Mercury Chophouse is a culinary utopia where steaks are the stars of the show and the service is out of this world! From the moment I walked in, I felt like Simba returning to Pride Rock, but instead of a kingdom, I was greeted with the aroma of perfectly grilled steaks. Our server, Krystalynn, was as delightful as a Ludacris track on a sunny day, guiding us through the menu with the expertise of Rafiki and the charm of a hip-hop artist. The ribeye? Juicier than a gossip column and more flavorful than a Ludacris verse. The sides were so good, I almost considered starting a conspiracy theory about the secret ingredients. And dont get me started on the dessert it was the circle of life on a plate! If youre in Fort Worth and havent been to Mercury Chophouse, youre missing out on a gastronomic adventure that would make even Mufasa proud. Five stars, paws down!

Stepping inside this restaurant you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Mike and his fellow staff are highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and specials served daily. They provided excellent recommendations along with their friendly and professional demeanor that makes you feel like family. We ordered the Escargot, Chilean Sea bass & Swordfish, paired with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The chefs attention to plating and use of fresh, high-quality ingredients are evident in every dish. If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Elegant enough looking and high enough priced to be in the running for steakhouse choices in downtown Fort Worth. The trouble is the attitude and quality of service was terrible. Beyond slow, several messed up orders in our party, and a general rudeness. We were three couples sitting together and asked in advance if our checks could be separate and we would order as couples to keep it simple. The server gave a frown of disgust and then said, I can do it, but it will mean 10 minutes more of my time for each of the checks so just might not make your seats at the theatre. Mind you, we were there at 5:00 for a 7:30 show a 5-minute walk away. We said we understood and she was true to her word, delivering all three checks together and then picking them up each 10 minutes apart, filling her time between simply talking to other servers. The drinks were overpriced for the quality. A standout bad item ordered was a terrible beet salad (where s the beet, would be appropriate. For my personal meal, I had the black pepper crusted tuna mignon. That is what I ordered, but a filet mignon was delivered. I pointed that out and she argued with me. Everyone at the table said they heard me say tuna clearly and she said something under her breath and walked away taking the steak with her. She eventually brought the tuna which was so pepper covered and crusted you could not taste the tuna at all. Of course, when the bill came it was for the filet mignon and a charge for the asparagus that was supposed to come with the tuna. I pointed that out and she redid it changing to the tuna on the bill but still charging for the asparagus. A third bill required. Several others in our group had a fish special that they said was not good at all, and the couple of steaks were overdone. Then, to top it all off, a 20% gratuity was added automatically to each check for rude, slow and mismanaged service and less than average food.

I want to preface this review with this...I have been to this restaurant several times in the past for birthdays, anniversaries, etc... and have always enjoyed the food and the service from Michael (who always seems to be our waiter). But, last night was not a good experience. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a bad, sulfur type smell. The hostess did not greet us, nor was she particularly friendly. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were seated at a table near the bar, not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Anyways, my husband and two adult children were treating me to a nice dinner for Mothers Day since I work on Sundays. We sat at the table for a good ten minutes before anyone approached with menus or to see if we wanted to look at the wine menu. I ordered a drink, but my family stuck with water and the woman seemed visibly disappointed by this fact. The drink was brought and there was a chip in the lip of the glass. A replacement was brought, but not menus. Meanwhile, Michael seemed to be waiting on every other table in the restaurant, but not us. Eventually, the bartender approached and we ordered our food. Bread was brought and our water glasses were refilled promptly. So kudos, to that woman. Food arrived. We had to request knives to cut (Filet Mignon and Lamb shank). My plate was missing asparagus, but it was impossible to flag anyone down, so I just let it go. No one got our plates when we were finished. Or another drink. Eventually, Michael came over and got our dessert order and he was very kind. Said they were down two staff members. The manager/owner was seated at the bar and he didnt lift a finger to assist anyone. The only time he directed anyone to our table was when the credit card was out and we didnt have our bill. I usually really like this place, but last night left a bad taste in my mouth.

