This place is the bomb period! I have eaten all over Texas and the world and this place is top on my list! Ok, just tried the newly reopened restraunt with new owner. Great updated space and similar menu items but it appears the old owner did not give up her true ingredients and it shows. The taco almost look the same but the taste is just not the same. Very dry tacos without the great flavor. I really loved this place in the past so I am a little disappointed. At this point I do not see a line out the door happening at lunch with food running out by 1pm.

OMG I am so in love with fish company taco! The owner was very kind and a family man who served us, his family, and helped the staff. I absolutely loved the mocktails but the tacos were amazing! We ordered one of everything our favorite was the crudo daily special, the. Baja taco, and we had to order an additional batch of dirty South after we finished one of everything. The corn in the cups was Soo great to! Not from a can fresh roasted corn! Cant wait to come back!

I was a regular at the old Fish Company Taco and was never disappointed... I went to the new one today and am heartbroken... I wish they wouldve told me the Fresh Catch was going to be battered and fried like the store bought Gordons fish... I do not like fried food.... Waaay more batter than fish... The Korean sauce was excellent... The brussel sprouts are on point like the old days though! I will return for the brussel sprouts but definitely not a taco... I wonder if the soup has fried fish too?

Came here for lunch and we tried the Baja fish (fresh snapper) tacos and the everything bagel. Both were so very good and atmosphere was great. We also got Arnold Palmers that were made from scratch right in front of us. Just two people work there so can get kind of busy but definitely worth wait. Highly recommend!

This local spot is so incredible. The daily catch selections can be served several Asian fusion styles but don t be disheartened They do sell out daily because it s such a great little hidden gem the inside is warm but the outside seating is great. These tacos aren t meant for linen, napkins and fine dining even though they re served as if they should be at a five-star restaurant. They are just amazing beautiful chefs creations.

Food is super fresh and made to order! Fresh ingredients that are carefully prepared. The batter on the fish is light and crisp. Some of the best battered fish I ve ever had. Definitely more of a grab and go place for us as the AC unit was down when we went. Keep in mind you will have to wait for your food a little bit and they seem to often sell out early. If you want to try them, get there when it opens. We felt it was worth the wait!

Easily, the BEST food in Galveston. Most people ambiance equates to fine dining. For me, it s when you can leave an establishment full AND satisfied. The latter is usually lacking at restaurants, particularly in tourist destinations. There are pros and cons to their hours. Con is you can only get their food a few days a week, and not after 3pm - that s if they haven t sold out beforehand. The pro is that the food is so good the hours create a sense of longing. So, when you do have their tacos, or kimchi greens, or brussel sprouts, you feel as though you re treating yourself which you are. Last, the space gets hot during the summer months. But in my opinion, seeing the two chefs sweat in front of me further let s me know I m about to eat good. Most people eat outdoors, anyway.

If youre a fan of tacos, you absolutely must try Fish Company Taco! These fish tacos are simply the best Ive ever eaten. The flavor of the fish is spot-on, and the texture is perfect - crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. But what really sets Fish Company Taco apart is the sauce - its so delicious, I could honestly drink it straight from the bottle! All in all, if youre looking for a top-notch taco experience, Fish Company Taco is the place to go. I cant recommend it highly enough!

Pros: Cozy, friendly, and local vibe to the restaurant is great and most all the customers seemed to be regulars and happy with being there. Tacos seemed pretty good and unique. Menu options at the time were mostly Asian-inspired which is cool in terms of broadening peoples flavor palate. Cons: Expensive for what you get. Standard sized street tacos were $4, but I had the special of the day (golden tile filet in a bowl of rice). For $16 the special was terrible: the basmati rice was overly dry/powdery, portion was small, fish seemed slightly undercooked (clear in the middle), the curry was spicy but thin flavor, and the food bowl itself made me feel like I was eating out of a cheap plastic dog bowl. (Edit: Just realized they charged me $19 for the special when the menu said it cost $16) On the topic of the menu, it almost felt too diverse and scattered. As someone who grew up on East Asian food, the food I had/saw and the menu descriptions didnt really line up with what I would expect. Thats totally fine in of itself, but it could use some work to appeal to the Asian palate. Ive had Fish Company Taco saved on my places to visit all year. But sadly I dont know if Id come back. If I do, Id probably only order American food.

We had one of each of the tacos and took the reccomendation of the cashier for whether to get the fish (golden tile) or shrimp. We were not dissapointed, everything was so fresh and flavorful, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind to us. I would definitely recommend going early, we got there an hour after open and our order was the last before they sold out for the day. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the BEST tacos, let alone fish tacos, Ive ever had! Theyve nailed their batter, pickled veg, fresh homemade tortillas and insanely delicious sauces. Its as if a mad scientist committed his life to finding the ultimate umami and culinary balance in taco-form, and we get to experience the extraordinary success of their findings. Amazing hole in the wall! Its in a blue building with no sign, so be careful not to miss it. Great tacos!! It might take a while for the tacos to be ready, because they are made to order, but its worth the wait. Get at least 3 per person, since they are not very big. Ive been wanting to come here for some time & I not disappointed. I was greeted with enthusiasm & a hearty knowledge of the special & menu. I tried the Baja & Vietnamese tacos with Amber Jack fish, a side of the Korean Corn, & a bowl of Shrimp Tom Ka to round it off. Everything was bursting with flavor & so crisp & fresh. Ok food Horrible check out process. Got into the restaurant to pick up food and pay. Waited 20 minutes in line looking at my food dieing in boxes. 1 guy puts the food in boxes to watch it die while staring at you in line. There were 2 people in line in front of me. The food was excellent and Michael was great in terms of service and attention. We had several different shrimp tacos because we arrived a little late and they were out of fish. In fact, before we left they were also out of shrimp tacos. The sides (greens and onion rings) were also super. I would highly recommend Fish Company and suggest you go early.

