Heaven to earth moment for our family! From our first call to the final install in our home; the time, detail, and heart that everyone with FIORIA poured into our family was beyond our expectations. Our House of Miracles family, now has JOY encapsulated in these beautiful work of art portraits on our wall. I cant stop staring at them and seeing how GOOD our GOD is! The Rising Phoenix experience was perfect. It was initially thought that it would be just me but as a single father, my daughter was with me through my divorce, my cancer diagnosis and treatment. I absolutely had to have her there to celebrate being on the brighter side of life as well. MeRa took time to talk to each of us individually prior to the shoot and she even talked to some of our close friends. That extra step is evident in the portraits. This was more than just sitting for a picture. MeRa was able to use this information to get our personalities as individuals and as a father daughter duo onto the canvas. I simply cant recommend a Rising Phoenix session enough to anyone who has overcome hardships. The portraits are the first thing anyone can see as they enter my home and they all immediately know how important it is to us.

My husband surprised me with a family photo shoot with FIORIA. I didn t know much about it going in and I was pretty nervous. The nervousness went away within minutes! What a beautiful experience! Brian and Me Ra are delightful, professional and beyond creative. The process was so much fun! The end product is beyond amazing. The wall art is stunning and captured our family perfectly. To come in and see these beautiful portraits of myself daily is inspiring because I see a very accomplished woman who I dreamed to be! These are the ones that my husband helped me picked out for my office wall that said spoke to him the way he sees me as his wife, mother of our children and as boss lady aka Hey lady! He tells me all the time that he loves that I am the epitome of what a lady is supposed to be like and how one should carry herself and I am a great example for our girls. Its amazing how hard work and dedication created a life I love and a career to help others now as a mentor, successful entrepreneur, mom and wife. I became the woman I looked up too for years as a young girl navigating this world of who I wanted to be when I grew up. I dont think I can say anything that would give justice to this experience. Doing the Rising Phoenix Shoot with Me Ra and Brian was nothing short of beautiful. It wasnt just about getting a client in and taking some pictures and sending them off. There is a ministry behind this, there is pure intentions of wanting to help you see the beauty in yourself, there is healing, there is discovery. Being a mom and wife I was use to having my littles ones, or husband to hide behind, or let them be the focus, so on this day I was filled with nerves because it was focusing around JUST me, but Brian, Me Ra, Ginger and Soy, the whole team! made every step comfortable, and the laughing, I smile while I type this because I remember being filled with joy and I cried but they where happy tears. They went above and beyond even to the point of getting me a slice of cake and singing me happy birthday because they saw it was going to be my birthday that weekend. I just loved every bit of it. Thank you all for helping me see me. Every time I see my portraits I smile, and when someone asks or comments on them, I discover more about myself.

*Update: Me Ra kindly reached out to me to express her sadness at what happened, especially regarding the hurtful comments. She confirmed they love and affirm the LGBTQ community, and we talked through how this misunderstanding happened! This was very important for me to hear, and I m so thankful. She also let me know that they could have fixed and re-ordered my large portrait if I had told them I was unhappy right away. That s on me. All this to say, i would still recommend people who can afford it to work with Me Ra. She is a gem and her work is stunning. But perhaps in the future Me Ra might consider sending a final digital edited portrait that s about to be sent to the printer to the client first, that way money and materials can be saved in case something like this happens again. The editing team might get something wrong or do too many touch ups (my skin was a bit too airbrushed for my personal preference, for example) and I think clients should have a say before it gets sent to the printer. * This is a really hard review for me to leave, and I ve sat on it for over a year since getting my photo shoot with Me Ra done. First of all, the experience I had with Me Ra was very kind, beautiful, and healing. I love her and think she s very talented. However, when