We loved it! It was a date night. We had the Tomahawk Steak it was more than enough for 2! The sides were awesome. The restaurant is beautiful Low lights very nice scenery. The bartender came to the table to ensure drinks were upstanding. It was all around great night.

They don t know how to cook meat and fish but their salads are good. Mike, the waiter, is very nice but if you make any complaints about the food, he seems to take it personally and becomes standoffish. We paid 70 bucks for swordfish that was dry and when we told our waiter, he acted like he didn t care to hear that. They didn t take it off the bill and didn t offer any discount. We ordered a ribeye the next time which was 80 bucks( more than Ruth s Chris) and it was a poor quality cut of meat that had a super duper salty, watery gravy on it that made it taste like the ocean. Way too salty! We informed Mike, our waiter and he became standoffish again like he did when we mentioned the dry as a bone swordfish. They took 30 bucks off the bill which was ridiculous considering we only took a few bites before realizing we could not eat it. My wife and I won t be back. Our time and money are too valuable to be treated like they don t care if we like the food or not. Ruth s Chris, we re sorry we cheated on you. It wasn t worth it and we ll never do it again! We ll see you soon, Ruth s Chris. You know what good quality meat is, you know how to cook, and you value your customers- unlike Mercury Chop House.

My visit to Mercury Chophouse was a delightful experience that I would rate as four stars. The ambience of the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, creating a perfect setting for a special dining occasion. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. The menu at Mercury Chophouse offered a diverse selection of dishes, and the food was well-prepared and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the quality of the steaks and the flavorful sides that accompanied them. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, adding to the dining experience. While I had a great time at Mercury Chophouse and would recommend it to others, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of management should let their servers interact and share their knowledge of food and wines. Some really do enjoy the knowledge of what they re drinking and eating. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that I would happily revisit in the future.

Service was terrible from the female server on shift last night at 6pm , and when I left and talk to the male manager, he kept interrupting me about my complaints on her service and how she did not even serve us bread like the other tables, an he also kept patting my on my shoulder , do not ever disrespect a customers complaint or physically touching them. First time here and it was EXCELLENT! Everything was good! The prime rib and shrimp scampi was delicious, prepared expertly, portions were ample and satisfying, and arrived just at the right time as we finished our brisket cigar appetizers. The brussel sprouts in butter and bacon?!!! Decadent!! I had a very nicely made smoked old fashioned from the bar. Well, OK, more than one! But seriously it was a well crafted cocktail and Im fairly snobbish about these! Finally, our waiter Mike was superb! Flawless, timely, pleasant, and attentive but not hovering! Our decision to dine at Mercury Chophouse was based on several positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. We were in the mood for a dining experience and spontaneously chose to visit this downtown Fort Worth establishment on a Friday evening. Right from the moment we walked in, we had reservations. The hostess appeared engrossed in her cell phone, and it was the bartender who eventually seated us. The fact that the restaurant was quite empty for a Friday night raised some concerns as well. We began with a round of drinks, and while my husbands choice was satisfactory, my espresso martini was a complete letdown. I knew from the description that espresso was not an ingredient but this seemed like a haphazard mix of various liquors that didnt blend well. When another staff member came to check on us, I asked for a replacement drink, which was kindly accommodated. However, a cocktail that had pumpkin and Russian in the name (cannot find it on their online drink menu) didnt leave a lasting impression either. I couldnt help but wonder if the bartender was having an off night or simply wasnt well-versed in mixology. It was becoming clear that something was amiss. Turning our attention to the salads, we ordered a wedge-style salad (not listed on the website menu) for my husband and a Caesar salad for myself. While my husband found his salad passable, my Caesar salad was a disappointment. The inclusion of tomatoes in a Caesar salad was a first for me, and the dressing was far too mayonnaise-heavy. The menu claimed the croutons were house-made, but they didnt live up to that promise. Given the price point, which totaled $70 for two drinks and two salads, we expected the quality of our dining experience to match. Instead, it felt more like a diner experience than a chophouse restaurant in downtown Fort Worth. I was left perplexed by the numerous positive reviews I had encountered earlier. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, the subpar food and lackluster drinks were a letdown. I would advise others to skip Mercury Chophouse and explore other dining options in the area. Your wallet and taste buds will thank you.

