Im a local Galveston guy and we go here frequently because the food is awesome. Highly recommend the loaded game day Nachos and the amazing Deviled eggs. After that your on your own but everything is so good. Service is excellent!

I recently visited the Brick House Tavern in Galveston, and I have to say, it was a terrible experience. Ive been a server for 12 years and understand what its like to deal with difficult people, which we are not so it was just unacceptable. The staff was incredibly rude, and the whole atmosphere was super uncomfortable, and pretty sure we saw our server talking bad about us to some people at the bar. I never, I mean NEVER leave bad reviews, but this experience was so bad that I felt compelled to share. Hopefully, it was just an off night for them.

Menu misleading. We ordered the shrimp and crabmeat nachos, but there were no shrimp or crab. Told the waiter and he said it was in the cream cheese. So it was cream cheese nachos, not shrimp, crab, cream cheese nachos. They were also missing the black beans, cilantro, and Monterey cheese So basically they served us chips with cream cheese, corn, jalapenos, with some iceburg lettuce thrown sloppily on top. The only good thing about our visit is that they are dog friendly

Do not order the mashed potatoes or the cole slaw here. Despicable! Also I needed to salt my own green beans after sending back the mash potatoes. It s clear a white person who does not regularly cook made this menu. And I am a white person. Drinks are good but service is really slow if you are sitting at the bar. Sadly I was disappointed in the food. We ordered chicken nachos as appetizer and there was hardly any chicken on it - no flavor. We hardly even touched our entrees. The pizza was very doughy and tasted like it came out of the microwave. Chicken burger/sandwich was not fully cooked. Only good entree was the pasta. It had great flavor and was a good portion. Atmosphere overall was good I would come back only for drinks.

We were from out of town, we sat at the bar watching the Texan vs. Bears game. It was calm, but the bartenders did not really tend to us. We ordered fish and chips, a great size fish, and it was very tasty. I ordered the wings, plain with buffalo sauce at the side. The wings were big and meaty. The beer was nice and cold. Plenty of seating and parking. Very clean establishment.

Good sports bar right by Galveston s sea wall. They have many TVs with different channels. They offer beer towers, which are a better option if multiple people in your party are ordering beer. Lots of options in the menu, some vegetarian dishes but limited. Waiting time to get our food after ordering was quite long but was not a problem since we were watching a football game. They got parking.

Had a great experience at Brick House Galveston today. Our waiter, Lester, was super friendly and helpful and seemed very happy to serve our table. The salmon was done perfectly. The ambience was very pleasant and welcoming, and we really appreciated the cool air conditioning on a hot Texas day. I highly recommend this place as a pleasant enjoyable lunch spot with a beautiful view of the beach. And it was a plus that all of the great sports programming was on multiple big screens.

So I walked into this restaurant and opened up the door and a pole fell on me from the door frame hit my head and my shoulder. I carried that pole into the restaurant and showed the hostess, who turned around to talk to the manager, and the manager did not even blink and I and didn t even care about my well-being or if anything was OK. Then I start asking for a business card and everybody ignored me and Didn t give me a business card until after I kept asking multiple times. They certainly don t care about their customers that come into the facility whether they re there to eat or get hurt we sat at the bar and nobody would address us until after we asked for attention. Even after my injury, they didn t even care enough to comp anything except for my wings lol

Best place on the island for draft brews. Lucky was our waitress, and she checked on us regularly. Enjoy the beers and dessert. Parking: Parking is limited during peak hours and on weekends. It is best to walk to the restaurant or take a ride service.

Service from Mia was Excellent! The drunken pork chops were fabulous as always, but the FLYS and bugs were just relentless! Were big fans of the Brick House (we go there often) but seriously this was just too much. 2 other tables near us asked for fly swatters. And, it was hot and humid inside. Just shut the patio bar window/wall at least for a little while during the hottest part of the day to let the a/c do its job and to cut down on so many bugs! We just packed our stuff up in to-go containers to keep the bugs off of our food. Disappointed today

We enjoyed the Brick house tavern so much we went twice. I had the shrimp salad the first visit and the shrimp was fantastic. I had a specialty burger the second day and it was fabulous as well. The drinks are hand made (not cheap mixes), and every one I tried was delicious. We were there during the Olympics so they had plenty of TVs to watch them on. We ordered, mvp and the only thing was the bread and the cooked cheese the other ingredients the waiter said they put them in when the pizza comes out of the oven. The service was slow and terrible. The waiter didnt care about my table. I spent a long time waiting to order food or wait for services from my waiter. Moreover, the head chef was very rude in words and tone in explaining the discount that we wanted. We are okay with not using the discount if it doesnt meet the restaurants policies, but Im not okay with the head chefs choice of words and gestures, who spoke to us like we was asking for free food. We are disappointed to be treated this way and hope the restaurant will improve.

