Just tried to have dinner here tonight and couldnt get anyone to help us. Host sat us at a dirty table outside which was super weird because there was clean ones all around us. Waitress keeps walking by not making eye contact with us at all. So we keep sitting. Another couple gets sat near us outside and she instantly goes over to them and takes a drink order and then the guy brought them chips and salsa. We finally got up and walked out. The menu looked over priced and now we are headed to Chuys up the street!

The service is consistently bad. We have been there 3 times. The last time was today at 1:30. The restaurant was not at all busy and they were adequately staffed. Our waiter brought me the wrong drink twice. He got our order wrong & never corrected it. Our drinks or chips ( crumbs) were never refilled. He never asked us if there was anything else he could get us nor did he inquire how our food was. The food was good, but not good enough to outweigh the extremely poor service.

Service was very slow and we had to wave her down a few times. Our quesadillas and chicken tacos took over 30 minutes and were delivered by an abrupt dude and cold. Sent my tacos back and came back but had no flavor. Probably not going back.

Went there for lunch. Our table was dirty and had to ask the waiter to wipe it off. My fork was also dirty. My friend got the chicken quesadilla which was good but I got the steak and chicken fajitas which came with some thick pieces of tough steak with a propane flavor. Definitely not worth $25 for such a small portion. The queso was okay but a served a little cold. With so much great Tex mex in Frisco they need to step their game up. Don t think I ll be back here.

We love Uncle Julio s. This was our first time to the one in Frisco. Wait to get seated was quoted at 25 minutes, took 65 minutes. Once seated we ordered two Margaritas. Took 30 minutes. They were made wrong. Our waiter and manager were very nice and removed the drinks. Fajitas were excellent!

Dined in last night and everything was amazing! We were a group of 7 without a reservation and they accommodated us within 15 minutes. Our server Mario was incredible. He was attentive and helpful and such a joy to have at the table. The food was outstanding. We all ordered different things and kept trying each others entrees and each dish was unique and full of flavor. I highly recommend the Barria quesadillas and the fajitas with their homemade fresh tortillas. I wish we took pictures but we devoured everything before we even had a chance!

The amount of chicken, steak, and shrimp for the fajitas could have been more since these items were so expensive and the fajita combo came with only one little scoop of guacamole. They only bring rice and beans if asked. Kind of sad. Service was great though!

Overall, the food was amazing we got an appetizer chicken quesadilla, and immediately you noticed the cheese was of good quality. Also, the main course we got carnitas fajitas was amazing. For drinks, we got frozen mango margaritas. As soon as you walk in the personnel is very attentive and the servers gave us great service. I will recommend this place!

I had an outstanding dining experience at Uncle Julio s. The drinks, especially their unique tequila hemp cocktail, are exceptional and available in only three places in Texas. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, catering to all tastes. Customer service was top-notch, with special praise for Khurram, the manager, who ensured everything was perfect. His professionalism and friendliness truly enhanced our visit. Highly recommend Uncle Julio s for its excellent drinks, delicious food, and superb service. I look forward to returning soon!

Went for a luncheon at Uncle Julio s with some girl friends. I enjoyed the hospitality, super great service and ambiance! It was a neat establishment and well ventilated for how hot these past months were 9/10 is my over all. The 1 is because the food was a bit bland. Idk if that s how their recipe is set up or if maybe that s their whole vibe but the pico de gallo was tasteless and the sauce needed salt. Maybe it s just me.

This is a disheartening review to write. We loved Uncle Julio s when we lived in Chicago. This is the second time we visited this location and we tried Allen location. Both locations have service issues. We are giving up after today. We are done with Uncle Julio s. After a long wait, not because it was super busy, but because there wasn t enough staff and so they were pacing the seating. After long wait, it took 10 minutes to be greeted by the server at the table. And hire another bartender please! Got food and finished eating before drinks arrived. Took nearly 40 minutes for a margarita. The bartender had a full bar because it s open seating and they were pacing the tables so everyone went to the bar. Service was bad last time but even worse this time. It s not worth it.

May be able to update after eating at the restaurant. Weird that I called ahead at 720p and was told to come in 45 mins just to find out that they had set a 815 reservation. Hostess was not interested in any discussion around why we were not told our reservation was at this time. We will see. Just starting out sketchy. Still hanging out at 825. Other parties seem to have same problem. Leaving to go somewhere else. At 825, restaurant says another 20 mins. Too many other restaurants. Update: I reached out to management after they promptly replied to my review. They invited us back and made sure to take care of us. Food and drinks were good. Service was great. I will need to try them again, but not when they were expecting us.

