New location and I miss the rooftop bar however the food is still fantastic. Had the bone in porkchop and the sirloin. Great flavor and cooked to order. Most importantly rhe apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream was out of this world. Andre took care of us at the table and he was fantastic. Will be back!

Very disappointed after looking forward to a great meal and ready to pay the high prices of top end steakhouses to get one. Went on a Sunday evening 2 weeks ago and was so disappointed in the food that it took a while to get over it so I could objectively write about it. The steaks were poor quality, tough and not cooked correctly. Ordered the Calamari and ended up with short fried strips of what I could only describe as fake crab meat that were too greasy and not crisply fried. The vegetables were so over salted and mushy that I could not eat them. Very low end food and very poorly done. The service and cocktail however was top notch. I did complain about the food and they removed the steaks from the bill. Because the service was so good I still gave a full tip but afterwards did not feel as good about that as the food was so bad. Not sure what happened after they moved locations and I think probably the Staples they are known for like the Chicken Fried Steak may still be good but it seams like they have cut cost on the quality of the food and the chefs and it shows.

The tamale appetizer was a meal in itself. We would do it again. The flavor combination of the bacon wrapped jalapeños stuffed with crab sounded better than it tasted. The bacon was too fatty, which didnt compliment the crab, so I was able to eat only two bites. The peach creme brulee texture was smooth but not as peachy as we were told it would be. The best part of our experience was the seasoned waitress, who gave us good advice about what we ordered.

We came in for an early light dinner. We were able to get a Spanish-speaking server, which was nice. She was great, and definitely helped make the experience good. The house bread was really good, we especially loved the bacon jalapeno cornbread bites and she whipped butter. We got a few cocktails - the Cosmo was fine but the blackberry smash was really really good. Definitely get that one if you re having trouble deciding. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp. It came with onion strings (yum) and cornbread with some sauce underneath the cornbread, which wasn t listed on the menu. Not sure what it was. Shrimp were decent, nothing special, but not super overcooked like some places. I would probably try a different appetizer next time. For the main, we shared one of their specials, a filet. It was decent, again, nothing special, but cooked fine. I will note that I got it without the bleu cheese sauce it came with, so maybe that s the flavor addition it was missing. I just hate bleu cheese. Asparagus was fine. The cheddar mashed potatoes that it came with were delicious. Definitely would get those again. We finished with the apple crisp for dessert. I generally enjoy apple crisp, but this was a little too sweet for me. I think the caramel on top was just a little too much and that the apples were pretty overpowered. I did like that they had a dessert tray, I feel like no one has those anymore. Next time, I would definitely try the banana pudding or the bread pudding tamales. Overall, nice atmosphere, great service, but mostly only decent food, which personally I would want to be amazing for the price.

The food at that price point was mediocre at best. Took my gf here. She had the citrus chicken which was alright. I had the carne asada which was just comically bad. Took like 2 bites and left it. We started out with bacon wrapped shrimp which came out literally like 1 minute after we ordered it so I instantly knew this was not gonna be good. And it wasnt. The shrimp were WAY overcooked and had the consistency of old bubble gum. But the molten chocolate cake for dessert was fantastic. As was the service. Our waiter was top notch. So all in all, should have gone to Bobs down the street.

Some people we know have talked about it, so we tried it out. We reserved a table on the rooftop on the fourth floor (it s reserved only no walk in s) and what a sight. We started off with some drinks of local Rhar & Sons draft, followed by stuffed crab jalapeño bacon wrap with grits. And let me tell you, they didn t skimp on the bacon! For the entree, I found this gemstone when the waitress addressed us that this was not on the menu of that Duck Meat with spinach and black-eyed peas. This duck was flavorful and juicy. To finish it off was Chocolate Taco with Rich Vanilla Ice Cream with strawberries, mint, and also White Chocolate Crumbs.

This establishment was once one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Worth, and my wife and I used to dine there frequently. I must admit that the ambiance at the new location is not as inviting or comfortable as it was before the move. The seating arrangement feels cramped, and the acoustics are such that I could hear conversations from nearby tables more clearly than I could hear the people at my own table. My wife ordered a brunch that included waffles (which were unfortunately quite dry) with fried quail (which had too much batter) and fruit. I had a smash burger and fries. The smash burger was satisfactory, but the fries were excessively seasoned. We will give Reata another try, but if different seating and food do not change our experience, it will be our last visit.

We came here on our honeymoon and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was romantic. We shared the tenderloin tamales, and they were downright AMAZING! They were filled with flavor, tender, and moist. The Pecan mash and sauce on top was the perfect compliment to the tamales. Warning: they are really big and filling! I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and veggies, and it was the perfect combination. My husband had the carne asada and cheese enchiladas, and for being a steakhouse, they were some of the best enchiladas I have EVER had. We came to the location the week before they closed, and it was the perfect close to our honeymoon.