I look at my huge portrait I m mostly just disappointed and a little ashamed for how much money it cost. When we were asked which picture was our fave that we wanted a huge print of, we picked this one but specifically said this one is our fave because of the movement and power it exudes, BUT that we didn t like it because of the lighting or lack there of on my eyes (feet also, but that s obviously not as important), so we would only pick it if it could be edited so that my eyes were visible. Both she and Brian immediately and confidently said of course, that they could fix it in the editing process. I m honestly not sure they remembered or edited it at all though, because my eyes and shoes are just as difficult to see as I remember in the viewing right after the shoot. Considering the huge cost (2k) of this shoot and canvas print, I was expecting perfection. I m surprised they didn t send over an edited revised version to get our approval before sending the file to Italy for the final print. I would have told them we weren t happy with it. I hesitate to bring the second thing up, because it s uncomfortable and personal, but it seems important that I use my voice to stand up for myself. Me Ra and Brian knew that I had recently come out as queer (it was in my application for a discount that I won), and so when I pulled out my sweatshirt that says QUEER on it for the last outfit of the shoot, I was surprised when they questioned me on what that meant . Then a brief conversation ensued about what it s been like for me to come out as queer as a Christian, and some casual comments were made by Brian that were hurtful. I was very uncomfortable after the conversation, and you could see it in the photos that she took of me afterwards. It was a sad ending to a beautiful experience. Like I said, I have so much love for Me Ra, but the end product was not at all what we were hoping for.

Im not usually one who is comfortable in front of the camera as Im not happy with the way I look in photos, even when they are professionally done. Me Ra & Brian made me so at ease and comfortable before, during, and after the shoot. Me Ra captured images of me that I find to be so flattering; images that I am thrilled to have on my walls in my home and my office. The entire process, from the phone consult, to the photo shoot, to the reveal and installation was an extraordinary experience. They are intentional with every step of the process. The final results exceeded all of my expectations. Bravo, Fioria! Youve made this woman feel incredibly special! Thank you for being obedient to the instruction of Holy Spirit. Not only are the artwork amazing and it will be a statement for me and the boys to reflect on daily, but the non-tangible experience is even more powerful. Wow just wow! From the second we started the Fioria experience we have been blown away. This isn t a sit and pose for a portrait Fioria is truly a ministry! They captured the essence of who we are the deepest expressions of love towards each other the absolute joy caught in the glimmer of our eyes and the pure contentment of our bond. It was such an emotional experience each of us communicating and sharing about one another. It was such a fun time getting a white glove service being pampered the whole way through. Most of all it was spectacular to see the finished work of art and we mean art .. museum quality prints with a magnificent care for details the words of affirmation and labels on the back of each print, the presentation and finally the installation were a delight for us to see! These prints are generational an eventual gift to my children s children whom will be able to catch a glimpse of our eternal love for our family!

I met Me Ra at the Rootstech workshop in March 2023. After reading her book, I felt drawn to make an appointment to have my pictures done (my Wall Art). At the workshop, I saw how people s lives were changed when they had their pictures taken. It wasn t like regular photos, they seemed to capture the essence of the individual. I was at a new crossroads if my life and felt like having my pictures done would somehow catapult me forward. So, I flew to Texas for my photo shoot. The wall art in my front room reminds me of all I have overcome, who I am deep down, and who I can become. I still do not know how it all works, I just know it does, miracle might be a good word. This was an AMAZING experience! I dont like taking pictures by myself and I had many reasons why I should wait. You know, need to lose more weight, need my hair to be longer, Need to find the right outfits, cant justify the purchase... the list goes on and on. But what I really wanted was to see myself the way God sees me. To see a version of me that would