Absolutely incredible service! My wife and I took our friends out to celebrate a recent wedding and two birthdays. The experience was everything you could ask for from a high-end restaurant. The general manager was professional and kind, the waiters were attentive, and the food was prepared to perfection. At the end of the night the owner of the restaurant came down and introduced himself to the group and we got to talk for just a bit. Later that night my wife said it was like we were treated like royalty and I agree. This restaurant has heart and it goes far beyond five stars. We will definitely be back

First time here. For the price, not sure well return. The steak was great, cooked perfectly and was very good. But the Short Ribs were tough and tasted like they had been in the freezer too long. Salads were average, careful as they are full size meals, but you can ask for a small one. The Apple Cobbler was above average. Nice wine list with many by the glass. The service was chaotic, seemed like they were training people new to a fine dining establishment.

This was a very disappointing Christmas dining experience. We have eaten at this location several times before and never had an issue, so I did have something to compare it to. We had a reservation for 6 and I thought this would ensure prompt service. It seemed that it took longer to get seated because my mother was in a wheelchair. When they finally seated us, it was in the back corner by the kitchen. It was unbearably cold, we made mention to the waitress Trina, and it was not addressed. It was so cold my husband left the table in his coat to go stand by the pizza oven at the front door to get warm and my mom and her husband ordered hot tea to stay warm. We did enjoy the beef cigars and were hopeful that the rest of the meal would be, but it went completely downhill. Secondly, the service was very slow. This considering 4 of the 6 people at the table ordered the Christmas Specials incidentally there was nothing special about them. The Prime Rib was cold which was ordered by 2 people. We did mention it about one of the plates and Trina snatched the plate and said she would get the manager. When the plate was returned by the manager, it was warm, but an unnecessary comment was made, medium rare Prime Rib is never warm, which is not true. 2 of us ordered steaks. Mine was delivered cold and I ordered it medium, hers was ordered medium and hers was delivered rare. My asparagus was cold, the only warm thing I received was the potatoes au gratin as a side dish. All requests were received as a bother, and with rude rebuff, so after the Prime Rib debacle we just ate what we were given trying to make the best of a bad meal. I have never felt so ignored or disregarded as I did at this dinner. We had Christmas dinner at the Arlington location last year and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, I will not return to the downtown location ever again, and I will not recommend it to anyone. This was a poor experience call me crazy but for $600 ticket I really expected more.

Food was very good. Very understaffed. Forgot our salads. The table we sat at had a small gap between the wall and the table (end of restaurant between two columns). The people who bused the tables used that small area to walk through each time, interrupting our dinner numerous times (10 - 15). The waiter was kind enough to tell the bussers not to go through there but they continued to do so. Would be OK if we were sitting at a McDonalds but spending over $190.00 for the two of us on Christmas Dinner, that wasnt OK. I rarely complain but this was very irritating.

I expected a prime steak from a premium steak house. Mercury Chophouse advertises they use Allen Brothers steaks. I ordered a NY Strip that was just Choice quality; not prime. It required a sawing action to cut through gristle and was very chewy. When I complained, the manager got pedantic saying that a strip was not as tender as a filet. So I switched to a filet. I waited 10+ minutes for a replacement. The filet was served raw; there was a 1/8 rim of cooked meat on the periphery and absolutely raw inside. I sent it back. I was the host for 10 guests and all had finished their meals. My bill was $1300 and I did not get a steak. NEVER AGAIN !!!!