Weve had the Baja taco with fried abaco jack fish as well as grilled shrimp, the fried shrimp Vietnamese taco, along with the cole slaw! Not your mayo based cole slaw - this has some kick to it. Big plus if you can get Michael to sing along to the music thats playing. Ask him about DePeche Mode!

Best tacos in Galveston, Id go daily if they were open every day. My favorites in order: Imperial, Vietnamese, Baja, Korean. Highly recommend with fish even though their Gulf shrimp is very good as well. Im working my way through all the sides, the brussel sprouts were so good we ordered for Christmas Eve dinner. The specials are awesome as well but its hard to not order the tacos. I lived in Singapore and spent a lot of time traveling South East Asia, I really appreciate their asian inspired twists on the tacos and sides.

The tacos were amazing and well worth coming back the next day after they sold out on our first try. Definitely see why they sold out, get there when they open, u wont be disappointed the oyster & chorizo stew was bomb, and Im not a fan of oysters. .the whole staff was friendly and I loved how small the menu was, trust me less is more! Its probably one of the best spots in Galveston. The Empire, Baja and dirty south were my favorite tacos.

I feel blessed I had their food on the first day of 2022! I highly recommend this place but need to come early because sometimes they sell out! You will not be disappointed because you can taste the food prepared with love and freshness. The vibe here is like family and friends. Ill start by saying this is a place I wish Anthony Bourdain had visited. After a brief chat with the chef, while my wife and I ate our amazing fish tacos, it was clear chefs love of food and the story it tells about her life would have easily filled half an episode with Bourdain. The restaurant doesnt look like much... its a beach town... But upon entering we met a staff you feel you could be fast friends with but they still have just enough edge that you know they make amazing food. The flavors of each taco and special plate we ordered were all complex yet discernable. We ended up ordering more despite being full. I almost made a big mistake going with all shrimp tacos but the staff motivated me to try the amber jack (had a bad experience someplace else) and I was shocked how good it was and how fun the presentation was. They also mentioned how they source fish sustainably which is a plus. Must haves = one of every taco and a Thai tea. Wanted the special of the day but no room.

MUST MUST MUST EAT HERE!! We popped through Galveston after a holiday stay down island, and my foodie son picked Fish Company Tacos as our local place to try. OH EM GEEEEE! Where do we start . 1. Chef is right there to greet, answer questions, and absolutely create your next favorite meal. This aint your average taco stand! Its FUN, WELCOMING, FRESH AF and SO DELICIOUS!! 2. One might think Thai flavors might be a bit much for delicate seafood .NOPE! Chef knows exactly how to balance it all while keeping the seafood in the lead role! I havent heard this many yummy noises from my family in a very long time! 3. We couldnt decide on just two or three things, so we got SIX and expected to take leftovers .NOPE! We ate every single bite and elbowed each other out of the way to clean the plates (Perfect portions too no tiny bites here!) 4. They have the sweetest patio and set us up with ice water for our dog! (Didnt I mention welcoming?) 5. We were already planning our next trip down from Austin JUST TO EAT HERE while we were still sitting at the table! ITS THAT GOOD!! The extras?? They knew most of their customers by name, were perfectly attentive without hovering, and were playing music on theme for a heart centered reason. Real people here! Try it! Get there early! Cannot recommend this restaurant more. Have been here now 5 times, and each time, the food is more delicious than before, their specials continue to impress us. Most recently, we ordered our usual tacos, and ordered the bagel in addition. It was fantastic. They even brought out a piece of grilled fish for our dogs. They truly go above and beyond. Our favorites include the kimchi greens, the viet, baja, empire, dirty south, and korean tacos. The fish collar is also delicious but not always available depending on what the catch of the day is. Again, will visit this hole in the wall restaurant every time we are anywhere close to galveston.

Absolutely a must try!! I am not a huge seafood fan but this was fantastic. The fish of the day was Amberjack and I paired it with the Baja and Dirty South Tacos. My spouse tried the Vietnamese taco and all 3 you would not be disappointed. For the sides we ordered the caramelized brussels sprouts, Dads Pimiento Cheese Hushpuppies and Kimchi Braised Greens which were all delicious. Try the Thai Tea also. This restaurant was recommended to us by our Bed and breakfast and we were not disappointed at all. It is located on a side street in a very small shopping center. If we did not have our phones, we probably would have never found it. The guys inside were funny and we loved the story behind the Dads Pimiento Cheese. We will definitely be back when we visit Galveston.