inspire me daily. The me I often dont see when I look in the mirror or see a picture of myself. What an amazing day I had with Me Ra and Brian at their beautiful FIORIA Photography Studio! I am proud to say that I am a Rising Phoenix! The day I spent with them was magical. I never like having attention placed on me. However, Me Ra and Brian provided a calm, safe, friendly, and humorous sanctuary for me to be just ME! They brought to the surface my true self that I keep guarded and somewhat hidden from others. From the moment I entered their studio, I was welcomed with warm hugs and smiles! To hear what my family sees in me is a feeling I can not adequately describe. As I mentioned, I have a tendency of holding back, not sure of my abilities and contributions. Me Ra and Brian are unmatched when it comes to quality of photography and experiences provided by FIORIA. When my wife told me she was participating in Me Ra s Phoenix Portrait program I knew Me Ra would be able to bring out the best in my wife and allow her to see herself as I see her; a strong, beautiful, intelligent and resilient woman who just needed to be reminded of her strength and beauty. A daily reminder of just how far she d come and how much she d overcome. This belief was again affirmed when we used FIORIA for our daughter s senior photo shoot. My experience with Me Ra Koh has been unlike anything else in my life. From the moment I had my discovery call, to the photo shoot, reveal and installation, and even now - I was seen, heard and valued. I cried every time I spoke with Me Ra before my photo shoot. I really had no idea just what I was getting into, but after hearing her speak and sharing other Rising Phoenix photos, I knew this is just what I needed. Honestly, I went into this experience hoping and praying I could see myself as others see me. I would have been satisfied with a glimpse, but there was so much more. Me Ra has the gift of listening and truly hearing. It is coupled with the gift of seeing. She has this beautiful gift of vision where she works closely with her husband Brian to create an atmosphere of being seen. We ve heard it said, a picture is worth a thousand words, but the art Me Ra and Brian create leave me speechless. There are no words to sufficiently explain what they do. You truly have to experience it yourself. And oh what an experience it is! My experience was full of laughter, tears, and truly walking and talking through moments. Me Ra and Brian are so personable, welcoming, and accepting. They see you without judging you. And what a gift that is. My story is unlike many others, but also like so many. The main focus was being able to forgive myself. Me Ra wove my story beautifully into powerful pictures that hang in my bedroom. Sixteen years ago I didn t know if I d even live to see the next day. Sixteen years ago I looked in the mirror and saw brokenness. I hated my reflection and I hated people telling me I was beautiful. I d stare at myself for hours only to see a vast sea of darkness and emptiness staring back at me. I had lost hope and was nothing more than an empty shell going through the motions. Today I sit in my chair writing while looking at my photos of wholeness, healing, and LIFE. I have spent 16 years walking out healing, fighting to overcome, and now I have a visual representation of where I am now. Let me start by saying I HATE GETTING PICTURES TAKEN. I had the same headshot for 15 years but it was becoming a joke as I aged. When I made a 180 degree life and career pivot at 41 by opening my own interior design studio, branding and the photos that come with it made me not just a little bit anxious. I put it off for months until I was 3 weeks from launching and opened google. It did not take long to find Me Ra and Fioria, and after reading her tons of excellent reviews I went for it. She called me to discuss my goals and my past and my present and my future and it felt like talking to an old friend. She really took the time to get to know me and my brand and my personality, it was totally different than anything I d experienced in my previous corporate life. When photo day arrived I was blown away by the professionalism and the thought she and Brian put into my photo shoot. They had pages of notes to refer to and knew exactly what I wanted and needed for my website and marketing without me having to direct the shoot at all. I felt like an absolute celebrity all day, it was the easiest and most comfortable photo shoot I ve experienced and the end product had me speechless. I got family photoshoot done for my son s second birthday and couldn t be more happier with the final outcome of the shoot. Not only did they capture the true essence of my family in the portraits but they also