior of this unassuming stand alone hole in the wall place. But, you should not judge a book by its cover! I started off with Boudain Balls as an appetizer. They were SO. FREAKING. GOOD!!! These deep fried, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside scrumptious mouth watering balls were bursting with so much flavor! They seasoned it so perfectly! It came in an order of three and I didnt even share! My friends had to order their own. Lol. The Boudain Balls were made from chopped sausage, rice, and a combination of vegetable, and aromatic seasoning rolled into a delicious ball! Be careful though cus it was served steaming hot! My table also ordered these bomb wings! They were crispy and crunchy! The salt and peppery seasoning balanced well with the sautéed onions and spicy chili pepper flakes! SO GOOD. I was preoccupied with the Boudain balls, so my friends only left me like two wings to eat. We ordered like 15 lbs. of crawfish and the seasoning was perfection! I thought I heard that they didnt have good sized crawfish this year - I guess because JT Cajun got them all! I was surprised that the crawfish were all pretty big and were just alive a few minutes before going into our bellies. We also ordered the snow crab legs and shrimp! The snow crab legs still had that crisp crack when we opened them (you know thats fresh!) and the shrimp were jumbo and slightly sweet. Sometimes a place will have great seafood, but their seasoning may be lackluster. Then, other places have great seasoning, but not the freshest seafood. JT Cajun does it juuuuuuust right! The seasoning is in point, the seafoood fresh, and the prices are so reasonable! Dont be deterred by the simple exterior. This place has some of the BEST Cajun seafood Ive ever eaten! (Sorry for the lack of pics, I was trying to eat faster than my friends!)

Been passing this place for a good while and decide to stop and try the food. I had the fried 1 piece fish with 3 piece shrimp with steamed vegetables. My co worker had the grilled 1 piece fish and the 3 grilled shrimp. The food was very sub par for the cost. The fish on both plates was very soggy and had no texture whatsoever, the grilled and fried shrimp was very tough and chewy. The steamed vegetables had no more texture than a bowl of well mashed thin potatoes, mushy. The food reminded me of what you would get at a cheap all you can eat Chinese buffet. Nothing close to being fresh. To be honest, I would not eat there again. Very disappointing.

We ve been driving by this place for a couple of years now and kept telling ourselves that we were going to try it someday. Honestly, I wish we had done it a lot sooner! The salt pepper shrimp and fish nuggets are a must! Every time we order its so perfectly seasoned and the batter is just so yummy and crispy on the outside ..the best part is that it s super affordable. The serving size is very generous as well. We can never finish all of our food.

I had seen this place a few times when I would come visit. I asked my friend for recommendations and this was one of the places she mentioned. Finally I said I was going to try it. I got the hot wings, catfish, popcorn shrimp, and salt &pepper shrimp. Sides were fries and fried rice. Everything was very well seasoned and nice portion.

I was very impressed. I stumbled upon this place by chance and didn t know what to expect. The shrimp were amazing perfectly seasoned! The crawfish was just okay, though it s not my favorite. Overall, the dishes were great, and I can t wait to return. I deducted one star because I think the wait time could be improved.

For a drive through, fast food restaurant, JTs is quite tasty. I have driven out of my way for their salt and pepper wings and fries. Their shrimp boils have never disappointed and have always hit the right spot. Give them a try and Im sure youll be back!

We ordered crawfish Togo over the phone . The lady asked for my card number to place the order. 1 hr later someone used my card for door dash racking up $150 bill when I called the restaurant to advise that someone from restaurant might have used my card Info.. I was told someone would review the cameras and call me back well 1 week later and no call back. I find it extremely ironic I have unauthorized purchases just an hour after I gave my card info over the phone. The food was good but I will not be ordering from them again since they stole from us. When given the opportunity to resolve the issue, no one followed up with me. Someone there used my card and that is illegal. You re lucky I didn t press charges.

I absolutely love the crawfish here! I am from New Orleans and this place definitely reminds me of home! Make sure to call first before going because sometimes they do run out fast. The hush puppies are soooo delicious, even my kid loves them. I love how the food is always hot and fresh here. If there is any issues the staff does their best to correct it.

I ordered crab legs for dining in. They have nothing to crack open the crab claws and only plastic forks. I paid $30 to eat crab with no easy way to to get to it. I finally manhandled it and it was delicious. Note to self: bring my own utensils & shell cracking tool next time.