The ambiance was pleasant, the food was superb, and the service was exemplary. This was our first visit and we will make sure to come back again! I do think that they could improve their wine list a little bit but that could be because of shortages in selection so not a big deal this time. But, in addition to a knockout Old Fashion, everything we ate there was fantastic! The picture is of our dessert, the apple cobbler. We were so stuffed that my wife and I shared the cobbler but still took home a nice slice of cheesecake to enjoy later. Our son had the cheesecake which is why we ate decided to take one home. He loved it!

We used to come here every Christmas Eve. But the last three years have been inconsistent. If there s only a few patrons left in the restaurant they start closing it down moving tables around you and neglecting you. There used to be a band there every Christmas Eve or the night before and he seems to have stopped that resulting the ambience has disappeared. If You re not making enough money for the restaurant. This happened twice and the staff is usually short not keeping the service flowing. Will not come back here again as this was our favorite. We do have a new favorite on Magnolia that we will just resume going.

My wife and I were guests of a vegan couple. I was the only diner who ordered beef, the ribeye suggestion of our waiter. Steak was overcooked and had a lot of gristle. Huge miss for FW fine dining. I ve been to the Arlington location many times and it s always been a superb experience. The food at the FW location was fantastic, atmosphere overall was nice, and we enjoyed the musician. Other than the good food and live music, the experience at the two locations couldn t have been more different. From the warm martini, being seated across from the cleaning supply storage area as our view, to the unhelpful wait staff, and apathetic manager, we won t be going back. I usually give places a second chance but with that near empty restaurant and little effort to make it right, there are way too many other great places to eat in DFW!

We had a party of 8. The evening started off fine and then things started going down hill. Glasses were not filled. Drinks from the bar took way to long to arrive or the waiter forgot them. Food orders were not delivered. The food was ok, but not worthy of the prices on the menu. We asked the waiter to divide the check by the four couples. After 30 minutes, we asked about the checks and were told that the waiter was having trouble and they asked what everyone ate and drank again. After 45 minutes, we asked the manager to get involved with the delivery of the checks. When they finally arrived, we were charged for items not delivered or charged for drinks and food ordered by others in our party. As we watched other tables arrive, eat and then leave before us, we could not understand why an upscale restaurant could not deliver our checks after 45 minutes. To top it off, we were automatically charged 20% tip on each check. After arguing with the manager, he finally agreed to take it off. Whew! After a three hour experience, I think we have had enough of this place.

We went out on a date night and decided to go somewhere we have never been before. The staff and service was EXCEPTIONAL. The atmosphere was great and there was privacy between the smaller tables. The steak was melt in your mouth and the rest of the food was also super good. The restaurant was a bit understaffed but that s definitely expected in this day and age, and they tried really hard to accommodate our large party despite the staffing difficulties. I will definitely be back!

Loved it!! When we walked in, I was unsure if they were open. It was quiet. Very little noise. Atmosphere is a little dark, once seated, it was comfortable. Our waiter, was a mind reader. While sharing the specials and discussing the menu, he seemed to read my mind. We both started with a salad and some bread. The magic happened when the meals came out. The lamb was seared perfectly and cooked to medium. Was delightful. Eagerly awaiting our next trip.

We were a table of 13 on Saturday night for a birthday. We received atrocious service and racial discrimination. When it came time to pay a waiter came over and handed the table a bill that he had scribbled all over. He changed the total price too! He said this was due to the 20% added gratuity and he was very upset that we were questioning why he decided to write on the bill instead of just having be itemized on the bill. The hostess got involved and got us a new bill which is miraculously $200 cheaper then the bill we were given initially. The waiter crumbled up the first bill but I got a picture of it before he threw his fit. Why would we not be allowed to ask questions about our bill? Very strange behavior. The waiter definitely made assumptions due to our race and ultimately backfired on him. I will be patiently awaiting a response from the manger explaining that waiters unprofessional behavior and how he treated us.

