What kind of Mexican restaurant is called Frankies place? A really great one it appears! Fresh takes on Old classics. Their brisket enchiladas are not what you would expect; enchiladas filled with wonderful mashed potatoes then topped with brisket and sauce. Sounds dumb, but the taste and textures are divine. Beware of the Salmon. It was the worst I ve ever had. Hoping we don t get sick from the couple bites we had. Complained to our waitress and she said she would tell the staff. Nothing was done and when we complained again. She said she would comp our drinks. We didn t eat it, but were charged $42 for a disgusting ,inedible salmon. We will not be back.

I stopped by a random place and it was well worth it. The staff were friendly. I got the chicken and sausage fajitas, and my husband got the beef street tacos. We also had queso, chips, and salsa. The food came out fast, hot, and it was good. My husband said his margarita was on point. If youre in the area, you should try this place.

I love eating here. The service is great and the food is excellent. Fajitas, enchiladas guacamole and other Mexican food offerings. Great portions. I had salmon enchiladas this time. A big salmon steak covered 3 enchiladas. Yummy.-- 2 meals in one. Chicken quesadillas appetizer could have been a meal by itself. Parking: Parking can be tricky. Really depends on the time and the day of the week.

A local cult favorite . Food is excellent and well priced. Comes out quickly from the kitchen. Staff are great, and have been employed for years (low turnover) so I know they are treating their employees well. I ALWAYS enjoy my time here. Drinks are great! A spot on the patio is just where I like to be to enjoy my brisket enchiladas, my favorite dish next to ceviche. Their ceviche is really good chunks of fish and fresh veggies. Execution is so good here. Please don t ever close Frankie s!!!!!! Vegetarian options: Veggie enchiladas are excellent. I love the mushrooms in it. Parking: On Friday or Saturday nights it s hard to find a spot! So popular Kid-friendliness: Family friendly environment. Recommend the patio.

Frankies has always been a very good Mexican restaurant. Been there many times. My son loves their vegetarian foods. One thing I need to call the attention of the mgtm/owner is: I ordered the Pescado Veracruz as listed on the menu wherein the fish was supposed to be red snapper. However, they dont have red snapper & substituted w/ catfish. But the I price I was charged for ($19.00) was for red snapper. Hope it was just an error. Wish I was made aware d price is the same or adjusted accordingly. It might not be a significant difference; important is the gesture to let customer know. And this certainly will make Frankie different (aside from the 5* for the food). One consolation: the catfish was very fresh. Just pay attention - this little thing might be nothing to the person taking the order but the customer like me would certainly like to know. Ty

Officially my favorite Mexican spot(it beat out my beloved meso maya!!) I discovered this place late last year and have been at least a dozen times since. Food is nothing short of delicious every time I have been. I love the atmosphere and the fact that you can eat in a bright sunroom or inside where it has a darker atmosphere. I love the Christmas lights decor inside and the 70-80s music they play. They have the best salsa, queso and chile relleno in town!! Their veggie enchiladas are also so yummy! Their happy hour is great and the frozen marg packs a nice punch. I think I ve only ever had 1 issue with Frankie s and it was a service related issue but we also had a Party of 10 and there was another huge party as well and our waiter was new, so it s understandable things got mixed up. Parking also sucks when it s real busy. But overall I Highly highly recommend.

This restaurant is a huge miss. When I walked in, an employee walked away from what appeared to be the host stand, although a strange looking one at that. I later realized it was a server station, but it s really confusing because it s the first thing after the walkway from the only entrance. This is where a host stand typically would be. Instead, the actual host stand is around another corner, out of sight. So after eventually realizing I was standing and waiting for something that would never happen, I explored. After being seated, I noticed that all the menu items were 1-3 dollars over the price you would expect from a place of the general caliber. I had a good server, who answered my questions confidently and knowledgeably. The chips and salsa were also not the worst, but the chips weren t fresh, they weren t stale either but just felt like they had been taken from a bag of chips. When my enchiladas arrived, they were spectacularly small, and nothing tasted very good. I doubt my review will move the needle much. With the exception of the weird host station placement (this could be fixed with a sign) it seems that whoever owns this restaurant knows what they are doing. And it makes sense, in this economy, that a restaurant owner would sacrifice quality and portion size and charge a little extra to stay profitable. Most likely, few will notice. It is sad, though.

I love this spot, and they have a great happy hour. Sundays are all day happy hour. I docked a star because their patio technically isn t dog friendly, although they are lenient. Best Tex mex I ve had in a long time. Finished 3 bowls of salsa before lunch arrived. I m an E-bar regular, and the fried jalapeños at Frankie s were off the chain amazing. The pescado y camarones took the cake. a nice chipotle sauce with a hint of lime was amazing. The fish and shrimp were both cooked to gosh darn near perfection. Service was also phenomenal.

Great place! We had a favorite family-owned tex-mex place, but they closed down 2 years ago. Weve been looking for a replacement since then to no avail... But today was our lucky day! I dont know how I havent reviewed this place before. It is one of our go to neighborhood restaurants. We liked Frankies before they moved to this location, but have eaten there and gotten takeout many times. The staff has always been friendly. The margaritas are a great (and potent). The Agustins enchiladas are my favorite, with the mole sauce. The Mexican lasagna is decent too. The brisket tacos are great, though not quite as good as some Ive had. Clementes enchiladas with verde sauce are solid. The beans could be better, and is the only thing I havent absolutely loved. They have a drive up window for takeout orders, which is nice (especially in inclement weather). Parking: Parking can be tight and the place does get busy.

Came here for my 11th anniversary after we kept seeing the place packed after driving home a few times. The service is 1000% the best part about this place. Had some great 80s music playing, but the food was way over salted and way more Tomato paste than needed on all 3 of the dishes we had.

Drove by this place for a long time, finally stopped and ate and have been there about 4-5 times, have had tamales, enchiladas, breakfast tacos & fajitas and I can say that all are better than most, also have excellent white cheddar queso & hot sauce !

Ho my God this is amazing . More then 4 years visiting this restaurant. Very clean nice management. Kind and they have passion for there job. Highly recommend the plate Pollo Gordo whit flan on side. And keep in mind take flan to go or deive true.

Friendly staff. Good food at a reasonable price. I like the tortas as it huge and it comes with fries. Also they have happy hour every day. Sitting inside is too dark, so we always chose sitting in the enclosed area.

The wait staff were very sweet! The time between being seated and food was pretty quick. Whatever we asked for as a group was given without a problem. And everyone was content with their food. The atmosphere is also very nice. I went right when they opened up but soon after they got pretty busy so that may change the speed of things but overall it was a good experience

Food was good. Prices have jumped. $58 for two people and no alcohol, isnt worth the visit. Burrito, nachos, soup and queso isnt worth the price. Been a Frankies loyalist since canyon creek opened long ago. Not coming back until prices drop
