This place is always so delicious and the customer service is impeccable. We tried the garlic chilli naan and it was amazing. The samosas are some of my favorites I ve had. I wish they had central a/c, rather than fans. Sometimes it can make your napkin fly across the room. Haha

Was my first time here, but the great reviews encouraged me to try it for take out dinner yesterday! We ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken briyani, palak paneer and dal, plus naan. All were delicious, as well as packed well for transport. The proprietor was extremely pleasant. I did not give the atmosphere a 5, only because I imagine the space is not large enough to accommodate all of the people that will come for the wonderful food! Will be back soon!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while in the area and the food is absolutely amazing! It s not too spicy but still has a good kick. I can t really eat spicy food and this was just an incredible mix of spicy and flavor. We do not live close but we will be making the drive back here. The people who work there are also very kind and helpful. Great atmosphere!

Exceptional dining experience. During a recent lunch break while working in the Frisco area, I decided to visit the Famous Tandoori Halal restaurant after hearing great things about it. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the restaurants inviting ambiance. The space is not only beautifully decorated but also impeccably clean, setting a relaxing tone for the meal ahead. The customer service at Famous Tandoori is exceptional. The staff is attentive, caring, and really makes you feel welcome. Its clear they prioritize a great dining experience for their guests, and their hospitality adds a warm touch to the whole experience. For my meal, I ordered the tandoori chicken, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Its easily one of the best tandoori dishes Ive had in a long time. While I was fully satisfied with my meal, I couldn t help but notice they serve goat biryani, which I ve heard is a must-try. I ll definitely be coming back to try it soon! Overall, my experience at Famous Tandoori Halal was fantastic. With delicious food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere, I plan to visit again and again! Highly recommend.

Not gonna lie, I dont understand all the positive reviews. The tandoori chicken was nice, but everything else (Samosa, Parotta, Chicken 65, Chicken Curry) all felt/tasted cheap, mass produced, and like they came out of the freezers of a supermarket. Truly Mcdonalds-quality food. Save your money, if you want this food, just go to the supermarket freezer and get it there.

Have been here 6 times, twice with my American wife who loves Indian food. Ordered the lunch non-veg thali every time. Excellent value, outstanding service from both husband and wife. Food was very tasty incl. Samosas. While some reviewers say the food is bland we found it very spicy. So depends what you are used to. The vast majority of Indian restaurants in Frisco are South Indian. This one of the very few that serve North Indian/Pakistani food. Both are good for what they represent but South Indian restaurants cook North Indian dishes differently and vice versa. Depends on what your tastes run to. Both of us loved this place. The food was very flavorful, the service was great and great value. Our favorite Indian restaurant in the Frisco/Plano area

Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Biriyani (as you can tell, we like chicken). Whenever I feel the urge to eat flavorful and not overly loaded with spices that is made to order and served hot,v I dont even think twice to go to Famous Tandoori. The food is always prepared fresh, you can tell by the way the way it tastes. Never was a dish I felt wasnt upto the mark. I usually go on weekdays for lunch and order the lunch special. Both the vegetarian and non vegetarian options are equally tasty and the portions are generous. As a side note, please note that if you are in a hurry or if you are really hungry, this place will test your patience as the food takes about 15 to 20 minutes to be served after you order. I usually call up ahead and place the order so it would be ready by the time I get there. And also their lassies (yogurt drinks) compliment very well with the food. Definitely is my go to place regularly.

We got the Special Chicken 65 and a curry that was so good, but I didn t get the name. We got a plate of basmati rice, and complimentary garlic naan. We had some awesome conversation with the staff Nadir, he was super helpful in helping us decide. We said we want these flavors, and he said, this is what will satisfy. I love when they can make meaningful suggestions. He was excited to serve us with this being our first time here, and my first ever experience with this culture s food. All I could really taste was a strong taste of cream and the naan bread tasted almost burnt. I was also surprised that I was charged over $18 for a small container of chicken masala and one piece of naan bread and didn t receive any rice which I assumed came with the masala. I arrived around 7pm and their were a few people there and I waited a bit over 15 minutes. The service was fine and this was my first and last time coming to this establishment. Sad because I was really looking forward to some good Indian food.

I like this restaurant very much. The owners of this restaurant, as well as the store managers and staffs, are all very friendly. The place is very clean and neat. The food is very tasty. I go to this place frequently. I especially like the Chicken Tandoori and Lamb Pulao. I believe this restaurant has the best tandoori food you can find in the whole Dallas area.

The taste is very good, authentic. With main course like butter chix. they should include bowl of rice or basic naan. For the same price other restaurants are able to offer it. It is nuisance ordering this that and other.... Otherwise food and service is 5 stars.

Excellent!!! The food was great! My picky eater son ate it all. We had the chicken Dum Biryani, Paneer Tikka Masala, daal, plain naan and everything was absolutely delicious. The perfect combination of flavors. The owner let us tried the Halwa Puri (garbanzo) and for dessert he let us tried Kheer (rice pudding). Outstanding costumer service. A very welcoming place. We are not from the area but we will definitely drive all the way here. You won t regret it!!! Wheelchair accessibility: The ramps are right in front of the restaurant.

I was really excited to try this place, especially since so many reviews raved about the food. The flavor was good but the texture is terrible. The beef Nahari was extremely oily, I had to drain/remove that 1/3 inch layer of oil and the little bit of meat that was available was overcooked. I understand the dish needs to be cooked with oil but that was too much. The chicken 65 tasted like rubber, very tough and chewy. I couldnt eat it. The naan was okay. The staff was friendly, but it was alarming that a girl from the kitchen came out to undo her braid in the middle of the sitting area. And another employee was wearing flip flops. Mainly disappointed in the food and money wasted. Ill stick to Sawaii next time.

The lunch specials offer a TON of food for a great price, and their vegetarian options are absolutely delicious. Rich flavors, chill vibes, vibrant dishes, 5/5 Vegetarian options: Plenty of lunch options that are vegetarian. Incredible flavors, filling, and affordable! This place was sooo good. Ordered the chicken Tikka masala, chicken samosas, daal, and garlic naan. CTM was sooo flavorful and thick and creamy and yummy. Probably the best Ive had. Chicken samosas are pretty solid. Ive only had one other samosa I liked better from a different restaurant.I think its just personal preference - I dont like the thick doughy kind, I like the flaky ones, and these are flaky. Daal was good, and the garlic naan was delicious! I will be back the next time Im up north!

This is a great fast casual / quick service place. Order + pay, stay and eat. We had the chicken tikka misala with naan and rice, and it was great. We had an iftar special, an order of beef samosas. Crispy small samosas. Really good, just not sure if they re always available. I d consider take out as there aren t free refills drinks like sodas, teas, or water or dinnerware / silverware. Not the biggest fan of all things disposable when i dine in.

Disappointing = Important, the website menu is for California so if you go to Frisco, half the website menu offerings are missing leaving few choices. The Frisco location does have seating but it is essentially set up for take out. I have little faith in the Google reviews as I am uncertain about what location is being reviewed. Dont expect to return.
