Everything we ordered tasted excellent. Friendly Staff. Great prices! Small suggestion: The place could use a little upgrade (our seat cushions were ripped) and maybe do a thorough cleaning. The menus were sticky and table/floors had crumbs.

I have never been to Rockfish before, and was hesitant to try it. Boy am I glad I did! Aly B was our server, and she was FANTASTIC!! Charismatic, kind, attentive, and a fellow foodie, she knocked it out of the park with her amazingly friendly service. The food was the icing on the cake! We tried the crab cakes, split the Fry Me to the Moon plate, and shared the blueberry crème brûlée for dessert. Chefs kiss! 10/10 would recommend, and definitely ask for Aly B if she s there, and tip her well! One of the hands down best server experiences I ve ever had.

I am a bit disappointed. Everyone was, to be honest. I came with twelve others. We were a large group, and I understand that, but despite some of us ordering before we got appetizers, several tables, including a party of five, got their food before us (we waited nearly over an hour and a half), they gave us two messed up plates, and nobody told us there were pineapples in an order, so my uncles allergy quickly became a concern. When asked for a general managers phone number, we were given the restaurant number, and to make things worse, the present manager hardly apologized. She made excuses every time my older family members confronted her (which made me (M21) quite cross). I didnt say much, but my irritation was likely visible on my face. Mackenzie was a pleasure; though, making a new hire handle the biggest table in the building was a terrible decision. It makes me feel like they set her up for failure. The management is clearly disorganized in a rush, and since we were recommended this restaurant by locals during our family trip, the experience truly was a tragic end to an otherwise productive day. I am partly to blame for my high expectations, but Rockfish did not meet the standard today.

I walked in to pick up my food and was ignored for about 20 before the bartender came and took my order. Not only did I have to wait almost an hour when they said 15 minutes my food was cold. This has happened more than once to me so now I know. Horrible service

Very nice place. I had the fish and fries. My fish had a weird taste to it. I tried taking the crust off an eating just the fish, still had a weird taste. It almost tasted like it was freezer burnt. Husband had the gumbo an rice and his was great he said. The manager was very nice and apologetic an took my meal off the ticket. I didnt ask for that but, he did see I didnt eat majorly of my food. Will try something different next time. Very nice place. Waiter was also very good.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. They have an abbreviated lunch menu along with their regular menu. I had the lunch menu fried shrimp basket and she had the regular menu grilled redfish with the harvest salad and hush puppies. We arrived around 1:30pm, so we avoided any lunch crowds. The food was quite good for a mid-tier seafood restaurant. It was delivered hot, the grilled fish had nice grill marks and was not dried out. My fried shrimp was panko crusted and very well done. We like seafood and Rockfish is an affordable alternative to some of the higher-end seafood restaurants in the DFW area and does not lean to a mostly Cajun offering. We go fairly often and there have been some variations in how well the food has been prepared and on one occasion we ended sending a dish back, but Rockfish did the right thing by replacing the dish with a freshly prepared plate and then comping same. The rating is based upon this particular visit and Rockfish being what it is - a neighborhood seafood place with affordable pricing, a decent selection of menu items (not all are fish/shellfish), a full bar and a number of specials at various times along with a happy hour. We will go back.

Good pricing for seafood. I had the blackened salmon which was tasty, my partner had the catfish which could ve been seasoned a little more (most places around here could do this) and fried a little harder, and we shared a shrimp appetizer which was great. Our server was very friendly, answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. They were pretty speedy with getting the food out. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid options, high chairs available

The food is amazing! My parents came to town and I took them right on over yesterday. I don t think Rockfish has ever let me down on taste. Sautéed spinach, Red potatoes/new potatoes are lovely, and the okra is delicious. My favorite meal is the tilapia Oscar. I used to eat this a few times a week. Always fresh! Best group of folks I ve ever met. I worked there for several months getting back on my feet after leaving my corporate job. Prev restaurant experience under my belt def helped :). From the GM Jeremy to every single person back of house I rarely ever had a bad day with this crew.

We had been to the Mckinney location before so while passing thru Frisco decided to give this one a try. Huge disappointment! The appetizer ( bombs) was the only good thing we received. My blackened red fish was burnt. Theres no reason you should have to use a knife to cut through fish! The potatoes in the green beans had an awful off-putting taste and the green beans were rubber. My husband had to really work at unpeeling his shrimp, they were overcooked, again rubber. Had to ask for refills on our drinks, even though they werent busy. The floors were extremely slippery and the womens bathroom was a dumpster fire! Trash all over the floor, just terrible. Would not recommend. I wish we had went somewhere else as we both left hungry after a $80 bill. It should be shameful to ruin food and send it out to customers.