I placed a takeout order today and the shift team missed to put the main item prompting the visit today - the roasted salsa!! We arrived home ~ 40 mins each way and made the discovery! Immediately, I called the store to notify of the situation because their salsa and my gluten-free chips are married and had no intention on divorcing today. The manager on duty corrected the mistake and yes of course, I drove back 40 mins to get this roasted salsa (it s so good). This review is to spotlight the above and beyond customer service and empathy from the 8/18/2024 manager on duty. He maintained a nice attitude and tone throughout and was super understanding of the driving inconvenience to return trip. Plus, he remembered my gluten allergy when it came to the chips (yes guys those chips are not gluten-free I learned the hard way, corn does not mean gluten free). Thank you Uncle Julio s Frisco for demonstrating what authentic customer service looks like in 2024 and beyond. I appreciate it!

Had heard a lot about Uncle Julio s so decided to try it out. While the food was alright the service was sub par. The AC wasn t functioning properly - we informed our hostess and she said lot of customer have complained and we have cranked it low now. But it remained uncomfortable hot throughout our meal! Little things such as being made to wait even with tables ready, not getting the kids menu by default, not being given the to-go bags, etc. piled on to the already poor experience. With a bunch of other great Mexican restaurants around I would likely never visit this outlet again.

We have been eating at Uncle Julios (Ft. Worth and North Dallas) for years. We tried this new one in Frisco. We were very disappointed. No brunch and a limited menu compared to the others. They aren t ready yet. We tried them out on a Saturday around 4pm before the rush. The chips came out almost instantly, the waiter finally came around 10 mins later and took our drink order. We decided to order our dinner as soon as he took our drink order because of the delay. Well that didn t work out because it took 45 mins for us to get our food after he brought us our drinks. We went through 2 bowls of chips and one refill so our hunger died out. It did come out hot and sizzling which was nice but the skirt steak (we ordered chicken and skirt steak) was pretty raw in the middle, so much it had that raw/soft chewy texture. Apparently it was the managers birthday so maybe everyone was occupied with his celebration because 10 mins to see your waiter for drinks and 45 mins after that to get one dish was just too long. They weren t even busy. Glad we didn t visit during peak hours. Think we will skip on visiting this location because the one in Ft Worth is Great!

I have been to many uncle julio locations but this one has definitely stood out to me for many reasons. First the facility itself is very clean & inviting. Second, I did sit at the bar & the bartender Landon was so professional, very punctual, great personality, and very easy to talk too. 7.12.24 After replying honestly again about my dissatisfaction, Mohammed had a manager come over and he comped half the meal. 7.11.24 ~ 5pm ~ Mohammed is a good server. The food was the only good thing here. The place is stuffy and warm, and the service was beyond terrible. You can tell the wait staff is not happy to be there and there is no culture of welcoming the guests. Mistakes were made with the food as well as the check amounts. Planned a large dinner for 9 which turned to 12 at the last minute at 6:30 on a Tuesday, the staff here were very accommodating and let us use a great area. Wonderful place for a team meal with many allergen options, as someone who s gluten free, I appreciated the options and the willingness of the servers to check up on meals. Had the opportunity to visit Uncle Julio s in Frisco for my Birthday. Visiting from Canada and travelling with Family local to the area. When we arrived as a group of >10, the house staff required a couple extra minutes to get a table set for us. During that time, the Hospitality Manager (Khurram) along with the house staff took the time to get to know our family and our dietary restrictions/allergies. Despite minor hiccups such as the wait for a table beyond the restaurant s control, this location deserves the full 5 stars given across the board for their attention to detail and customer experience provided. It made for one memorable birthday and I will make it a point to visit this location again on future trips to Dallas. Thank you to the wait staff for the amazing service.

