I did not know this park, until a friend invited me to work, to build some cabins on the shore of the lagoon, 20 12x18 block cabins have been built, they will be super comfortable for a nights visit to this park, I I am building them myself, and I have already chosen mine that I am going to rent, when they are in service they say that they will have air conditioning, a refrigerator and I imagine that something else to cook will be super fun, I assure you.

If I could give zero stars I would! From a person who does not expect a whole lot when renting a cabin on the lake, We had a terrible experience renting a cabin at Hidden Cove Park. They let our neighbors throw a massive party ( 50 cars +) and they blocked our drive way ( had to ask security to make the move before we could even access our cabin), the same victors smoked and hung out in front of our cabin at OUR picnic table. They were loud of course, but that wasnt even an issue. We made multiple reports and nothing was done we packed up our kids and headed home ( two hours way) at at night! Only when we turned in the key did they tell us they would go down there to talk to them. They offered us no other cabin, nothing! Before turning in our key. we gave them every opportunity to correct the situation, but the young adults did not care! When we reported everything to the manager we were told no refund or credit because you didnt give my staff a chance to handle your concerns. Either the staff or the manger are lying. We will NEVER stay there again AND we attend the lake every year for an annual event a business host there.

Very low key, not busy. No one at counters to help. We wanted to rent a kayak. Shingles off the canopy roof tops were just laying on the ground. They could have cleaned up a bit. Dogs were off leashes chasing people. We did end up leaving. Thank you for your response. Im not mistaken. We were charged $20 to enter and park. Please clean up your facilities!

Just called to cancel our reservations for 4 nights. Tried to explain why we had to cancel and the girl didn t really care. I would never lie about us having an accident in our RV and having to cut our trip short(2 weeks) Our hydraulics were affected and our jacks will not work to level our coach, no headlight, and the tilt on the steering wheel broke. I didn t even want my money back, I wanted to use it within a year but the girl didn t care at all so we will not ever stay there. Not a friendly place to do business!!!

In response to the parks response They are dishonest. I travel to this area for business. I stayed in this park in 2022 without any issue. Upon returning this year, I went to their website to book an RV site for five nights. I found the website to be very difficult to navigate, appears that the park is either under new management or ownership. The website has RV site numbers and old RV site numbers, I thought since there were so many available sites on the online booking site that calling would be easier. I called and was given the runaround as though the park was completely full and they didn t know if they had space or not for me. After being put on hold several times while driving pulling my RV, I pulled over and told the young lady I would just book it online. Upon arrival I was given a map that was also not very user-friendly and told to proceed to site number 44. Navigating through their park going into the area most of the sites were individually numbered, I found 44B, I didn t see another 44 anywhere within any reasonable distance so I assumed because the other ones were not marked A or B but maybe it was just an old number because they have old numbers, new numbers, etc., as I explained. I got completely set up in the site unhitched the truck and went to open the stairs on my airstream trailer and stepped in a huge red ant pile. I called the office to ask if they could send a maintenance person to take care of these red ants. I also inquired about their sewer hook up because all of the sites were marked with the sticker that said not operational They then proceeded to tell me that all of them are operational except for site number 44 that I had booked online. I was told that I was in the wrong site and was going to need to move, the park was nearly empty. None of the other sites on the side of the road, not on the water, were occupied by anyone. I asked why I couldn t just take that site and was told that they had a reservation guaranteed and the site was secured by an additional payment from the person arriving. On asking them which sites I could move to I found the two they offered me site 46 or 47. Site 46 was full of red ants so I chose 47. I can do a 30 amp or a 50 amp for my trailer to me it didn t matter. When I told them I would take 47 due to the fact that 46 was infested with red ants they told me there would be an additional charge $53 at this point after having spent 40 minutes setting up and needing to breakdown and set up again, I was hot, sweaty, tired, frustrated and bitten by red ants I went ahead and took site 47 for the additional $53, no one ever came to treat red ants in addition to that no one ever checked into site 44B no one else was on that side of the road in that entire area of the park. No one else came in at all while I was there that I could see and I took several pictures to show that. In my opinion, the management and staff are very dishonest they were rude when I called. They were rude when I called to complain, obviously struggling financially and need to take additional money from me when I was nearly the only person in that side of the park. I would not recommend this park if you have another option, I ve traveled extensively, visited all 50 states and made multiple reservations online, dealt with multiple parks and this overall was a very bad experience.

