My parents I have been coming here since this place opened. It s a down home, country restaurant. They love the salmon and cobbler. The food is wonderful. The service used to be amazing until their recent experience with John. At their last visit, he was rude, ugly and disrespectful to them and they do not want to return as a result. My dad simply asked for bread and John yelled at him in response screaming at my sad who has a of gold Don t talk to me that way! This breaks my heart as they have loved coming here for years and have never experienced service like this. I understand going through personal thing, however, leave that at home and do your job. Don t take it out on my parents or anyone else! I hope he is reminded that you can t treat people this way because someone asks for bread or anything what. They are elderly and did not deserve this treatment. Nobody does.

The food was great. Their service was top notch. Their fried food selection was delicious. Especially for a fried food fan likr myself. Their deserts were also awesome, one of my favorites was the Butter Cake. It just melts in your mouth. Its really a great place for friends and family! Would go again! Plus, shout out to Dade who was a great waiter.

The meatloaf was exceptionally small. 2.2 x 1. x .7, dry as wood, and nearly ice cold! The chicken and dumplings was gravy soup with no chicken and 2 dumplings that were the size of a marble. The peach cobbler-stone... No Words. All for nearly $50. Should have stuck with Cracker Barrel. The first and the last!

It was my first time here he recommended the pork chops and I got that with a side of mash and macaroni and cheese the pork chop and the mash were wonderful the mac and cheese came out a little on the cold side not cold but not hot . I also ordered the fried mushroom and green tomatoes which were very good I recommend them any day. but other than that everything was amazing the staff was great very friendly very courteous very prompt.

We recently had a chance to dine at Cotton Patch after a long absence. Wow! They knocked it out of the park. We always loved the food and it was amazing, including the rolls. The best treat was our waitress Olivia. Her timing was excellent. At our request, we learned a little about her life. She is such an asset to that restaurant that we had to tell their manager Julie. She was very appreciative of the good feedback as it is not always what they receive in the business. Keep up the great work Cotton Patch. Hoping to have Oliva wait on us again.

First time, we will definitely become regulars. Food was delicious, made me feel at home with my grannies home cooking minus having to help do the dishes. I got the special for the day which allowed for 6 sides! Best decision. Those garlic mashed potatoes are fuel for the soul. Fried pickle chip fan? Get those! Relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Excellent service, our waiter was very friendly and so was everyone else that checked in on us. Clean bathrooms is always a special bonus. Highly recommend.

Ive been going here weekly for the past 6-9 weeks for lunch, and I either bring my family or my entire work team- the food quality is consistently good and service is consistent. The pricing I find to be pretty fair, amidst inflation. They have a pretty good Sirloin on the menu that makes Cotton Patch a favorite stop every week, given that its always cooked medium rare as requested and seasoned properly. For $16ish, its pretty unbeatable. I will continue visiting this location!

In fact, chicken fried steak is a special on Mondays for just $9.99 and it is delicious. I always get fried okra with it, and it instantly brings me joy. Update as of Aug 2024 - The wait staff went above and beyond with my two girls. The girls decided to doodle on my arm with some magic markers they had, and the wait staff seeing this all eventually volunteered to get their own custom tattoos from them. It was such a spontaneous and wholesome experience for my two girls, and it really speaks to character of the staff here. Food was also excellent as well. Highly recommend this place!

My experience with Daniel as our server was disappointing to say the least. From the moment we were seated, his demeanor was uninterested and aloof. He took our drink orders with a sigh, as if it was a burden to him. Throughout the meal, he rarely checked in on us, and when he did, he seemed impatient and annoyed when we asked for simple requests like more water or condiments. The worst part was when our food finally arrived, which took longer than expected. Daniel brought out the wrong dish for one of our party members and instead of apologizing, he blamed the kitchen staff and said it wasnt his fault. He made no effort to rectify the mistake promptly, leaving us waiting even longer while the rest of us started our meals. When it came time to pay, Daniel seemed to rush us through the process, practically throwing the bill on the table without asking if we wanted dessert or anything else. Overall, his lack of professionalism and poor attitude seriously detracted from what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. I would not recommend having Daniel as your server if youre looking for good service and a pleasant dining atmosphere.