made sure that we have a great time throughout the entire process. I am so grateful for having met Me Ra and Brian, and for the wonderful experience we had with our family photo shoot. We have two small children, and having never had family portraits done, we didn t know what to expect. I was really blown away at the level of care and attention that was placed on each family member, our individual journeys, and how we have grown together as a family. The discovery calls with Jenny helped me articulate how I feel about my family in a way that we often do not take the time to do, and to really highlight what is beautiful and unique about each person. This past weekend I did something monumentally huge for me. I participated in a personal photoshoot with the amazing, beautiful, and exceptionally talented Me Ra Koh. I signed up for her Rising Phoenix photoshoot as a celebration of me for all I ve endured and risen from, and to mark my journey into my future. From my initial intake call with Jenny Mitchell McMinn, who, through active listening and gentle probing, allowed me to open up and really articulate and appreciate where I am in my life and where I am heading. Jenny was simply wonderful to speak with and made it so easy to share my hopes, dreams and aspirations, but also provided a safe space to talk about my loss, my depression, and my pain. I had the opportunity to meet MeRa, Jenny and Ginger in person at the Frisco Arts Foundation event, along with Becka Brady who would become my mentor. Who knew that one FB post could become so life changing. Ginger, who works with MeRa as both stylist and makeup artist, helped me pick out my outfits, and did my hair and makeup, making me feel and look beautiful and sexy on my day. She is simply amazing! What transpired at this photoshoot was indescribable but I m going to try. MeRa and her husband Brian, provided a space filled with love, acceptance, and comfort, allowing me to feel not only my most beautiful, authentic self, but also allowing that happiness that I ve begun to experience to flow naturally and fill me up completely. MeRa helped me whittle down my outfits, choosing the perfect pieces of clothing that was truly reflective of me. Three wardrobe changes, a day long photoshoot, lots of laughter, guttural tears upon seeing the photos, seeing how they captured my essence, how I viewed myself but thought that no one else could see the me that I see, and telling my story of freedom, resilience, and strength in photography has just brought me to a place of contentment, pure joy, and blinding rays of hope and light to my future. If all women (and men) could experience what I did with this amazing group of people, this planet would be in a much better place. Our FIORIA experience with Me Ra Koh and Brian Tausend has been beyond anything I could have ever imagined. For Mother s Day, several of our friends got together and gifted me this luxury photoshoot. Me Ra and Brian generously decided to match our friends gift which set us up for an incredible experience. I was stunned by this outpouring of love! I was also extremely nervous about how my daughter would respond to being in the studio and having her picture taken. Isabella is six years old and was born with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome which includes autistic-type sensitivities along with several disabilities. We tried to have family portraits made before but it was not a positive experience for her. I am so grateful for the Discovery Calls that happened before our shoot. I was able to share with Me Ra all of my concerns and her gentle response gave me so much peace. She let me know that she was confident that this photoshoot would work and that her team would do whatever it took to make sure Isabella was comfortable. And that is exactly what happened! On the day of the shoot, as I got my hair and makeup professionally done by the amazing Ginger, with our favorite music playing softly in the background, Me Ra laid on the floor and read a book to my daughter. When my sweet girl laid her head on Me Ra s shoulder, I gave a sigh of relief. Me Ra had won Isabella over. The actual photoshoot was peaceful and fun. We all laughed so much! Because the team had taken the time during the Discovery Calls to know what makes our family work, Me Ra and Brian had our complete trust from the first click of the camera. It felt more like we were hanging out with friends than having professional photos taken. Every moment of the shoot was sheer ease. After lunch, the studio was transformed into a theater setup for the Reveal. Brian blew us away with the slideshow of our portraits. He then lead us through the thoughtful process of deciding on our favorite portraits and he designed the