The food is great and always fresh. So keep in mind that you will have a 5-10 minute wait. I have never been inside the restaurant but only the drive thru. Although it has no real reflection on the restaurant, the motel next door is a bit shady with people walking around/suspicious activity but never encountered any problems. The boudin balls are the best and other things Ive tried are good as well. Try this place out next time you want some seafood without breaking the budget.

Surprised! Catfish is great. Hush puppies were awesome. Fries were snackable. Great value - 3 pieces catfish & fries fed three of us. Couple friends ordered a cheeseburger and wings - these were devoured too. Remember now... such goodness takes time. We ate inside, kinda fun to point out the signs it was definitely a former Burger King, then Williams Chicken. I dont think its been updated. Really though, who cares? ...aint nobody got time for that! You can dine in, order take out or drive through... Youre gonna wait for the food. 15m in BK wasteland or in your car. Just accept the suck, order, then call your insurance agent or that friend who just cant wait to spill the tea. The catfish will be ready and worth it. Just dont share no fishes with ya bestie. I know that every isn t aware that all Catfish isn t created equally. Swai fish is a foreign catfish . It isn t real catfish. It s much cheaper to buy whole sale and a lot of DFW restaurants serve it. Problem is you re bring charged catfish prices for something that is way cheaper and not as good. Just Saying.

So had to share this review, this is my 2nd time checking JTs out. The first time it was awful (chicken wings) tough, salty, yuck! But, I tried them once again, and this time one I tried one of the shrimp boils and babyyyy, Im glad I gave them another shot!!! It was so flavorful and the heat was just right. Decided to try JT Cajun seafood and they did not disappoint! Ordered the catfish & shrimp combo which came w/fries & hush puppies the fish tasted fresh & flaky, fish & shrimp batter was seasoned and fried just right and those hush puppies were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside even the fries which were battered not really my first choice when it comes to fries but they were crispy and complimented the meal very well will definitely be back when I m in the Garland area!

I ordered the #8, 2 fish 9 shrimp to go. It was delicious. You can get it with fries or rice. I chose fries. The fries were so good. They actually held up until I got home, not soggy at all. Delicious, one word review. Unfortunately, yall need all the details and tips. This is Cajun style crawfish. Not Viet Cajun. After a job fair and going to work my belly told me, LOOK there is the Cajun place youve been passing for months, go eat..Now! I pulled into the restaurant which is located next to a busy access road. When you enter, its still set up like the start of Covid which was odd for Texas. The young lady at the counter must have had a lot of sugar earlier and was crashing since she was low energy. Low energy and playing with the phone doesnt equal great customer service. You can see the menu up against the wall and my belly said, gumbo and fish. I wanted to wash my hands but both restrooms were closed, insert eye roll with an annoying really. There were only two customers and it took a while to get my food. The gumbo was plain with hardly any stuff inside of soup. The fish were lightly breaded yet really no exceptional flavor. For 20 bucks the not stellar customer service, no bathrooms and flavorless food was not a good experience. I will try it again in the future, maybe it was an off day for the restaurant and for sure for my big belly. Insert the sound of a dying pacman.

Come HERE for the crawfish!! I lived in Houston and New Orleans and this some of the best crawfish I done had. Get the spicy garlic flavor and ask for some butter on the side, and put a lil juice from the crawfish bag in the butter! 10/10

I am very disappointed waited months to get my crawfish and when I do they are babies alot were straight tail meaning they were dead when they cooked them. Potatoes werent cooked all the way !!! $57.00 !!! Wasted!! Never Again!!

Food was ok but we requested water and we were charged for fountain drinks. The cashier refunded our money and then an Asian man came to our table and said that we needed to pay for the cups, 25 cents per cup, but that was not the issue it was the way he came up to our table and approached us. Its not what he said but how he said it.

Got the 10 hot wings and fries. Im not a big fan of battered fries but, these were pretty good. The wings were cooked well and they are not shy on the sauce. Even as wet as they were, they stillba bit of crispness to them. Food came out quickly and hot. Will definitely be back to try other menu items or for hot wings again.

Do not recommend. The girl in the drive thru(she claims she s the manager) is not friendly and does not have good customer whatsoever. Went for the lunch special as advertised and posted all thru out the drive thru but she tried to up charge me. I pointed out to her what the menu says she didn t care. She said well that s the owner idk what he post and what s on the menu I m going by whatever the register says! How rude & ignorant! Serve in a restaurant but don t know or care to know the correct prices. Smh I used to live this place many years ago. She s Rude won t return stop false advertising lunch specials