Their blackened shrimp is to die for, their crab legs were yummy everything taste fresh ,and the place is really cute. When I want seafood casually , the only place I m going to go is here . Anyone who looks at my other reviews will see I am picky about my seafood experiences, and seafood being my favorite. I am perplexed why this place is not rated higher. This is one of the closest seafood places to where we live, and has kind of become our go to when we want some seafood but not have to drive more than a couple-to-few miles. Every time weve gone here, service was spot on. Never had a bad experience server-wise, never had to wait too long, never been over-checked on, and food has been good every single time. Only complaint is a minor one, and is that sometimes they run out of something... like last time they were out of the Seafood Cocktail. But does not happen too often, and theyve never run out of the crabcakes that I always order. Really good crabcakes, wife loves their mussels. Nothing has ever been terrible, and insanely reasonable prices for seafood.

I had a hard time convincing my son to go here because he doesnt like going to seafood places Because we live in land but because it was my Birthday today I got to pick the restaurant that I wanted to go to and I picked rockfish. I was very, very pleased with everything. The service was excellent I had the. Tilapia Oscar style with the red beans and rice and orzo I was so happy with my food and I was even more happy because my son and the rest of the family liked everything that they got will definitely go back. I just ordered two dishes from uber eats and it was terrible. The shrimp had a gummy/strange texture. The ettoufee tasted terrible. The snapper was rubbery and over cooked. My family and I went here after leaving the dealership. We got hung up at the dealership longer than expected and made it to Rockfish at 9:20, they stopped taking orders at 9:30. The only thing I do not recommend is the etouffee, It was very bland. The receptionist was not happy about us coming in 10 minutes before they stopped taking orders and made it blatantly obvious. I had a very unpleasant experience at this location. The Mgr Kyle refused to honor a special they had on all the tables and bar. I felt discrimination as a black woman alone with 4 other customers who witnessed his unprofessional managerial experience. I did reach out to corporate office and awaiting a response . This is the attached special. One of the customers even offered to pay the difference and he quoted him an additional $25. Poor service and discrimination related.

Absolutely the best seafood in the Frisco area. The quality and portions are excellent and is reasonably priced. Everything was super delicious. Not on menu but the serve crispy onion strips with an appetizer called The Bomb and the are unbelievably delicious with dipping sauce. An A-1 seafood Cajun restaurant. If i could give Rockfish Frisco 10 stars I would. My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week, sometimes twice. The crawfish... is the BEST in north Texas. Each time we have visited Rockfish the service has been outstanding! Oysters are also amazing here, as well as the redfish pontchartrain. Jasmine who works behind the bar is our favorite, and she always greets us with a smile. Jeremy, the manager goes above and beyond for the guests and is always taking that extra step to make our time at Rockfish the best.

Needed a good dinner after a rough Sunday and wow did these guys deliver. We came from Hawaiian Bros which was not impressive. Parker and Jay were awesome, service was fast, cozy seating, and the food was unbelievable. Shared the Shrimp and Louis Salad and Fry me to the Moon. Everything was fresh, seasoned, and hot. Plus 2 shots of Absolut and a bloody mary. Finished off with a key lime pie + double chocolate brownie. Never had a brownie that good and the pie was fantastic. Couldnt ask for a better Sunday dinner!

I eat here at least twice a week. Everything is always delicious, from the gumbo appetizer to the deep-fried bread pudding. It s a hidden gem in every sense of the word.

I gave 2 stars because my Mother and I ate the food. When I brought it home we were both underwhelmed by how small the serving of everything was. From the bread, to the pies, and even main courses. If you want seafood go elsewhere. It wasnt made very well. I can tell the cooks arent from Louisiana and maybe never been. We wont be back spending almost 60 dollars for this skimmed meal. Just go to Pappadeaux. At least youll get what you pay for there.

Brussel sprouts were delicious and hot. Red beans and rice good and at decent temperature. My combo however only the catfish was hot. Fries were cold, fried shrimp was cold and no cocktail sauce. I dont know what was wrong with the slaw either. It was wilted and didnt look fresh. When you spend nearly 50.00 on an order to include paying for the meal, giving my nice delivery guy a tip, taxes, delivery charges etc patronizing an establishment...I only ask that the food is prepared and sent out the way you would want to eat it. Hot and fresh. Its only right.

7 tables occupied and no wait On a Saturday night should have indicated something to us. I counted about five waiters. Why does it take 25 minutes to take our order? Why does our waiter keep disappearing and the restaurant appears to be empty even though we know theres many waiters. Where are they all? Our waiter disappears for half the meal and all I wanted was another condiment. It never showed up even at the end of eating. Why is the service so horrible?Where is everybody and why are they all in the back -- what are they doing? I know what theyre not doing. Theyre NOT WORKING. Whoevers the manager here should be fired. Its the worst rockfish Ive ever been to, Im done! By the way the food was good.