Please be aware when making reservations here. It has been raining heavily in June, causing the lake to overflow. This park does not offer refunds, only park credits, which are difficult to use, and you cannot transfer the pass to another person. I have made the necessary changes, but I will not return to this park because they effectively hold your money hostage with their policy: NO REFUNDS FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER OR ISSUES BEYOND OUR CONTROL. They also have a stipulation: Less than 2 days = No Refunds, At managers discretion, which they do not honor. I anticipate more negative reviews this week as the rain continues. The water has nearly reached the RV sites as well.

33ft Forest River Salem - Spot #35 We traveled here from 5 hours away as our first travel trailer trip. It was absolutely Amazing. We went for the 2024 Solar Eclipse. We arrived just as they were closing but the office staff was so kind and helpful and not at all how other businesses would be if you showed up 2 minutes prior to closing. I did call ahead and give updates as we hit traffic, but still. Our location was just as described, the website was easy to navigate even for a novice like myself to choose what I needed. We will 100% we back. The bathrooms were clean and a very nice atmosphere inside. I definitely felt safe walking around alone with my dogs & children.

A Hidden Gem for RV Enthusiasts: Our Go-To Spot for Weekend Getaways in the Dallas-area Our experiences at Hidden Cove Park and Marina have always been exceptional, but a recent incident solidified this location as our top choice for our familys RV adventures. A misunderstanding regarding charges could have marred our latest visit, yet Caleb and Dallas at the office turned the situation around with their incredible support, kindness, and efficiency, ensuring we could enjoy our planned getaway without issue. Living in Frisco, TX, we consider ourselves fortunate to have such a treasure down the road from us. Hidden Cove Park and Marina isnt just a place to park your RV; its a gateway to a ton of fun activities set against the backdrop of beautiful Lake Lewisville. Whether its kayaking in the marina, boating on the lake, exploring trails, or spotting wildlife, theres an adventure waiting for everyone. The convenience of having great restaurants and amenities nearby in Frisco & Little Elm adds to the allure, ensuring that even the most spontaneous trips are hassle-free and filled with options. While Im keeping our favorite RV spot under wraps, rest assured, every spot here offers its unique charm, coupled with very reasonable prices for the access provided to such a wide array of activities. The staffs dedication to guests enjoyment is very apparent, making every visit memorable. Hidden Cove Park and Marina is not just a favorite for us but clearly holds a special place in the hearts of many who seek both adventure and tranquility. For anyone looking for the perfect RV getaway spot, look no further. We cant recommend this place enough!

RV camping, this private park reminds me of a typical Corps of Engineers park sans the continuous maintenance... New construction continues but established areas need attention -- dripping faucets, cracked concrete, deteriorating asphalt, etc -- but still in overall good condition. Shower house is tile over concrete block, very clean and nice inside. We typically seek out State Parks with water features but this one did not disappoint -- nice sunrise photos remind me of sharing the morning with wildlife -- but greatly overpriced for what we used. This ones attraction is the on-site marina.

We had a horrible experience there. Night security doesn t know how to speak with people and doesn t have a good attitude and he is looking to make trouble for guests. We had a night pass and asked them for a fire camp by the phone and they gave us permits. A security guy came to us and ordered us to put out the fire and when we asked why he said seems you don t want to do that and he called the police and firefighters. Firefighters extinguished the charcoal and were shocked because the fire was almost off. Police forced us to leave when we asked the manager to refund our money they said we were not gonna give our money back and the police kept saying to pack up and leave and when we asked the reason they said you have to leave otherwise you will be arrested. I dont know how the security explained the situation to them. I dont recommend this place to anybody because they easily ruin your vacation and dont care about kids and family. My son kept asking why they doing this to us! Police should have been for our safety and been more aware of to how handle this kind of situation but unfortunately, they discriminated against us and finally kept us in jail for 24 hours and charged us for criminal trespassing even with having the permits. We had a harsh experience and still have stress and headaches. This is embarrassing and unfair to treat normal clean citizens as criminals. You are just lying, your security is a mean person. You don t know customer service and how to talk to people. You could solve the problem without any trouble if you want. You didn t refund our money when we asked you to give us our money so we could leave, so what do you call this theft, scam