I had probably the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time .and It happened TWICE and at TWO different Uncle Julio locations!!! Strap in because this requires a detailed explanation: First Location (Frisco Mall): It started off great but ended horribly. I called in same day to make a reservation for 12 people. A friends mother had passed away and some of her friends wanted to take her and her husband out for dinner the night before her mothers funeral. I had already been turned down by a couple of restaurants for a 7 pm reservation because they had said they did not take same day reservations, but we could be accommodated if we wanted to come in and wait to be seated. Uncle Julios told me we could have a reservation for 12 people at 7:30. Great!!!! Our entire party was there by 7:30, but it was around 8 pm or later before we were seated (exactly what I was trying to avoid which is why I made a reservation). Thankfully, my friend s father (who had just lost his wife) decided to stay at the hotel as he was the whole reason for a 7pm reservation and 7:30 was pushing his dinner. The waiter was struggling from the first. He took forever taking our drink orders and it was almost 8:30 before he took our food orders. Drinks took 30 mins to get to the table and multiple drinks were completely forgotten. I had to ask about one drink order three times and it was almost an hour between the time I ordered it and when it arrived. Some friends just started going to the bar to get their drinks. By 9:15, we still do not have our food. The waiter stopped by to apologize for the delay and promised food would be right out. It was not. Around 9:35, we finally got our food. My beef fajitas were a weird gray color and looked like they had been boiled and the chicken was dry. Another friend s beef fajitas looked they hadn t even been cooked (a true rare). Other dishes had issues too, but that is just too much detail to go into for this review. In sum, everyone at the table had issues with something being wrong with their meal and/or not receiving their drinks on top of the huge time delays. Finally, one of my friends had enough and he asked to speak with the manager. The manager apologized and his response was that it was a new waiter, and he had another 8 top. To which my friend responded with, then that is a management issue because why would you give someone that had only worked as a waiter for one week our table and an 8 top at the same time??? The manager did take off the overcooked and under cooked fajitas and gave us the piñata dessert, but the service did not even improve after the complaint. Needless to say, it was a miserable experience from start to finish and I think more could and should have been done after the issues were brought to the attention of the manager. I really liked Uncle Julios and was not completely dissuaded. At this dinner, I even tried to convince my very unhappy friends that maybe our bad service and food was because that location just opened and was still working out the kinks. This brings me to my second encounter with Uncle Julios in the same weekend . see Addison/Keller Springs Location

They were so helpful and their beautiful smile did not leave their faces. we were a group of 30. Gwyn and Jason were attending to all our food orders and needs. Mr. Khurram Q. the manager was extra helpful, he made sure our guests were taken care of, room AC temperature was comfortable for us, music volume level, and lighting setting was perfect. Took forever to get our order in. Only got 1 refill of our drinks; we sat with empty drinks for some time. Food came out and it was very good. The waitress was great and handled my son s food allergies well. But due to her having so many large groups we had to ask other servers to help. To be fair, they recently opened, and are working out the kinks. That being said, way too slow and inattentive. Took 15 minutes for our server to initially get to our table. 15 more minutes before we got our appetizer. And right now waiting on the entree, 50 minutes since we sat down, still no entree. I d suggest you wait to come here, at least a few months, so they can figure out how to run a restaurant. I won t be back until September, when school is back in session, and it won t take 2 hours to have a meal.

Loved it! The restaurant is beautiful and so cool inside with all the different rooms that split up and make for cozy atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The food was spot on and if you are a long time Uncle Julio s fan, if you don t see your favorite thing on the menu, which has changed, just ask! They were able to meet all of our special requests for some of our old school faves! Food was fresh and hot. We have grown to now love both of the salsa options. Tableside Guacamole was fantastic. We had the nachos especial, beef enchiladas w/ chili sauce (must ask for Chile con Carne / carne sauce ), chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce (must ask for sour cream sauce). Beef Fajitas and Chicken Fajitas best in town! Kitchen manager, Juan, brought our food out. He actually remembered us from another Julio s location. All food was fantastic, obviously a great kitchen team! All meals were amazing. Rice was great. Charro beans were great. Flour tortillas still amazing and freshly made. Very busy like Julios was pre Covid days. It felt good We love that it s staying so busy. Can t wait for the patio to be ready! It s a weekly thing for us if they keep up this great food and service. BTW We loved all the management team. They stopped by our table several times to check on us and recognized that we were just there a few days prior. Fernando is the GM we met during our first visit then again today. Really love his demeanor and kindness and he stays as busy as a server! Rare to see that kind of hustle from a GM! Impressive. Also met a manager Khurram we loved him too. Khurram checked on us several times (and tables around us) to be sure our experience was a good one. Julio s has truly stepped us their game! I admit, I did not have high expectations. You know...ho hum, just another TexMex place. BUT...I was more than pleasantly surprised! We didnt make a reservation so when we rolled in on a Friday during dinner time I didnt expect to be seated. So, we put our name on the list (told it would be 45min - 1hr). I decided to get a drink at the bar while we waited and the bartender (DQ) said I we could get the full menu at the bar and our underage daughter (16yo) could sit there too. DQ and Landon (sp?) took care of us and they were fantastic! We had three different flavors of fajitas (carnitas, barbacoa and shrimp). ALL were awesome and had different flavor profiles! Queso as on pointe (think we should have added the meat to it). Margs were fantastic. Started with the El Jefe (had just the right amount of spice) but really liked the Watermelon (suggested by DQ). Went with some friends over the weekend for a mini celebration. I was quite excited to come to this location, as I d been driving to either the Addison or Dallas locations to eat in the past. Let me start off by saying our server was really great and attentive. However, the food was definitely lacking in quantity. I ordered shrimp and steak fajitas, and received some of the most measly looking shrimp and the tiniest portion of steak. The food barely covered the bottom of the fajita plate. On top of that, I was kind of surprised to learn that rice and beans weren t standard with my order. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but when compared to my experience ordering the same dish in Addison last December, definitely disappointed. Disappointing visit. We should have known better when the hostess told my wife and I that they were short staffed as we checked in at the front desk. The wait for a table was about 20 minutes. Not as long as some places, but there were only two other couples waiting when we arrived. The music is played too loud and we were right under a speaker. It was hard to hear the waiter much less talk to each other. We were given water and chips but when we ordered, the waiter didnt ask what we wanted to drink, just pushed the alcoholic drinks. It was a while before I was able to get his attention to ask for some iced tea while we waited for the food. While we waited, we were told once again by the waiter and again by the manager walking around that they were short staffed, sorry for the wait. Meanwhile, seemingly two dozen employees walked constantly around us which added to the hectic feeling and noise. My wife and I contemplated leaving but the food arrived just in time. The food is decent but unremarkable. Nothing to write about it. I gave yall a shot. Wont be back.