most beautiful artwork for our home. A few days later, when we just couldn t stop thinking about the other photos, Brian helped us design an album via Zoom. Brian and Me Ra stayed in contact with a weekly update of the printing and shipping process until our wall art and photo album arrived 5 weeks later. Brian came to our house and installed the wall art, which was such a blessing to not have to do that ourselves! What Me Ra and Brian were able to capture in our family is unreal! They have given me the gift of seeing my family from a different vantage point. I am encouraged and challenged daily by this art now on my walls. These pieces whisper hope, health, healing, and wholeness to me. How can all that come from a photographer and designer?! Thank you FIORIA team for being part of our family s story now. The interviews leading up to the shoot changed me. I learned more about my families heart in those sessions than I had in the last 5 years. So then, we were able to see each other in a different lense during the shoot making it an intimate family experience that was healing to our hearts. This year has been a year full of changes . From a pending divorce to my last child leaving for college. I longed for a new family picture and knew i could only trust THE BEST with such a sacred gift. MeRa is unlike any photographer i have ever known. She does amazing in depth interviews with each family member to make sure she captures the nature and feel of each relationship. She nailed each and every photo. She connected to each family member in creative and unique ways. My kids have always disliked having their photos done because i take hundreds of pictures of them but for MeRa it was like their favorite aunt was taking the photo and they did anything she wanted. She has this amazing ability to not only catch the essence of a relationship but she has a keen eye for detail which was evident in each and every photo. I thought I didn t really need much of an update for my photo for my website thinking the last one taken would be good enough. Wow! Was I mistaken! I had no idea what could be done with a new photo! After all I felt it was just a new snapshot of me like when you go and get your Drivers license picture taken. Kinda looks the same with more wrinkles and a different hairdo, right? When they revealed the new photos to me, I started crying. I had never seen myself so authentically represented as the real me! I mean I looked good but the difference was that in this new photo I am real. They somehow captured who I am in an image. By interviewing me as well as some of my clients, the MeRa group somehow uncovered an image that perfectly represents the real me! I still don t know exactly how they did it! These people give a lot and put a lot of time and energy in creating a picture you can be proud of because they know how to capture authenticity! You end up with a product like you have never seen before! They are professional, fun to work and make the experience such a sense of safety that you can let your guard down and be naturally who you are! TL;DR: Amazing quality photography; easy to work with; unique focus and creativity with your shoot. My wife met Me Ra at a womens business function, and thought her work looked interesting, and that we needed to have a set of family photos taken. Little did I know that this would become some of the best wall art that I own and TOTALLY representative of my family experience... right inside my front door. One of the unique things about doing the shoot with Me Ra and Brian was that they didnt just show up and shoot. They called each one of us in my family to basically interview us and find out what made us tick, funny stories, interests/hobbies, etc. Honestly, I thought this was a bit strange at first, but when we went to the shoot, it all made sense. Among all of the stories we told Brian was that that we really liked taking a deck of cards with us whenever we went out, because we would play different games after ordering food, for example. It is our way to have fun and connect. So, when it came time to do our shoot, one of the asks from Brian and Me Ra was to bring a deck of cards (there were other suggestions too). What ensued was our family doing a normal shoot, with individuals, groups, kids only, etc., but then they asked us to just hang out for a sec and play cards. They shot during the game, and that turned out to be the best set of pictures of the day! It really captured what makes us... us. That extra level of detail, to figure out who we all were, made an absolute difference in our results, and I cant thank Me Ra and Brian enough. (below is part of the wall art we bought, and even the poses of our boys captures their individual personalities).