Reply to the reply by the owner: Please stop making fabricated reply to cover up the situation. (Read through the whole review and the reply to the owner) Watch out the night shift security man, named Toni, he was a nasty individual. He approached my car from behind knocked on the window with huge attitude, behaving and speaking like he has all the authority in the world, mocking and treating me I m a trespasser with three young kids behind. He did not even check my windshield annual member sticker and started yelling and telling me stop roaming around my park . I stopped by the office to speak to the manager after the horrible experience, of course they didn t care. I saw another person arguing with him when I stopped by the office, this park is obviously dealing with wrong employee. What a great way to ruin a family s Labor Day break! Reply to the reply by the owner: Please stop making fabricated reply to cover up the situation. I stopped on a drive way in the RV park area momentarily and saw the security car behind me and then I moved my car to a RV parking nearby to have the security truck pass by..the truck blocked the way out of the RV spot and initiated the incident. you have no idea what exactly happened at the moment. Why don t you apologize for the unpleasant experience of your customer had to deal with instead first and tried to understand what exactly had happened? By the way, I am a paid annual member over the last 5years and had used RV sites before so I know the rules of the park.

Extremely disappointed about our weekend trip to this RV park. Checked in Friday afternoon about 3pm. Got to the unleveled sloping pad and got set up. It wasnt long before we started noticing cigarette butts all over the site along with dog poop. The previous guests were even kind enough to fill our fire pit with bagged poop and trash. Calling the office was useless, they said maintenance had left for the day and someone will be out between 8-4pm on Saturday. This never happened. I was also sold firewood from the front desk only to be told to put the fire out by security due to a fire ban the past 2 weeks.Obviously a disconnect between desk and security. Lastly the bathrooms near our site smelled like death and were unusable. Pros: Its near the water.

After we were set up we walked around and discovered there were many sites that had not been dug up. At that point it was too late to contact the office. We were very disappointed in our campsite and the customer service. They were doing work on the campground (thats fine) but our site was all dug up and when it rained during the night it turned into a clay mud hole. I called the office and said I was unhappy with the site. They offered us 10% off but that meant we were still paying 67.50 for a very difficult and dirty campsite.

Camp site #21 did not come with a grill I had to go purchase one from the store. Tent sites are so close together, someone is always walking right through the space. I wouldnt recommend if you like to camp with a little more privacy. Each night we could hear loud music from someone that Im sure wasnt supposed to be there. Showers are not available close to the camp sites you have to drive to the Rv section to find showers. Overall after all the cons we had a great stay but not super sure if I would recommend tent camping.

It s a party campground so beware. It s privately owned and not well maintained for tent camping. The poison ivy flows applenty. Be aware you have haul your gear to the sites Vs pulling in. Water hook ups are inconsistent and not at each site. Lastly, when I have camped at other places in the past, employees have alerted us to weather or other concerns. During a day where a bad storm was anticipated, we watched the weather but never heard once from Hidden Cove. 30 minutes before a storm hit, the management sent an email saying there s a storm and you want to move your tent if you re in an area that will flood.

Their website isn t great at detailing what you get at a reserved tent site, so here you go :) we had sites 28 and 29. Each reserved site has a covered pavilion with one picnic table and one charcoal grill nearby. There s also a shared water spigot. There is a fire pit at each site but some were more usable than others. Sites are quite large and offer plenty of shaded areas. Beware of the poison ivy and poison oak covering many of the trees in the area. Bathrooms were regularly cleaned and include 3 stalls, 2 sinks and an air dryer. There is electricity in the bathroom but not at the tent sites. There are no showers at the bathrooms near duck loop. The reason for the 4 star review is that the grounds security did not enforce quiet hours. We called many times (young kids) and neighboring sites partied well into the early hours of 3-4 AM.

Park is ok not great, but its not worth 20$ parking ticket for the day, its little too expensive. What about people who are just coming in for an hour or two? May be you should Include like a 4/5$ per hour option as well.

Hidden Cove is a great little gem tucked away in North Dallas and hard to find for RV resorts. If you want peace and quiet, large spaces, trees and lake views this is it. For the price, however, some of the basic amenities like WiFi, laundry facilities and a swimming pool or hot tub should be available. They don t have that. For us, it was fine and we enjoyed our stay. The staff is super kind and helpful so service is top notch. We ll be back.