Got there early at 6:00 for dinner so seating was not an issue. Ordered cocktails which were served promptly. Problem started after we ordered salads which the waiter said were big enough to share but no need to because he could serve smaller portions but we were charged for full sized salads. Next after we received our entree we noticed that the steaks were over cooked. One was ordered medium rare and the other medium. The medium rare was a little past medium and the medium was well done. After we were able to get the waiters attention we were told to cut into the middle of the steaks and they should be a little closer to how we ordered them. Problem is I wanted to eat the entire steak. Waiter then informed us that they would not be able to prepare another steak. Manager explained that sirloin could not be prepared the way we ordered them and that they cut their own meat which didn t solve my issue. Maybe they should cut them thicker? He did prepare another steak but it was a smaller filet and it was still partially over cooked. All things considered this was not a good experience for the price. Del friscos grill is just down the street and so is capital grille. We won t be returning to this location for mercury chop house. The Arlington location is much much better.

The only good thing about this place was our server. He made sure we were doing good, apologized for all the inconveniences we experienced and was very professional. However, we were seated about 2-3 feet from other people where we literally could reach a hand on to their table on both sides. This was our 3rd time visiting this establishment but it will definitely be our last. The two previous times were excellent with great service and even better food. Saturday 2/12/22 was not the case. We had 8:30pm reservations and we arrived about 7:45. We were sat fairly promptly. We waited a prolonged length to be greeted, about 50 minutes to receive our food only for it to be half cooked. We asked for the manager several times and after my hubby asked for the 4th time the owner came out. He apologized but acted as if it were no big deal. They took our same plates heated the food longer and re-served it to us (I know because my meat still had the cut I made in it). We were left to eat our sides while we waited once again. We w spent $282.00 for myself, mother and hubby. We were not even discounted a mere 10% for the inconvenience. Next time we will go to Ruth Chris, Capital Grille or anywhere besides Mercury chophouse. They ruined our evening that was supposed to be special for my mother.

Dined here two years ago and had an amazing experience. We chose to come again prior to our New Year s Eve festivities. We had reservations and were promptly seated. It took a while for a proper welcome and someone to take our cocktail order. There were numerous open tables all around us so too many patrons was not the issue. Once the waiter arrived, we finally got menus and our drink order taken. It went well, service wise, from that point forward. I have worked in the service industry so I understand that things can go wrong in the kitchen and can t be helped. Our calamari came out late and was inedible because it was so chewy (which we chose not address because so many other things were going wrong). Then, the waitress (an older blonde woman) chose to basically give up on our table and even rolled her eyes at us when we didn t want to take the calamari home with us. We had to ask the front of the house multiple times for help because she was avoiding us even though we weren t upset like I get it stuff happens. We ordered wine with our meals which did not arrive until we were basically finished and it wasn t the correct wine that we ordered. Normally for these types of circumstances, a manager or waitress would comp something at least from my experience. Overall the food was good apart from the calamari, but our waitress attitude was rude and it made us feel quite uncomfortable and unfortunately ruined our experience