The Cotton Patch is one of my favorite places to go. It is homemade cooking, just like mamas, at its finest. I especially enjoy their chicken fried steak, and blackened tilapia; Of course the vegetables are fresh and inviting as is their stewed apples. On Sunday, I tried, for the first time, their delivery service. It was pouring rain and I just didnt want to get out in it. I tried to talk myself out of the Chicken Fried Steak I had been dreaming of for weeks, but finally gave in and called. The meal showed up on time, well-packaged...and the driver was smiling and friendly, even making the delivery in all that rain! Yes, I had to warm it up a little to turn the warm into hot...but I expected that. The meal...as always was spectacular. Ill definitely do delivery again, although I love the ambiance of The Cotton Patch. Give them a try...you wont be disappointed.

How does this place stay in business. One of 3 couples in there on a Friday night. All staff wanted to do was play in the kitchen and yell and scream. Sat there 15 min before even our drink order. Cheese fries came out cheese not melted. Broccoli rice casserole had NO broccoli in it. Potato soup you could eat with a fork. Watched our waiter leave with another guy and was gone 20 min. No one checked on us during this time. How would they handle a rush if they ever got one.

I do NOT recommend and we will not come back to this restaurant. The hostess/waitress gave us a negative attitude when I asked her that we would prefer to sit by the window rather than the table right in front of the bathroom where you can clearly see people go in/out of and smell chemical cleaners from it. We ended up leaving the restaurant because we were clearly ignored by all of the staff. We sat and waited for longer than 30 minutes, without anyone talking to us or offering us drinks. I will also point out that there were other servers in there that were just standing around so I felt like they were ignoring us on purpose. We left hungry without trying any food or drink. Will never come back here and I will let everyone I know about this experience so they don t suffer the same.

My husband and I went to the Cotton Patch Cafe, the hostess took use to the table right outside the bathrooms. My husband requested a different table as there were quite a few available. He pointed to one by the window and I asked if this would be ok, the hostess said yes. Once we sat down I noticed the table was sticky. And then we proceeded to sit there for over 30 minutes and NO ONE spoke to us. No one offered water, or even a I ll be with you in a minute. We will not be back, and I ll never recommend.

This was after being reassured before ordering they would be tender and juicy. Macaroni in the Mac and cheese was undercooked. Borderline hard. Ordered meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, baked squash and and extra side of green beans.On top of paying $25.00 dollars for it. The potatoes were cold and didn t get the green beans. While sitting and waiting on my food I witnessed an employee who was leaving for the day grab a roll with her hands with no glove. Another employee scratched his head with the little black container in his hand and then put butter or something in it and placed it on the plate. If I could give this place NO zeros I would, this was my first time ordering here, but a friend recommended saying it was good, specifically bragged about the skillet cornbread. One big bite into it and I get a mouthful of RAW cornmeal and it was burnt on the outside. They sent rolls also so I tried them and omg, mouthful of raw dough!! Ive been here before. Food is fine. Last time in though was a bad experience. There were several tables(5-6) taken when we were seated. We waited 6-8 minutes looking over the menu and chatting. None of the wait staff even spoke to us, so we got up and left. Do better.

Use to love coming to Cotton Patch, but It has gone downhill- say at a booth and floor was sticky and gross. The gentleman that sat me down (John) took my drink & food order and did not bring the rolls- was gone for a while. Someone else brought the food. So far It was all ok! But when I see my waiter come out of the bathroom with paper towel up his nose I become concerned. I had asked the person that brought me the food for rolls and still nothing. I started eating my flounder and wow- It was soooo salty!! I couldn t eat It. I finally got the rolls (brought by the my waiter) and he began to tell me that he had a massive nose bleed in the bathroom! I told him that I was sorry and he continued to describe It. I m trying to eat my lunch! I asked for some tartar sauce to see if I could eat this fish and he brought It OVERFLOWING and all over his hands! It dripped on the sticky floor and the table! Not coming back!!

We have been going here for ten years but today the lady manager has been so unprofessional. I did not received my entire order and they know it. Instead of her getting on the phone and offering to credit me back for the food they missed she had the staff keep me on hold. Even though the restaurant is completely empty. It was no need to do that. Get a new manger.

This place has gotten progressively worse over the past few years. The food tastes old and microwaved. Food items were questionable colors and textures. I just regret being forced to eat here again. I rather any frozen meal at the grocery store.

We frequent this Cotton Patch location often and I have to say they never disappoint. They were fairly crowded on Saturday night, but we got our food in a very timely manner and as always the food was delicious! My favorite is the Grilled Cajun Duo (Fish and Shrimp), but have tried most of the items on the menu over the years and you cant go wrong at this Cotton Patch if you are looking for some awesome comfort food and not have to wait for an hour for a seat.