FINAL UPDATE: Three months later, no response, no contact, and they did not process my refund for the deposit of $350.00 or cleaning fee of $75.00 when I never set foot on the property. UPDATE #2: It s been a week, no response to my email THEY REQUESTED, and they have not processed my deposit refund either. UPDATE: Thank you for response to my review and I have sent an email to the address requested. We reserved a 3 night stay in a cabin and paid 1008.00 for cabin rental, cleaning fee ($75.00) and cabin deposit ($350.00). Came down with covid and called to cancel on the day we were to arrive. I was told it was too late to get any refund or credit. I signed the refund policy, so I accepted that, although the 3rd night should have been offered in park credit as it was cancelled 2 days in advance. Here s where it gets frustrating: they didn t refund my cleaning fee or my cabin deposit. I called weeks later and the employee said he would refund the cabin deposit, but that I technically wasn t owed anything back because we cancelled last minute and YOU signed the refund policy. He said the cleaning fee we had to pay since they cleaned the cabin for our stay! I tried to tell him cleaning fee is for AFTER the stay, we would expect to find a clean cabin at check in, but he was adamant. He kept angrily repeating that I was already getting more than I deserved by getting the deposit back. I offer this information so that others will confirm the policy before signing, because it doesn t support what they did to me regarding these 2 issues. I am sure it is a beautiful property, but renter beware.

Safe/clean/convenient with pretty views of the water and canoe/kayak rentals no actual playground Booked a last minute spring break practice camping trip with the kids hoping to play and hike and try out the new overland trailer for a night. Bathrooms are updated and cleaned daily - concrete paved spots and picnic pavilion for each spot with plenty of room to play around the trailer. Unfortunately both playgrounds are NOT playgrounds, rather they are volleyball nets. It rained 3 days prior to visit and any hiking trails were muddy with lots of standing water so no hiking. Good bird noises and calm setting to enjoy but entry price is due to location only.

We are new to the area and googled where good hiking trails were and ended up coming to the Hidden Coves Park. We drove up to the gate and the girl working looked at us with a blank stare and didn t address us until we said this was our first time. Paid $20 to get in to see a dirty park with lots of construction and garbage laying around and no trails in site. Definitely false advertising.

This has more of a state park feel than an RV park. The spaces are not concrete slabs 10 feet apart, but are spacious, with lovely views of the lake. We especially loved seeing the flock of wild turkeys roaming the area. Cant wait to come back! Update: Weve been back several times, and just love this park. Our daughter lives in Frisco, so it very convenient when planning visits. Clean park, great staff. We will be back again and again. Well done!

There is no wi-fi so if thats a do or die for you, make sure you have hot spot capability or dont come. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is your spot. The park is quite, serene and amazing IMO. Within a few minutes of arriving, we had 3 deer cross the road in front of us. While driving back to our campsite on Bobcat Trail, we saw wild bunnies playing and squirrels running around everywhere. RIght at the campsite there is an entire flock of turkeys that peruse the area. The lake was right behind us. There is a firepit and a bbq grille at our spot. For a couple that works and wants to get away from it all, we couldnt have asked for a better place. We will definitely be back.

This is a really dirty and horribly disgusting park. The grass areas are strewn with toilet paper, trash and used utensils. There are very few places with trees, so when its crazy hot in the summer there s no shade. The entrance fee is $20, thats more expensive than US national parks. If you want to rent a kayak at dfw surf, you cant park nearby their shop with your $20 day pass parking because that area is for members only, so you will have to walk in the hot sun for 10 min. The bathrooms were so disgusting we almost threw up. We basically paid $20 to visit a dump site. When i complained to management about the fee asking for a refund after being there for less than 30 min, i was told rudely, there s nothing we can do for you, good luck . DO NOT COME HERE EVER! - I just read the response from the management, and it s laughable. Not only was there any apologies for their rudeness, poor customer service, dirty facilities, dirty bathrooms, they are actually calling me, the customer, a liar for stating the truth about their facility. As a business, you need to read your reviews and reflect on what you can improve, or contact your customer to discuss what you believe can be fixed, and not attack your customers when they post the truth. I didn t write a single false statement. And yes, it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY and absolutely my right to post my truthful review to ensure others do not waste their time and money. Everyone, Is this the place you want to go to as a future customer? I Will absolutely be sharing this review and post with every single member of our community, I will also report this group to the better business bureau for lack of sanitation. Just read your other one star reviews and agree with everything they wrote. Don t spend your time being defensive on google, go clean up your facility. Good luck to you! Second response to rude and ridiculous management: again, not a single apology for their horrible customer service, dirty trashy park, non working bathrooms. ADDRESS YOUR PROBLEMS, YOU HAVE DIRTY FACILITIES, APOLOGIZE FOR THEM, FIX THEM. You seem to have no idea on how to respond to customers, you are the epitome of bad management, arrogance and ignorance. You have 4.3 stars for over 1000 reviews which means hundreds of other people also find your facilities disgusting and your management poor

