The waiter service was good, but the food was very basic. We ordered a shrimp broth, but they didnt serve it cold, we told a lady. What was there, could I heat it? And he said it couldnt be done!!! I told him it was cold and he said well I cant heat it up!!! I ordered a glass of shrimp with octopus and oyster... they only came with two oysters and six cheap shrimp, almost the size of the marchan, three small pieces of octopus and the rest of pure onion, very rickety to be honest.

I got a 1.5 of shrimp. I love the presentation (large plate with tall edges, bowl for discards). Boils come out faster than other food, like very fast. Give or take I think it was about 15-17 shrimps. Good seasoning, ample amount of lemons. Ample seating. There are sauce options like kickin crab and I d rank kickin crab s kitchen sink higher. Shrimps are good quality and larger than kickin crab

I have gone to many locations depending on where my route is, the fish here for my ceviche tasted a bit old. The line to pick up my Togo order was the same line to place an order and only one person working the register. I had to wait 10 mins in line. There should be a separate line for pick up orders.

Made a big to go order which included 4 shrimp cocktails 3 hot ones and one mild. When i opened them up there wasnt a label or marking to identify the mild one so I called to see how I could tell the difference the guy that answered told me look if they have seeds inside and thats how you will find out! He was too busy flirting with two women on the counter so he didnt have time for my nonsense. Food is always great but they really dont know how to pick their staff. Need more training and better customer services skills.

The fried catfish had no taste. It was cooked properly and had a nice crispy breading. The fried shrimp was a little tough but had a good flavor and had a nice crispy breading. The best part of the meal was the hush puppies, they were absolutely delicious. Parking: Parking all around the area. Kid-friendliness: Open environment and relaxing.

My family came here on a Monday evening so maybe they were off their game but out of all the food we got, the only thing that was decently seasoned and good were the fries and the fried pickles. My husband got the crab cakes and onion rings and they were both pretty bland. I ordered the chicken wings with fries and while I liked the fries, the wings were cooked way too long and were dry and tough. My son got the chicken poboy with fries and he said it was ok but the chicken was dry. My daughter got the chicken tenders and she liked them, she didn t like the fries though. When I tried her chicken tenders they were cooked perfectly, but again, the breading was bland. Everything ended up being $75 with drinks, AND they asked for a tip before any service was given. No one checks in on you, you get your own drinks and refills, the only service given is taking the order and cooking of the food. If I had known what I do now I wouldn t have tipped so much, or I just wouldn t have eaten here. I definitely will not be back. Oh, and it smells slightly like sewer water in the main dining area.

UPDATE: 12/20/23 The food is still good. However, I have been a few times now since original review and the service is only so-so. You stand in a long line to order depending on what time you go. Which is ok but once you order and find your own table you wait until they bring your food. It doesn t take too long but you never see a server again. No one comes to check on your table and if you want refills you have to walk through the line and go all the way across the restaurant. Also, you automatically get charged a 18% gratuity for groups of 6+. I have no idea what it s for because you do all the work. I m very upset about that. You don t know unless you look at your receipt after you ve paid. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have seen this place many times but was put off by the name because I m not a big fish or seafood person. I went hesitantly with friends and was pleasantly surprised. They have awesome fried catfish and the onion rings are to die for! So don t judge this book by it s cover so to speak. You ll find something you ll love. Parking: Lots of construction and road closures around the restaurant. Very little parking right now.

Every time I eat at fish & tails its dead spot on. the food is hot cooked really well very pleasing & Delicious. I was happy because on the 28th November I came for supper for my birthday & I could have went to Olive garden or had steak for my birthday but I chose Fish & Tails for my birthday to eat at because the food is really good & Fish & Tails always get out food in a reasonable manor where your not waiting a long time to get my food. So I would definitely recommend Fish & Tails For Good Hot Tasty Food. I discovered this place during the downtown Garland celebration. Some of the best fried seafood Ive had in the metroplex. Its well seasoned and cooked to near perfection, in my opinion. The salads are huge. You can get cold beer if you like. Prices are reasonable, too. This place has definitely replaced my old favorite seafood spot on Greenville Ave.

Everthing about this place is scrumptious the seafood boil special is a must. Absolutely love their grilled salmon plate, and the ceviche is delicious and as fresh as it gets for us in the city. Their coctel de camaron is superb. Hubby loves the coconut shrimp. Highly recommend this hidden gem.