We had the best experience here at Mercury Chophouse in Ft Worth. Sherene welcomed us and sat us quickly even though we did not have a reservation. A gentlemen behind the bar, I didn t catch his name, gave us wonderful suggestions from the bar and was super friendly. Arthur, our server, was an absolute joy. He was super friendly and fast. I recently dined at Mercury Chophouse and had on of the BEST experiences, ever! It started with our server, Shereen, who is absolutely amazing. She was on top of our drinks, was super personal with us to the point of finding out we both have mini yorkies and I LOVE that about her. She was SO fun to be around and in the short timeframe we were there I instantly found a friend in her. I could rave on and on about her professionalism and great service! Now lets talk about the food! AMAZING!! I ordered the angel hair pasta with Madeira Cream Sauce (highly highly recommend)! the menu had it with either chicken or shrimp, but I REALLY wanted to try their seared scallops, so suggested I add a couple to the pasta, which I did ... and it was top notch! I also ordered the creamed spinach ... which was probably the best creamed spinach Ive ever had. YUM. I couldnt stop eating it. My friends ordered various things from a the chop salad, to steak, etc. and they all told me it was the best theyve had! I did try my friends mushroom risotto (because I also was really curious to try ... risotto is so hard to perfect!) ... and it was absolutely delicious. Hands down ... 5 stars ... 500 stars if I could give it that many!!! Thank you Mercury Chop House for being one of my favorite restaurants, to date, and every time I come back to Ft. Not all bad however I was there recently had ordered a Manhattan at the bar. The one of the bartenders over poured my drink. When I say over poured I mean the entire Manhattan was all bourbon. Also, I guess they are working on getting their restaurant status so you must eat if you drink. They had a paper menu that had a unusual/funny mistake so we pointed it out and tried to be a bit humorous about it to a (the) manager but she was not remotely amused, not that the mistake was made but that we had the audacity to point it out. This is an amazing restaurant! I was a little skeptical At first. We had reservations but had to wait a bit to be seated, but now I understand, once you re in you don t want to leave... the staff is great all around. Shereen waited on us and was amazing! Very professional and so friendly. She recommended the porterhouse steak and it was so tender, absolutely delicious! They even brought the steak to our table to approve before cutting it for us. My husband chose this spot and made a reservation to celebrate a professional career milestone for me. Reservations were limited so we went to an early dinner- the only other choice available was rather late. When we arrived we were a bit confused because the restaurant was virtually empty and remained that way for our entire visit. We would have preferred a different time but were told it was not available- that was clearly false. The ambience was off- we all had to keep our coats on because the restaurant was freezing. Having just come out of the winter storm in the DFW area, common sense would dictate that the restaurant would have their heat turned on but it was very cold inside. They also did not keep any background music playing so it felt a bit hollow. Our server was perfectly courteous although he spoke very loudly and it made us a bit uncomfortable and it took away from any sense of an intimate atmosphere. The entrées that were chosen were a crispy chicken, a steak and my husband chose the special which was a fish. My best description of the food is cruise ship. They put effort into presentation, but should put more effort into recipe and flavor which were both lacking quite a bit. My chicken was very difficult to cut and chew, I gave up. Steak was over done, ordered medium, it arrived gray all the way through. My husband ordered the special and it was extremely overpriced from what was presented to him. I was very appreciative of the effort he put into making a nice evening for me but I can assure you we will never return to this lackluster attempt at a high-end restaurant. Eddie V s is nearby and does a fantastic job and is similarly priced. I honestly don t know how this restaurant has made it through the pandemic but it feels as though they won t survive much longer. The only place that took us in late. The martinis were good, our service was perfect, and the food was excellent!! I cant say enough good things about our experience. Very impressed!! Many thanks to the chef, our server and bartender for an amazing night. Cant wait to come back.

This place is amazing EVERYONE was so nice to us, always made sure our glasses were full and dirty plates were removed promptly. Our waiter was Eric and he was so kind! The food was AMAZING! Thank You for making our 10th Wedding Anniversary one to remember with your kind staff and amazing food! We will definitely be going back!!!

Arthur smiley was absolutely great. Had an amazing attitude, a good knowledge of the menu and also knew the wine list. As someone in the wine industry it is always refreshing to see find people who not only know the products but can speak intelligently on them. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked. I wasnt blown away by the calamari with marinara risotto but it was something I have never seen before and I love adaptation and evolution. If you are in the area I recommend a stop by

We were looking for a nice place to have dinner and certainly found it in Mercury!!! ARTHUR Smiley was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! He started by accommodating our wish to be on the patio with an absolutely, my pleasure. He had to set up a table for us. He was by far the best server I have ever had and this is coming from someone who spent 20+ as a restaurant general manager which means I have high expectations on what service should be and Arthur and Eric the bartender did not disappoint!!! We both ordered the filet and it was PERFECTLY grilled!!! We ask to thank the chef and Josephine and Im not sure the other girls name both came out so we could thank them for doing such an amazing job on the food! They were both sweet ladies! In a day where it is difficult to find good help and people who seem to enjoy their job, Mercury was a breath of fresh air!!! Thank you to everyone at Mercury for making our Friday night a wonderful evening!!
