The Villas at the San Luis resort were above and beyond the best luxury getaway for couples who want to fully relax and be pampered. We were so astounded by how luxurious the accommodations were and how attentive the staff was to every need we had. We went there for a couple of nights in early September to get away after having months and months of issues with health and family emergencies etc. We just really wanted to go and be pampered and feel relaxed. That is exactly what was achieved when we went there. We had two people on staff, Bianca and Ivan, day and night that helped us with every need we had, especially with my fiancé on crutches. We were able to have transport any dinners we had, the staff made all of our reservations for us with restaurants and the spa, any special requests for drinks beverages and all happened seamlessly. Bianca and Ivan both were just two of the most genuinely sweet attentive people! My fiancé actually ended up proposing one evening when we were hanging out by the firepit near the pool because it was just such a romantic, amazing atmosphere and the time was right, and after that we had so many more special perks given to us by the staff to help us celebrate. We are so grateful for our time at the villas, and will most definitely be splurging to go back as soon as we can. Rooms: The rooms are sectioned into a living room, a bedroom, and then a very large bathroom with a walk-in shower, a extra large, soaking tub, two vanity spots and a private commode. Out on the porch, you have your giant whirlpool tub to yourself and two chairs and then the patio leads out to the private pool Nearby activities: Obviously being on Galveston, you have the beaches just across the street from the resort itself. There s also the boardwalk if you have kids with you, and if you want to just stay where you re at, there is the spa and several excellent restaurants at the resort and very near the resort Safety: I felt extremely safe the entire time I stayed at the villas, they have gates they have cards to get in, and at no point were there any noises or distractions that made me feel anything but secluded and safe Walkability: It is extremely walkable to get from the villas to the main resort, but if it s raining outside and its perilous, and you don t wanna get wet, you can arrange for a private drive up the hill to the resort Food and drinks: We went to grotto, Blakes bistro, and the steakhouse while we were there, and the steakhouse was by far the most luxurious experience with the best food of all three, but all three really were well run and had excellent service Noteworthy details: you can play different music in different parts of the villa at any time and also on the porch with the massive whirlpool you have control of your music and privacy

This was one of if not the best experience my wife and I had. Let me put it this way, we have traveled to multiple 4-5 stars resorts and the San Luis Villas is in our top 3. The Villas were exceptionally clean and the privacy we loved. The personal service that they provide is impeccable. The added bonus is that you get your own assigned parking spot. We will definitely be coming back!!! Rooms: Clean, private, and full of technology

I had the pleasure of staying there me and Archie Casselberry in villa five Mother s Day and I just wanted to say that Mary who took care of us was the best of the best the staff was amazing, but Mary went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of we ve already spoke to other people that is going to book because of the way Mary took care of us. We came as a couple on my birthday which was in the middle of the week (Wednesday Feb 21) and we were greeted by Bianca, a concierge for the villas, and her energy was top tier! She was so informative, helpful, and accommodating. My boyfriend had called her ahead of time to set up the room with flowers, balloons, and a cake and Bianca did not disappoint! It was such a beautiful villa alone and with the decorations even better. Patience is the bartender in the villas and she was so attentive and accommodating as well, so sweet and just went above and beyond. These ladies were such a great part of my birthday trip, thank you for making it so wonderful! We had breakfast in the villa and one night we stayed in and were able to order dinner to the room. Fantastic.