Experience was alright not the best but alright the host was kind enough to give me a glass of water. The food was seasoned horribly enough that I had to drink after every bite. The bartender who I guess was just leaving named as Landon was rude to my partner that he placed my clothes napkin with kindness but then he got to him and he just threw it like it was gonna place itself. I saw a comment/review about an interviewee complaining on how long they take for job interviews and I can confirm that s true. The reason we ate after waiting and still him not coming to interview him was to add more to the awful customer service, food, atmosphere, and a bunch of employees working everywhere you walk and still nothing seems to go right around this place. Communication sucks as you all can see. The only nice thing I can say is the bathrooms were very clean at least that you get. And Mr. Ben was magnificent I suppose. The host too. Not worth a dime. Ohh and also so much that hiring manager wanted/asked my partner on his first interview if he had lots of followers on instagram or any social media ..why? Well after reading all there reviews they crave good reviews but just know I ll make sure you get a bunch of bad reviews thank you .

We came in tonight to celebrate our 2nd Adoption-versary of our seven kiddos. The kiddos have been begging to go for over a year to get the chocolate pinatas. The management was fantastic - getting us in on a busy Friday night and our waiter was top notch! The Chocolate Pinatas did not disappoint!! Huge, full of goodness and the kids loved them!! Hubs and I got margaritas - so good! He got the swirl with a Triple Sec chaser and I got the El Jefe. So good!! Highly recommend this fantastic place for your family, or a date night. Last night I was at Uncle Julio s, btw the place is beautiful. My only concerns are me and my family were enjoying our meal. Out of no where we hear yelling coming from kitchen area. It caught everyone s attention servers immediately scattered out from the kitchen. From what I heard was very unprofessional behavior and foul language was involved. I truly don t understand the situation going on back there. Although yelling and cussing at the employees in front of guess isn t needed, nor looks good for anyone. Booked ahead and when I arrived only had to wait 5 minutes or so. They were uber busy so that was nice. We were sat at a table for 6 although we only had 4. Shortly after a manager advised us we were sat at the wrong table. He politely asked if we mind moving to a smaller table and also offered us appetizers as compensation. Disappointing Experience at Uncle Julios in Frisco, TX Ive been visiting Uncle Julios in Keller for over 28 years, and the food has always been spectacular. However, todays visit to the Frisco, TX location was the third time in less than a month that Ive experienced subpar service. The waitress made several consecutive errors, such as bringing my straw with her bare hands and taking my margarita order incorrectly twice. While she is young and still learning, the real issue was with the manager, Fernando. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable. When I explained the situation and mentioned that I ve been a loyal customer for years, I expected some form of compensation. Instead, his response was not only dismissive but also condescending. He implied that I would only get a discount if I left a positive review. I dont care about the discount; I care about the level of service Ive grown accustomed to. Unfortunately, I have an event scheduled at this location next week, but I am highly disappointed and frustrated with the service.

We had a fabulous time! The manager touched the table! He wanted to make sure we were satisfied! Everything was delicious! We were! This separates the best restaurants from the others! When the leadership is also active in the restaurant it speaks volumes. Had 6:15 reservations for Mother s Day. Arrived a few minutes early, seated at 6:15 in 3rd booth from hostess stand. Greeted , ordered food, something was off I had skirt steak fajitas, wife enchiladas. Yet since 3:30AM I have either been on toilet or bad stomach ache after alka seltzer so much so I am not able to work today. We have eating at Uncle Julios many times off Tollway and Allen. It may have either been bowl of beans or guacamole but I am sick as a dog. Danggit Frisco never again!! Update- I was diagnosed by my PCP with food poisoning probably from the guacamole or salsa and given 4 prescriptions costing $31 and yet to hear from management.