We ordered over $100 worth of food. The Grilled chicken sandwich was cold and had bacon on it which we asked to have removed. The Burger we ordered was supposed to be the 4 patty colossal burger and got a 2 patty different type of burger completely. My crispy chicken sandwich was tolerable but the crispness was falling apart from the chicken and was luke warm. The kids meals were small and we had to order double to fill the kids. Mac n cheese was super small. We had the take back the grilled chixken sandwich and mistake of the burger. The alchohol strength Id also very weak compared to normal or most places with expensive prices youd find at an olive garden or Texas Roadhouse. Second to worse service and place Ive ever eaten at and they didnt even attempt to make it right except removing the food and taking it off bill. We came here because it had no wait compared to Rainforest of 2 hours and Joes Crab Shack of an 1 hr and now we know why. Avoid this place if possible. Even mcdonalds has better food and better prices for the amount than this place.

We stopped by for dessert after a swim at the beach. The service was amazing. The dessert was really good, but we could have definitely split it among the two of us. .....Avoid..... We order well over $200 of food. Beers kegs need replacing as they had no tops to them, and can tell its old. Hard drinks had little to bo alcohol to them. They served a bottle of mayonnaise that had not been refrigerated after opening. We asked how long it had been sitting out, and the server said it was just brought from the kitchen- Should have never trusted that! We both got food poisoning and were extremely sick for the last 3 days. Just an FYI: Mayonnaise contains dairy products and absolutely must remain refrigerated, it cannot go off-temp or it will spoil and cause serious illness. Lesson learned.

Our experience was disappointing. We arrived during happy hour on a Thursday at around 5:30pm. We took advantage of the happy hour deals that seems to have been scaled back compared to previous posts. Fewer choices and higher prices. I ordered a double drink and it came out very weak - turns out this establishment serves 1oz of alcohol in their drinks instead of the typical 1.5oz that most do. We ordered the kids mac and cheese for my daughter that included a kids drink - the mac and cheese is about the size of a easymac cup. My wife ordered the fish and chips with coleslaw. It came out without the coleslaw so she asked where it was. The waitress responded with we are out. No substitute. On a good note, our server was attentive and kind. The burger was well seasoned and cooked well. Me and the family wouldnt go back. I am sure the manager will respond to this by referring me to the companys complaint page so they can improve like all the other negative comments.

My second time here. First time I didnt care for my food but that was a couple years ago so I figured Id give them another shot. Restaurant is clean. There are tons of tvs. They have a nice patio area. My waitress was friendly. She checked on me several times. My food came out pretty quickly. The food was gross again. I got the shrimp salad and chicken noodle soup. The soup was very bland. My shrimp were under seasoned and over cooked. The croutons were spongy and had no seasoning. I didnt care for the dressing either. My bloody mary was ok. Plus its expensive. My soup and salad were $15.

If you are looking for a place with good food, dont go here. We got the fried calamari, and it wasnt that good. We then split a chicken fried steak, also not the best. I have had better. Service was decent. If you are looking for a place to drink and watch your favorite sport, then this is a good place. TVs everywhere. Plus, nice patio that gives you a view of the seawall.

It has become a tradition to come here one time a year during my birthday weekend and everytime it is always great! The food was great and the atmosphere was better! Ashley was a wonderful waitress and the food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back for more! [Edit: 4/11/2024] Once again, y all knocked it outta the park! Wonderful food, Great atmosphere and Saige was outstanding! Loved her energy!

The atmosphere is great, right on the water. Our server was also great. Food . . . Not so much. We were told everything is fresh made daily. Got soup and salad combo. Chicken noodle soup was made with canned chicken. It was a weird color and consistency. The dressing on the Thai salad tasted only like mayonnaise. Gross.

The food was pretty good all around. If you go, you have to try the fried devil eggs. If youre really brave and have a nice size group, you can order the tower of beer to share. It s definitely worth it. We say in the outside patio, and it has an awesome view of the beach and is great for people watching