I cant believe Bryce and I have been engaged for almost a year now! We have been so busy building our like together and keeping up with Troy, time is flying. It had always been a dream of mine for Me Ra to take our family pictures. When we finally found ourselves close enough to Frisco to make it happen, I jumped at the chance. I never thought I would want large photos of us on the walls, but they are not just family photos. Im not eloquent enough to be able to put into words how these pictures make me feel. Its hard to explain, but when I look at them, I dont see a product of a photo session. They give me a feeling of happiness and humor and fun and contentment. I have followed Me Ra for a long time and even had the pleasure of meeting her at a Photography trade show in NYC many years ago. I have loved Me Ra s work as a family photographer so I couldn t resist the chance to try and win a family photoshoot at her Frisco photography studio. Fast forward to late last summer when Me Ra called me to let me know that I had won a photoshoot with her! My kids thought something happened to me considering how giddy I was after we spoke! When you go to the big box stores for family photos it s all business, you smile, pray for no meltdowns, take pictures, select your prints and then come back to pick them up! With Me Ra and Brian, it was personal. They had multiple calls with my husband and me to understand our family, our dynamics, our relationship with each other and what we wanted to capture during the portrait session. I remember how warm and friendly Me Ra was from our first conversation, through the preparation for our photoshoot, giving me ideas for outfits and remembering the details we discussed about each child during our calls. We drove to Frisco from Houston for our session with Me Ra and Brian. Me Ra and Brian were so engaging with our kids and set everyone at ease. We didn t feel rushed and got all the important shots this mama desired! I LOVED how our wall art turned out and can t get over how amazing it looks on our walls. Out photo shoot with Me Ra was no ordinary experience. I expected to get some nice photos, but had no idea she would be able to capture our personalities on camera! She and Brian had some interesting questions for each of us prior to the shoot, and it was so inspiring to see some of the comments in print in our photo album. Me Ras personality and professionalism made us all feel at ease -- even my pre-teen son was so comfortable posing for her. We are so pleased with the end result! The bound album we got is stunning. My parents took portraits for their 58th wedding anniversary. Since my parents were not physically able to go upstairs for the pictures, MeRa and Brian graciously brought down all their photography equipment downstairs, just for them. My daughter was almost 4 and we hadn t taken a family photo since she was a newborn and that was with our own camera. I signed up for a giveaway with Me Ra Koh not really thinking I would win. I ve been following Me Ra on instagram for a while. When I learned she lived nearby, I reached out to her asking if she did any mentorships for isolated photographers. And guess what? She messaged me back with words of encouragement and told me about her upcoming Confidence Workshop. There was just one spot left and I felt like it was meant to be! Not only did we learn A LOT about our cameras and natural light, we learned about connecting with our clients through the lens. I found Me Ra and Brian at a home and garden show and so very happy I did. My daughter is turning 13 and I was wanting something special for her. Something that when she looked at it, she would know just how beautiful she is to me! My daughter is on the spectrum and suffers from anxiety and I was prepared to have a few issues. However, both Me Ra and Brian were so amazing with her and I have not witnessed her that comfortable. When we finished and got in the car to go home, she told me that the experience was EPIC! When our kids said they wanted to give us a portrait of our whole family for our anniversary, my thoughts were this will be chaos, everyone will be grumpy, we will never get everyone to be on time, then we will all try to smile and make sure the smile doesn t look fake. It s so hard to put into words what an incredible experience I had with Me Ra portraits. Going into to it I wasn t sure what to expect as I have never been one to like pictures of myself or feel comfortable in front of a camera, but Me Ra and her husband Brian have a gift for making your feel at ease and for making your photo shoot so much more then just getting your picture taken . Ive been following her work for many years and as a student of the craft of photography, Ive always admired Me Ras approach to capturing the moments that are unposed When I first took an interest in photography, one of the first books I bought on the subject was Your Family In Portraits. I have been a fan of Me Ra Koh photography for many years now. When I saw that she was offering the 2019 Luxury Portrait Gift Certificate I immediately signed my family up for it! We have never had professional photos taken and it was almost a dream for me to have Me Ra Koh shoot our photos. 2019 has been such a big year for my little family in that we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, moved to a new city, kids were starting school for the first time, and so many more milestones were accomplished in this single year. I have been following Me Ra and her photography for years and have always admired her ability to capture a story. About a year ago I got up the courage to take her confidence photography workshop for women and even recently took another one of her courses and got to know her and her husband Brian personally. This is an amazing couple and two awesome photographers! When they started their new studio and I saw their new website and wall art I knew I wanted them to capture the story of our family. Our son was about to go off to college and I realized we had never had our family portrait taken with a professional photographer (with the exception of a family photo from my brothers wedding.). So for my birthday, my dear husband and 2 teenagers agreed to drive 4+ hours to Dallas from Houston to have our family portrait taken. The experience was nothing short of amazing and started long before we stepped in front of the camera. Me Ra and Brian interviewed all of us to better understand us individually and our relationship as a family. Once we did step in front of the camera it was easy and fun with a lot of laughter and she captured all of us and our family perfectly. This is not a normal photo shoot. They interviewed my wife for about 30 min, then interviewed me for 30 min to prepare for the photo shoot. From all the info they gathered between the two of us, they were able to tell a story with the pictures they have taken. The pictures truly captured our story. The pics of my daughters were absolutely jaw dropping. I would post them, but because they are my kids, you guys are out of luck. Youll just have to try them for yourselves to understand what they could do with the camera!