My first time at Reatas. I know theyre known for their steak. Ill get that next time. We had the Chili Rellenos, the Salmon and the Tortilla soup. I really enjoyed the Rellenos. Will get that again! The Salmon was really good. But no better than Ive had anywhere else. But let me warn you about the Tortilla Soup... If you like a giant bowl full of fried tortilla strips with just enough chicken broth to fill the bowl half way, then this is the soup for you! I had to take out half the tortilla strips and it was still too much! And yes there were a few bits of chicken here and there. And they pre squeezed the limes into the soup then threw the squeezed lime quarters in the soup! (I had to fish them out) It was to much lime juice. I prefer to squeeze my own limes in my soup, to my taste. The soup was an awful experience. I was really close to sending it back. Dont get the soup unless you like it very tangy and mostly tortilla strips. I will go back. The steak looks really good!

I spent my time and money at Reatas as a brand new customer and may I say I did not realize how BAD it would turn out to be!!!!! The atmosphere is great and so is the food until you wait about two hours. I got severe food poisoning and was sick for DAYS!!!!! I have NEVER been so sick in my life! About a month after I ate at this place is was shut down for health reasons. I did my research and it turns out this place has failed their health inspection twice in the last two years. Then, I read the details and the report stated their was black organic matter in the ice machines, no approved water system, and their was contamination on food stations which was VISIBLE!!! I have never been so horrified in my life from reading a report and it explains all of the stomach issues I have had since.

Food was good. What was a complete shock after going for years and years and valeting is that the valet company has now recently changed and they charged 35 dollars to park my truck while we ate dinner. Then the guys were so lazy they didnt want to wait until we were done dining and they came and found me at my table to give me my keys and demanded their 35 dollars and left. So just understand that if you valet its not like it used to be and 35 dollars is a little excessive imo especially when you are too lazy to finish the job. I didnt want to make a scene because we had guests but if it had just been my wife and I the valet company and me would have had some words.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Reata restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant is situated in a historic building, imbuing the atmosphere with a sense of charm and nostalgia. However, I was disheartened to learn that they will be moving soon due to a lease issue, so I highly recommend visiting while you still have the chance to enjoy the great rooftop views. To start off, I ordered the habanero margarita, and it was a perfect blend of spice and flavor. It provided a refreshing kick to begin the meal. Next, I indulged in a wedge salad that was simply exceptional. The flavors were perfectly balanced, making it a true delight for the taste buds. For the main course, I opted for the special of the day, which was a sirloin accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes, buffalo shrimp, and a tantalizing house sauce drizzled on top. The combination of flavors was outstanding, and each element of the dish complemented the others beautifully. To top off my dining experience, I couldnt resist trying the sourdough bread pudding tamale with a scoop of ice cream. The dessert was a unique twist on a classic, and it exceeded my expectations. The blend of textures and the sweetness of the ice cream perfectly complemented the rich flavors of the bread pudding tamale. The service at Reata was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their attentiveness and knowledge of the menu added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. I would rate the service as superb. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Reata restaurant. The combination of a great location, rich history, and delectable dishes make it a must-visit establishment. However, do keep in mind that they will be moving soon, so make sure to seize the opportunity to savor the rooftop ambiance while you still can. Reata certainly exceeded my expectations, and I am confident it will do the same for anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience.

A party of 4 around 7pm. Appetizer, shrimp was good. Cocktails were good. 2 out of 4 food was good. My spouse had a Mexican entree served upon a ? steak. The steak was supposed to be medium rare. It was bloody rare and super chewy. Inedible, however one of my frugal fellow diners said they would take it home. Our server, Ethan, was super professional and pleasant and he graciously comped that rare inedible entree. Understand he did not have to do that as we took it with us. I had the red fish and around 3am had 3 episodes of profuse vomiting with diarrhea. Had to be on an early am flight home and was praying i would make the flight without any incidents. Parking: The valet sent us around the corner of the restaurant and after we stood there for 5-10 minutes went back to the valet service and our vehicle was delivered a few minutes later in front of the restaurant. Valet guy apologized and onerhood him telling the driver they messed up.

Always great food and service. Its not a bad thing on the menu, and the service is great. It is located in a perfect spot to enjoy downtown Ft. Worth. The valet is cheap if you choose that instead of parking on the street or garage. Highly recommend if in the area. Food

Order came out wrong, steaks were not cooked as ordered. Brought salmon that wasnt ordered. It was a terrible birthday experience for all. The manager Scott had 2 more steaks cooked but the meat was full of fat and difficult to cut and eat. First time visit for our party and likely our last one.