The Ranch hand was very good. It was a Hamburger steak, well seasoned, topped with brown gravy, onions and cheese. We both had this item and both were cooked the way we requested. The only thing negative was the food was a little more salty than were used to,so you may want keep that in mind. The rolls and sides were all good. The servers were friendly and helpful but were evidently a little understaffed as we never got our To go cup for our drink. The parking was free but very tight for a large vehicle. It was clean except for the plexiglass dividers needed to be cleaned. I would definitely return if were ever in the area again.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at the Cotton Patch Cafe in Frisco, TX. My girlfriend and I visited recently, and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. We ordered the fried catfish and the chicken fried chicken, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The fried catfish was perfectly crispy on the outside while tender and flavorful on the inside. Ordered two sides with the chicken fried steak that was very cold and crusty. They look like theyve been sitting under a lamp or on a buffet table all day. And the Mac n cheese looks like it was made from a box. The chicken fried steak breading wont even stay on the meat it was so cold and soggy. Very disappointing. UPDATE: I tried to warm up the Mac n cheese, tasted it. Definitely tasted powdered based. Threw the entire meal in the trash. Wasted money.

Extremely disappointing to-go experience. We waited over 45 minutes past the promised time, only for the manager to inform us they didnt even have what we ordered available. We witnessed more than five groups endure waits of over 30 minutes past their to-go order time. To make matters worse, a server was using his BARE HANDS to serve up food in to-go boxes! Then they didnt even provide the correct food we ordered. This marked our first and last visit to this Cotton Patch.

This was my first and last time at this restaurant, terrible customer service and rude workers. The workers spend more time gossiping and complaining than helping customers. I came in on 9/20/23 around 7:15pm to pick up an order and I went to the pickup area for online orders. There s a lady who s grabbing her order and talking to the worker who helped her and I wish I would ve got her name to put in this review but she was a blonde heavy set lady, they re chitchatting which is totally fine but about 15 mins go and by now me and the worker have made eye contact several times and she still continues to keep chitchatting with the lady about her personal life and how she works in a doctors office and gets yelled at over the phone by old people durning the day and then comes to work in the restaurant in the afternoons and gets yelled at by customers at this restaurant and just overall complaining about both places that she works at. Meanwhile I m still waiting in line and another customer is now waiting in line, a second female worker who was short and thin comes from the kitchen area and looks at me and the other lady in line and just ignores us and joins the conversation between the blonde heavy set lady and customer which now I m assuming they all know each other by the way the conversation was going. The heavyset blonde lady makes eye contact with me again and she walks away and heads to the bread station behind them meanwhile still participating in the conversation, finally after a couple more minutes the customer finally says goodbye to them both and leaves. I finally received help from the short and thin female worker who doesn t bother to even say hello first but she gives me my order and I leave. I wish I would ve got both the workers names because I would ve mentioned them in this review they both were extremely rude and just provided terrible service.

I just ordered on uber eats from here and WOW! After a long day of working outside, this HIT! My family and I will definitely be ordering again. I don t need a husband when I have those loaded mashed potatoes bro. No man could ever satisfy me the way that delectable mash does. The strawberry lemonade is also super sour and refreshing. I ate too much to try the butter cake, but I will be revisiting her at 3am tonight. I don t expect to be disappointed because everything was delicious.

The food here is getting worse or I keep going on the day the wrong cook is in the kitchen. The food had been bland the past 3 times I ve been. It use to be finger licking good. I ve gotten use to standing waiting to be seated although they re not business. None of the wait staff ever smiles they re so unhappy that it makes you feel sad for them. I really hope new management comes in and gets things together because it s a great place for southern food

I wasnt going to write a review but everything was wrong. Early Friday dinner. First they sat us near the bathroom. Lots of empty places, so we requested a change. We waited over 10 minutes before someone came to get our drink orders AND this was only because we flagged they down. The orders were wrong. We noticed a lot of servers walking around trying to find the correct tables for other orders. We asked if they still had cornbread muffins. Yes, but then we got the cornbread skillet. When we did get the correct food, it was barely warm. We had to ask for refills. We finally got our tickets and they were wrong. They were corrected and one of the tickets didnt include the merchant or customer tickets. There was more but tired of typing. The waiter was nice but why so many mistakes. I have an issue with Cotton Patch anyway, usually something is bad with the food but this was the worst of everything ever experienced.

Overall the food was decent but the restaurant is clearly understaffed. Our server was super kind but clearly being pulled in many direction which resulted in us sitting for long periods of time without drinks or refills. Our food came out in a decent time but the fires were not very good. Chicken was great! Overall, will be sure to give them a chance when they have more staff.