We chose the Villas to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary because we needed to stay close to home. Danielle and Sarah were very friendly and attentive. The dipped oreos, the monogrammed pillows, and the complimentary breakfast that are included are lovely touches. We enjoyed ourselves and we relaxed by the pool a whole lot. Overall we had a nice time. There were a few things that bothered me: Our room had broken doors on our patio that had been rigged up to still be able to close, but whatever they had added to the doors was not working. Maintenance had to come remove whatever it was and we just had to leave one side closed at that point, because there was nothing to stabilize that door if it were left open. Our hot tub also didnt work properly. The jets dont function. My husband was told that the hot tub panel needs to be replaced but they dont make panels for that particular hot tub anymore, so there was really nothing they could do. The sound system played our music from Bluetooth, but it had the music played by the villas going simultaneously, so something was off with that as well. This is also the first place weve stayed that didnt do anything special for our anniversary. I guess weve been pretty spoiled by the other places that weve stayed. Last but definitely not least, we returned from shopping to find a phone that did not belong to us, plugged in to one of our personal phone chargers. This was after housekeeping had been to the room. I find this to be completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Nobody should be in our room using our things. You would never experience this at other high end resorts. The concept of The Villas in terms of luxury, privacy, and exclusivity is great. Executing this whole concept so that it actually feels like it belongs at this price point is just a different story.

I really liked this hotel. Will definitely return in the future! Great view! My 1st room had food on the floor but my room they changed me to was perfect. No microwaves in room, can rent one for $10 per night. Room service food was good.

Casual luxury and attentive concierge service! We love that you have parking directly in front of the private fence surrounding the Villa complex. There was advance contact with concierge on duty about our stay and the items we would like in our refrigerator. We were encouraged to reach out by text to announce our arrival and were greeted warmly at the security gate and assisted with luggage. Couldn t wait to get in our suits and into that gorgeous pool! After a couple of hours in the sun and some refreshing adult beverages which were brought to us in the pool, we took a menu from the Grotto, an on-site Italian restaurant and sat on our patio by the hot tub. We placed our order with our concierge and just waited on our patio at a table that was set up in anticipation of our meal arriving. Total comfort, total relaxation. Ahhhhh! The meal was fabulous, try the Snapper Romano, we talked and talked over the meal and then got in the hot tub. Whatever you need, the concierge will try to make it happen. Many thanks to ours, Danielle snd Sarah and Katie. You ladies know your craft. And don t forget, your breakfast order needs to be placed so you can wake up to more delicious food and flawless service. Rest and repeat! It s a slice of heaven at the Villas. Planning our next trip back. :-)

Great relaxing secure facility with very attentive staff. Away from crowds only guest staying in villas allowed in that area . With only 4 villas with nice heated pool in common area and each villa has its own hot tub and gazebo.large bar in common area . We arrived and only left the property to make the very short walk across the street to the beach. Each villa has it own private parking easy access if you do want to explore the island. And did i say very attentive professional nice staff. I will frequent myself.

Over priced, lot cheaper if you go through a third party. Room are small for what I was charged and the shower/ bath not good. You get a microwave or fridge not both so ask before agreeing to a room. Views nice it gets a star but i expected more!

I am a mixed woman, Regina in customer service would not sell me, nor my friend a room. I felt extremely discriminated against. We arrived at 4 a.m, meanwhile I spontaneously wanted to see the sunrise off the beach, yet her computers were down; for 45 minutes. I asked to make a complaint proceeded to give me a piece of paper from the printer, just an all white paper. I rate them zero stars and unlike most of yall I will contact the founder; i feel our voice ethic people, does matter.

My birthday was ruined by staying at the Villas. All the details of our stay was sent to the Owner and manager. We recieved a call from the manager, he offered us his apologies and would give us one free night. We did not have one night ruined by the employees, we had a whole weekend ruined. We then told him that, he said he would see what he could do and we would be receiving something from him via mail. It has now been over a month since our stay and we still have not recieved anything in the mail nor any response from Chris Dennis the manager It was suppose to be the best birthday ever. As Ive never experienced anything like what this place is suppose to offer. If this is what thousands of dollars gets you between the villa, restaurants and the spa I think Id rather stay at super 8 or Hampton. We was stuck in our Villa and forgotten. I think this is ridiculous. We even stay often at the owners location in St. Charles gold nugget and drop plenty of money there as well. I suspect that this is exactly how this whole thing will end with a nasty taste in my mouth.