We like the area and like the fact that there are cabins available to rent. However they keep raising the prices on the cabins. Many of the cabins need work the last one we stayed at would not lock. Also the bathroom door was broken. When you are paying $1000 for a couple of nights thats ridiculous. And the worst part is you always have to call them to get your depsit back. It takes weeks sometimes and multiple calls. I think they just try to see if you remember to ask for your deposit back. With the amount of money they are making they could at least get your deposit back on time..

Not Hidden. Barely a Cove. Dirty Marina. I would this place a 0 stars if I could. Heres why - 1. They charge $20 day pass fee. You get the privilege of choosing from a small parking area, which is generally overflowing with parked cars on weekends. No idea why. There are so many better options out in DFW. The majority of the parking area is reserved for members only. There are at least 15 signs around the parking lot reminding you about that. 2. Trash. Trash. Trash. Everywhere. Did I mention trash? Garbage, litter, rubbish as well. Hmm, I have seen cleaner park areas in downtown Chicago during Lollapalooza and New York on Thanksgiving Day parades. 3. During both my trips here spaced MONTHS apart, the restrooms werent working. My neighbors who have been here a couple of times complained about the same thing. Hey Management - Dirty portapottys are unacceptable when you charge a fee. Fix your toilets. Call a plumber. 4. Activities are few and far between and VERY member centric. You want to rent a kayak or a paddle board? Be prepared to hike from your second class parking area over to the exclusive member area. 5. There is something extremely petty about the way their management operates. I havent seen a business get so defensive about valid criticism. Check out their response to every negative review here on Google. I am sure they will have something to say about this one too. Hey guys - read the feedback, comprehend some level of consistency in the reviews, take the hit, and promise to do better. Dont get worked up if you dont LIKE the feedback and call people liars. Makes you look small. And foolish. 6. Last but not the least. Probably the most important reason. Its a DITCH yall. Just not that worth the time to stare at an average sized pond with muddy water. Seriously, there are better ways to spend your time. I hope this review convinces at least one soul to change their mind and go somewhere (anywhere!) else. Thanks for reading.

A month before the party I was called to see if I wanted to move the date because theyre be hosting a big event, I moved it no problem. Then get called saying they canceled the event. I was upset since I had to send 2 different types of invitations to 10-15 different people 2x. Yet, that wasnt all. When we get there there is beer cans all over the place, the bathrooms are out of order and there is people in our camp site. Including TONS of spiter websites. Also quiet after 10 doesnt mean quiet after 10 it means quiet after 2 am. Also insane amount of poison ivy

Camping area is clean and nice, and surprisingly insects free, wonderful lake with cool breeze all day long. Very friendly people in the reception. Plenty of people/visitors to the park around to enjoy day time, lonely quiet time at the night, boat rides during the day (bit costly, but worth it)......we are already planning our next trip here soon Tent camping site 25 & especially 27 are the BEST !!! Negative side: yep we understand we are camping, but restrooms are uhhhhhhh. OmG......please fix it....so that ateast people can go 1 or 2 bathroom with closed doors, NOT with open doors.....lol Im still giving 5* because other good things around here gave us a lot. Hidden cove park and marina is a very well maintained campsite. We thoroughly enjoyed the first half of our day there. However there are a couple of complaints that I think should be mentioned in here. First: when we arrived to camp may 21st 2022, there was a burn ban in affect. No complaint on our end except all of the neighboring campers had firepits burning despite the ban. Around 6 pm a security guard approached us to make sure we weren t burning anything in the fire pit, but instead of asking any other campers the dude just disappears. Our neighbors set up their camp literally 10 feet from our tent and started to burn a fire, and before we knew it we had to start packing up camp because of safety concerns. The wind was very very strong (28 mph) so the burn ban was obviously there for a reason. None of the other campers seemed to have any concern for anybody else around them. I know that the park itself has nothing to do with this, but we also happened to observe young children throwing rocks at baby ducks. Overall this campsite was very promising in the beginning but I m glad we didn t stick around because who knows what could ve happen with the strong wind and the raging fires.