Only one word can describe the experience with had capturing our family and that is Amazing .... I am not the most photogenic person, but my wife wanted to take a family portrait of our family before my son went off to college. So for my wife s birthday we drove 4+ hours to spend a day with Me Ra to try to capture our first true family portrait. The experience with Me Ra and Brian and the hours of research they did with each of us made me interested in seeing what would occur. I would highly recommend Me Ra to anyone who is hesitant about capturing a moment in time. What she captured that day for us was a lifetime of joy and happiness of our family and made me proud to be a father and a husband. The preparation work was almost spiritual and though the questions they ask were thought provoking the reasoning is evident in what she captured on film. Best experience ever!!! Our son is graduating High School and we had the honor of having Me Ra and Brian do his Senior portraits. His passion is aviation and Me Ra had incredible ideas incorporating the airport and airplanes! What a dream!!! The ideas and process were absolutely amazing, but the RESULTS... ASTOUNDING! She captured our son s personality and passions in a way that literally brought a tear or 1000 to my eyes!! The photos are not only great quality and mega awesome (I mean, who has AIRPLANES in their Senior pictures?!), but they are a display of who he is, how hard he has worked, where he is headed and a reminder to his little brothers that not even the sky is the limit if you pursue your passions with all your heart. I don t know how she does this, but IT IS TRUE... she is able to capture all of these truths in her photography!!! And her lighting manager, Brian, is amazing as well... and SO FUN!!! Every single amazing photo in my home on my holiday cards is imagined by Me Ra. Her radiant positivity glows so much that you can feel her warmth in each picture. She has immediate comfort with children, husbands, etc. working with her is a pleasure too. She is professional and equipped for whatever whenever. She pulled out a standing flash/light equipment on the riverbank one time. She had it ready to go in her backpack and it made an otherwise impossible to capture shot, the centerpiece of our shoot. When MeRa photographed our family for the first time less that one month after the birth of our 2nd child, my wife and I were amazed at the detail and moments she caught. A small, silent baby boy and his rambunctious, full of life 2-year-old brother was a story in contrast, captured brilliantly by MeRa. 9 months later when we did the 2nd half of our shoot, it was, in a word CHAOS!! LOL!! Corralling a soon to be 3-year-old and a 9-month-old already taking his first steps was a task by itself. Add to that a photo shoot In the twilight on some field in North Texas, with mud my wife was not too keen on getting on her designer boots, and me. Squirrell!! But I digress. After the shoot we were convinced there would be nothing to salvage from this adventure and even started working on Plan B. Later, when we viewed the photos, our doubt was replaced with sheer joy and delight. The pictures were amazing! We ve done three photo shoots with MeRa our second is my personal favorite. The only thing missing from this second shoot is, you guessed it, our 3rd son. He joined the crew for 3rd family photo in Downtown Dallas near the Art Museum. The irony of this location is not lost on me as MeRa delivered another masterpiece with photos that capture the essence of our family: love, joy, humor and lots and lots of testosterone filled activity because as far as kids are concerned, we have tapped out. As a Dad, one of my greatest joys is seeing a photo journal of our family adorn the walls of our home. It constantly reminds me of how blessed we are and further it speaks to the gift that MeRa has been to our family. Her unique talent is her innate ability to allow the photos to tell your story. Spend five minutes viewing our photos and you will understand who The Montgomerys are. Not every photographer can do this and the love she has for her work comes out in every picture she takes. We are truly the benefactors of her artistry.
