We had a wonderful time at this park watching the total solar eclipse. The event was surreal. The sun was suddenly black. I imagine in the underworld, this is what the sun looked like. The air was dark and cold. Venus could be seen piercing through a dark black blue sky like a small pinhole. Only light from the distant 360 degree horizon could escape the eclipse. Mid rises in the distance had lights on like it was late in the evening. A distant reminder that there was still civilization and we were not alone. The park furnished a great open space to experience this with plenty of space away from any other group of people. And the open space provided plenty of recreation for the kids as they would be restless waiting for the eclipse. There was still plenty of shade as we waited when the sun was still at full bloom. I highly recommend this park to view the next total solar eclipse in 2317 AD. Im sorry my picture doesnt do the eclipse justice. Maybe camera phones will be better in 300 years.

Came here for a lacrosse tournament. Fields were nice and I liked they had trash cans easily accessible, keeps the park clean, and the playground is nice and big enough to keep kids entertain. Toilets: We re centrally located and clean. The dryer was not working Dog-friendliness: Saw dogs walking around

We were in the grass near the playground on the Timber Ridge side of the park; two families, 7 kids, tossing a nerf football around. Some City of Frisco guy came by and said we couldnt be on that sports field without reserving it, and its closed until Feb, and we have to leave. Its not a baseball day (its January), hardly anyone at this entire park. He said to take it up with his boss, Blake Grimmett. Thought Id start here. I get we want to keep our athletic facilities nice, but this wasnt a baseball field. Its a patch of uneven dirt and sparse grass next to a playground. Of course, the guys playing roller hockey in the parking lot werent on a sports field so they were free to stay. I have no problem with them playing roller hockey there, its just a bit strange they werent breaking the rules, but we were. Its incredibly frustrating to live in a city that boasts all the great amenities to move here, and then we cant actually use the amenities? Ridiculous...

The Frisco Ruff Range is the best pet friendly spot! Lots of space to spread out. We enjoy off leash walks around the space and its pretty clean for the number of dogs that play!

Magnificent sports fields. My daughter played her first lacrosse tournament and we were very happy to have a beautiful Saturday morning. They have a place to eat (hot dogs, pizza, pretzel, coffee, drinks etc...). Bring cash because they do not accept cards. The facilities are large and very well maintained. I wish in my country they had those infrastructures for young people to play sports as I see them around here. We are very blessed with what we have in this country. Lets take care of the and lets continue to help the community when we can. Our children are the future. Lets take care of them.

Great park to come to they have public bathrooms and multiple fields. You do have to rent them so check it out when you get a chance. Overall very well maintained park and the park rangers are always constantly scouting for irregular activity. Great place to start a sports organization whatever it may be! Best of luck

Its a nice place. I only went to the dog park with my mom. She takes her dog almost every other day. Her dog loves it comes home and goes right to the couch. She gives it 4 paws and two wags of the tail.