The service we experienced was highly unsatisfactory. Our meal was delayed by an hour, and the appetizer we ordered was never served. When our main courses finally arrived, it was apparent they had been sitting out for some time. We requested that our steak and sides be reheated, which unfortunately resulted in an additional 15-minute wait. Given the overall delay, we decided to cancel our dinner after nearly two hours of inadequate service, during which time our beverages were not refilled nor were we acknowledged by the waitstaff. When we expressed our concerns to the manager, the response was simply an apology and an offer to cover the cost of a single beverage we had. Overall, this was a profoundly disappointing experience marked by a significant lack of customer service. I will most likely never try this restaurant again. So disappointed

Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS and I d chalk it up as the best Mexican meal I ve had to date. Phenomenal restaurant with phenomenal food.

In from out of town, the reviews are quite good, but our experience wasn t. Tortilla soup totally bland. Rellenos and carne asada forgettable. The waitperson bringing the asparagus appetizer let the bundle slip off the plate; he grabbed it with his bare hand and thought it made sense to serve it that way. One in our party ordered a beer, which took twenty minutes to arrive. One of the sides we ordered never arrived. An interminable wait for the check. So maybe we just showed up on an off night, but it was a big disappointment.

I m visiting from London Ontario Canada area. This place is great. I had the bone-in pork chop and it was perfect. I don t eat vegetables but I m sure they were great too. I grace to talk aboot the service though eh? Our server Autumn was amazing. She was thorough, friendly, she presented the food very well and when she brought out our desserts she laid on the southern belle accent very thick for us Canadians. Overall an amazing experience, fantastic food and the service is next level.

We came to Reata while in town on spring break. We booked a reservation for 6, but decided to go early. The table was ready when we arrived, but we went to the rooftop bar for one drink first. It was fun and a great view! We then were seated right away. The waiter Brandon knew was knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant s favorites. My husband got the carne asada and I got the citrus chicken - both so yummy! Oh and actually can t forget about the biscuits and cornbread they brought out first - amazing! Then for dessert we were shown all the options and given explanations. We went with the dessert tacos which were fabulous. And overall we spent just under $100 so not too shabby! Definitely recommend!

Our first time here and we loved everything. The restaurant is located near Sundance Square in Downtown. You can have a wonderful before or after meal walk around. The atmosphere is very rich, with lots of wood and a private room in the middle of the dining room with beautiful sculptures around the sides. The noise level was very modest. I would rate this food on par with Sullivans or Ruths Chris, but it about 65% of the cost. Anniversary place- yes; impress date place- definintely. Wine list is 2.5 to 3X retail, about right.

Had the carne asada entree. It came out promptly and was quite delicious. Plenty in the way of portion and overall tasted very good. Had the birds and the bees alcoholic drink as well which if you like ginger beer, it tastes quite flavorful. The location has a roof option which has covered areas that provide a lovely overlook of downtown. Service was friendly, professional and attentive. The biggest drawback for the place is the price. It is on the expensive side but the food is good. Parking: Parking is not ideal. Valet is available specifically for the location. Street parking is also available but can vary on the time of day. A parking garage is a few blocks away which is the the most stress free option. It is free on the weekends.

This western themed restaurant is a must see in downtown Fort Worth. We started with a bowl of tortilla soup and loved the nice blend of spices. For an entree, we split the cornmeal crusted halibut with a lobster pico sauce on a bed of rice and broccolini. Absolutely delicious. The service team carried through with the southern hospitality. Love the location and decor of the restaurant and our server Brandon was wonderful and attentive. The ambiance was spot on. The food was lackluster and I have to say I was disappointed. The tenderloin tamales are a miss. Not a lot of flavor and the addition of whole kernel corn distracted from the mouth feel of a tamale. The bread was ok. The bacon wrapped shrimp was very good but came to the table cool. The elk sausage was very good and the grits were good as well. There were 4 of us who all got tenderloin/ribeye and all but one steak was very overcooked and dry although the wonderful mashed potatoes helped. None of us at the table ever send food back so before you ask, IYKYK. For dessert half got banana pudding the other half got dessert tacos. The tacos were phenomenal. By far the highlight of the dinner. The banana pudding was wonderful and fluffy although the cinnamon sugar on the cookies was not a good addition. Although the overall experience was great, the main attraction, the food, was not worth the hefty price tag.

Walk in, and you can clearly see around 5 open tables in the dining area. We left and went to wicked butcher, no issues, honestly better food. Food is pretty good. Service is great. Wasnt really a fan of the special, had way too much whole peppercorn. Pretty sure theres more peppercorn on it than there was meat. However, that is only one dish, had the chicken a couple times there and its really good. Also drinks her very good as well.
