This is an eclectic and lovely part of town. There are great museums and beautiful homes literally almost anywhere you look. We spent a couple of hours just walking around and snapping pictures of a few that caught our eye. This small sampling may give some idea, but there is so much more to see. A really fun area.

The neighborhood was gorgeous and the tree sculptures were awesome! We were taking the self-guided tree sculpture tour, and my only complaint was that it doesnt seem to be up to date. There were a few tree sculptures we couldnt find because they seem to have been removed or damaged.

A neat district of beautiful homes from way back in the day. Shows a different side of Galveston and what it used to be. Worth the drive through the streets to see this place.

The East End District encompases the area between 19th, and 10th Streets and Broadway and Mechanic. Just drive through the streets here and you will see the architectural details of the historic homes, stained glass windows, welcoming porches and wrought iron fencing. The architecture in this area is of the Greek Revival style built during the 1850s. The homes here have stood the test of time and the elements.
