This is in my opinion a must stop place for anyone touring the Dallas area! The atmosphere is really fun, as are the public shows and sights to see. Theres a good mix of dramatization and informative history and a wide range of shops to browse between events. I highly suggest checking out the spice and tea shop in the old train station if you have the time and there are a few surprisingly fashionable boutiques along the main roads, though you do have to look for them. The restaurants around here are really good to so make a day of it! If its not to hot try to hit it all. It might not be a theme park you want to go to again and again but its something you truly dont want to miss!

Third time there and last. The restaurants are ok- pricey. All the shops are way overpriced- lots of people . If you re going to the rodeo eat before you go down there and save some money. Wear comfortable walking shoes because you will do a lot of walking

Definitely a wow experience, just as you would imagine Texas. Very clean and not as busy on weekdays as on weekends. There are a lot of shopping options, whether you have a small or large budget. The Longhorns are impressive, you can sit on them for $10. The food was very good, we kept asking if everything was okay - very friendly service. A REAL MUST!

Its definitely a fun experience to visit and explore. There are events planned throughout most of the weekends and some days, but the open shops can make for a fun exploration. The resturaunts are another matter. They are generally extremely busy due to them being the closest places in the Stockyards, not because of their quality. Our experience was long, slow to provide the food, and way over crowded due to the location. Just too much for us.

The area has great ambiance and cool aestetics. After we got there to look around and have some fun. The petting zoo had a bunch of goats and I think a llama you had to pay $5 for entrance. There was a horseback ride for 45 to an hour round trip for $75 per person. The kid maze was pretty fun $8 each for that 10 min wander. Kids had to do the mechanical bull, $11 I feel like that was the best money spent. The run of the bulls, was the thing we looked forward to and it was a little disappointing. They were huge and the horns were really long unfortunately there was only 6 or 7 bulls...was looking forward to maybe 15. The shops were amazing so cute and authentic! Idk what I was hoping really but more than that. It was by no means a bad experience but the ads and infor put out was lacking details and prices. Now the rodeo!! Thats the reason we visited. There were so many different events. The kids watched all of them super focused and cheered on all the contestants. Enjoy the photos!

I mean, its a wonderful experience. Great hospitality and professionalism by the entire staff. Beautiful train with air-conditioner and ceiling fans! We purchased 1st class tickets and the prices are not bad at all. Snacks like popcorn, chips, chocolate, water, sodas, and apple juice are available for purchase. There was a singer in our cab and she sang beautifully and was lots of fun. The downside of this experience is that its very short. The views were just not what we expected. We saw nothing but run down unattractive areas. It only goes so far, stops, and then goes in reverse back to the station. I attached the better scenery photos. Good experience and I recommend for that purpose.
